I actually used Cakes by Emy for a baby shower cake, not a wedding cake, but nonetheless... I contacted Emy about having a cake made for my sister's baby shower. The shower was in Fontana, Can but I am in Alabama. I told Emy what I wanted based on a picture- a 2 tier quilted cake with bow and ballerina slippers. I sent a deposit and the day of pickup, paid the remaining balance over the phone. Easy breezy. She sent me photos of the cake as I was unable to attend the party. The cake was beautiful and my sister reported the cake tasted great!! I'm a happy customer!

I want to express our most sincere appreciation for the amazing "Nurse Theme" graduation cake you created for our daughter, Sherrie. I cannot tell you enough how impressed we were and how you incorporated everything we asked for. Sherrie was so proud & it made our celebration even better to be able to share it with all of our guests at the dinner party we held last night.

Cakes by Emy is as good as it gets.
I ordered my niece 15era cake from here all the sketching and talk about the cake came out just the way we wanted it to come out. The day of the party the cake looked so beautiful and the best part was that it tasted GREAT!! The cake was so moist.
I will recommend Emy to anyone who is looking for a great bakery and reasonable prices.

Emy had made me a birthday cake of a despicable me minion with a cake in front of it. It came out better than what I had imagined. Emy was friendly and very professional. You could tell she knows her stuff. The price for my cake was extremely reasonable c:ompared to others. I highly recommend Cakes by Emy.

Our cake she baked for us was delicious plus for a great price. You tell what u want she does it for u. Our cake was so beautiful my daughter didnt want to cut her cake. I definitely recommend Cakes by Emy.

Emy provided the cake I asked for. I ordered a cake for my sister's baby shower. Thing 1 and Thing 2 Theme. It super cute. Everyone at the party loved it. I would use her services again.

I will start by saying Emy made an amazing cake for my mothers 88th birthday. Needless to say, my mother was the star of the day and if there was a co-star it was Emy's cake. So now let me touch on the categories above.

Quality of Service: The quality is in the cake. Moist, delicious and pretty as a picture. Mom likes to garden so Emy created a cake that was a garden full of flowers in a yard with a white picket fence around it. And, as a treat for each guest to take home in a little butterfly box, she made cupcake flower pots. Lovely!

Responsiveness: As Emy and I talked about my mom she helped me develop a picture of just what I wanted and how she could bring it to life. In the end it was a genuine reflection of just who my mom was.

Professionalism: A true professional comes prepared to listen to and work with you. They do what they say they will do and bring in the project on time. Oh, and they don’t go over budget. Cakes By Emy did all that for me.

Value: Here I have to plead ignorance since I never ordered a cake like this before. As the popular advertisement says; the look of joy on your moms face, PRICELESS!

Flexibility: After my initial order Emy showed great patience as I would call to change some small detail like the wording on the cake or some not so small detail like I need an extra dozen cupcakes.

I luv Cakes by Emy.. She is wonderful n worked with me when I needed her at the last minute.. She is very professional n so sweet.. She did my cake for my baby shower 4/28/12 and for my daughter's Bday 10/20/12 n I luved the cake, it came out just like I wanted n better.. I have no complaints.. I will be using her for all my future parties n events.. Can't wait till she designs my baby's baptismal cake in June.. Luv the red velvet cake..

***BIRTHDAY CAKE***
I contacted Emy by referral from a good friend and I am so glad that I called her. I e-mailed Emy 1 week before my daughters Sweet 16 Birthday party and I received a call from her within 5 minutes. Emy was very professional and very patient with my ideas. She is extremely creative with her cakes and quite the baker. I ordered a 2 tier Justin Bieber cake . The frosting was butter cream, the cake itself was chocolate cake with bavarian chocolate filling. The cake was very moist and the filling was delicious. The cake was so beautiful!! My daughter was the happiest girl on earth. I would recommend Emy to all my friends and family.

Miss Emy is kind, patient, and very affordable. My wedding cake was tall, beautiful, and delicious. The delivery and set up was perfect and amazing! I Would highly recomend Miss Emy to all brides

So professional and prompt... I actually ordered a birthday cake from her for my daughter's first birthday. The cake tasted amazing (everyone raved), and was very beautiful. I had a hard time communicating what I was envisioning with some custom decorations I sent her to use on the cake, but she figured it out to a "T" and made it beautiful (better than I imagined). She was also extremely fair with the price and squeezed me in on a time-crunch the week of the party. Would highly recommend!

We used Cakes by Emy for our wedding on February 19th. She was the BEST! The cake was perfect and reasonably priced. Everyone at the reception raved about how good the cake was. Emy is very professional and seemed to really care about my wedding, not just the service she provided. :-)

"2 Words- Sweet and Amazing", Cakes by Emy made my daughter Corina's 15th Birthday cake/cup cakes, and I couldn't be happier. My Baby loved it, she got exactly what she wanted and more. The entire experience from our cake tasting options and choices, custom design, affordable price and delivery was amazing. She said don't worry about it and I didn't, and I don't regret it, that was the best part. I have to add, she made us feel special and was very professional. Thank you Emy, you're the family's new baker! =)

The cake that Emy made for our wedding day was beautiful. Everyone kept telling us how gorgeous and tasty it was! The only negative was that the cake was smaller than we had anticipated and ended up having to cut the top (anniversary) layer to distribute to guests. So if you're really set on saving the top layer, I'd order an extra. But otherwise, everything we had asked for.

My husband and I were more than pleased with our cake. It was absolutely perfect and it exceeded our expectations! Emy was great and easy to work with. She was very professional, reliable and made that aspect of our wedding stress free! Thank you Emy for the great service provided :)

EMY WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for my wedding i was a total bride on the budget. i had been asking around and the prices where way out of my range. i found emy and she was just a doll! she made everything so easy for me and helped me every step of the way! she worked with my budget and made my dream wedding cake come true! my guest where all amazed by my cake. everyone thought it was a decoration. but after cutting it the guest came up asking for seconds! i loved her cakes so much shes even going to be doing my house warming party..hehe all i can say is amazing! just amazing!! thank you emy for your wonderfull service and cake!

I had a cake done for my daughter's 10th birthday back in March. I started my looking for a place a month in advance, just randomly goin thru the web and searching. I went to serval places with a picture of exactly what I wanted and how many guests I would be having. The places I went to were either way over priced or I need a larger party. Serval places wanted me to change my "Monster High" themed cake to something that I was not looking for. My cake did idea/picture had some real detailed work that needed to be done and it seemed like what I was hoping for I wasn't going to get it! A really close friend Referred me to Emy and she was a blessing in disguise! I had only a week in a half before my daughter's big day and Emy took on my cake idea without hesitation. I sent her my picture told her that I wanted it on the day of her birthday and early if possible. I was so impressed by the detail and how nice and incredibly attempted she was. My daughter loved her cake and so did the rest of her party! It was a huge hit and I would and have referred to my closet friends! She did an execellent job!

I greatly enjoyed working with Emy. She was so helpful when all others were so expensive. We were hosting an event for my daughters 15th birthday and we were on a budget. She not only met my budget but she was very accomodating. I was planning an event from a distance and she completely understood my limitations. The cake turned out great. The colors were beautiful and it looked just like the picture that I sent her.

Cakes by Emy is great. She has done FABULOUS cakes in the past for all of our childrens birthday parties.

Every time I have something in mind on what type of cake I want, she knows exactly how do design it.

The cake flavors are delicious as well.

I know whenever I need a special cake that needs to be created, I know I can count on Emy.

Week before my niece birthday I contacted Emy regarding cake, she was very professional and helpful , I send her picture of cake I wanted , and a week later I picked up the cake 'Perfect' just like in the Pic' beautiful Tea Party Cake, birthday girl loved it :) and it tasted so Yummy ! Plus I also got some cupcakes which were delicious and beautiful as well . I loved the price very reasonable ' my niece is having a garden wedding next year and I will have her contact ' Cakes by Emy for sure. .

I UNFORTUNATELY went to this baker because she was reasonably priced. I ordered a simple cake for my daughters 1st birthday, no fondant just buttercream. I sent her a picture of a full sheet (she made only a half sheet) and emailed her the details i wanted, Minnie not mickey, pink with polka dots...the result looked like a drag mickey sitting on a cake frosted by a child.

It looked HORRIBLE and tasted WORSE! It was obvious she grabbed some old cake she had lying around and threw some buttercream on it. It was disgusting, dry and hard. I had to go to the local store and buy one that was edible since not one of my guest ate more than a bite. It felt like I literally threw money away on this cake. This was the worse cake I've ever had and only because I did not have the time or the cake pan, I could have done a much better job myself and been ok with an amateur looking cake.

It's only obvious SHE DOES NOT CARE about her email customers only her walk ins. She does not do what we ask because she knows we wont give her 'trouble' til after she's gotten her money.

I politely emailed her my disappointment days later since she claims her customer satisfaction is important to her but she has chosen to ignore me. She is very unprofessional and makes me wonder how she expects to stay in business treating her customers this way.

We initially chose Emy to do our wedding cake because of our tight budget. We scheduled a tasting which was really great but the final product was not what we paid for. The actual wedding cake was pretty but the red velvet cake was just inedible. it was dry and just had this weird taste. I would not recommend to family and friends.
