We wanted a simple and elegant cake that would match our Korean ceremony table setting. Chloe delivered above and beyond what we were expecting and was so flexible despite having to decrease size for social distancing and two separate date changes due to the pandemic. The taste testing was one of the best parts of the process because all the flavors at Cakes by Chloe are so good, and she let us try so many delicious combinations before choosing the final cake. Chloe designed the Christmas wedding cake of our dreams!
Chloe was such a pleasure to work with! Out of all the vendors we worked with she was the most quick to respond which we so appreciated. We had looked at a few other bakers before finding Chloe and were very impressed with her prices for what she could offer us. While I’m allergic to gluten and unfortunately can’t speak to how delicious the cake was, my husband and his family had a great time sampling the cake which she conveniently brought to us. She’s able to mix and match 3 different cake flavors and 3 icings within the same cake to please your guests, which so great. Since I couldn’t eat the cake, the design was really important to me and when I walked into our reception venue, I was BLOWN AWAY by what I saw. She killed it and brought my vision to life. She got exactly what I wanted and I was just so happy with how it turned out! I would highly recommend Chloe to anyone. :)

Cakes by Chloe are beautiful and delicious
When looking for our wedding cake vendor, we found it a challenge to find a vendor who made cakes that we loved both the taste and the look, the exception was Cakes by Chloe. From the first time I emailed her and throughout the entire process she was very accommodating, patient, creative and professional. She is also a nice, down to earth person, which made us even more happy about our decision to go with Chloe.
My now husband and I were very indecisive on flavors and were very particular on the look we wanted. She has excellent flavors that really compliment each other. We had a 3 tier cake each being a different flavor. It can be hard to appease 100 guests but for each of the 3 flavors we had several guests go out of their way to say they especially loved that cake.
And for the physical appearance of the cake she is very creative and has amazing attention to detail. She truly went above and beyond - one example is we had a particular vision of the color scheme but we had a hard time describing it and Chloe went the extra mile and found pics online of numerous different shade options and examples in the color we were trying to describe.
Also we planned our wedding from across the country which is already an extra challenge but Chloe made the cake process as smooth as possible. Through working with her we felt confident the cake was going to be great inside and out, and it was one of the few things we didn't have to worry about the week of the wedding, and Chloe definitely delivered.
I can honestly say Chloe went above and beyond in helping us design our dream wedding cake and it turned out even more perfect than we expected. I highly recommend Chloe and her cakes.

Awesome! Hire Her!
I wanted an non traditional cake for my wedding. Instead of a tiered cake I wanted two hedgehogs to match my woodland theme. I should her a picture that I saw online and Chloe knocked it out of the park! It was exactly what I wanted and even better than I imagined. From the get-go, Chloe was one of the best wedding vendors we worked with. She was very detail-oriented, creative and understanding. We were not based in town and did not have a home to welcome her and her delicious cakes for a tasting but she was more than willing to accommodate us. We met at a Starbucks to discuss our vision and she kindly gave us a few little cakes and various frostings to take with us on the go. We ended up having a unforgettable cake tasting at the RDU Airport. haha Every single bite we took was AMAZING. I work in the industry and I have to say that her cakes are definitely one of the most delicious and heavenly cakes I have tasted. Her cakes are out of this world special but what makes Cakes by Chloe even more special is Chloe herself. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and went out of her way to make sure we felt secured in all our decisions. Seeing our cake on our wedding day, we were speechless. It was stunning and somehow even more delicious that we remembered from the tasting. If only we lived in NC, we would have saved our top tier for our first year anniversary! Beautiful and Tasty Cake
Chloe did an incredible job with my wedding cake for my March 10, 2019 wedding at Rose Hill. We had a 3-tier cake to serve around 70 guests. Chloe communicated with me about her wide variety of flavors and fillings, and even sent a tasting sampler to enjoy at our catering tasting at Rose Hill. Because I planned my wedding from out-of-state, I could not schedule a separate tasting for the cake. Chloe was super accommodating and had no problem making the tasting sampler for us. My fiancé, mother and I were all blown away by the tasting and were super excited to work with Chloe for the wedding.
We chose vanilla cake with raspberry cream cheese filling, and one tier of chocolate cake with raspberry filling as well. The flavors merged beautifully and tasted incredible. The cake was moist and decadent. The presentation was incredible! I loved how Chloe was able to work with my florist (Perfect Palette) to include fresh-cut flowers on the cake itself. She even was able to arrange my cake topper from Etsy to make an impressive aesthetic for the cake.
I would 100% recommend Chloe to any friend planning a wedding. She was awesome!

We loved the cake that Chloe made for our wedding! We spent months working through the design of the cake and Chloe was extremely accommodating and helped us craft our dream cake within the budget that we originally specified. If you are looking for someone who will honestly make your dream and vision come true for your wedding cake Chloe hands down can make that happen. We gave her some ideas of what we wanted and she used her creativity to create such a beautiful cake. We originally decided we didn't want a cake at our wedding, but 3 months before our wedding, we changed our minds, and Chloe made our dreams come true! On top of a short deadline, we were planning our wedding from out of state, and Chloe was so helpful over email and responded very quickly. She was able to design our dream cake without even meeting in person! I was a little nervous about picking out some flavors without trying them, but she gave us recommendations on popular flavors. We went with the raspberry lemonade cake and an almond cake with vanilla buttercream filling. Both were so amazing and our guests kept raving about our cake! I would highly recommend Cakes by Chloe!

The cake that Chloe made for our wedding was beyond gorgeous! I definitely exceeded our expectations. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious! You can tell just just by the cake how much of a perfectionist she is when it comes to her cakes. We picked her based on a recommendation from a friend - and I'm sure glad we did! We met with her in the fall to discuss ideas for our wedding cake. I was also emailing with her separately to talk about the groom's cake. She always had specific ideas with details and pictures to support what she was suggesting as well as listened to all our ideas. She was so organized, and would send me a follow up email after meeting with everything we had discussed.
We tried three little cakes initially, and then wanted to try another three flavors. She met me in Raleigh to hand off the cakes the second time, and wouldn't take my dollars for the cake! And believe me, this cake is DELICIOUS. Everyone at the wedding kept telling me how great the cake was, and one of my guests wanted Chloe's contact info so she could get her hands on some more of the chai cake! :)
The groom's cake she made was perfect. My husband is a huge Liverpool fan, so she made a Liverpool jersey cake and also handmade our dogs into figurines she placed on top of it. It was adorable, and my husband was so surprised and happy! The wedding cake was beautiful as well. It was a three-tiered buttercream and she had a lace design on the bottom layer that matched the lace on my dress - INCREDIBLE!
Seriously, if you are considering different bakers for your cake, do yourself a favor and choose Chloe. She was kind, professional, very attentive to detail, and does amazing work. Thank you so much, Chloe!!!

I already had some design ideas in mind when I met with her, but she was prepared with several look books of cakes she had made, tips and feedback. If you want a delicious and beautiful wedding cake, you need to contact Chloe. My husband and I attended several cake tastings before meeting with Chloe, and nothing compares to her cakes. She makes everything from scratch and her design work is so beautiful. Chloe came to our home for the tasting and brought whole mini-cakes for us to try with different filling combinations. We also loved all of her flavor combo suggestions. I showed her a design that I wanted, and she duplicated it perfectly. We got so many compliments on this cake, and we plan to ask her to make a one year anniversary cake for us!

Chloe was easy to contact, quick to respond, and she was willing to meet us at a place and time that was convenient for us. We had a ton of choices as far as the look of the cake, which is kind of standard practice I think, but we were really surprised to see how many flavors she offered for cake AND icing. We were planning on getting "plain 'ol wedding cake," but she encouraged us to try a few different flavors for our tasting. We ended up getting 3 different flavors and it was awesome. It is impossible to share with you the true deliciousness via this internet review, but our guest raved about the cake. It was moist, yummy flavored (best carrot cake ever), and beautiful to look at. No waxy tasting fondant here! Her pricing was very, very fair (no hidden charges), and we hope to have some type of opportunity to use her services in the future. Baby shower maybe?

Chloe is a rare gem of a wedding service provider that, once you find them, you stay with them for life! Any cakes I need made in future? Chloe will be our baker. Her cakes are amazingly delicious with unique twists on standard flavors, service and response were impeccable and personable, she was willing to work with us for special dietary needs, and the cakes she made for both events (a small wedding dinner with three individual cakes and a larger wedding cake reception with a 3-tier cake) were absolutely gorgeous! Chloe Lee is a true pastry artist and genius pastry chef. She took my cake ideas for both cakes and turned them into amazing works of art! Ben used to be a DJ and still has his turntables set up in our living room and spins for us so I had the idea of surprising him for his groom’s cake with an exact replica of his turn tables and having a 3-D mini Deadmau5 head and Daft Punk helmet beside them. Ben was almost in tears when we saw the cake at the rehearsal dinner and every one was so shocked that it was an actual edible, delicious cake! His friends could not get over how real and identical it was to his turntables, down to the personalized stickers on them! Then, we were in complete awe and excitement when we saw our wedding cake at the reception for the first time. The glitter layers and pearl shimmer layers were the “icing on the cake” to our already perfect day!! She also made my dream of having sparklers on the cake a reality and every one was surprised and it made for some of the most beautiful pictures!! We LOVED the cake and will love the top layer again on our first anniversary. We cannot thank Chloe enough for the time and effort she out into our cakes. We can tell how much passion she has for her art, and we are so grateful to be among the lucky couples that get to have her designing their cakes. We will definitely spread the word that she is the lady to see!!

From our first tasting at a wedding show, to our official tasting (which was delish) and our cake cutting at the wedding, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We hired Chloe to create our wedding cake last year, and we could not have been happier with her product & service. Chloe drove all the way from Greensboro to Raleigh to bring delicious cake samples to our home, and took the time to look over sketches I had created of the sort of cake I wanted. Using photos & fabric samples from my buttons-and-felt bouquets, Chloe created a whimsical, beautiful cake that was just exactly what we were imagining. It was beautiful and delicious, and we are increasingly excited to eat the top tier - which has been hanging out in our freezer since last September! Chloe is wonderful. We were very satisfied.

The cake flavors were wonderful and unique - we went with lavender and lemon and lime and coconut layers. We had a design that had been made for the wedding that ran as a sort of theme throughout, and Chloe was able to make sugar paper versions as well to decorate the cake, and it turned out beautiful! Chloe was on time to all appointments and to set up the cake at the reception. We greatly enjoyed working with Chloe, and even purchased a cake from her after the wedding. She was also very flexible. My original wedding date was in December, but due to other circumstances involving medical school, my wedding got pushed up 3 months to September, but she was still willing to work with me on everything. Her wedding cake that she made for us was amazing and had 3 different flavors. I also decided to do a surprise groom's cake the month prior to my wedding and she did it no problem. I wanted a pretty intricate cake involving my husband's favorite band, U2 and it turned out amazing! Chloe was sweet, flexible, and easy to work with, which is great considering she does excellent work and her cakes are amazing! I would recommend her to anyone for sure.

What can I say about Cakes by Chloe, besides she makes awesome cakes. From the minute we started the cake tasting with Chloe, I was impressed. She was punctual and professional. Chloe brought several cakes to taste and me and my wife were fighting over who could have the next bite of each cake. We ended up having Chloe make small individual cakes of four different flavors for our wedding. That completely set our wedding apart from any wedding I have ever attended. Chloe is a cake artist. Our wedding cake was beautiful and made to our exact specifications. She met with us to get a feel for our style and then incorporated some design elements that we liked. In addition to the cake looking amazing, it was also delicious. We ended up selecting three different flavors because there were so many to choose from. Chloe did a fantastic job with the petit fours we used for favors. Chloe was extremely flexible in the design changes we made along the way. She also made us an anniversary cake on short notice. We highly recommend her.

Chloe took the time to make sure our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted. When we did the tasting she even made an extra flavor for us to try. She did everything exactly the way we planned. One a day where there were so many things to worry about, it was wonderful to not have our cake on the lists. PERFECTION!

I met Chloe at the Raleigh Bridal Fair and thought she had the prettiest cakes of all the vendors. I sampled every flavor she had and they were all delicious! I decided to use Cakes by Chloe for my wedding and I was not disappointed. The cake was gorgeous. At the reception there were rumors of "cake envy" among my recently married friends! Chloe was fun to work with and a true professional. I highly recommend her!

Chloe is fantastic, I highly recommend her. I've tried a number of her flavors, they are all amazing but she does beautiful work too. She was very flexible and went out of her way, several times, to make things easy on us. Her professional judgment is very good as well, we left a few things open to see what worked and she made a few minor adjustments that worked out perfectly. She was able to figure out exactly what would suit us best, and did I mention the cake is delicious?!! I highly recommend Chloe for any excuse you can find to have a cake made!

Finding Chloe at the bridal show was the best thing ever!! Our wedding cakes were fantastic!!! The Groom's cake as well as our wedding cake were simply show stoppers! They were more wonderful than I had even imagined and on top of that they were delicious! Chloe was so easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted and made it happen. She even worked with us to incorporate the Southern and the Peruvian tradition of the Ribbon Pull. Ask her about it! It was perfect and a big hit with the single ladies!! I cannot wait until our 1 year anniversary when we can unpack that anniversary tier and dig in! Check her out! She is the very best!!! I know you'll love her! We do!

We had such a good experience with cakes by Chloe!! Chloe herself was amazing. Professional, easy to contact, personable. That was one of my favorite wedding preparation things to do. Her cakes are all so beautiful! She is extremely talented and I highly recommend her to everyone.

Working with Chloe on our wedding and Groom’s cake was an awesome experience. I always assumed finding a baker would be one of our easier to-do items but by the time we were referred to Chloe we had already sampled cakes from at least four of the “usual” Greensboro-area bakeries and had found products to either be overpriced, lacking in taste, or worse. We heard horror stories of frozen cake layers and were cramped into short tasting sessions and were not afforded the time to go into more detailed discussions. In all honesty, the process had become an exhausting disappointment.
Then we heard about Chloe, who, from the beginning was a pleasure to work with. She accepted that my groom and I had hectic schedules (as we were planning from 6 hours away) and was more than willing to work with us on a time to do a tasting. Most impressive was the fact that she offered to bring a number of cake flavors to us for sampling, and was even open to bringing enough so that our mothers could sample as well.
We were initially most impressed by the beautiful designs Chloe used on cakes but were quickly just as impressed with the variety of flavors and various combinations she is willing to do. The tasting was a great experience that left us scratching our heads as to which of the flavors we would use. In the end, her cakes were so good that our Groom’s cake contained two flavors and our wedding cake four.
Chloe also took the time to work with us on the design to make sure that we were both happy with the final product. I was impressed with her ideas and that she was willing to sketch everything out in a way that made sure we were on the same page.
I would recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a special occasion cake. Her products taste as great as they look and she is more than willing to work within any budget. I should also say that I did not see a single piece of cake left on tables at the end of the night!

Chloe is quite simply the BEST! She is helpful, creative, professional, flexible, and extremely talented. She worked fastidiously with us to ensure that she captured our style and vision precisely. That is saying a lot as I am a Designer by trade! The cake looked amazing with gorgeous and incredibly lifelike sugar flowers (anemones) and fondant. It was a beautiful modern take on retro 50s cake. The cake was a work of art and we almost didn't want to destroy to by eating it; but I am glad we did. The taste was divine! We chose alternating tiers of vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream and chocolate with Nutella YUM! She uses quality ingredients and techniques to make the most moist, delicious, and beautiful cakes. Chloe is the complete package and I hope to work with her in the future!
