Great experience for my wedding cake. She was very responsive to my questions and even met up with me to pick up my cake topper and cake flowers (I used silk because they're more food safe). Did a vanilla cake with butternut filling and fresh strawberries. Everyone said it was delicious and most people went back for seconds. If I did it again I'd probably skip the fresh strawberries and do jam so it wasn't so moist in the middle. Still delicious though. Would totally recommend and will hire her again in the future.

Paula is exceptional! Truly the best in the business. She goes above and beyond to make your wedding cake perfection. She cares about every detail and of the cake. Not only are her cakes delicious but gorgeous. I would use her time and time again to do all of my family cakes in the future.

Paula is amazing and made the most delicious cake for our wedding. It was truly a work of art. All of our guests loved our red velvet swirl cake and went on and on about how good it was. We are so happy with our choice to have Paula make our dream wedding cake and will be referring all our friends and family to Moo Shu for future cake needs! Thanks again Paula

Call with lots of time in advance because Paula is always booked, but she's absolutely fantastic!!! The cake was delicious and perfectly proportioned between the topping and actual cake. I forgot the cake topper at home but she did her best to make the cake look stunning.

Paula saved my wedding. Not only was the cake amazing ( it looked and tasted like heaven). But when photographer canceled last minute Paula recommended an amazing photographer. I can not recommended her enough. My guests were floored by how gorgeous the cake was. Paula can work magic with any budget, and believe me her cakes are delish!

Paula made the cake for my October 2015 wedding and it was phenomenal! She was so easy to work with and had all sorts of amazing suggestions that really made our cake special. She was really competitively priced and of course the most important thing was that the cake was both beautiful and super yummy! I am hoping to use her again for my daughters first birthday!

Paula is the best! She will work with you til you get the perfect cake for your event. Our wedding cake got so many wonderful comments. Not just how beautiful it was, but also how good it tasted. I fully reccommend Cakes by Mooshu. You won't regret it.

This review is more than a year overdue, but I need to share my WONDERFUL experience with Paula (MooShu) with other brides! My husband and I met with Paula and she instantly put our mind at ease and she provided generously-sized cake samples (raspberry and cookies & cream - SO DELISH!) so we could decide on the perfect cake & filling flavors for us. Throughout our conversations with Paula, she was extremely professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the cake business. Paula worked with us to design our perfect cake within our budget. On the day of our wedding, Paula delivered the cake to our reception and it looked so gorgeous, I didn't want to cut into it! The two flavors we chose were DELICIOUS and we received rave reviews from our guests about how beautiful and tasty our cake was. We plan to order a cake from Paula every year to celebrate our anniversaries to come. Thank you so much, Paula!

I would not hesitate for a moment in using this vendor. The cake was absolutely beautiful, and everyone said it was the best cake they have ever had at a wedding. And Paula was so patient with me while I was deciding what cake and fillings I wanted. I could not have been happier!!!

Cakes by MooShu was amazing! Paula did my wedding cake and it was beautiful...and tasted amazing! We got red velvet wit cream cheese frosting!! Our guests ravedddd over it!! It was exactly what I wanted, nor to extravagant or elegant but still beautiful! She can do anything you ask!! She was very helpful as well with amazing customer services and quick email responses! It was amazing working with her!! I definitely recommend her for any event you need tasty deserts for! She met us before the wedding to taste cakes and go over details! Everything was perfect!!!

Paula with Cakes By Mooshu was fantastic. From the get go, we appreciated that she was well-rated, that her website had tons of pictures of her work, and that her pricing was transparent. She responded to my request quickly, and we picked several flavor options to try during our free(!!) tasting. My husband and I live in Flagstaff and could only meet with vendors on the weekends, but Paula was flexible and worked hard to find a time to meet with us quickly. When we met, she baked us 4 mini cakes with different cake, filling, and frosting flavors. They were all delicious, but we decided to go with the spice cake with vanilla pudding filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. Paula talked to us about our vision for the cake and our budget, and worked with us to design a cake that we loved but still fit in to our budget. Paula even reduced the price on some of the decorating work she did to fit our budget. On the day of the wedding, neither my husband or I actually saw Paula-- she came in to our reception space and set up the cake before any of us got there. The cake looked absolutely beautiful, and we got compliments all night long about how delicious it was. There was actually quite a bit of cake left over, and we and our family ate it over the next week-- it was that good!

Paula was absolutely great to work with. She's professional, talented, sweet, and her prices are very fair. I would definitely recommend her!

Paula is outstanding! I wouldn't look further. She made both our wedding cake and the groom's cake, and our guests cannot stop talking about either! I wanted a simple wedding cake with frosting and we chose pumpkin spice as the flavor. I've gotten texts from guests telling they are still thinking about how good it was! The groom's cake is what I've been telling people is my favorite memory of the wedding. It was chocolate cake with a fudge filling and the decorations were just amazing. It was my husband's "favorite things" cake complete with a golf cart, fishing boat, beer, football, airplane, and topped with his family crest on the third tier. A quick description doesn't do it justice, all 185 guests told me how awesome that cake was.

Throughout it all, Paula was incredibly easy to work with and creative! She was able to understand exactly what I wanted and make it come to life in an even more beautiful way. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend her over and over again and I'm looking for more opportunities to bring cakes places so I can use her again. :)

Paula did an amazing job on my wedding cake! I had some ideas and she made them come alive! It was even prettier than I imagined! She also gave me recommendations on both decorations and flavoring of the filling. The cake matched my bouquet and centerpieces perfect!

If this is your first time looking online for someone to make a cake for your special occasion then Paula is your girl! I ran to the internet after the lady who was suppose to make my sister-in-law's wedding cake backed out on us a MONTH before the wedding. I literary went to every cake bakery's website throughout the Phoenix area and everyone was either pricey or the wedding was short notice. Plus, not to mention the difficult shape that my sister in law wanted for her top cake tear. When I found Paula it was God's sent. Paula was so helpful and understanding it was unbelievable! Her prices are reasonable and she makes all your ideas come to life! When we saw the cake finished it was everything my sister in law and brother in law hoped for, especially when their not the easiest to impress! :) Not only did the cake look amazing but it was also delicious! Her fondant was the best I've ever tasted it wasn't tough like most fondant! We picked her famous red velvet swirl which I recommend everyone to try if you don't want something too sweet but not plain either! The cake was such a big hit that people were wanting me to give them Paula's information so they can order cakes whenever they need one! So if you want someone who is professional, creative, inexpensive and has the sweetest personality! Call Paula at Cakes by MooShu!

I saw another Baker before meeting with them and they told me that the design I had in mind wouldn't look good/right and they completely changed the design. Then I met with cakes by mooshu and did everything I asked for and made it look absolutely amazing. And of course it was also delicious. We had quite a few people not make it to the wedding and so there should have been left over cake but our family loved it so much they ate the whole thing. Hopefully next year I will be calling to order a baby shower cake!

Paula was absolutely amazing! She made a simple, yet gorgeous cake for my wedding - just like I wanted! After comparing to other companies, this was one of the most affordable for us and on top of that, we received more cake than other companies would offer for a higher price. She met with my husband and I in person for cake tasting and to go over final details. The cake tasted so good! All of my guests loved it and they were asking for more days after the wedding. She made a freeze cake on the side for us and kept it a couple of days after the wedding because she knew we would be really busy. On top of all of this, she has a great personality! I would definitely recommend! THANK YOU PAULA!

Paula delivered a beautiful hexagon-shaped three-tiered cake for our wedding. We chose a combination of red velvet and lemon cake, and both flavors were great. The roses she picked out complemented the cake perfectly.

I searched for a cake expert in preparation of my 40th birthday party celebration and reached out to three decorators. Cakes by Mooshu was the first to respond and I even had my initial meeting before anyone else contacted me. And after meeting I was sold! We designed my cake and Paula stayed in contact with me up until the event. The day of my party the cake was delivered and everyone was so impressed at the design and how gorgeous it was. But then when we finally had the cake everyone just raved at how absolutely delicious and moist it was! She did an amazing job and I will certainly use them again for any event I have in the future. Paula did an absolutely fantastic cake for my daughters special event. My daughter had given up on ever getting pregnant but finally, at the age of 40, she did! Paula at MooShu cakes is amazing! From my inquiry phone call about her cakes to the day of my wedding her service was flawless. She was extremely helpful with picking out flavors that would go together and met us halfway to sample the flavors we requested. She even made a custom mini cake for my MIL who is Gluten intolerant! We emailed back and forth about the decor for the cake and she was able to make it look EXACTLY the way I wanted. I've gotten so many compliments on the look and taste (which is uncommon, its normally one or the other) and my hubby and I can't wait till our 1 year anniversary to have it again! I would recommend Paula to anyone looking for a cake for their wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc. She will provide above and beyond your expectations!

I needed a baby shower cake created on short notice and Paula came to the rescue. I provided her with a picture of a cake that was what the mother to be wanted and Paula worked with me to create a smaller version of the cake. It turned out beautiful and it tasted yummy too! Everyone at the baby shower loved the cake. I enjoyed meeting Paula and her mother. They were both very friendly and easy to talk to.

I was pressed for time to order. Met with me immediately and we created the cake and it was awesome..exactly what I wanted my daughter, the mother to be loved it she was all excited about the cake.

After 14 years of trying for a baby it's finally happening. I contacted them to make a 3 tier cake and it was amazing.

Cakes by Mooshu did a fantastic job on the cake for my client. It was a cigar box, that had cigars on it and the details were amazing. The cake was one of the main highlights of the party. Paula was very accommodating with my short notice and luckily she came thru! We got the chocolate fudge cake with cannoli filling and it was a hit with all the guests. If you ever need a super moist, delicious cake that looks amazing, she is the baker for you!

I could not be happier that I chose Cakes by MooShu to design my Wedding cake. When I met with Paula she was extremely professional and I was so impressed by her creative work as well as the delicious cake samples she provided. My wedding cake was decorated so beautifully with lace detail which was all hand drawn by the talented Paula herself. She finished the cake off with a shimmering pearl spray that just made the whole cake pop. Paula completed the elegant design I was going for all while staying within my budget. Not only did our cake look gorgeous but it tasted amazing and we received so many compliments from our guests. I plan to order from Cakes by MooShu in the future and I would definitely recommend this vendor to all future brides and anyone looking for a delicious and beautifully designed cake.

Cakes By MooShu ~ was Awesome to say the least. Paula was so sweet and was able to squeeze my order in (about 3 weeks before my wedding 3-22-2014, When most places wanted to turn me away or charge me more for a short notice. Paula saved the day as I held back my tears of being stressed out of not possible getting a cake in time. The cake was "very" moist, yummy at very beautiful. I highly recommend CAKES BY MOOSHU!!!!

Paula was awesome in putting together our wedding cake, we had a native theme and we asked her to include our traditional wedding basket design into our cake, we drew the design up and sent it to her and she willing took on the challenge, and we added our own edible jewelry to top it off. The cake was defiantly the highlight of our event. Thanks Paula for the gorgeous, tasty cake.

We had our wedding cake made by Paula at Cakes by MooShu and are glad that we did. We showed her ideas of what we wanted with pictures and the original cake that we wanted was going to be too expensive. She emailed some of the other ideas that we showed her and found a way to get us another cake that we would like at a price that fit our budget. The cake arrived right on time at our wedding and was beautiful. We did not see it with our wedding colors until the day of our wedding and I was so excited when I saw our cake. It tasted great too. I would definitely recommend Cakes by MooShu. Paula is professional and very personable too.

My baby shower was the second time I purchased a cake from Cakes by Mooshu. After the amazing wedding cake Paula did for my husband and I, I didn't even consider another vendor when planning my baby shower! Like my wedding cake, Paula really listened to what I wanted and delievered the most adorable and delicious cake! We did a 2 tier cake with butter cream frosting; vanilla cake w/cookies and cream filling and vanilla cake w/cannoli cream filling. Both cakes were very detailed and done perfectly. I appreciated that for both cakes Paula was able to make a beautiful cake without making the cake covered in fondant. (for our wedding cake, other vendors looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for a cake without fondant!) I plan on keeping Paula's phone number handy, because she is my cake lady now! Any time I need a cake, Cakes by Mooshu will always be my first choice!

We chose a very simple design and Paula made it look like a million bucks. She has many flavors to choose from. We went with butter pecan and cream cheese filling and it was just great! It literally melts in your mouth. She offers free cake testing and her prices are very reasonable. She is a sweetheart. We look forward to ordering more cakes from her.

Paula is amazing! She has worked side by side with me over the last few months to make my vision a reality.

She is such a sweet lady and she really enjoys what she does and is amazing at it also.

She will meet with you for cake tasting, work with any budget, and just all around care about making your day an amazing one.

My cake looked amazing and tasted even better. I received compliments all night on what a wonderful tasting a looking cake I had. I loved it so much that I didn't want to share with anyone else!

Paula has now become my "ONLY" cake lady. Can't wait to work with her in the future.

One thing that people most remember about a wedding is the food and the cake. Cakes by MooShu makes the most delicious cake ever! Paula was very warm and friendly and you can really tell that she pours all her love and passion into her cakes.
I sent her a picture of a cake that I had seen online and within a day she responded and was willing to work with my budget so that I could have the exact cake I wanted.
I didn't have any cake left over so that was proof positive that my guests thought her cake was as amazing as I did!!!

I ordered an Elmo face cake for my son's 2nd bday and Paula was quick to respond, flexible in meeting me and when I saw the cake, WOW! I was very impressed! When we met with Paula we really didn't have a specific design in mind, we wanted something elegant, but not overly busy. I had been shopping around for cakes and just have not found a vendor that I was happy with until I met Paula. I am so glad I ordered my wedding cake through her company. Paula was absolutely amazing and took on the project of our daughter’s wedding cake with only a couple weeks notice and another wedding party on her hands the same day as ours. Even though I insisted on keeping our cake as simple as possible to not disrupt what she already had in place with her previously scheduled wedding, Paula insisted on taking the extra time and added special touches to our cake. She delivered the cake exactly on time, it was absolutely beautiful, it had texture, flavor and moisture to-die-for, and it fed our entire party with just enough left over for those who desired a second helping. We will most definitely use Paula’s services in the future.

She was great! She was very helpful with recommendations for cake filling, style, etc. She also made us these cute little sugar cookies that we handed out as favors. Paula is amazing! First she let us sample any three cakes we would like and gives us her expertise on coming up with a flavor combination. She even allowed each tier of the cake to be a different flavor. She also worked with us in coming up with a price while not jeopardizing taste or appearance. When the wedding day came she was very punctual and even made the time to congratulate us and give me a sneak peak of the cake! Our cake could not have been more perfect and I must give all the credit to Paula!

Let me start by saying that Paula is amazing with her ideas. She created a Rockabilly cake for our wedding shower (which was the coolest and fit perfect with our 50's wedding theme) along with little Rockabilly cakes for everyone to take home as party favors. To this day I am told what a great idea that was and how moist they were! Our wedding cake was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted! I was asked by several guests how she did it because most wedding cakes look awesome but don't taste all that great. Ours not only looked absolutley beautiful, they were delicious as well!! When I started planning my wedding, at first, the cake was one of the things I put off till the end and wasn't too excited about, that is until I found Cakes by Mooshu. I never thought I would be able to have the cake of my dreams, but I did, and the best part about it, was that it was affordable. My fiance and I have opposite work schedules, so going out to several bakeries was out of the question. Paula was able to accommodate our schedules, which is not an easy thing to do. She was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and once I met her, I felt like I had known her for years. She went above and beyond with our wedding cake, from adding all of the key elements, colors, flavors, and made herself available for us to set it up just the way we had talked about. We literally had to worry about nothing:) She was so amazing, I suggested her to my sister for her wedding next month. I will say that in all the weddings I have been to, usually, no one eats the cake. In our situation, it was much different, because by the end of the night, people were still going back for 2nds & 3rds, so we were left with very little, which was amazing!!! Thank you Paula, I can't wait to have another event where we can utilize you wonderful talents & customer service. You made our special day, 10 times more special than we ever thought it could be!!

I first told her I just wanted a single layer but she encouraged me to do a small tiered cake...and not to mention the price was great! I'm sooo grateful. The cakes were wonderful!! He absolutely loved his grooms cake (both flavor and decoration) and I heard nothing but good things about all the flavors. The cake was amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything better!! Thank you so much! If I ever hear of anyone looking for some one to make their cake in Phoenix, I will definitely send them your way.

Planning and organizing our wedding was a very stressful time. We wanted every aspect to be perfect and sometimes things dont turn out the way we picture them or hope for. We met with Paula one time, explained exactly what we were looking for and hoped for the best. Not only was the cake she provided BEAUTIFUL and EXACTLY what we envisioned, it tasted even better than it looked which is not so often the case! The price was almost to good to be true as well which as everyone knows, anywhere you can save with a wedding is a plus! I highly recommend Cakes by Mooshu to anyone in the market for a theme cake, truely top notch!

Paula did an amazing job on our wedding. The cake was very unique, one-of-a-kind, and affordable. We searched the valley for just the right cake; Paula fit our needs. She was willing to make changes and provided us top-notch service. Since the wedding, several guests have commented on our cake. One guest remarked at the detail, in that Paula included an edible image of the bride and groom (not tacky), on the cake. She included all the flowers from our wedding, colors, and a special touch. Only someone who cares about their craft is willing to go the extra mile. We are 110% satisfied and overjoyed. It was truly unique. I would not hesitate to use Paula for your wedding cake or pastries. She made our day, special... Thanks, Paula so much!!!

Cakes by MooShu made our wedding cake in November 2009 and it was the absolutely most gorgeous cake I've ever seen. It was exactly what we wanted and described. They delivered and set it up before the reception and it was absolutely breath taking. My guests were in awe over how beautiful it was. We had a 4 tiered cake with colored fondant and flowers. She were so helpful and not only did the cake look beautiful it was so moist and delicious, the filling was so creamy. My guest's all raved on the cake. I couldn't of dreamed for a better outcome. My wedding was very special because after many years I finally found my soulmate, so my wedding had to be perfect. As I'm sure everyone getting married worries about everything being perfect, and one of the items you really want perfect is the food and the wedding cake. Well Paula made my wedding perfect. The cake was not only absolutly Beautiful, but it was delicious. The price was lower than it should have been for the quality of the cake, and the service was incredible. Honestly, my husband and I were quite nervous when shopping for wedding cakes. Our thoughts were to find something elegant, yet affordable. Paula was amazing to say the least. She allowed us to ask questions, provided a tasting of her amazing cakes, and the price was just right. Her business was not so overwhelming that we were lost in the shuffle.
