Calla made our wedding so special! Good food is very special to both of our families, so it was important to us that we found a vendor whose food was fun and joyful. After our tasting we knew we'd found the right vendor (the braised chicken is a MUST). In addition to providing an amazing menu for the buffet and passed appetizers, they worked with us to add some special touches that made the wedding feel more unique to us (hot apple cider for our outdoor ceremony in November, apple cider donuts for dessert, a boozy coffee bar after dessert, etc.) All of our guests raved about the food, including those with dietary restrictions, who Calla catered to and provided options that were just as good as the buffet. An added hurdle is that our wedding was at a venue without a kitchen, so Calla brought in their own cooking equipment. They also helped us rent tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, etc. It was such a relief to work with one vendor for so many different checklist items.
We worked with co-owner Kim Livesey as our Day-Of Coordinator, and it was a phenomenal decision. We spend hours on phone calls picking out linens, rearranging table set-ups, and making a plan for the decor. With her team, she set and up and tore down all of our decor, so all we had to do was transport it to and from the venue. We are so grateful for their team! -

I would recommend Calla to anyone. They were prompt and professional throughout the entire process, guiding us through our many questions! Their food was INCREDIBLE; we loved the cocktail hour flatbreads and the butternut squash ravioli the best! Linda and her team made the night stress-free as they seamless kept everything flowing, even with a couple of last minute changes. Many of our guests after complemented Calla on how organized and professional the night was run. I would highly recommend them for any event! -

We were introduced to Calla through our wedding venue, Larz Anderson Museum, and we are so glad we did. We worked with Kim, Linda and Mikayla and they were all super responsive to any and all questions we had. They did a wonderful job at organizing all aspects of the catering and helping navigate timing of the day and helping to navigate a rain plan in the event the weather wasn’t great. The contract was super straight forward and transparent and any changes that came up during the planning process were quickly updated along the way. During the day of, we were so happy with how the event played out. The weather was perfect, the food and drinks were amazing and Mikayla’s day of support during the event was always there and ready to help. Thank you so much for making this a surreal and wonderful memory to look back on for the rest of our lives. -

Calla was magnificent for our wedding. We had to postpone twice due to Covid and Linda and Kim were so supportive. They truly helped make our experience seamless. I felt so supported as a bride and they were so flexible and helpful. The day of was EXCEPTIONAL to say the least. Our guests raved about the food and service. Linda and Kim are clearly born to create life-changing events. We are eternally grateful! -

If you’re considering booking with Calla, do it. We can’t say enough good things! The food was amazing, the chef does all his own grocery shopping and cooks it all in house and on location. Everything was fresh and delicious, our guest were so happy with it. And as if that isn’t reason alone, the whole Calla team is awesome. We did a day of coordination package with them and it was life changing. They are absolutely experts in this space and everything was handled with such grace. It honestly felt like it came together by magic because everyone is just so fantastic. Seriously, book them!! -

Calla Catering was a dream to work with. They were incredibly responsive (I was blown away by how quickly they'd get back to me with thoughtful answers). I'm vegetarian and they worked with me to provide exactly the food I wanted. It was DELICIOUS! Lots of guests complimented the food. Additionally, Linda was so incredibly organized that it felt like we had a wedding planner. Everything went perfectly at the wedding, in large part thanks to Calla! -

Kim and the entire Calla team were instrumental in making our wedding day incredible! They were organized, professional, helpful, and basically indispensable. The food was delicious, and with Kim at the helm coordinating this anxious bride could actually relax and enjoy the day. Everything went smoothly, everything was on time, and as far as I'm concerned, it was perfect. Their communication leading up to the wedding made me confident the big day would go as planned. We are so glad that we chose Calla for our wedding. Linda, Kim, and the entire team were so helpful, responsive, and excited to work with us! Calla was able to help us execute our vision flawlessly (we are two designers- the vision was specific!), and was so helpful with all the logistics, between furniture rentals, vendor coordination, and day of coordination. Not to mention, Francesco’s food is absolutely delicious! Many of our guests told us that their dinners and apps were the best that they had ever had at a wedding. We also appreciated the little touches so much- Calla sent us home with extra desserts at the end of the night, and brought us our own little plate of apps and cocktails during our photos, so we could have a chance to eat them. We truly cannot recommend them enough! -

From start to finish Calla Catering was fantastic to work with. The tasting was delicious and personalized; it also allowed for us to meet the team and get an idea of what we wanted. Kim and Linda were so flexible during the entire planning process and made our day run smoothly. Our guests are still talking about how delicious all of the food was, the passed hors d’oeuvres were a big hit! We would recommend them (and their grilled cheese) to anyone! -

My now husband and I had our wedding postponed due to COVID, and received notice from our original caterer they were going out of business 8 months prior to our new rescheduled wedding date. Talk about a spike in stress levels! We reached out to Calla Catering in hopes they would be available for our rescheduled wedding date and it was smooth sailing ever since. Linda has been the best and most wonderful person to work with, ever so patient in answering our numerous questions and guiding us step by step along the way. Calla Catering brands themselves as genuine and transparent, and it really shows! And we cannot forget to mention their amazing food, everybody was absolutely raving about their delicious slow-braised chicken! We are so happy we chose Calla Catering and know others will too! -

I decided to have a small mini-money May 2nd 2021 due to covid and postponing our wedding 3 times! I hired calla catering last minute for 20 guests and it completely blew us out of the water! From the first tasting in their private studio to my wedding day, the amount of flexibility, attention to detail and the amazing flavor of the food, we are all impressed! The food was absolutely amazing. We had passed appetizers, buffet style dinner and ice cream bar! All my guests were happy and raved about the food. We had a few children who was served chicken tenders and fries and a vegetarian who got her own special dish. The calla team was so attentive to all my guest and made sure everyone had PLENTY to eat! I still think about the steak and onions and how amazing they were lol. They even folded my napkins and placed the menu cards I printed on each table for us. They packaged all the left overs for us which was a huge bonus! If I ever needed catering again, I definitely would choose calla catering. -

The food was wonderful at our wedding thanks to Calla Catering. I loved how the options were sophisticated but yet approachable for our guests. Everyone could find an option that they enjoyed for their main entrée, and the passed hors-d'œuvre were amazing. We would highly recommend them for a wedding or any event. -

From start to finish Calla Catering and Events LLC was top notch! They made planning our wedding day seamless and all of the staff members from Calla Catering that we worked with were outstanding.
Our guests raved about our food and we had no stress as it relates to the set-up and breakdown of our event. All of the behind the scenes went unnoticed and the quality of their work was exceptional.

GOD BLESS Calla Catering! We had the most magical wedding in every single way and it exceeded our expectations and any dream we had of what the day/ weekend would look like. They were the most flexible vendor during COVID and worked with us through every COVID guideline change and postponing our wedding. After our wedding everyone kept asking us who our caterer was because the food was SO fantastic and creative. They made the plates and signs look so pretty that all of our friends instagrammed it! They worked with our guests complicated food allergies and our likes and dislikes and came up with the most delicious, beautiful, and unique plates. Down to the extravagant tasting they held in our wedding theme for our whole family, they didn't miss any tiny little detail throughout the whole experience. I could not recommend them highly enough. -

Working with Calla Catering was an absolute dream come true! My husband and I finally got married on May 1, 2021 after a few COVID-related cancellations. Calla jumped in enthusiastically to help with catering and day-of services and were so kind, patient and accommodating. They were incredibly responsive and answered all our questions leading up to our big day… and we had A LOT. Having had to cancel multiple times our nerves were very high, but Calla constantly reassured us that everything would be okay and that they would do whatever possible to make our day beautiful. When we strayed off our timeline, Calla quickly and effortlessly shifted gears and communicated with us every step of the way. To say they delivered is an understatement! Our day went seamlessly. And the food… OMG! I scraped my plate clean, and Calla even prepared a plate of appetizers for us to enjoy during dinner. Everything was so delicious – our guests are still raving about it! The chef worked directly out of our kitchen and served everything hot (yes, hot!) and creatively displayed. If you’re looking for appetizer recommendations, definitely consider the chicken pot stickers, arancini, avocado toast and homemade potato latkes! Although, you really can’t go wrong with any of the selections from Calla’s extensive menu. And don’t worry, if you have guests with allergies / dietary restrictions, Calla will work with you to ensure their needs are met / foods of concern are removed from the menu.

Calla, and Linda especially, were incredible to work with when planning our recent bridal shower. Linda was incredibly responsive and easy to work with, and was super flexible with defining final headcount as people waited to RSVP due to COVID. They offered a great suggestions for planning the menu and thoughtful touches. Linda even matched the food labels to our theme and printed a special menu to match the favors that the bride could keep. Everyone could not stop raving about the food, especially the French toast bake! Calla Catering truly helped make the shower such a special day! Can't wait to work with them again in the future! -

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Calla Catering. Not only was my food absolutely delicious, the whole process from start to finish went seamlessly. Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is not easy, and I feel like I was changing things every other day but they were more than accomodating and willing to work with me. And on the day of the wedding, their staff was amazing and so professional. They took care of the set up, the buffet service, and everything in between. Definately reccomend them for your catering needs for any event, esp a wedding! -

My (now husband) and I decided to have an outdoor wedding with only 5 weeks to plan. With our parents being elderly we had to keep everything as (covid safe) as possible. Kim Livesey helped me plan the perfect 5 course box lunch, with a personalized cooler for each guest to take home. The food was exceptional! The team at Calla made my wedding day planning so much easier! They answered emails, phone calls promptly, and wrote out a timeline for me to keep things rolling smoothly! Every guest LOVED the food, and the way it was presented! I highly recommend Calla Catering! -

My husband and I had our wedding on October 17, 2020, at Thayer Homestead in Medway, Ma. We can not recommend Calla Catering enough! Our friends and family are still raving about all the food and desserts! We had a buffet with the most delicious seasonal menu that Linda made extremely customizable so that we could stay within our budget. We were served four varieties of hors d’oeuvres, buffalo chicken wontons (MUST HAVE), spicy beef empanadas, seared shrimp, and sweet & sour cauliflower. Everything was so mouthwateringly delicious that I want to throw myself another party just to have these appetizers again! Our dinner menu consisted of roasted pork tenderloin, slow-braised chicken, butternut squash ravioli (ANOTHER AMAZING CHOICE), herb roasted potatoes, roasted root vegetables, and a crisp apple salad. The food in itself was so amazing that I will definitely be hiring Calla Catering again for any other events I need to be catered to.
From the very beginning, Linda and her very talented team at Calla Catering were amazing. Everyone was extremely professional, easy to work with, and super friendly and polite. Being a crazy COVID bride, it was great knowing I could always reach Linda with any questions or concerns. We chose to work with them and their partners for our linens and rentals as well. Calla worked alongside our wonderful day-of-coordinator, Blair Mtchem in setting all of these details up for us. When the big day finally came, the venue looked amazing. Everything from the way they set the guest tables and buffet tables, to the way the food and dessert displays were, looked beautiful.
Calla Catering went above and beyond to accommodate not only my husband and I but all of our family members. Having a wedding during covid was not easy and we compromised on almost everything so we could keep our day. Calla followed every guideline and took every precaution while giving us the most perfect day. They really made us feel so special and safe. If you are looking for a catering company that treats and feeds you like family, look no further than Calla Catering and Events LLC.

Hiring Kim and the team at Cava Catering to be our wedding caterer and coordinator was hands down the best wedding decision we could have made! Kim and her team were so exceptionally talented and helpful during the planning process – they worked around our limited schedules for each meeting, responded to our numerous emails with many questions, and calmed our planning nerves many times! They helped us pick out rentals and truly made our wedding vision come to life. Day of, they made sure everything went smoothly and we felt very confident going into the big day knowing they were handling it all. The food was incredible – our guests are still talking about how fun and fabulous their appetizers were during cocktail hour! They prepared us our own plate of appetizers to eat during dinner too, which was just so thoughtful since we were so busy during cocktail hour greeting everyone. Their unique and comprehensive menu allowed us to truly design a menu that felt like “us” and enjoy our favorite foods as a couple together on our wedding day. We would 100% hire Kim and Cava Catering again! I wish I could give them 10 stars. -

Not only did Cava design and serve up the most delicious menu at our wedding, but they also helped to plan and coordinate all of the details so we were able to fully enjoy the big day. My (now) husband had been to a wedding last summer and thought the food was great, so when we found out it was Cava who catered and helped with coordination and planning services, we decided to work with them for our own upcoming wedding. Kim walked us through everything we needed to be thinking about, choices we needed to make, and took care to guide us along the way with options that would fit our budget. Cava helped to coordinate staffing, rentals, bar orders, set up and breakdown and worked with the venue to make sure everything ran smoothly. Even when they ran into inevitable challenges (some rentals showed up late) the Cava team worked to find impromptu solutions so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and our timeline stayed on track. Kim was our day of coordinator and we couldn’t have done it without her! She was calm, organized, and was super on top of all the moving pieces, and made sure everyone enjoyed a seamless experience. The staff at our wedding went above and beyond to be helpful, nice, and attentive. Our guests are still telling us how much fun they had, and especially how delicious the food was! We had the bonus of getting to eat yummy leftovers for days afterwards, feeding our out of town family members as well! -

WOW, JUST WOW!!!!
My husband and I had a dream backyard wedding, catered and staffed by Cava. It was so stressful to get things in order for our wedding and the easiest part was working with Cava...they held a beautiful private food tasting for us about 6 months before the big day- complete with a gorgeous presentation and a glass of wine :) On the day of our wedding, which was held at my childhood home...the friendly staff set-up quickly, cleanly (if thats a word?), and in such a stress-free manner (which is hard to do when they're workspace was in my parent's garage!!)
THE FOOD
Apps/Small bites were a 10/10 !! the crowd favorite was a the buffalo chicken wontons and the mini grilled cheese squares in a tomato soup shot...The staff were detail-oriented in revisiting people who had favorites in the snacks they were passing out- also, while my husband and I snuck away for a photoshoot during cocktail hour, one of the staff members brought over a beautiful tasting tray of all the appetizers for us to try (because who isn't starving after all that planning and the ceremony?!) It was so thoughtful and so insanely delicious.
DINNER was beautifully displayed- steak/chicken piccata were amazing and my FAVORITE, the butternut squash ravioli YUMMM...I made sure to have my mom set aside an extra plate of the food for my husband and I to enjoy for breakfast the next day (LOL, it was that good) we went for a side of grilled veggies which were perfection..and a few other sides that all wowed our guests.
The waiters were SO attentive, so helpful, and friendly, without distracting from conversation or the flow of the evening.
Quick note- Kim Livesy, our on-site coordinator- was a true MVP of our day and made everything go so seamlessly!
IF YOU WANT AMAZING FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF, AND STRESS-FREE VENDOR...Choose Cava!!

I cannot say enough about Cava catering -- I recommend them for all couples getting married and anyone planning a party! They stood out from the start of the wedding planning process until the end. Kim really understood that we wanted to stick to a budget, and she helped us by offering a variety of choices and making the right recommendations for linens, food, drinks, and planning. To be honest, paying for the day-of-coordination was the best money we spent on our wedding (besides the dress of course!). Kim and Linda made the day stress free and went above and beyond and really understood our vision. Linda even made signs for our desserts and bar that fit with our theme. We were so pleasantly surprised. My guests could also not say enough about the AMAZING food. This was not typical wedding food. I am still eating the leftovers! I want to write more, but I feel like I would just be typing the word AMAZING over and over again! -

Cava Catering provided the food catering services for our July wedding celebration. Kim and the team were spectacular from the start. They were very friendly and accommodating – helping us choose food options, sourcing food locally, and being very mindful of our budget. We requested tabled and passed hors d’oeuvres rather than the traditional full meals and Kim helped us decided on the right amount and flow for the night. The day of party they were completely independent allowing us to focus on our guests and the celebration. We had so many compliments from our party guests on the food. Especially the mezze platter (which was overflowing with spectacular meats and cheeses) and the buffalo cauliflower. Kim checked in occasionally to make sure everything was going well and the only feedback we had for her were all of the compliments we were receiving. Kim and the team took care of everything and helped make our evening that much more special. We would recommend Cava catering without hesitation and we will be using them in the future for all our events. -

Cava was fantastic & instrumental in making my wedding come together. From the very beginning, they were super responsive to our questions and the food at our tasting was delicious! Between booking them and our actual day, Kim was incredibly helpful. She was a resource not just for catering questions, but for general wedding questions too! Having never planned an event on that scale before, I really appreciated her always giving me honest answers and helpful suggestions. We opted to pay the additional fee to have a Cava staff member be our onsite coordinator for our wedding day. Kim was amazing and SO EFFICIENT! She helped the rehearsal run smoothly and on the actual day she was insanely helpful. It was just reassuring to have her there because it knew it would all be taken care of! The food and service on our wedding day were phenomenal and we got lots of compliments! -

Kim was amazing to work with from the walk-through of the venue, to the rehearsal, to the actual wedding day and reception. Kim honestly seemed to anticipate all our questions and needs and was always there to answer our calls and emails whenever we needed her. Cava's affordable prices and delicious menu were what initially drew me and my husband in. We opted for passed and stationary hors dourves for cocktail hour and a buffet meal. Cava was super flexible when it came to creating our ideal menu and we loved the tasting option. Everything day-of came out hot, well-prepared, and our guests were raving about it all! Thank you again, Kim, for helping us have the BEST day ever!!

We were so lucky to find Calla for our wedding. We had a small wedding (around 50 guests) and wanted breakfast for dinner, and the Calla team was all for it! From the very beginning, Linda was responsive and professional - one of the few caterers I spoke to that called when she said she would and returned emails in timely manner. Our tasting was a dream and they were so flexible with our vision, even getting a waffle maker so we could have waffles! As the day got closer, Linda was there to answer my last-minute bridal questions and provide us with everything we needed. Our wedding was so perfect and I know a lot of that is due to the hard work of Linda, the Calla catering staff, and the work of their bar division, Cocktails. We also have been getting so many compliments on the food, from the main dishes down to the salad dressing! 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much! -
