Cakes ROCK!!! is amazing!
Cakes ROCK!!! lives up to its name. It is an amazing bakery and my wife and I could not be happier with the results of our beautiful wedding and groom's cakes. Christy and her crew absolutely exceeded our expectations for our cakes, she was even able to make a batch of gluten free nut free cupcakes for our guests. They worked with us every step of the way and helped us design our own personalized flavors and cake combinations as well as the design on our cakes, which we loved more than words can say. The crew did an amazing job and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a great bakery for a special occasion. The cakes tasted divine and looked incredible, we will definitely continue to hire this bakery for events going forward. We cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and hard work, looking forward to tasting many more creations from Cakes ROCK!!! -

My cakes came out perfect! Exactly what I wanted. The Groom's cake was German chocolate with ganache chocolate frosting and was truly amazing!! The Bride's cake was almond amoretto with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling. It was very good as well. Very happy with my wedding cakes! -

We had 2 cakes - a 3-tiered naked cake and a Baylor McLane Stadium cake (since that’s where we got engaged!). Christy and her team knocked both of our cakes out of the park. They were delicious and looked incredible. We had so many compliments, especially on the football stadium cake, and there was almost no cake leftover. Definitely worth it! -

The Best. Hands down
The name says it all, your cake will certainly ROCK! Both of our cakes were the rock star of our wedding and tasted great! Mine was everything I wanted and more, with a cascading blue ombre design to look like the lake background of our wedding venue, and his Jet's Pizza cake in a box nearly stole the show! He's from Detroit, where Jet's originated, so he's the expert on what this type of pizza should look like, and he gave it double thumbs up and nearly cried when he saw it. I walked up thinking they just put a real pizza box at the bottom and not a cake-box style like we talked about, and I was about to get mad at my wedding planner for not checking this properly, until I got closer and realized it IS cake!! The box looked THAT real!! Christy and her team are at a different level of artistry, professionalism, and flavor profile than any other out there. I can contest to this as a former bakery business owner in a competing and larger city, my expectations are extremely high when it comes to everything that encompasses desserts, especially cakes....and WOW WOW WOW this place blew me away! It is one thing to make a beautiful cake, it's another thing to make it taste good, on top of my cake being vegan, which nobody knew by the way. Cakes ROCK has so many vegan flavors, all that are wonderful. We got to try several in our tasting, vegan and regular flavors, and we knew immediately that this was the place for us. And we visited 4 different Austin bakeries, some highly ranked on this page, but nobody compares to Cakes ROCK! Christy and her team will go the extra mile in helping your vision turn to reality. They will reply promptly to emails and texts and accommodate you and provide stellar custom service from start to finish. There's not enough room here for me to elaborate more! If we lived in Austin area, they would be making our birthday cakes and party treats EVERY time! Love y'all and many thanks again!! -

Christy and her team did such an amazing job! Our cake came out exactly how we envisioned it, not to mention and how incredibly delicious it was! We saved our top tier, and I just can’t hardly wait to eat it on our 1 year! And did I mention, I am not a big fan of cake but this cake was oh so delicious and just stunning. It was absolutely perfect! I would definitely order here again for any occasion. -

Yum and beautiful!
Incredible experience working with Cakes ROCK! We did a to-go tasting kit and narrowed down our flavors and sent them pictures of the cakes we had in mind. Both Christy and JT were professional and honest and they created not only a tasty bride and groom's cake but they were both so beautiful and exceeded our expectations! They took my inspiration pictures and brought them to life. I'm so grateful for their help and their hard work. The cakes were SO good and were so beautiful as well. I highly recommend them to any bride and groom looking for a delicious and beautiful bride and/or groom's cake! -

The vegan wedding cake of our dreams!
We absolutely loved the wedding cake & groom's cake that Cakes ROCK created for us! They were as beautiful on the outside as they were delicious on the inside! We had requested an all-vegan cake and Christy and her team were kind enough to take the extra time to make sure we got the flavor profile we were looking for. They experimented and came up with a new recipe for vegan swiss meringue style buttercream for us that was absolutely amazing- so light and the perfect sweetness! And it paired so well with the cake and fruit compotes.
We appreciate the hard work and kindness that they put into creating our dream wedding cakes and would highly recommend their services! :) -

We are in Houston and needed a cake for our daughter’s wedding in Dripping Springs. We had some photos of what she wanted and we sent them over. The cake was exactly as she dreamed. Each of the three tiers was excellent and it is hard to say what flavor was better. They were moist, not overly sweet and the flavors were balanced perfectly in each layer. We chose tiers of hummingbird, almond and cinnamon churro. The delivery was as promised, the floral was added along with the topper and it looked magnificent. We were really pleased with the entire process and they were so easy to work with. We can’t say enough good things and highly recommend Cakes ROCK!!! -

We did a simple black 1-tier cake with hummingbird cake and browned butter filling. Working with this company was a breeze. I was able to take my tasting home from Austin (where I work) back home to Houston so my fiancé and I could both try the flavors. This was the perfect set up during the pandemic when normal tastings may not be as safe. The flavors we chose were incredible and the black cake was elegant. I was cautious when choosing a cake vendor because I worried about the black staining teeth, but through consultation I was informed black fondant would not stain, and they were right. Highly recommend! -

I couldn't stop eating cupcakes and cake from Cakes Rock, but I was lucky enough to see three of their cakes up close between bites. And wow, I was totally blown away by their capabilities and details. As a wedding pro for eight years I am not easily impressed, I couldn't recommend Cakes Rock any more highly! -

Christy is super creative; she makes the most amazing cakes! She loves what she does so much and you can see it in her work. She made the most incredible tree inspired by a "World of Warcraft" wedding we did together. I highly recommend her for any couple looking for something out of the ordinary. She rocks!! -

Beautiful and Delicious
Cakes Rock really does rock. It was a total pleasure to work with them! The entire process was remarkable. My daughter could not be there for the cake tasting, so I went in her place. There were plenty of flavors to taste. They use only fresh ingredients (nothing from a mix) and the butter cream icing is divine. And I don’t normally like butter cream. They took the photos and paint chips that we brought in and delivered a beautiful cake. The sugar flowers were so intricate, many people did not realize that they were not real. Delivery was right on time and went smoothly. Since it was a small wedding without a planner, we were given instructions about cutting the cake and boxes for the top layer and extra cake. I wish I had more reasons to order cake. -

Cakes Rock!!! acquired the vendor we hired to bake our wedding cake, so that did feel a little nerve wracking at first. BUT!!!! They exceeded our every expectation. Our lemon bride's cake was insanely good and our chocolate groom's cake are the things that DREAMS ARE MADE OF! Also, something that amazed me, this cake freezes beautifully!!! We had a good deal of left overs, and I just pulled a section that had been in the freezer for just shy of 2 months, the sponge was so soft, you'd swear it was fresh. Cannot recommend enough! We got so many compliments on our cakes! THANK YOU CAKES ROCK!!! -

I'm still dreaming about my cake, it tasted THAT good.
We had 3 different flavors:
Wedding cake - alternating tiers of strawberry cake with strawberry jelly filling and almond white cake with fresh strawberry filling
Groom's cake - marble cake with another kind of strawberry filling.
Lot's of strawberry choices, but it all tasted so good. When I contracted this vendor is was Cakes by Lori. At some point before my wedding she sold her business to Cakes Rock. So I will not comment on the tasting experience as that was with previous owner.
I will say that I wish the domino of the groom's cake had been a bit more realistic looking. The side of the domino with 6 dots is not set up up with 3 columns and two rows, but with two columns, and 3 rows, and now that I'm looking at the pictures a bit more it's pretty disappointing that they wouldn't take this detail into account.

Christy was so great to work with. She makes the most delicious cakes it was so hard to choose so we had 3 different flavors. She is also an artist and can make whatever your dream cake may be come true! I was more basic in what I wanted in a cake and a little non traditional in the set up and it came out beautiful! I highly recommend Cakes Rock for you wedding! -

Beautiful and Delicious!
We originally hired Classic Cakes by Lori. We later found out the owner decided to retire, so Cakes Rock! took over. They allowed us to keep our original cake order of Lemon with Fresh Raspberries. Hands down, the BEST cake we have ever had!!! I would give it 11 stars if I could! I honestly don't know if Cakes Rock will keep this particular cake on their menu, but if they do, get this!!!! It was fantastic and we received so many compliments on it. It was incredibly MOIST and delicious!! We added a top tier a few weeks prior to our wedding date, with no problems. The cake arrived correct and we have no complaints. -

We actually first contracted with Classic Cakes by Lori and through a change in ownership, ended up work with Cakes ROCK!!! At first, we were a bit worried about the transition but Christy and her team were so helpful and reassured us it would be a painless transition and it was! The cake was magnificent and very delicious! We were loved our little to-go box and it was decorated just the way I wanted it. Christy and her team did a wonderful job!! -

The cakes were beyond what we ever thought could be possible! The Cakes Rock!!! team was extremely accommodating when we asked if we could add four dozen extra cupcakes to our wedding order. We gave them a lot of creative freedom with the groom's cake (my new husband basically just said "I like the desert") and they created a beautiful cactus cake with tumbleweeds and all, along with plenty of matching succulent cupcakes!
Apart from being visually beautiful, the taste of the cakes were out of this world amazing! The Southern Italian Cream for the main wedding cake was so delicious, and the Caramel Apple groom's cake was to die for. My father had demanded chocolate cupcakes since we went a little non-traditional with the groom's cake, but when he tried the groom's cake he immediately changed his mind and had a new favorite! (The chocolate cupcakes were phenomenal though!) The desserts were absolutely loved by us and all of our guests! -

We had such a great experience with Cakes Rock in Austin. The owner met with us for our tasting and we so sweet. The prices were very affordable. The cake was exactly how we’d wished it would be and most importantly, it was delicious! -

If you are looking for a traditional or a modern/original design, you cannot go wrong with Cakes ROCK. Christy and her team are wonderful! -

My husband and I really shouldn't be eating desserts anyway (lactose intolerance is no fun), and I have a history of preferring vanilla over chocolate. But then I came across Cakes Rock!!! at a wedding venue open house. Her vegan chocolate seriously changed my life, and she was also totally happy with doing a gluten free cake layer and regular, gluten and dairy-full cake layers.
The final products were complete hits. She pulled off Jason's NES cake perfectly, and the cakes were so tasty, people went back for seconds and thirds in order to try out the different flavors. We could not have done better with our cake choices! -

We were so happy with our wedding cupcakes from Cakes ROCK! The churro cake with espresso frosting was to die for, and the chocolate cake with brown butter frosting was delightful. Nicole Sent on 08/17/2018My husband and I chose Cakes ROCK for our wedding cake and our groom's cake. Overall, we're happy with our experience. We live out of state, so everything was done over email/text/phone. I scheduled the tasting when I was in town, and that was a lot of fun. My fiance was coming in a few days later and wouldn't be able to make the tasting, so Christy even let us take all of the leftover samples home so he could try them when he got in. After deciding to go with Cakes ROCK, we spoke with several of Christy's assistants to get the process going. I think it was a transitional time for Christy and her crew, so at times communication was off (the first assistant ended up leaving the company in the middle of the process due to personal reasons, and there were a few times we had to follow up with everyone to check on things), but overall, it was fine. Just before the big day, Christy and Shanna were great and communicated well with us. They delivered the cakes on time and it was great. We had an abstract concept for the wedding cake - our two colors airbrushed and met in the middle, with lace around the middle tier, and then quotes from nerdy movies all around it. Overall, it was perfect. A few of the quotes were off, and I didn't love some of the font choices, but Christy did explain that she had to go with that style of lettering (rather than hand-painting like we'd hoped) because of the airbrushing - it would have bled. Which is understandable. The groom's cake was UNC themed (husband is a Tar Heel fan), and it was perfect. The cake flavors were AMAZING. We went with 3 - maple bacon pancake, nutella with chocolate chip cookie dough, and pecan praline. Overall, we're very happy with how the cake turned out - it really was beautiful, and tasted awesome. Don't be afraid to stay on top of communicating with them, because they may take a bit to respond, but they will, and they'll always apologize for the delay. But again, overall, loved it.
