Best Wedding Cake Designer!!!
My daughter was looking for a cake designer that could execute her vision for her wedding cake as well as someone who can make a delicious tasting cake for her 07/10/22 wedding. After reading several reviews and seeing La’Meeka beautiful cake designs on Instagram, we decided to contact Cakes by La’Meeka. It was a pleasure meeting with La’Meeka at my daughter’s cake tasting. She was very friendly and offered several cake choices that was all very moist. La’Meeka even sketched out a cake design per my daughter’s vision, La’Meeka was very understanding when my daughter wanted to change a design on her wedding cake. My daughter chose a six tier wedding cake consisting of strawberry and vanilla layers w/ gold bands and gold ornate designs. After walking into The Biltmore Ballrooms on my daughter’s wedding day, I was AMAZED to how beautiful the cake was and it look exactly as La’Meeka had designed on paper. Furthermore, my daughter and her husband were very pleased with their wedding cake. Everyone as well as myself enjoyed the delicious moist cake. La’Meeka delivered the cake as promised in a timely manner and she takes pride in her work and provided quality service. I highly recommended Cake by La’Meeka !!!

Fall Wedding Theme Cake
This post is long over due. I was married in Sept 2019. I am so appreciative of La’Meeka’s service. I’ve always wanted her to create my wedding cake and I was so happy that she was able to work with me. Everything from the beginning to the end was very smooth. La’Meeka is very organized and detailed. The cake came out exactly like the sketch. It was the perfect birch tree cake for our fall themed wedding. Thank you again La’Meeka.

Heavenly Cake
We hired Cakes by La'Meeka to provide our wedding cake. Working with La'Meeka was a joy. She was always pleasant and responsive to my requests. The cake was beautiful. It was almost too beautiful to eat, but we ate it! It was delicious and moist. Wedding cakes are her specialty and it shows. The cake was worth every penny. I would recommend Cakes by La'Meeka to any couple that is planning a wedding.

Tasty Cake
The cake was absolutely beautiful and very delicious!!!! The entire was finished with people looking for more. I’m very pleased with how professional and sweet La’Meeka was throughout the whole process. I was amazed how she was able to bring to life my vision at the one tasting complete with drawing. Beautiful AND delicious!!!
From the moment I walked into La'Meeka's beautiful studio - I knew she was more than likely going to be "the one." Then I sat down and tasted her cakes!!! OMG even cakes I would not normally like were delicious!!! And the finished product was amazing and delivered and set up to perfection. I wish that I would have been able to greet her and hug her when she arrived with the cake but we were caught up in pre-wedding shenanigans.

Delicious, Beautiful Cakes
I loved her cake designs..they are so creative. We got a beautiful 4-layer cake for the wedding that fed 75 people, and we used her sheet cakes for the rest of our guests. The butter almond cake was delicious!

Nye wedding cake
Lameeka and her staff totally exceeded all of our expectations. She was a pleasure to work with and our cake looked beautiful. We had a NYE theme design wedding cake and it was the best cake we have ever had! The cake had multiple flavors/layers such as red velvet, and almond with raspberry filling. Our guests have continuously commented on how delicious the cake was! We are looking forward to our next event so we can book her and her staff! Amazing cake. Outstanding customer service. We were so pleased with our 4 tier wedding cake. Our cake layers were, white cream, key lime with lemon filling, and strawberry. All our guests really enjoyed our cake. I even received a text the next day asking if any cake was left. The flavors are spot and so moist. Great job!!!

LaMeeka’s an artist. The kitchen is her canvas. & her cakes represent perfection! She possesses patience & vision when it comes to creating your masterpiece! I waited for LaMeeka to return from medical leave to meet up with an artist who sketched a cake, just a sketch of a blue cake. I mean who asks for blue, right?! Well let me say this...That blue cake was perfect in every way! It was eye candy for all to salivate over! That blue cake was the talk of the reception & received many many compliments. That cake was prettier than I could have ever imagined. My vision came to life! I have recommended LaMeeka’s services to several brides since & I would recommend her services EVERYTIME!!! My favorite thing about working with lameeka was that there was no stess on my wedding day. From day 1, I was so excited to work with LaMeeka for our wedding day cake. I’d seen her work many times by previous brides via Instagram and I thought her Cakes were absolutely dreamy. Where can I start? How about with....AMAZING!!! Firstly...Ms. Lameeka squeezed me in at the very last minute. It's known that she books up rather quickly (which should already be statement enough of how great she is...everyone wants her) but luckily she was able to still take me because she knew how badly I needed her. Then not only did she do that that, but she created the most beautiful cake without ever even meeting me in person...everything was accomplished via email and phone. Weddings are so stressful and especially planning across the country makes it even more difficult as it was in my case. She definitely has the magic touch. I sent her multiple ideas that she had to create into one cake and it came out looking even more amazing than I thought I had created. Ms. Lameeka I truly cannot thank you enough. I really admire your talent..thank you again!! The cake was the perfect touch to our big day!

While searching online for my wedding cake, I came across Cakes by Lameeka. I viewed her website and really loved her work. I found the cake design I loved and scheduled my appointment. I was extremely pleased with the cake on my wedding day. it was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Like other comments, not only did it look amazing, it also tasted amazing! i'm still eating what was left over from our April 30th wedding in Atlanta, GA. My guests had nothing but wonderful comments about the cake. I wish I could post a picture so everyone could see. I knew Ms. La'Meeka was something special when I sat down and she had her color pencils and sketch book and began to sketch my cake as we talked!!! The day of our wedding, I walked into the Georgian Ballroom and was immediately drawn to this cake as it commanded everyone's attention. It was GORGEOUS! Then I looked to my right and was floored at the groom's cake, which was a replica of a Delta plane. The girl is bad!!!! And not only did the cakes look gorgeous, they tasted just as good. And I mean all 4 flavors!!! All we keep hearing is "Please tell me there's some cake left!" I appreciate Ms. La'Meeka's attention to detail and for listening so intently to turn the few ideas I did give her to work with into something so beautiful. After the tasting, I didnt give a second thought to our cakes because I knew we were in good hands. Cakes by LaMeeka is definitely the BEST choice in town for your cakes. 5 stars hands down!

Her design of cakes is not simply a job, but it's a passion and something she takes great care and detail in doing! From the moment we met her, we were warmed by her smile, friendliness, and the ease of her presentation! Our cake tasting with her was worth the drive from New Orleans, LA to Atlanta, and everything we tasted was to die for! :-) Needless to say, she EXCEEDED our expectations with the cake she designed for us! It was literally jaw-dropping to see suspended from the ceiling of our venue, and each flavor of each layer was finger-licking good! Just trust Lameeka in everything that has to do with your cake, and don't try to make your own cake stand at the last minute. Lameeka may try to refund your money. (Lol) Lameeka is a God send with cakes that taste like they are made in heaven. I went to the oldest, most established bakery in Atlanta and was sorely disappointed because we only got to sample two cake flavors, both were dry and the staff tried to talk me out of every creative idea I had for my wedding cake. When I showed inspiration photos they gave me answers like "that's a lot of handwork". Well yes it is, bakers get their hands in it right? Anyhow, I left with the feeling that they just didn’t want to do the work unless I chose a plain white cake with piped roses on it. Frustrated at wasting my Saturday, I did a Google search for "Creative Wedding Cakes in Atlanta" and Cakes by La'Meeka popped up. I called La'Meeka and her demeanor was so warm and bride friendly that I knew we would work well together. She invited me to a cake event she was throwing at The Venetian Room at Hurt Plaza (gorgeous, elegant gilded marble venue BTW). She had cupcakes in her basic flavors and they were all delicious. The vendors displaying there, were the most talented collection of wedding vendors we'd encountered in one room thus far, from D.J. Mark Battle to Made You Look Photography to Cakes by La'Meeka. La'Meeka was busy, but just the most pleasant person to work with ever, welcoming our ideas, even pulling them out of us and making suggestions as she sketched our dream cake right in front of us. She gave us a quote that was astonishingly reasonable considering the work our cake would require. She sent us a contract and I signed it and sealed the deal. I'm so happy and relieved. I will update after the honeymoon in April 2016 to let you all know how it turned out and post a pic of the cake.

Cake Cake Cake Cake Cake!!!! YES! Our Cake was the bomb because of La'Meeka!!! My husband and I were referred to Cakes by La'Meeka through our Photographer, Taun Henderson. She is without a doubt everything and more! We went into the tasting with a shaky vision of what we wanted our cake to look like, but after speaking with La'Meeka, our vision was defined. Unbelievably realistic replication of the groom's cake. Husband didn't allow anyone to cut it for several weeks later and when the cake was finally cut it was incredibly delicious. Best designs and best tasting cakes ever!

Our first impression was a lasting one! La'Meeka is not just a FABULOUS cake baker, she is an extraordinary person. We knew from the first day we met her that she was the perfect person to create our wedding cake. Her spirit was warm and welcoming and her creativity and excitement were contagious! And the CAKE...oh the cake!!!...was a delicious extension of who she is. Everyone we have spoken with since our wedding has mentioned how beautiful our wedding cake looked and how YUMMY it tasted! My husband and I were not able to get a slice of our favorite flavor...the carrot cake...so we are looking forward to the re-creation of our 1 year anniversary top tier cake. Mrs. La'Meeka is the talk around town. As soon as I mention that I was using her as my cake vendor, everyone would say "oh you using my girl La'Meeka". She has such a wonderful personality and her cakes are out of this world. My husband doesn't like cake but during our cake tasting session, he actually ate every sample displayed on his plate. I knew then that La'Meeka was our vendor. It was a pleasure working with her and we plan on using her again in the future.

My daughter requested a Dulce de Leche filling for a three tier cake, and Ms. Edwards was happy to accommodate. A pillow design on the bottom tier, my daughter's wedding logo incorporated on to the second tier, and the top layer encircled with a ribbon of "bling" and topped with fresh roses embodied the spirit of understated elegance that we were looking for. We had tastings with several bakers prior to La'Meeka and I can honestly say that after the first bite we knew we wanted her to bake our wedding cake. I walked into her studio with a vision. I didn't want your typical wedding cake and I had a design in mind that would mimic the Westin Peachtree Plaza in downtown Atlanta. The other cake designers told me my vision was not possible. La'Meeka made it possible. My cake was gorgeous and no one, not even my wedding planners/ vendors, had seen a wedding cake like it before. Not to mention... IT WAS DELICIOUS!! I purchased caked for 25 extra guests and there was not a crumb left over. I will use Cakes by La'meeka for all of my future events and parties. She is so talented and your day will not be complete without a "Cake by La'Meeka."

Lameeka is not the most inexpensive cake vendor but always remember you get what you pay for. She made the most delicious wedding and groom's cake that worked for our budget. We let Lameeka know upfront that we were a on a tight budget and she worked with us. We ended up with beautiful and tasty cakes that did not break the bank. We liked them so much, my husband wants to use her for his birthday.

We had a hard time finding the perfect cake vendor. We tried several vendors and were not satisfied with them at all! Then our wedding coordinator suggested La'Meeka and our prayers were answered! We had certain flavors that we wanted and La'Meeka perfected them! Her cakes were MOIST, delicious, and beautifully made! La'Meeka was easy to work with, very professional, and an AWESOME baker! She even made a gluten free cake for my mother-in-law! Even that was delicious! I can't wait to eat the top tier at our one year anniversary! LaMeeka the cake you made for my wedding on Saturday 5/25/13 was gorgeous. My guests thought is was fake, it was so beautiful and perfect. When I tell you I have never been to a wedding where there was no cake left. I'm on my honeymoon and people are emailing and texting to see if there is anymore cake left. My husband and I only got the piece we cut for pictures. I guess we will have to wait until our anniversary to sit down and enjoy our cake. Not only was our wedding cake gorgeous it was delicious!!!! We had our tasting months and months before the wedding and we were craving that cake until the day of the wedding. We left the country for our honeymoon the day after our wedding and we made sure we took 4 slices of cake with us (through international customs and everything! lol) Lameeka went above and beyond for us with the groom's cake and we can't thank her enough!!! Five Stars, Easily! If I had one word to describe La'Meeka's personality, her creativity and the overall "curb appeal" of her cakes? Wow!
Planning a wedding can be incredibly stressful. But when my groom and I walked into Cakes by La'Meeka for a tasting, that stress immediately vanished.
She has the sweetest, most humble personality. She sat us down, talked with us and pointed us in the right direction; for the type of design we wanted. The end result? A stunning cake. At the reception, I didn't feel right cutting it! Beautiful. My husband's uncle asked if it was real! Oh and I can't forget the taste. Yum! Best cake I've EVER eaten. Hands down!
La'Meeka definitely caters to her brides and made me feel like my wedding cake was the most important and only cake in the world! She baked a Red Velvet Memory Cake for my late brother. Seeing the cake was sentimental for me. However, I smiled because I imagined my bro eating two or three slices and saying, "this is the best ever!"
Thank you La'Meeka for adding that special touch to our wedding day to make it even more memorable.

I met La'Meeka at a bridal show at Cobb Galleria and she had the best looking and tasting cakes there! I knew immediately that I wanted her to design my wedding cake. My husband and I met with her for a cake tasting and we were both blown away. The hardest part was deciding on a flavor so we chose multiple flavors for each layer and a different flavor for his Grooms cake. La'Meeka was very sweet and personable. She is very good at what she does and we felt comfortable with signing the contract right then and there. On our wedding day the cakes were delivered on time and looked beautiful!!!! Everyone gave raved reviews on how delicious the red velvet cake was. They said it was the best wedding cake they have ever tasted and not only was it tasty, the design was beautiful as well!! Words alone could not even began to describe the beautiful cakes that Lameeka created for our wedding day. I first had a taste of Lameeka's cakes at a bridal show, and they were delicious!! I knew she was going to be the right place for our wedding cake! We had a tasting a few months later and it was just as delicious as I remember from the bridal show! I wanted a very specific wedding cake that was identical to a picture I had seen on her website; we selected strawberry and almond butter cake. We also did a groom's cake with red velvet as the flavor. The day of the wedding when I saw the cake it took my breath away because it was exactly what I said I wanted!!! It was sooo much more beautiful in person than I'd imagined it would be!!!! The groom's cake was perfect too. The cake was rich, moist and decadent to say the very least! Our cakes exceeded all of my sky high expectations and I am soo grateful!!! My husband and I can't wait to have Lameeka create our 1 year anniversary cake!!! There are a lot of options in Atlanta when it comes to cakes many of those places are snotty and hang their hats on their names. La'Meeka has a God gifted talent. During my first consultation, I was blown away by so many of the cake designs in her portfolio. La'meeka can design anything!!
The taste and moistness of her cakes doesn't compare to anything I've tasted before. La'Meeka worked with my budget and was available to answer any questions I had. She is dedicated to her clients and exceeding their expectations.
The morning of my wedding, I realized that I forgot to pick up my cake stand from the rental company. I was so frustrated that was gonna do away with a cake stand, but realized how beatiful my cake would be sitting on the bare table. I called La'Meeka to tell her my situation and she ensured me that she would have a cake stand delivered with my cake for my wedding. I am so thankful she saved the day!!! Keep up the good work La'Meeka.
There was no cake in sight after my wedding. We got four different flavors and all four got rave reviews!!!

Lameeka was so awesome. She listened to what Jermaine and I wanted for our wedding and sat down with us until we came up with a sketch that was really what we were looking for. Our one of a kind design was the talk of the reception...along with so many other things. His groomsman cake was so life like he has a picture of it on his computer screen saver. Thanks Lameeka......One more thing there was no care left the cakes are delicious.

Lameeka is Amazing! We had a tight budget but she worked with us to give us two beautiful (and delicious) cakes for our wedding. We had a gorgeous navy blue 4 tiered cake with silver decorations to match our wedding colors and a poker table groom's cake that my new hubby and his boys are still raving about. My guests could not get enough of the cakes and are still calling me to ask about the baker. My wedding and reception were amazing and Lameeka's cakes were 2 of the highlights of the event! Thank you Lameeka, we will definitely be calling on you again!!!

La'Meeka was a DREAM to work with. She is kind and caring about the needs of the bride and groom. We unfortunately had to change our date and she did not have any issue with it. Also the night before the wedding the ribbon still hadn't been dropped off to her but she provided ribbon for us to ensure our day went off without a hitch. Needless to say, LaMeeka can do anything you ask of her. We wanted the groom's cake to represent the racer side of the groom, so we asked for "traffic cones" that looked dirty. La'Meeka drew exactly what we wanted while sitting in our meeting. Both the wedding cake and the groom cakes tasted incredible. She had no problem making an excellent specialty groom cake. All-in-all we would definately use her again and encourage all to experience her services.

The best cake in town! La'Meeka was a gem,my groom couldn't make the tasting so when he came in town she made a sample tasting package for him. I was unsure what I wanted and she patiently worked with me to come up with a cake that I adored and that was in budget.

Everything Lameeka did was wonderful. My cake taste great. It was beautiful. Honestly it looked like something in the magazines I would peruse frequently. I ate on it days beyond the wedding. When the wedding was over I instructed my wedding coordinator Syreea Hughley to ensure I had a "large amount" of cake waiting in my wedding suite. Without a doubt I would recommend Lameeka. The cake was sooo good I can't wait for the next event, so I can have an excuse to eat more!

My husband and I are so grateful we decided to use Cakes By LaMeeka for our wedding cake and so sorry we didn't write this review sooner. The quality of service, professionalism and quality of her cake is amazing and went well beyond our expectations. LaMeeka was there for us every step of the way from the smallest to major details and added the extra touch to make our wedding memorable. She made herself available and offered suggestions and ideas and was upfront and honest throughout the entire process. We never experienced such great service.
We are very thankful for LaMeeka and her services and cant wait for her to host another event!

Cakes by La'Meeka designed a glamourous wedding cake that completely captured my personality and tasted great. La'Meeka was extremely professional and we felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The cake was even more beautiful and breath taking in person, and it tasted delicious! After the wedding I posted a picture of the cake on my computer screen at work, when co-workers found out the cake was real and it was in fact mine, their mouths dropped because they thought it was a stock photo from a professional bridal magazine. I couldn't be more thankful or excited to have had La'Meeka design my cake and I would recommend her to family and friends.

Cakes by La'Meeka provided my wedding and groom's cake for my wedding in May10. The cakes turned out wonderfully. She allowed me to pick multiple flavors and every piece was fresh and moist. My husband and i celebrated our 1 yr anniversary this past May and we saved our top layer to cut on our anniversary. I was a little skeptical about eating a 1yr old frozen cake. When we defrosted the cake it was as moist as the wedding day! I was pleasantly surprised! I am trying to figure out more events that I can request La'meeka's service, so that I have a reason to order more cakes from her. May10Bride.

Cakes by LaMeeka was nothing but professional during our time of business. If I could give a higher rating then 5, I would give her a *20*. LaMeeka is very good at what she does...I had high ratings even from my guest. Words can not discribe what I felt when I saw my cake. It was just what I asked for. Check it out on the website...the cake with the shoe as the ake topper. And yes the shoe is real and it's spinning. It was out of this world...and the talk of Atl for awhile. Text messages and emails hit the wire even before LaMeeka could leave the venue. I would use her again

After being in sticker shock after a cake tasting with another vendor, La'Meeka was recommended to me by my wedding planner. I found her at a great time because she was running a special that gave me a cake that was half of the price of the first vendor, but had more flavor and moistness than any I have tasted. The special included a free groomscake, free delivery, and choice of many delicious cake flavor combinations. So rather than having a high priced 3 tiered cake with one flavor, we had a decently priced 3 tiered cake with 3 different flavors AND a groomscake. Another thing I enjoyed about meeting La'Meeka was seeing how skilled she is at what she does. During the cake tasting, we asked her about a certain flavor of filling and she quickly whipped it up on the spot for us to try. You just don't get that type of service everywhere.

LaMeeka did a phenomenal job on my bride and groom's wedding cakes. Even today, people are still talking about the design, construction, and taste of the cake. For my cake, I requested a 4 tier butter almond cake rolled in white fondant with a green fondant band at the bottom of each tier. She brillantly matched the green in my wedding to the bands of the cake. For my husband's cake, she was able to create a cake which conveyed the message I had explained. My husband's cake was an eatable money bag with sugar money flowing out of it! Plus, it was his favorite; red velvet! I will definitely look to LaMeeka to create cakes of memories for each milestone in our lives.
