My husband and I had a pleasant expectations with Cakes by Gina. Our venue, Bell Tower on 34th referred Cakes by Gina for our wedding cake needa. Scheduling a cake tasting was a effortless process and no fee was required which was great. They provided adequate samples of cake which were delicious making it difficult to make a decision. The Carrot Cake was phenomenal! I had dreams about it after the tasting lol We selected our flavors, Tier 1-Carrot Cake & Tier 2- Amaretto and discussed design details which was seamless. Our rep gave us a tour of completed cake designs which was mind blowing, the level of creativity is amazing.
Cakes by Gina delivered our wedding cake on time the day however a language barrier cause some challenge with communication.
My husband and i couldn't wait for a slice of cake. The Carrot cake was so moisted! Our guest could not stop raving about how good the cake was. I definitely recommend Cakea By Gina for your event needs.

Cake was late by experience
Even though my cake was late all my guest had left and the driver had a horrible accident Cales by Gina still responded responsibly and refunded all my money and gave me the late cake and the cake taste was so good . Our cakes were GORGEOUS! I had a 5 tier bridal cake that was vanilla cake with a strawberry jam layer. My husband had a 3 layer grooms cake. The bottom layer was German chocolate and the top two layers were tres leches. All the cakes were so good! People were asking to take some home with them.

Groom's Cake
We chose Cakes by Gina to do our groom’s cake which was an Aggie Ring Box that served 50 people. The cake came out beautifully and tasted delicious! We did vanilla cake with vanilla icing, and the cake was moist! Gina is such a talented artist to say the least; my husband and I loved our experience at her bakery as she has so many amazing cakes that are honestly pieces of art on display in her shop. If you are looking for a baker that will execute exactly what you want that will be a signature part of your wedding, choose Cakes by Gina. She is a bit pricey, but my husband and I agree that it was worth it! So many of our guests LOVED the grooms cake not only for the taste but also for how amazing it looked!

The cake is delicious and the planning/drawing process is so fun and personalized. They looked at all my examples and came up with a custom cake for our wedding. Cakes by Gina didn't disappoint. The cake tasting process was great. Dolores walked us through the process and even recommended flavors for us to try. She sketched our cake in minutes working from screenshot inspo from my phone. We ended up with a 3 tier cake and each tier was a different flavor. The tres leches and red velvet was delicious! We received so many compliments on the design and taste. We can't wait for our one year anniversary to have our cake topper! WOW Cakes by Gina really are the absolute best of the best. They create art out of cake, which also TASTES just as good as it looks. The Best Cake
I can’t recommend Cakes by Gina ENOUGH! Their product is delicious and I LOVE cake! When we decided to get married out of state I knew I needed vendors who were reputable, reliable, organized, and also fun. From our tasting to bridal shower cupcakes and wedding day cake, they did not disappoint. They even sent home samples for family following our tasting! Gina is professional and handles hiccups directly with clients which was something I so appreciated. From a simple Pinterest picture they truly executed a beautiful cake. The only regret I have is having only one piece on wedding day. We’ve been married less than a month and my husband already attempted to break into the topper. We are attending a friends wedding who booked Cakes by Gina and I can’t wait for more of!

Gina was amazing from beginning to end. The consultation was so much fun and we loved the taste of ALL of the samples. The cake was 3 tiers- each a different flavor for no extra costs! It was beautiful and tasted great. I first tasted Cakes By Gina at the Gallery’s open house. Great tasting cake that I had to have. My favorite thing about them isn’t just the cake & quality. I love the customer portal!! I was able to make payments so quick and easy. It was the icing on the cake! Ha! (Pun intended) When we tried the flavor Butter Beer I was in love. My husband and I were looking for a butterscotch flavored cake & this was it. Guest loved it & the layer that was white cake with strawberry filling. We used Cakes by Gina for our wedding cake and grooms cake – unfortunately we didn’t get to try them on our wedding day because our guest devoured them, but the wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL and the grooms cake (designed after our dog) was perfect! We had the pleasure of working with Pedro who helped us to design our cakes (the grooms cake was a surprise) and he decorated them as well. Cakes by Gina offers a great cake tasting appointment where you can try all of their delicious cakes. It was so difficult to narrow down the flavors for our three-layer cake, but we picked the Tres Leches, Bridal White and Strawberries & Champagne for the wedding cake and German Chocolate for the grooms cake – DELICIOUS! Groom's cake perfection
I’m from Ohio, and I had never heard of a groom’s cake until I got engaged to my Texan wife. And boy, am I glad that she taught me about grooms’ cakes! I struggled for a long time to pick a design for my cake, and I ultimately settled on a pretty complicated one - the football stadium of my alma mater, the Ohio State University.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Gina and her team absolutely blew me away. They were incredibly diligent in communicating with me throughout the process, never balking at any of the ridiculous details I requested be added on. Not only did they perfectly capture the structure of the stadium - including the gorgeous rotunda entrance for which the stadium is well known - but they also made the stadium look absolutely packed with fans wearing OSU colors, added the marching band spelling out script Ohio on the field, and, to top it all off, included a personalized scoreboard with a photo of me and my wife decked out in Ohio State gear with our wedding date and a congratulatory message. They even included the trees around the stadium! It was all so perfect, it actually hurt my heart to cut into the cake. And in case you were wondering, yes, the cake itself was DELICIOUS. Cakes by Gina is an amazingly talented group of people and I cannot recommend them enough for all of your pastry-baking needs!

We could not ask for a more perfect company to make our cake. Melanie was our consultant and she did a fabulous job with our cake. From choosing the flavors and making the sketch for the grooms/wedding cake. They were very responsive with emails and made everything so much easier. We booked our consultation with cakes by Gina after trying their cake sample at the January 2019 Bridal Extravaganza. From the consultation to the wedding the staff was very attentive and executed the vision we had for our cakes. Their customer service was superb, since I made a change the flavor of the cake for the grooms cake (went from choc to red velvet) and they had no issue with changing the flavor (did the change 2 weeks prior). The cakes were delicious and exactly how we envisioned them. I highly recommend.

Cakes by Gina – did a wonderful job bringing my idea to life. The cake tasted amazing – we had each of our layers a different flavor. We went in a few weeks before the wedding to drop off our cake topper and actually ended up changing one of our original flavors since they added a new flavor since we did our initial tasting. Ended up with a cookies and cream cake with cookie and cream icing and a strawberry filling; marble cake with vanilla icing; red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and strawberries; and our top tier which they include in the package for you to freeze for anniversary was vanilla cake with vanilla icing and strawberry filling. Delivered the cake early before any guests arrived and reinforced cake with pillars.

Cakes by Gina made our cakes for our wedding back in March, and we could not have been more thrilled with how they turned out!! The groom's cake was a Maker's Mark bourbon barrel topped with a cigar box full of cigars. It was so life-like!! I think it received more attention the night of our wedding than the actual wedding cake. The design on the wedding cake was inspired after the the lace of my gown, and it was almost a perfect match. I'm not sure how they do it, but they are incredibly talented at Cakes by Gina and will help make your day even more special.
The whole process from the moment the we first walked in was easy as a consultant was there to guide us along the way. The best part of all is they taste wonderful!! Great experience!

The Absolute Best
Let me be clear - I do not like cake. And yet, my husband and I found ourselves devouring what was left of ours within minutes of getting home the day after our wedding.
Gina's cakes are amazing. Unlike so many other vendors, everything at Gina's is still made fresh and with flavor as the top priority. The entire process of choosing the cake and desserts was smooth and seamless, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. The cake was moist and delicious, the frosting was superb (no fondant in sight!), and the additional desserts made our guests extremely happy. Oh, and the price was spot-on! You really cannot go wrong with Gina's :)

The only cake I would ever eat.
Okay, I am that 1% of people who do not like cake at all. I told her this and she laughed. I tried her cake and I have been drooling since. I am the worst critic of cake and I am telling you that this is the BEST of the BEST. Its hard to even compare her cake to other cakes. Its an entirely new level. It's the difference between a fast food sandwich and luxury, gourmet cooking.

Quality Cake with Exceptional Service!
Cakes by Gina delivered a delicious cake which was a hit with our guests and both looked and tasted great!! We selected them because of the great tasting cake, the personability of Gina, and our confidence in their ability to deliver. The sketch she made of the cake very well captured what we had had trouble putting into words during our tasting. This is one of the more expensive cakes that we looked at, but we considered the craftsmanship and professionalism to be well worth the price!! We were extremely satisfied with our choice and would do it again in a heartbeat!

We are so happy with our decision to go with Cakes By Gina! I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but even I couldn't get enough of our cake. My now-husband and I were not entirely sure what we wanted going into our consultation, but everyone was so helpful and had great ideas to help make our dream cake. We went pretty simple (semi-naked, three tier, red velvet cake), but WOW the cakes we saw them making when we were there were works of art to say the least. They can really do anything. We were so incredibly thrilled with our cake, both with how it looked and how it tasted. Hands down the best wedding cake I've ever had!

Gina was beyond amazing from the second our tasting started. I was very sick the day of tasting and Gina went out of her way to make me breakfast tacos to help make the medicine sit easier on my stomach. She went above and beyond from the start. My cake was beyond beautiful and exceeded my expectation x 100. I wish It was a fake cake so I could keep it forever. I was not discounted in the least.

I love cakes by Gina~ I ordered my wedding cake there, my fiance's groom's cake there, wedding dessert table there and my fiance's birthday cake there! the people there are awesome! and they can literally do any cake you want. my fiance and I love the cookies and cream flavor!! My wedding is Oct. 27th and my fiance's birthday party is on Oct, 28th haha, I will comeback after I take pictures of my cakes! There is no other wedding cake business that even comes close to Cakes by Gina! Not only are her cakes the most delicious cakes that I have ever eaten, they are also the most beautiful and most skilled cakes that I have ever seen! We ordered way more than our guest count and we had NONE left over. It's been almost a month since our wedding and everyone is still talking about how delicious our cakes were (even from people who do not like sweets or cake). 5 stars is not even enough credit for Gina, she deserves way more! My husband and I ordered both our wedding cake and grooms cake from Gina, and let me tell you it was the best decision we made during the wedding planning process! Everyone could not stop raving about how good the cakes were! We unfortunately didn’t get a piece of either cake (besides cake cutting for pictures). So we ended up cutting into our top layer that we were supposed to save for next years anniversary. Boy are we so god we did! Absolutely amazing!! Moist, flavorful, and delicious. Gina does a great job of having the cake taste as good as it looks. They are the #1 go to place in the Houston area. I promise !!! You won’t regret selecting them .

Cakes By Gina designed both the Bride's and the Groom's cakes for my daughter's wedding on 03/10/18! They were both wonderful. Delivered exactly on time and positioned exactly as planned. The bride's cake was gorgeous and all the cake tasted wonderful! Many guest needed one of each or more. Many compliments on the design and the look! Almost all gone by the end of the evening!

Overall i was very satisfied with Cakes by Gina! I had such a difficult time choosing a flavor at our cake tasting for our cake since they were all delicious. We ended up choosing a different flavor for each layer of our cake. The taste and quality of the cake was great-it was moist and flavorful and all our guests loved it. We were eating the cake for days later. Also, the presentation and look of it were great and exactly what we expected. I definitely recommend them!

We just had out wedding on March 24, 2018, and the cake that was designed and created by Cakes by Gina, was not only beautiful but SO DELICIOUS!! We had a 5 tier chocolate cake with strawberry center filling and with a cream whipped out layers. Everyone loved the cake and it was all gone by the end of the wedding.

Cakes by Gina was awesome! We had a great tasting and they were a huge help in designing the cake. We had no idea what we wanted and they guided us through the process to a cake we were thrilled with. We had a pretty large change request just a couple of weeks prior to the wedding and the accommodated it with no hassle at all. The cake was delicious and many of our guest raved about it. Our venue manager told us that unlike many other cake vendors, Gina does not make her cakes ahead of time and freeze them, which is why they are so good. We didn't even know that freezing cakes was a thing! SO GLAD we went with Gina!

Gorgeous cake and delicious! From the scheduling, to the tasting, to the execution, no details were left unturned. I only wish I could’ve eaten it all myself! The placement of details was beautiful, we had fresh succulents placed on our 4 tier cake, and it couldn’t have looked more stunning. Beyond the aesthetics, the actual texture of the cake, the smoothness and sweetness of the icing was impeccable, the filling was the perfect ratio of sweet to creamy to bring it all together. Every layer, every aspect was exquisite. They made our cake a true experience from the tasting to the day of our wedding.

We could not be happier with Cakes by Gina! From our initial meeting to seeing it on our wedding day, everything was perfect. During our initial consultation they were asked what types of flavors we might be interested in and we got to taste all the flavors as well as all the fillings. It was great that even the tasting was customized. The groom's cake was the hit of the reception… No one could believe that it was really a cake. I would say that anyone could have complete faith that Cakes by Gina could produce exactly what you want, and get it there on time. I cannot recommend Cakes by Gina more!!

Where to start! Cakes by Gina did an outstanding job on our wedding cake as well as my husbands groom's cake. You never expect the cake to come out even better than the Pinterest photo you picked BUT Gina will exceed and pass the bar on your expectations. We had a very large 5 tier wedding cake and it was devoured with not a slice left. My family and friends were all amazed at not only how beautiful my cake was but how delicious it taste. Thank you Gina for making our wedding cake dreams come true.
We had our wedding scheduled during Hurricane Harvey and she worked hand in hand with my aunt when we had to reschedule and was so understanding/flexible. She is truly talented at what she does and you won't regret booking her for your event.

Our wedding cake was so delicious, the photographer had to stop me from saying "Ohhh my goodness," and smile normally when she was taking our "cake cutting" photos. Gina's cakes are out of this world delicious. My husband and I couldn't agree on flavors during our tasting, so we went with alternating tier flavors. He had the white cake with raspberry filling, and I had the tres leches (which is AMAZING) with pineapple filling. We had buttercream frosting for all of the tiers. The cake was so fresh and moist! The buttercream work was GORGEOUS! Gina nailed the color of the bottom tier to match my accent color of light lilac. It perfectly matched my bridesmaids dresses and napkins. My guests raved about how delicious the cake was and were shocked at how amazing it looked and tasted since they were so used to dry wedding cakes. And to top it off, Gina's team was so amazing at setting up all the appointments and confirming our details. Thank you so much, Gina! You and your team are so talented. I can't wait to design another cake together!

Cakes by Gina, wow what do I say other than it was perfect! Her cake was actually picked up by Fox Sports, Yahoo News etc... from our daughter's wedding. Not only was her wedding and groom's cake perfect but tasted amazing! She also did individual jars with spoons attached with their wedding cake (not actual) in them for their send off brunch the next day. So happy we chose Cakes by Gina.

Beautiful and delicious cakes! Everyone was raving about how delicious the cake was saying wedding cake usually didn't have such great flavor and tended to be on the dry side. Would highly recommend Gina to anyone wanting someone who pays attention to detail on the cake and has loads of flavors to sample and pick from!

My sister in law used Cakes by Gina for her wedding a few years ago and for other events. I heard losts of great things from different people. I'm so glad I booked with them. Everyone is so helpful! We booked Cakes by Gina for our wedding cake and grooms cake! They are very talented. I was very impressed. I don't really like cake, but the cakes here are beyond amazing ans so many different options.

I highly recommend Cakes by Gina! We had a great experienced from the initial consultation and tasting to the setup and delivery of the cake. Cake tasting was such a fun experience for me and my bridesmaids, thanks to Cakes by Gina! They were so professional and friendly. Gina even made last minute adjustments as needed. She was able to add my sugar flowers to the cake a week before our wedding. The cake was almost exactly like the photo that I had provided. It was not only beautiful but delicious! We had three different cake flavors and we had so many guests talking about how good the cake was. I tried two other wedding cake vendors and Cakes by Gina was by far the best in regards to professionalism, taste, appearance, and value. My sister also used Cakes by Gina for her wedding cake and loved it! I look forward to working with them again in the future!

Cakes by Gina was incredible from start to finish! Their cakes taste amazing. We chose vanilla with white icing, lemon with raspberry, and chocolate with chocolate ganache for our wedding cake. For the grooms cake we chose Tres Leches (delicious!!). You will not be disappointed if you choose Cakes by Gina. They are extremely easy to communicate with and their quality of work is impeccable. Not to mention they are well priced for what you get. Thank you Cakes by Gina for making our day so special!! :)

Leo & I had found Gina through wedding wire and went for a tasting...everything was sooooo good! And once she started sketching out our vision on paper of what we wanted i knew at that point she had to make our cakes! It might of been slightly out of our budget but when we saw our cakes for the first time at the wedding we were both in complete shock! Our wedding cake and grooms cake were a HUGE hit at our wedding...they were definitely a major focal point. Not only did they look amazing but they tasted FANTASTIC! I was worried about finding the right cakes stands too and she said" Jessica don't worry you just use mine and just bring them back." Sweetest lady ever, I can't thank you and your team enough! Gina was the absolute best experience we had of any one of our vendors. She was professional, personable, and produced our vision to perfection!!! On top of that the cake was the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had in my life !!! It's been three weeks since my wedding and my guests are still raving about it !!!' She's amazing. Cakes by Gina exceeded our expectations and created such a beautiful cake for our wedding day! Our wedding was on October 16, 2016 and they created exactly the design we discussed in the consultation and even added a few extra touches that just took the cake to the next level! We had over 140 guests at our wedding and literally every guest commented on how AMAZING the cake looked and how GREAT it tasted! My husband and I almost couldn't wait to have our anniversary cake freezed, but we decided why not wait and enjoy this delicious cake in a year! Thank you Cakes by Gina!!! Our cake was worth every $1 spent and a 5 star review! ;)

Our wedding cake was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I brought in a picture of an idea I liked. They brought it to life. It was perfect. Everyone said it tasted wonderful. The one bite I had was delicious. :) I would recommend them to anyone. They were the first and the only cake shop we went to. They made the entire process so easy for us. OMG...I don't even know where to begin with Cakes by Gina. My first and only cake tasting was with her and I was sold immediately. First, Gina was so friendly and allowed me to taste variety of samples and she answered all my questions. She understood my vision and was able to incorporate it into our wedding cake. On the wedding day, the cake was a beautiful sight to behold and it tasted like something from heaven. I had leftovers in the fridge and would sneak into the kitchen every night to have a slice with milk. She made the best tasting cake and all my guest were raving about how moist and tasty it was. Gina, you and your staff are the best. Thank you for being part of my beautiful day!

I would say go taste the cake. I did a few cake tastings and Gina's was the one that sold me. I would really recommend doing a lot of tasting.

After a successful wedding with only a few bumps I wanted to back and thank all of the vendors who helped make the day go by smoothly.
Cake tasting is one of those things if everything goes well (fingers crossed), you only get to do ONCE in your life. I mean when else can you call up places and set up appointments for you to get FREE cake?!
The team at Cakes by Gina was one of the few vendors that had the styrofoam cake layers. It seems so simple but it goes a long ways to visualize how big your cake will be when stacked up. They also, have pages upon pages of past cakes they have designed so you can pick what you want. Their staff actually takes the time to draw you a representation of what they will create and the results are on point!
Once, we decided on how big and the design, the most important part, the cake taste and flavor! We had done some individual research and scheduled other vendors, but almost all of my friend's got their wedding cakes here so we waited to try them last. The location is a bit far out, and the strip center is not what you would expect, but the results are in that first bite.
After tasting their amaretto we were sold! This is one of their signature flavors and it's so good! We had tasted a lot of other places' strawberry filling and knew we also wanted that. Their strawberry rendition was up there with the others so we knew which 2 flavors we wanted. And when I say that their cake is delicious, let me dare say it's up there with Whole Food's Berry Chantilly! And if anyone knows me, that is the Mt. Everest of cakes in my opinion.
The day of the wedding, the cake arrived and it was simple beautiful, a piece of edible art!
The cake was so darn delicious, that I actually ate leftover cake as one of my first meals together as a couple.
If you want a cake vendor that will deliver on their promises as far as taste and execution this is your place!

This is the best cake you will ever have (and this is coming from a person who doesn't even like cake). Super moist and delicious flavors - both my cake and the groom's cake turned out perfectly. Gina and her staff were easy to work with and extremely helpful and friendly :) I will definitely be recommending her services to anyone and everyone.

Gina makes the best cake in Houston! Everyone at our wedding was so happy with the cake. Both the wedding cake and groom's cake turned out beyond our expectations. Especially the groom's cake, which featured the Doctor's TARDIS and Harry Porter book, look fantastic. We have received so many compliments on those cake and people asked about the vendor a lot.. We were really happy and satisfied that we chose Cake by Gina. The entire team were extremely nice and professional. They were responsive and communicative to all my questions and concerns. They paid attention to details and fulfilled my vision for my big day. I'd highly recommend Gina if you are searching for a bakery in Houston area for your wedding.

We had used Cakes By Gina to make our wedding cake. We were going for a peacock reception. They made us a wonderful 6 layer Peacock cake with 3 sheet cakes no the side for our wedding day. It was the most amazing Peacock cake I have seen by far. The cake was almost too pretty to eat. Wish I could just save it forever. Thanks Cakes by Gina you guys are awesome!

Gina did our wedding cake for our wedding back in June and let me tell you, she did an AMAZING job! My husband and I heard about Cakes by Gina from a friend and these people are nothing but professional. I called on a whim for a cake tasting and they were able to get us in. Me, my mom, and my husband were BLOW AWAY by the quality of the cakes and the delicious flavors they had. We had a vision and a budget in mind and Gina worked with us. On the day of the wedding, she delivered a high quality cake that was a show stopper. I could not believe my eyes on how gorgeous my cake was! Not to mention, every slice of cake was eaten. We originally had a grooms cake but decided at the last minute to just go with a brides cake because we were afraid that not all the cake would be eaten. My husband and I both had a bite and were so tempted to eat our topper when we got home the next day. Gina, thank you so much for service, we will gladly use you again!

Cakes by Gina is AMAZING! They are professional, kind, accommodating, and have delicious cakes! I am gluten free and didn't mention it when I called to book the tasting because I assumed they would not have anything gluten free. When they called to confirm my appointment I mentioned that I would not be tasting but that my fiancee would because i was GF. She told me they do GF cakes and they would have a vanilla and chocolate one for me to taste. The tasting was perfect! My husband got to taste several different flavors of cake and he loved every single one of them. The gluten free cakes that I tasted were the best I have ever had. During our tasting they drew out our ideas and what our cakes would look like. Of course, we ended up booking Cakes by Gina. Our wedding was a couple of months ago and everyone has been telling us how wonderful the cakes were at the wedding. Mine was beautiful and my husbands was awesome exactly what he wanted. WOW!!! Where to start.... our cakes were gorgeous and exceeded our expectations!!! We did a UT tower for our grooms cake and it looked REAL! Every detail from the clock, swirls, lines were absolutely perfect and looked like the real thing!! If not better! It was a photo location the whole night!! Our wedding cake... oh my goshhhhh! Gina is so creative and used my wedding dress as the inspiration for the cake! Each layer was based on something different from my dress. She used the detail of the lace, my belt, the buttons on the back of my dress and the ruffle bottom to create a beautiful representation of my dress. I thought this was absolutely amazing and so artistic! We had so many comments on how unique and beautiful it was! Not to mention... her cakes taste AMAZING. We also got cookies are our favor from here. They were so detailed and beautiful! Here attention to detail is unmatched! Absolute best cake vendor there is!!!!
