  We had our wedding reception here and it was awesome!!! Patti and Lynn were both so helpful the whole way and Patti made us feel like family the whole way! They were awesome and very flexible!

  Calhouns was a good spot for our rehersal dinner. The meal was delicious and the staff were great. A private room would have been nice but it was still wonderful.

  They ruined my reception! During my planning everything seemed perfect, it all just went exactly right! Then, about two weeks before our wedding, we realized that our venue, which was under construction, wasn't going to be ready by our wedding date. My wedding cost then went about 6,000 over budget. At that point, everything that could go wrong, did! I spoke with Patty with Calhouns in Gatlinburg. She just kept saying, "don't worry about anything, we will change to your new venue and do buffet style instead of plated, everything will be fine!" She LIED!! NOTHING was fine with what she and her staff did!! The ceremony began about 45 mins late because we had to transport guests to the new venue at the top of a mountain. She had herself, another female server, and a male bartender. The service was TERRIBLE! They began clearing my guests plates if they got up to use the restroom or get a drink. My guests were unable to go back to the buffet because they had no plate!! Patty kept coming to me with every little problem when she met my wedding coordinator and could have easily brought all questions to her. They left the reception at 10:00, they took every glass, every plate, all of the food that I paid for, and were even trying to take the bar setups, that I paid for! They were rude to my guests and to me! When I asked her to stay an hour longer, offered to compensate her immediately, she smiled in my face and said, "no problem, don't worry about it, we will stay and I will email you an invoice!" I handed out over $1500 in gratuities between 4 vendors! I planned on giving them $200 each above the additional cost for staying! They just left!! I had to send a family member back to our cabin to get cups so we would at least have something to drink for the last hour of my reception! I let every issue with my wedding roll off but what they did was disgusting and unprofessional. Go somewhere else for your catering needs! Also, don't believe anything that Patty says!
