Let me start by saying this…my daughter’s wedding at CaliPaso was MAGICAL!
You and your guests will be transported to Italy without all the costs and lengthy plane flights. From the building architecture to the surrounding vineyards, CaliPaso truly feels like a European destination wedding. If you didn’t know any better, our wedding photos look like they were taken in the Tuscan region of Italy.
The grounds were beyond gorgeous. The area for the ceremony was an architecturally stunning building with a grand staircase & fountain. It couldn’t have been more spectacular. The adjacent reception area also felt like a courtyard in Italy with string lights that enhanced the ambiance throughout the evening.
We rented the entire venue so family was able to stay on site for the weekend which made the occasion that much more special for those closest to us. The rooms were fabulous & spacious with breathtaking views of a vineyard from the balconies. But the best part was the bridal suite, it was like a beautiful home found only in magazines which allowed for gatherings of friends and family throughout the weekend.
I need to comment on the food, it was absolutely amazing! It was the thing most people commented on besides the venue. Portion sizes were great and it was restaurant quality, which is hard to accomplish with a large guest count. How can you beat that?!

Lastly, Ruth was our contact person from start to finish. She was so helpful, patient, caring, and never made you feel like you were asking too many questions. Ruth made us feel so special!
CaliPaso will always have a special place in our hearts! You can’t go wrong booking your wedding at this venue…it will be a highlight for you and your guests for years - it is that unique.

We got married at CaliPaso in May 2022 and it was the most magical and beautiful day of our lives!! The venue is drop dead gorgeous and also extremely intimate. The lights strung above and hung on olive trees provide a beautiful ambiance for the reception and there are tons of beautiful areas for photos and different parts of the day. We also loved staying at the venue with our families for the weekend. We were able to have a small after party on site because of this which made the night even more fun.

On top of that, the people and food are AMAZING. Ruth was such a joy to work with and the people working at CaliPaso made our wedding weekend seamless and fun. We got numerous compliments on both the venue and food.

If you're contemplating getting married here, do it!

We booked the entire venue for the weekend. I recommend any wedding held there to use this option. The Villa's are so beautiful and the Winemaker Suite is the best to hold a bachelorette party the night before and then convert to the bride and groom suite the night of! We had the best staff, always willing to help! It made getting ready so much easier for me and my family! The weather held out (with rain in the forecast) and the outdoor venue was perfect! Chris and his team did an excellent job with the menu and serving! I would only recommend one thing - I think that the catering staff should offer the family that is staying at the villa's a lunch if the wedding is held in the evening.

We cannot say enough about the staff and facilities at Calipaso! They helped to make the wedding weekend perfect. The venue was beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff amazing! Thank you to Jamie, Chris, Ryan, Ruth and all of their staff!

This review is long overdue... We stumbled on to this place in January 2017 when we were searching for venues in Paso Robles. I can honestly tell you that the pictures online do not do Calipaso justice. When we arrived for our appointment we spent a couple of minutes exploring and even in the midst of winter when the trees and branches are bare, Calipaso Winery was simply beautiful. It was everything that we were looking for and didn't even know it.

Booking the venue was easy with Jaime. She was informative and kept us on our deadlines. She provided us with many contacts and vendors. Calipaso Winery had everything; gorgeous rooms that are just steps away from the site, on-site catering, delicious wine; tables and chairs; beautiful scenery & a staff that is accommodating.

We ended up booking the ENTIRE venue and organized a movie night with our close family and friends the night before our wedding. Tenants that weekend enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast. We had separate rooms for the groom and bridal party to get ready. The staff was extremely helpful during set up.

Chef Chris and his team did an amazing job with the food, it was exactly as I remembered it during our tasting. Some feedback was the food didn't come out as fast but honestly I think my family was just super hungry checking out the food on the next table. We highly recommend a charcuterie display if you like meats cause it was amazing. The team saved the leftovers for the wedding stragglers and delivered it to our room after the festivities.

Overall the experience was memorable. I am so grateful for the entire Calipaso team for making our wedding day special. We have many fond moments that we'll remember even on our 40th anniversary. Calipaso is breathtaking. It was the perfect getaway for a calm and yet exciting event. Thank you so much!

As a wedding planner I am always stoked when my clients book at CaliPaso Winery! With their beautiful and immaculately upkept venue, professional staff with can do attitudes, pre-planning ease with Event manager Ruth, flawless execution day of and, excellent wine and absolutely delicious food, it's always a win for my clients and the entire vendor team!

Ruth and Cassandra made the entire experience seamless. I can confidently say i have never attended a wedding where you get views AND amazing food. We couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous and beautiful day. We rented the entire villa and grounds for the wedding weekend and had all close family stay in each room. This truly made it feel so special as we were able to have the entire venue to ourselves. Each room is gorgeous with vineyard views and stunning fireplaces. Every single person who stayed on site even got homemade breakfast each morning in the bistro. It was absolutely amazing. I don’t think there’s any venue that offers this sort of bed and breakfast experience on such luxurious grounds. If you’re thinking about getting married here RUN don’t walk. Everyone is still talking about how gorgeous our wedding was and it’s all thanks to this wonderful venue!!! Special thank you to Cassandra for being so skillful at her craft. The food was absolutely to die for!!!! Thank you Ruth for keeping everyone relaxed and in the loop. You both are absolutely amazing! Take me back to this perfect day!

I got married at Calipaso Winery in June and am so thrilled with the team there! Margaret (the executive chef) and Jaime (Events manager) are so easy to work with. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and in my opinion of the most picturesque in Paso Robles. I had looked at several other winery venues, but found Calipaso to be the overall best in terms of beauty, location, and value. You do have to use their catering, which initially worried me. However, the food was fantastic and I had nothing to worry about! I'm very picky about wedding food and it was important to me that my guests find the food to be exceptional. Everyone raved about the food and wines! I would also recommend staying at the winemakers suite on site the night of the wedding. My bridesmaids and I got ready in one side of the suite which made for beautiful pictures. Definitely go out and visit the villa if you are looking for a venue! It's absolutely stunning and in my opinion a bit off the radar right now since it is fairly new.

Venue was beautiful, well kept, and it was sooooo nice not having to worry about 10 different vendors to get tables, chairs, glassware, etc to come in and complete the package. Everything was pretty much included at the venue! So that was amazingly helpful and well worth it to not have to stress. Jaime was the site manager and she was very responsive, getting back to me almost immediately and was very helpful in figuring out some of the details. Margaret, the chef, was also very involved in helping with the planning process, being more of a main contact. Her responses were a bit more scattered and it was difficult to get some of the details figured out in a relatively timely manner, but she definitely delivered and the food was fantastic. Phenomenal food and her wait staff was great as well. We were so pleased to have been married at CaliPaso, it was a beautiful day and overall our experience was very satisfactory and would highly recommend using this venue for an event. We happened to use the Winemakers Residence for our night before (had a little girl's night which was a blast, there's a great hot tub for everyone to relax and get ready the next day) and used it also for our wedding night. The space is gorgeous for getting ready and the pictures are so fun. The light was perfect for pictures and definitely enough space for everyone to get ready. We definitely enjoyed ourselves for the whole weekend. The rehearsal dinner was a great night leading up to the big day. Some tasty food again and ate outdoors since it was so warm. Loved making some beautiful memories there.
