From introduction to wedding day Shaniska was a dream to work with. Starting with my first call she was knowledgeable and organized which is so important with a wedding hair and makeup artist. She did my trial for my rehearsal dinner and made the whole experience so fun. She listened to everything I wanted and was able to make any changes I asked for and came prepared the next day with additional eye shadow colors and hair tools so my vision was absolutely perfect. She created a day of timeline for the day of my wedding and she stayed on time and made the whole morning run super smoothly. We all loved our hair and makeup and it lasted through a very humid Bahamas day! I can’t say enough good things about her and her team. If you are thinking about booking her DO IT!Callidora's reply:

Since I am from out of town we didn't have a chance to do a trial run, but I really loved my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot. My makeup stayed perfectly in the Bahamas heat (sweat). And I feel like she listened to my wishes and really highlighted my natural features.Callidora's reply:

Shaniska and the Callidora team exceeded our expectations for our destination wedding in the Bahamas! The communication was outstanding and they made me and all of my wedding party look so beautiful. There were constant changes/additions to my wedding party doing their hair and make up and Callidora was so accommodating. I’m not someone who usually wears makeup everyday and Shaniska made my hair and make up look exactly how I wanted and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Callidora was extraordinary throughout this whole process and communicated everything and made sure that the timeline was all set. Truly, hiring Callidora was one of the best wedding decisions I made.

Cannot recommend enough!
Callidora was by far the best vendor choice I made for my destination wedding! Shaniska and the team met and exceeded mine and my bridesmaids’ expectations for my wedding day. They were the most responsive and easy to work with vendor I had for my wedding. Shaniska was so knowledgeable about the products and process for my wedding make-up and was extremely thoughtful and meticulous when applying my wedding day look. The entire Callidora team was very professional and overall a pleasure to work with. I couldn’t be happier with how my make-up came out on my wedding day and am so happy I trusted Callidora. The absolute best experience! The kindest sweetest soul and had the gentlest touch. I could have fallen asleep while she was prepping my hair it was so relaxing.
I have stick straight hair that falls within minutes. And with having my wedding during a tropical storm, I was terrified that my hair would not hold up. I am so glad I put my trust in Shaniska of Callidora Faces.
I had beautiful curls that held up until the next day!!!! I got to have my beautiful wedding hair 2 days in a row! My veil was secured tightly in place, nothing could mess my hair up. and everything looked PERFECT!
And the makeup! Wow! The airbrush was the lightest thing I have ever felt on my face. It felt like she was just blowing air and it held up all night.
100000% recommend Callidora for your bridal hair and makeup. I promise you will not be disappointed.
She arrived to my room at Baha Mar on time and took her time to make sure everything was perfect.Callidora's reply:

Absolutely wonderful experience!! She made my makeup look soft and beautiful, but also highlighted my best features and it lasted throughout the evening. My hair was just what I wanted. Photos turned out great. I was a bit nervous coming from overseas and skipping a trial but we had a great chat ahead of time and she asked the right questions to understand exactly what I wanted. Very professional with quality products as well. I just can’t say enough good things!!Callidora's reply:

I contacted Callidora becasue they were recommended by my wedding planner. Shaniska Adderley was amazing. My hair and make up were on point. I don't typically wear make up and she was able to do a very natural make up on me and it was perfect, exactly what I had wanted! Shaniska is a truly professional makeup artist. She was recommended to me by my wedding planner and I could not have had a better experience. Not only did she execute my look exactly, Shaniska was kind, easy to get along with, and she went above and beyond in helping me with my dress and stayed beyond her time booked. You get what you pay for with professionals.... and in this case, 10 star service!! I would not change a thing and I would choose Shaniska over and over again.

From the moment I connected with Shaniska from Callidora I knew I was in good hands. She was like an old friend from the very beginning and understood exactly what I was looking for. Her communication and responsiveness leading up to the big day really put me at ease. She was so professional and really knows her stuff. When she showed up we had the best time getting ready and she made my hair and makeup MAGIC. I got married on the beach at sunset and the look she gave me was more than I’d hoped for. And let me tell you…it lasted far into the next day even after a dip in the pool and ocean (and after some tears during the ceremony the night before!). If you are looking for someone to do your hair and makeup for a Bahamas wedding…look no further!!!!! I miss her already!Callidora's reply:

Great wedding hair and makeup
We were referred to Shaniska by our photographer. She was great at getting back to me and figuring out a way to get my bridal hair and makeup done during the pandemic. She also was able to fit me in on short notice. She has a ton of skill with BOTH hair and makeup! Updo’s, braids, lash strips. She can do it all. We loved the look and personable experience. She sent me on my way with some touch up powder and emailed me later to confirm everything went well. Would book again if we needed hair or makeup in the Bahamas again.Callidora's reply:

Shaniska was one of the best - quite frankly, she is the best in the Bahamas! I 100% trusted her. She made my bridesmaids and myself (the bride) look absolutely incredible. The makeup she used stayed on all night even when I was dancing and ended up in one of the pools w/ my hubby, it still stayed on / looked flawless! Amazing Makeup and Hair!
When I booked my wedding at Atlantis, I was really nervous about looking for a makeup artist knowing that my contact with them would be very limited before the wedding. I was also nervous because I have very unique features and eyes that I felt I could not trust any makeup artist with. But I took a chance with Callidora and I've got to say their head makeup and hairstylist Shaniska and her team exceeded all my expectations. Shaniska is not only incredibly talented and knowledgeable, but she is so kind and sweet and charismatic, and easy to work with. When I ended up changing my mind on what kind of look I wanted, there were zero problems and she was quick with emailing me suggestions. She was patient and good at listening when I described every detail of how I wanted to look, and takes her time perfecting details. Fast forward to the wedding weekend and things were crazy - long story short, I ended up having a black eye from a freak accident and I was crying and very upset (as any bride would be!). Not only was she very comforting, but to my amazement she COMPLETELY covered it up and you could not tell that anything happened to me eye! I had a big bridal squad with 10 bridesmaids, but Shaniska and her team handled it like pros. I felt like a million bucks with my hair and makeup, and am SO happy that I went with Callidora for my big day, and recommend them highly!Callidora's reply:

Shaniska was absolutely fantastic. I was traveling from Seattle and very nervous about my hair and make-up for my destination wedding, but she put me right to ease at our trial. She spent 3 hours with me at my trial making sure my hair and make-up were exactly what I wanted. I typically hate getting my makeup done as I am very particular with make-up. But she wasn't afraid to be daring and really take it to the place I wanted it. And the outcome was AMAZING!!! Out of all of my destination wedding vendors, Shaniska was my absolute favorite to work with!! She was always professional, on time and extremely patient as we explored multiple looks at the make-up trial. The hours flew by as we talked about life, love, and everything in between. On the actual wedding day, Shaniska arrived with her helpful team and wowed my girls and I with how efficiently and strategically they got each and every one of us looking fabulous. The work Shaniska did on me for both hair and make-up wasn’t just a look, it was an intricate, magical art. Amazing woman and company who made my wedding beauty look a dream come true. My hair and makeup couldn't have been more perfect, seemed as if Shaniska knew me for years by how perfect she made my hair a makeup look! I am so happy I chose Callidora for my special day. Shaniska made me feel so calm and comfortable on such a hectic day. My bridal party (which was really large for a destination wedding, 12 ladies) also looked absolutely stunning! And the ladies at Callidora were able to organize and keep everyone on schedule... Having to do a trial run only one day before the biggest day ever was scary for a bride, but it went so well and the wedding day even more perfect! For me planning a destination wedding was the hardest thing I have done so far, but worth it! And choosing Callidora was the best decisions I made. She shared that she was usually booked by the time I had called Being that It was 1 month to my wedding and I was searching online and locally here in the Bahamas. I was super excited when she told me she was available . We discussed and I booked her .
We scheduled the time frame of her arrival prior to my wedding day .
She was on time and made me feel comfortable in her chair .

Laura Sent on 07/12/2018My husband and I decided to have our wedding in his hometown, Nassau, Bahamas. When looking for a hairstylist, Shaniska and her team came highly rated on Wedding Wire. I am so happy to have found her because working with her was a dream! We had a hair and makeup trial several days before the wedding (and she came to my location) which was a great time, and it made getting ready on the big day so much smoother. Not only did my hair and makeup turn out stunning, but she was a great person to talk to and relax me before the ceremony. What was also great was she had things like eyelashes and hair accessories on hand and for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Shaniska to anyone planning to get married in the Caribbean!!

Christina Sent on 05/04/2017Shaniska did my hair and makeup for my wedding April 22, 2017. From the very beginning she was responsive and professional. I was very low key and didn't really know what I wanted, and Shaniksa did an amazing job with my somewhat vague requests of "easy, natural, kind of curly..." I had also never had my makeup done professionally before, and she was very clear and straightforward about what she offered, what the cost breakdown would be.
Shaniska asked for some samples of how I'd like my hair, and we were immediately on the same page about the hairstyle when we met in person. When she showed me the finished product, I was absolutely blown away. My expectations were definitely exceeded!
Shaniska is also very sweet, calm and patient, and as a bride, I really needed and appreciated that kind of presence before the ceremony. I'd definitely recommend her services!Callidora's reply:

Alisa Sent on 02/22/2016Finding a makeup artist in Nassau is HARD, but luckily Shaniska and her team at Callidora were absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. These ladies have experience with fair-skinned clients, and did an amazing job on the hair and makeup for myself and my 4 bridesmaids.
Because I had a destination wedding, I put all my trust in Callidora... luckily Shaniska answered my millions of questions and concerns with the utmost professionalism and promptness. She was also very accommodating, as I ended up changing the location from her studio to them joining us on our cruise ship at the last minute.
Our hair and makeup came out exactly how I had imagined, and these ladies are worth every penny!
