Not only was the cake, pure perfection, but the French macarons for our guests were a big hit as well, which added that additional pop of color and sweetness to our tables. Everything was so tasty, delicious and delicate!

Have Your Cake and Eat it Too
Cakes by Jula not only made a gorgeous wedding cake that looked exactly as I had requested, but it tasted just as good as it looked. I had two people come up to me after the wedding and ask where we got the cake because their significant other usually doesn't like wedding cakes, but they did like this one. I think most wedding cakes prioritize looks over taste, and with Jula you can have your cake and eat it too! :)

Perfectly Delicious!
We ordered a cake for my daughters wedding and it was A+ from start to finish. The tasting was very professional and organized, delivery was on time and they offered to put the flowers on even though I had said I would do It because I was still making centerpiece arrangements. The cake was three layers, almond, chocolate mocha, and red velvet. It was so moist and delicious we didn’t have much left! I can’t recommend them enough!

Cakes by Jula was wonderful from beginning to end! Our first meeting included an incredible array of selections for cake options and Jula was so professional and friendly! The decision was easily made and when we asked to have an assortment of other desserts to have, she had so many great options and made sure everything fit into our budget! We had the most amazing cake tasting/meeting with her prior to the wedding which was such a special and yummy experience. My daughter's wedding cake and grooms cake were absolutely the Best! My daughter chose a classic white cake which was delicious and beautifully decorated. My new son-in-law chose a carrot cake decorated like a Rolex watch. It was amazing how much detail there was on the cake. It looked just like a Rolex watch and it tasted Amazing. Our cakes could not have been any more perfect. We went for a taste trial and ordered on the spot. We told her what we wanted and she made it happen. We even had to change the size of the cake a few weeks before our wedding, and she made it work! Amazing and so delicious. I recommend red velvet with cream cheese icing!

We got married at Butler's Courtyard in League City. It is an all inclusive venue that uses Cakes by Jula for all of their cakes. That doesn't even matter because I was so happy with their service. The cake tasting was fun and she has huge binders of all of these cake design examples. We chose to use a little bit of three styles to which she actually drew out for us so that we'd have the same vision. She's amazing and so are her cakes. Thanks Jula! We will keep you in mind for all future cake needs

Cakes by Jula was amazing. Our cake came with out wedding venue and it was so delicious and more than enough! All of our guests loved our cake and the simplicity of it. It was yellow cake with strawberry frosting on the inside. It almost tasted like a strawberry short cake. We definitely can’t wait to dig into it for our 1 year anniversary!

Jula's cakes both taste AND look great! We selected 3 flavors between the brides and groom's cake and the guests loved them all. We asked for an aspen tree tiered cake for the bride's cake and a camo hunting and fishing inspired cake for the groom's cake, and they both looked great! We were even able to reduce the size of the cake two weeks before due to a lower guest count than expected, and Jula was very flexible.

Jula is amazing and talented! We ordered a 3-tier wedding cake and a grooms cake. Both turned out just as beautiful as I had pictured, and Guests loved the Groom’s cake design (R2D2 in a tux). Jula went above and beyond in beauty with our cake, a two tier top, and three different cupcake styles, and all from multiple pictures and ideas in my head. And not only was it beautiful and what I wanted, it all tasted fantastic too!!! She was even flexible about me forgetting to bring the wedding topper ahead of time and added it the day of. My guests raved about it, and several asked me for Jula's information and are having her provide cakes at their upcoming events. Now that I'm addicted to the absolutely tasty cake, at least I know I can go to her shop and get a cupcake on occasion to tied me over.

Jula was amazing! She knows the business so make sure you listen to her recommendations. We had a three tire cake and a grooms cake. The cakes turned out amazing and were delicious. We had pink champagne with strawberry filling, Italian cream and German chocolate. Majority of the cake was gone by the end of the night and everyone told us how great it was. Her cakes do not come out dry so that was a huge plus! She was on time and was flexible with changes. Will defiantly use her for future events.

Jula was very helpful and patient when we were picking out our cake flavors. She talked with us about different possibilities when we were unsure about what we wanted. We ended up deciding on a cake, cupcakes and cake balls. They were all so delicious and decorated beautifully. She took our overall theme and came up with great ways to decorate everything, so it all worked so well together. We were able to get all the flavor combinations we wanted. Jula even made some special chocolate covered cake balls to surprise my sister with since she is allergic to white chocolate. We had something for everyone! Every time I talked with Jula, it was a great experience. She made everything easy and I loved how everything turned out!

So easy to get set with Jula. She came as part of the [package with Haak Vineyards and Winery. She has fabulous flavors to choose from and made the whole process easy. She was able to come up with exactly what I wanted, incorporating my Scottish family tartan into the cake decoration to match everything perfectly. She was even able to let me know that my chosen cake topper, a special crystal item from Swarovski Crystal, would be OK to use based on its weight, height and base/weight distribution.

Cakes by Jula was great to work with. The process was easy and fun when we were picking out flavors for each tier. Surprisingly it did not cost anything extra to get a different flavor and filling for each tier of our cake! The cake looked amazing, beautiful, and classic. Everyone said it was delicious! There weren't too many leftovers at the end of the night. The groom's cake was also an amazing german chocolate in the shape of the San Antonio Spurs logo, but it was not the right colors that we specified (We wanted/requested the retro blue/orange/pink logo colors and the gray/black newer logo colors were used instead).
Overall a great vendor with great prices for wedding events!

So many delicious flavors it was hard to choose! For the groom’s cake we did rum nut with buttercream. For the bride’s cake we did two flavors French vanilla with Bavarian cream and almond with buttercream. On the grooms cake we did buttercream icing and fondant decor but due to the design we wanted on mine we did fondant for the wedding cake. Both cakes turned out amazing!! Both were works of art & delicious!!

They were awesome. I had a 4 tier cake and they allowed me to do different fillings and flavors on each layer. In all I had rum nut, carrot, lemon raspberry and red velvet. I had around 165 guest and everyone enjoyed their piece despite choosing different flavors. They also were very hospitable when we went for the initial taste testing. We also couldn't have dreamed of a better price. Unlike tradition my husband and I ate the entire top tier!!! We said a year from now we would just purchase a cake from them again. The design was also just as requested. Overall I couldn't have been happier.

Both our wedding cake and the groom's cake went SO far beyond our expectations... and we usually have that bar set pretty high. Not only were both the cakes mouth-wateringly-delicious, as all her treats always are, but they were works of art to look at. We had given Jula pictures, hoping she could come close, but they came out not only just like the pictures but even better. It has been over a month now, and guests are still talking about the cakes.

Not only are her cakes created beautifully - they taste absolutely amazing!!! Its simple to make an appointment for cake tasting and they will listen to all your ideas. I created a beautiful ombre light blue cake with edible white chocolate sea shells along with edible white chocolate red coral. I was able to use one of their beautiful cake stands with a $200 check deposit. Once you return the cake stand you will receive the $200 deposit back. They are very reasonable and will save a cake topper for you so that you can freeze to eat in a year! I loved cakes by jula and will use them again for future celebrations!

I am pretty picky when it comes to wedding cake, and it's very rare to have a cake that is truly on point... Jula is one of those bakers that really knows how to make an aesthetically beautiful cake AND have it taste incredible. There were some guests that had several slices!! The only downside is that we didn't have any leftover cake to take home after the wedding... but that just means that we will have to go back to her to make a mini cake for our 1 year anniversary :)

We decided to keep it simple for our wedding and ordered cake balls instead of a true wedding cake. Every time I would walk into Jula's I would question that decision because of how beautiful the cakes are in the bakery. Whether you order a cake, cake balls or just want a cookie, Jula's won't disappoint. Normally you order cake with the intention of about 20% of people not eating it. Don't do that if you are ordering from Jula's. We ordered 20 dozen cake balls for 130 people. 100 showed up and we only left with 10 extra cake balls... that is a testament to how good they were! And they were very reasonably priced!

Jula did our wedding cake and our groom's cake for our wedding on September 17, 2016. The cake was GORGEOUS. When I saw it in person, it was even more beautiful than I imagined it would be. I couldn't get over how perfect it was, and I didn't even care what it tasted like because of how good it would look in the pictures. But then... we ate it, and it was literally the most delicious wedding cake I've ever had. So moist (not even a tiny bit dry at all, the way a lot of pretty cakes end up tasting!) The buttercream was amazing, and my family ate cake for several days straight because we didn't want any to go to waste!! I will be ordering all my cakes from Jula from now on. Seriously, order from her!

I absolutely adored Cakes by Jula. I was very lucky when we went in for a cake tasting. I told them what I wanted and showed a picture from pinterest; as luck would have it, the cake I loved from pinterest was one of their cakes! We ordered a three-tiered caked. The top tier was a plain vanilla (and is currently in our freezer), the middle tier was chocolate cake with strawberry jam (which I heard was absolutely fantastic) and the bottom tier was mocha cake with cappuccino filling. It was absolutely delightful. They were very responsive and great for the price. As far as I know the delivery went smoothly. When we called a couple days before to add an order of cupcakes, they were really accommodating and helpful with that. I didn't feel like I was being a pain asking for something else and they remembered who I was. Great service, great cake and a great price.

I used Cakes by Jula for my wedding cake, groom's cake and also cupcakes for the reception. The saying on their website is "they taste as good as they look"... and that is so true! Not only did my cakes come out looking perfect, they were also the best tasting cakes I've ever had. My husband is not a big cake person, but he is still talking about how good the groom's cake was (red velvet) months after the wedding. The price for what we got was very reasonable and everything was delivered on-time and was exactly what I wanted. The icing on the cake so to speak is that Jula is a very sweet person and super easy to work with. You won't be disappointed!

Cakes by Jula is the BEST option for your cake! Even if it's not wedding cake. Even though her shop is busy (because it's THAT good), Jula herself helped us during our cake tasting. She never made us feel rushed or pressured into anything. She answered all of my random questions (because i've never purchased a wedding cake before) and gave excellent suggestions based on our venue, wedding colors, and number of guests attending. We hid a few pieces for left overs (there was NO cake left, and we had "Texas" sized pieces), and 2 days later is was still moist and delicious. Cakes by Jula is the best option for delicious, elegant, and reasonably priced cake. You will not regret it!

Jula is who we worked with and she is very organized and has many tools to help you pick your cake which are pictures, and styrofoam cake levels that way you can see how a square one looks or a combo one looks, and in all sizes. Her tastings are perfect and you can mix and match the filling and the type of cake. We were able to pick out our cake in just one meeting with her, she is that helpful.

Jula did such a good job with both our bride cake and our groom cake. They were extremely tasty and very affordable. She also provided us a separate top for us to freeze on our 1 year anniversary. We only had one miscommunication and didn't receive something we paid for but she happily refunded us our money back.
I was overall very pleased with how our cakes turned out. Better than I could have expected! Would definitely recommend Jula to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable cake!

The cakes that Jula made for my wedding were AWESOME! I'm not a cake person myself so I had the wedding cake be cheese cake!!! It was set up beautifully on a three floating tier thing that Jula had. And boy was it DELICIOUS. I was too excited to eat my dinner but that did NOT stop me from eating two pieces of the cheesecake!
The groom's cake was fantastic too! As I said I'm not a cake person, but even I thought it was delicious! It was pineapple case with raspberry filling - sounds weird, I know, but trust me it was super tasty. It was also fantastic looking! We requested that it be based off of a bottle of Kraken rum (if you have never tried this rum, you should, its delicious). She had never seen it nor knew what a Kraken was, but she did her research and it was perfect! She created a bottle of rum on it side with the label looking exactly like the real thing then it had a Kraken next to the bottle with its tentacles all wrapped around it. Seriously it was awesome.

I went with my Husband and my mom and dad. We had ideas when we walked in but her cakes were so amazing that we switched our ideas. She was amazing and so patient with us, the day of the weeding the cakes were AMAZING! Better than I could have imagined. Thank you so much!

We used Cakes by Jula off of a recommendation of one of my coworkers. My husband was not able to go with me to the initial meeting/tasting, so Jula sent me home with a box of multiple (over half a dozen!) cupcakes with different icing and filling options. It was so nice to be able to taste the flavors together and in the comfort of our own home. The cake turned out exactly how we wanted! It was delivered at our venue, and we had zero issues! We got red velvet with cream cheese - you will not be disappointed!

I loves this place! All of the cakes we tasted were great, and it was so hard to choose. The cakes ended up being beautiful. My husband wanted a pokéball cake and it turned out better than expected. It was a perfect sphere.

Both of our cakes were amazing. I lied to my husband and told him his cake was too expensive and he had to pick a new one. Surprised him on wedding day with his first pick!!! His friends said "you know it's a bad ass cake when everyone is taking pictures of it" it got nonstop attention for a good 15 mins. I didn't get to eat any sy the wedding but during my tasting appointment the samples were the most amazing cake I've ever tasted!!! I'm so glad Jula is the preferred vendor of butlers courtyard because otherwise I had no idea she existed!!!

I have never had a more amazing wedding cake as I did at my daughters wedding on 11/28/14. Cakes by Jula did the wedding cake and the grooms cake. They were very absolutely beautiful, delicious and well priced. I could not have been happier.
