We ordered our wedding cake from Cakes by Stephanie and worked directly with Tommy, and I truly could not be happier with the entire experience. The cake was a very important part of the wedding for me (I love cake!), so I was really hoping for something delicious and memorable—and they absolutely delivered.
We scheduled a wedding cake tasting, and Tommy was wonderful to work with. He explained everything clearly, was incredibly helpful, and made the whole process fun. They had a complimentary tasting prepared for us with six cake flavors and fillings, and every single sample was amazing. They have so many combinations to choose from, and they even offered to let us come back later to try additional flavors if we wanted. That level of kindness, communication, and flexibility meant a lot.
On the wedding day, their team coordinated with my florist for adding fresh flowers to the cake, and it turned out incredible—exactly what I imagined. We also rented a cake stand from them for a very reasonable price, which made things even easier. Their policies were straightforward, the staff was friendly, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish.
Since the wedding, multiple guests have told me (even months later!) how delicious our cake was. We chose chocolate with hoho cream and white cake with fresh strawberry filling, and both were a huge hit. We also get a fresh cake for our one-year anniversary, which I’m already looking forward to!
I highly, highly recommend Cakes by Stephanie. Thank you so much to Tommy and the entire team for making our wedding cake unforgettable!

Cakes by Stephanie absolutely blew away all of our expectations for our wedding -- from cake and pastries, to set-up and even to basic customer service.
The pastry table was an immediate hit, all of our guests were commenting on the delicious variety that was available!
The gluten-friendly, dairy-friendly brownies were also a hit, and we were luckily able to take a handful home to treat ourselves to a "breakfast of champions" the next morning.
But most importantly, our cake was GORGEOUS, and the designers at Cakes by Stephanie took our suggestions for cake vibes and RAN with them, and we are so thrilled that they did. We are both particular about flavors and textures in our cakes, and we were thoroughly impressed by their carrot cake and their pistachio cake with raspberry mousse.

Special occasions dessert selection
We hired Cakes by Stephanie to cater our deserts for our summer wedding and from the minute we walked in , sat down with Tom and looked over all the varieties of desserts we were very impressed, but when we sat down to do the tastings we were sold on this establishment, the prices and packages they offered was the best and the I recieved so many compliments on my very large dessert selection and setup , the whole crew was exceptionally helpful and amazing from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for any special occasion

Cakes by Stephanie did a phenomenal job with our wedding cake! It looked beautiful and was exactly as we had envisioned, it tasted amazing and all of our guests loved it! From our initial tasting with them, we were drawn in by their family-orientated business and the quality and flavor of their cakes. We had the Oreo Cake w/ Oreo Filling, the Chocolate Cake w/ Chocolate Filling, and the White Cake with Raspberry Filling and we loved them all. They were reasonably priced and we love that they provide a complimentary anniversary cake too.

So light and delicious
Cakes by Stephanie are so delicious, light and amazing. Had a slice of all four flavors at our Christmas party this past weekend. Red velvet, devils food, vanilla and what looked like cookies and cream. The frosting was so light and fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness. I might just order one for myself.

Cakes by Stephanie came rercommended to me by my Matron of Honor who used them for her wedding. It was a far drive for me so I was on the fence but I got too busy to keep looking and the cake was good so we hired them. The cake was perfect. I had no idea what I really even wanted but I gave them some inspiration pictures and topper/elements I wanted included and let go and let God! Day of I was nearly in tears because it was perfect! Best cake ever
Let me just start by saying I am not usually a cake person so I brought my soon-to-be husband in with me to do the taste test. I ended up LOVING almost all the flavors during the tasting. It made it so hard to pick certain flavors. We ended up going with red velvet, cherry chip, and the cookies and cream flavors. Sydnei was our “cake guide” and walked us through the tasting and the process of ordering our cake. She is so sweet and helpful! She gave us so many design options to make sure our cake design matched our wedding design. All our guests loved our cake and a lot of them wanted a second piece! We loved our wedding cake so much that we drove from Livonia, Mi to Monroe, Mi to pick up a few more slices to eat at home! I can’t wait until the next special occasion to buy another cake/cupcake. I’m not usually a cake person but I am for the cakes Stephanie makes!

Beautiful and delicious
For our wedding we decided to have a small cutting cake and some cupcakes with it. The colors were so fun and vibrant, and the cakes were delicious! They delivered to our venue as well which was so nice to not have to worry about transporting it ourselves. Very affordable especially for all that you get!

Easy to work with and delicious!
I went to cakes by Stephanie because I had heard about them through word of mouth. We did our cake tasting and I don't remember the man we met with, but he was organized and got us many flavors to taste and we were actually able to do 7 DIFFERENT CAKE FLAVORS for our wedding cake! We had a three tier wedding cake and four cheese cakes, all different flavors. They were highly received by our guests and our wedding cake was gorgeous!

I booked Cakes by Stephanie through word of mouth. I’ve heard very highly of them. They were able to design me the perfect wedding cake, grooms cake, and an amazing assortment of pastries. The flavors of cake choices were perfect. When we couldn’t decided on flavors from the complementary box during our tasting, they were able to make any combination flavors we wanted. The marble and cannoli cream, Oreo and Oreo were all my guests were talking about. Everything turned out perfect. I highly recommend them!

Their desserts are amazing. We got our wedding cake from Cakes by Stephanie as well as cookies for our favors, and we could not have been happier. The staff was friendly and helpful (since we'd never done this before), and asked us the right questions to help us figure out what exactly we wanted. In the end, we went with a three-tiered cake with different flavors for each tier, and it was made and decorated to perfection. They were also on time in their delivery to the venue. I would definitely recommend Cakes by Stephanie to anyone looking for a professionally made cake. We're looking forward to our one-year anniversary when they'll bake us a fresh top tier!

From start to finish Cakes By Stephanie was awesome to work with! It took (1) 30 minute meeting for them to see our vision for our wedding cake. Cakes by Stephanie was AMAZING, and the perfect choice for our wedding! We decided to have a small 6' cutting cake and table of cupcakes, cake pops, and other various pastries. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the dessert table was a huge hit with our guests. We got so many compliments about the desserts, and it was one of the highlights of our wedding! Having having an assortment of desserts was very important to us, and they went above and beyond to give us the best dessert table we could have asked for. I also loved their personal touches, like adding gold flakes and matching the cake pop sticks to our wedding colors. They also set-up the table exactly like the picture that I had given them. Staff was excellent, baked goods were excellent! We had 2 meetings with the staff at Cakes by Stephanie. One to brainstorm ideas and a second to confirm before our wedding. We ended up ordering a 3 tier cake and cookies for our guests as a parting gift. We made quite a few changes between our first and second meeting and the staff was accommodating and understanding without issue. Will absolutely be using this bakery in the future for personal and large scale events. Definitely recommend!

We had a 3 tier wedding cake with each tier a different flavor and received so many compliments from the design to the taste. The guest were asking for extra pieces of the cake so they could try all three flavors.

Cakes by Stephanie did an excellent job designing and creating the ideal dessert table at our wedding. This family owned business went above and beyond to make sure everything was not only beautiful, but tasted amazing too. The owner, Stephanie, sat with us and planned every last detail, created a payment plan that worked for us and made us feel so comfortable from the start. Stephanie's team set up, brought extra desserts, and spoiled our guests rotten. What else could you ask for in a bakery!?! We will be going back time and time again- especially for the cherry cake.

We had a small winter wonderland wedding of only 46 people but we still got the most beautiful winter themed cake and array of desserts from Cakes by Stephanie!
We paid to have them deliver to downtown Detroit and when we arrived, everything looked PERFECT. She nailed the cake – looked exactly how I envisioned, and all the desserts were scrumptious! Beautiful too!
She gave us LOTS of samples to try before the wedding and the flavors – OMG – delicious. We ended up doing the white cake with raspberry filling for our bottom layer, red velvet for the middle and oreo for the top tier for the cake. We did confetti flavored cake pops, cherry chip mini cupcakes, macaroons, Russian cookies, cutout Christmas cookies (GORGEOUS).

Cakes by Stephanie made our wedding cake. Only the top layer was real, and the bottom two layers were fake. Which is what I asked for. The cake was absolutely beautiful. We got so many compliments on the cake!

Cakes by Stephanie is a wonderful bakery. They made us a stunning 4 tier wedding cake, each tier a different amazing flavor. They allowed us to do 2 different tastings to decide on which cake flavors we wanted and provided us with cupcakes for the custom flavor combinations we asked for. The staff was very helpful and easy to work with. They even double checked the flower placement on the cake with me on the day of! Cakes by Stephanie made getting a cake for our wedding a wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone in need of a cake for any event!

We loved our wedding cake made by Cakes By Stephanie! They were super easy to work with, and very accommodating. Every flavor we tried was delicious, and we were able to offer our guests five flavors because we had sheet cakes in the back in addition to the decorative three tired cake on display. The cake was moist and flavorful, and our guests enjoyed being able to pick their favorite flavors and we received many compliments! The cake was decorated beautifully. We had provided Cakes By Stephanie a picture of what we were looking for and they went above and beyond. We are already looking forward to the complimentary one year anniversary cake they will provide! We definitely recommend Cakes by Stephanie to any couple who is looking for a beautiful and delicious cake!

I got married on NYE 2016 and the cake was beautiful AND delicious! We had a cake tasting at another place and it was HORRIBLE. We made the drive out to Monroe since we had heard great things about Cakes by Stephanie and WOW they did not disappoint. They were absolutely wonderful to work with! We told them ahead of time we wanted half of our cake to be funfetti so they made sure that was available during our tasting. We went with that and half Oreo and our wedding guests raved about the cake. They really do an amazing job and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would!

Absolutely LOVE Cakes by Stephanie. From the moment we went in for our tasting and booked them for our wedding to finally eating the cake at our wedding-every interaction has been positive. They give you generous sized portions at your wedding cake tasting and they're all so delicious it's hard to choose. We used them for my bridal shower cupcakes also, and they gave me an additional FREE cupcake tasting of like 6 full sized cupcakes. They're always friendly and helpful via phone and email. My work friends even used them for my work bridal shower because of how highly I talked about them. Their prices seem reasonable. They do make you pay a deposit for the cake board and maybe some other items, which I told them to mark so the venue knew what to save. Not sure who dropped the ball, but we have nothing to return and we are out $100. Bummer. Highly recommend though!

Very easy to schedule a tasting. Many different flavors and fillings presented at out tasting. They do an great job of pairing flavors with cakes an fillings. Very reasonably priced! I even have a Groom's cake being made for my FH. Just to be sure we ordered cupcakes (in our cake flavors) for our shower. They were DELICIOUS!! We received so many compliments about how beautiful they looked and yummy they tasted. I am excited about our cake for our wedding. And I cannot recommend Cakes by Stephanie enough. Please.....check then out!!

The cakes were Delicious!! So many compliments on moist the cakes were and how the frosting tasted. Stephanie's is supposed to make us a 1 year anniversary cake so we didn't need to freeze our top layer and eat year long frozen cake - really excited about that. Again...I cannot recommend Stephanie's enough!

We loved the fact that after doing our initial taste testing, if we wanted to try more flavors, we just had to call a week in advance and they would have any flavors we wanted to pick up and sample. If your a German chocolate fan you must try this! The tasting was great, and they will do exactly whatever you want to your cake! They're also a open bakery, so even if you don't get a cake from here they also do cupcakes and cookies! The best part is, they actually make you a fresh one year anniversary cake too at no additional charge! Thank You!

We had our wedding cake made by Cakes by Stephanie. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave a lot of excellent suggestions which was awesome because we didn't really know what we wanted. On our wedding day, the cake was beautiful, moist, and delicious. It was delivered several hours before the ceremony/reception (we had both in the same place), so there was no worrying from this bride. :-) Our guests still talk about how tasty our cake was. I would highly recommended them!

We didn't work directly with Cakes by Stephanie but our reception hall did. The cake was amazing. We had red velvet with cream cheese frosting and vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. Almost the entire cake was eaten. It was delicious. It did not get dry. Another great part is that they give you a fresh one year anniversary cake :)

Our wedding reception venue included a cake from Cakes by Stephanie as part of their packages, so it seemed silly not to use them as our cake vendor. We went down to their shop to do a cake tasting, and Stephanie’s husband was ready for us with samples of their best sellers. I am a huge cake fan, but my husband is not, and he said it was the best cake he’d ever had. They helped us customize the exact cake we wanted from the inside out. While we were at the shop we saw they also did sugar cookie wedding favors. They let us sample a few of the frosted sugar cookies from their bakery. Stephanie’s husband said that his wife made the best sugar cookies in town, and I couldn’t agree more. We ordered our favors later that week, and on the day of the wedding they brought all of our favors, individually wrapped and tied with our choice of ribbon, and placed them on each plate. We didn’t have to do any work! Our cake was absolutely perfect, and our guests raved about it. They even sent an extra small cake for the cake cutting. One of our favorite things about this company is that they give you a brand new top-tier of your cake for your one-year anniversary so that you don’t have to freeze yours and eat year-old cake! We are very much looking forward to eating ours in a few months!

Cakes by Stephanie did a fantastic job! Not only was the cake for our wedding stunning, it was delicious. They were very helpful in picking out a design and were easy to communicate with. The prices were very reasonable as well. I had so many guests tell me that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had! The cake was light and moist and the fillings were fluffy and not overwhelmingly sweet like some others we had sampled. My husband, who doesn't usually like sweets, even asked for a second sample box to go. They delivered on time and were extremely professional. You can tell it is a family business and that they are great at what they do!

We went to our cake tasting here , and they were amazing. Very helpful in choosing our design and flavors. We are looking forward to having their cake at our wedding!

My husband and I's experience with Cakes By Stephanie was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Not only did our guest's rant and rave about the amazing taste of our wedding cake but the quality of design was exactly what we imagined! Working with Cakes By Stephanie was truly the icing on the cake of our wedding planning experience! The staff was very professional and catered to our wants and needs in terms of taste as well as design! I would recommend their services to everyone!

I got my cake through here and it was wonderful. We did a cupcake tower and an anniversary cake came on top of it. The anniversary cake is ginormous and the cupcakes were wonderful. We got to choose from four different cake flavors and each with their own filling. So many options and the cake was great.

Not only is the cake literally the most delicious, fresh and moist cake that both my fiance and I have had the staff is just as wonderful! Stephanie's husband did our cake testing and first appointment. He was so kind, down to earth and helpful. Most importantly he understood what we were looking for, helped walk us through the process and all with no crazy sales pitch and/or trying to get us to select cakes outside of a budget we were comfortable with.
The icing on the cake for us with choosing Cakes by Stephanie was that they mentioned that we would get a complimentary Anniversary cake for our 1 year versus the traditional freezing the top layer and choking down stale cake on our anniversary. Additionally, we live in the metro-Detroit area, about an hour north of their bakery so with one day notice (not even 24 hours) I was able to call and get specific cupcake samples of different flavors for us to taste FOR FREE when we were driving by in the area!
We cannot wait to taste our wedding cake come our special day! We know we will not be disappointed!!

We met with Cakes by Stephanie almost a year before our wedding and booked them on the spot. I loved how they were willing to create what I had in mind and they were always easy to get in contact with. I ended up changing my mind about the design about a month before our wedding and made an appointment with Cakes by Stephanie to talk to them about it and come up with a new design. I showed them pictures and brought in my cake topper that I purchased and they had no problem totally changing the design. On the wedding day, the cake was AMAZING, both taste-wise and how it looked! My husband and I were so shocked at how beautiful it was. We absolutely loved it and would recommend them to anyone looking for a custom design cake!

My experience with Cakes by Stephanie was exceptional! The cakes for my wedding were beautiful and delicious! I hight recommend the Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting. I would highly recommend Cakes by Stephanie for any and all dessert needs! They always create beautiful cakes with the best taste.

Cakes by Stephanie has the BEST cakes around! They offer so much more as well, I swear that is my favorite bakery around. Their cakes are so moist, and bursting with flavor! Everyone should have a cake from Cakes by Stephanie at least once in their life. However after one they will be back for more, I know it!!

We ordered a 4 tier cake for our wedding on 12/20. Each tier was a different flavor and they decorated it with sugar crystals (to look like snow) and silver fondant snowflakes. It was perfect!! It looked beautiful and the cake was delicious, not to mention they were so easy to work with and were flexible with any changes that we had. I would highly recommend them to any bride!

We went a little different and had personal sized cheese cakes of all flavors. We had plenty, great price and sooooo many compliments on them. They were absolutely delicious!

We called and made several changes to our dessert table over the months between booking and the actual event. The staff was always accommodating and the desserts were DELICIOUS. We had a dessert table for 160 people, including pastries, cookies and dessert cakes. They even decorated a birthday cake for one of our ring bearers :) I would highly recommend Cakes by Stephanie!

This Bakery made my wedding cake since they are a preferred vendor for cakes at the Laurel Manor.
Their cherry cake is to die for!! That is the one we picked, and the design was also beautiful!
Just provided them with lace and flowers and they did an awesome job.
Highly recommended!

My cake was included in the venue purchase price. The cake was beautiful and tasted like no cake ever has. I can't wait until my one year anniversary when I can get my topper remade and be able to enjoy it again!! It was perfect!

I had Cakes by Stephanie create my wedding cake last month and it turned out great! It was just what we wanted and it tasted amazing. Really, the staff made the entire process super easy and I'm so thankful. Although we live an hour away from Monroe, we'll be back to try something else!

Amazing, the cake was absolutely stunning!!!! I couldn't have been happier with the cakes that they provided. It was by far the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. One guest had three pieces. It was super moist and the frosting was a very tasty butter cream.

Delicious and beautiful cake! We had three favors, one of which they didn't normally offer but they made it special as it is my mom's favorite. Arrived at the venue timely and looking great. I would definitely recommend them! And when we return the cake stand, I will be bring some cake home with me!
