She was very quick to respond throughout the whole process. She made the entire process fairly simple and easy. She was able to work around our variety of dietary preferences and allergies to make vegan cupcakes and a few special ones for allergies. She delivered the cakes to our venue on time and got them setup. Finally and most importantly they were delicious and looked amazing.

I absolutely love Luna! She is such an incredible and easy individual to work with. She is professional, timely and detailed. We sent her inspo for our wedding cake and she nailed it. We had also used her services for our bridal shower which was also a hit. Being a vegan with an almond allergy, it was nice that she had options to accommodate all dietary limitations. Non-vegans were raving about how delicious her vegan desserts were.

Amazing! The cake and cupcakes were DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL! Exactly what we wanted. Luna was so helpful with quantity suggestions, flavor combinations, and setting up our dessert table. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Luna was AMAZING. I reached out initially because I saw Cakes and Bakes made GF cakes (at a reasonable price !!) She was very responsive and answered all my questions, and I had A LOT. She made mini GF cakes and cupcakes with all the butter creams for us to try so we can pick our flavors. All the way up until my Wedding day she was reachable and available for anything I needed (I modified my order a bit) We opted to do a 10in Gluten free red velvet cake to cut for myself and my Husband (and a few people who also ate gluten free due to gluten allergy/intolerance) and then got 3 different flavors of cupcakes (non GF) for all our guests. I’ve been gluten free for a Very long time and I’ve never had such a delicious cake. We got so many compliments on the cupcakes and flavors. We had lemon cake with raspberry buttercream icing, pumpkin spice cake with brown sugar butter cream icing and red velvet with Oreo buttercream icing. I already know I want her to make my next birthday cake! Cakes and Bakes is great. You can’t go wrong. I vetted a lot of vendors and her customer service was top notch! The pricing was reasonable and it was hard to find someone to make a small Gluten free cake. For those Non GF people out there, I was told all the cupcakes were delicious.

Luna was such a pleasure to work with! She was so helpful from the beginning. She let my sister-in-law do a cake tasting for my husband and I while we were still living in CT. She also let my husband and I do another cake tasting once we moved to NC. Her cakes taste absolutely amazing! Especially the red velvet with cream cheese icing! She was more than accommodating to my husband and I and was so flexible with everything. Luna is the best and makes the most incredible cakes and cupcakes! Oh my goodness-- what a cake Luna made for our wedding. Not only was it beautiful, but it was literally the best wedding cake I've ever had. Even our guests commented on how delicious it was! Wedding guests couldn’t get enough!
Luna provided an exceptional cake for our wedding. My wife is lactose intolerant and Luna was able to make a three tiered cake that you would never be able to tell was dairy free. Luna invited us to do tastings beforehand and customize our cake to be exactly how we wanted it. I would highly recommend Luna for your cake needs and would definitely come back for her business.

Our experience with Luna was amazing. She was on top of her communication all the time, any time I had a question for her her response was very quick! Our cake tasting was awesome, she made us two separate cakes and threw in all the filling and frostings to taste, every single one was delicious which made it hard to choose between them all. They were soooo good! When our wedding day came she was prompt and on time and made sure everything looked perfect. I couldn’t believe how beautiful our cake was when we first saw it. It tasted amazing and absolutely everyone loved it! The lemon cake with raspberry is to die for! I still can’t believe how perfect and gorgeous it was. We cannot thank her enough for doing an awesome job and helping us make our cake dreams come true, as well as making sure she accommodated my husband’s allergies. We had a vegan/egg free cake, nobody even knew the difference! It was truly and amazing experience. We thank you so so so much!

Luna was amazing to work with! All of the samples we tried were so good it was hard to narrow down flavors! We ended up doing a small cutting cake, cake pops, and macaroons. So many of our guests commented on how great all of the desserts were. Luna was so nice and helpful, she asked for a swatch of our wedding colors and matched it to icing and the macaroons! Which was such a great personal touch. I would highly recommend her for you wedding or any event!! I am looking forward to working with her again for future gatherings!

Absolutely amazing! Luna is a creative genius. My wedding cake was exactly what I envisioned but even better than what I imagined. It was SO perfectly beautiful and SO delicious. My husband and I can’t agree on desserts so we picked two flavors on a four tier cake, she divided the flavors by tiers. Marble cake with orea filling (husband’s choice), white almond cake with raspberry and strawberry compote and cream (bride choice) all iced with buttercream vanilla. We have a lot left over and I am so glad because it’s just amazing: I also had cake pops for my wedding that she did and they were GORGEOUS! Luna is sooooo detailed and clearly takes pride in her work! We can’t thank her enough and couldn’t be more pleased.

The cupcakes we got were absolutely amazing and so DELICIOUS!!!! We went to multiple places for cake tasting before choosing cake and bakes. They had the best tasting cake and options out of the places we tried. The cupcakes and cutting cake were also very pretty! I have no regret with my decision to use them for our wedding!

Luna is committed to top notch customer service. Not only are her cakes wonderfully delicious, but she is very flexible and understanding with the customers needs. Her willingness to make last-minute adjustments have been a Saving Grace. Her kindness, flexibility, professionalism and sincere efforts and understanding what the customer wants makes her a perfect example of how businesses should be run. Luna is absolutely amazing!! When we first met her for our tasting we knew she was the baker for us! She was so kind and patient with us while trying to pick a cake. Our wedding cake was so amazing and absolutely exceeded my expectations. My friends and family deemed our cake the best wedding cake they have ever had! Since our wedding in May we ordered a cake for my brothers birthday and again Luna delivered! We recently celebrated our 6 month anniversary and decided to enjoy the top tier of our cake and it was just as amazing as it was on our wedding day! Absolutely phenomenal vendor, awesome to work with from start to finish. We scheduled a tasting which was not only delicious but fun as well. Luna is so sweet and accomodating. And she gives you leftovers to take home! Prices were more than reasonable and payments were very smooth. For reference we had a 85 person cake, 3 tiers and 2 flavors for about $450 which included delivery to our venue. The cake looked fabulous and we didn't have to worry about saving first tier, she makes a seperate one to save for 1 year anniversary. I had guests come up to me raving about cake at the reception. Our flavors were chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and rasperry coulis. We also went with a 2nd flavor: creme brulee which was a lovely contrast. Absolutely amazing. I never imagined my now husband or I going for a chocolate & fruit cake but it was *that* good. Luna was responsive and punctual and professional and required no micromanaging at all. She even sent us a pic of the cake with our cake topper before she left our venue on the wedding day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any event!

Luna was very easy to work with right from the start. She always responded to us quickly and helped us plan out the perfect wedding cake. Her cakes are not only delicious but are beautiful too. One thing that impressed me the most was her ability to be flexible and work with us on the timing of delivering the cake. We had a small, one hour window for her to deliver the cake and set it all up, and she was more than willing to go above and beyond for us. Luna did a great job with our wedding cake! We gave her a picture from pinterest with how we wanted the cake to look and she got it spot on! We provided fresh flowers on-site for her to add in from our florist and she made it look stunning. We were able to get fillings that tasted amazing with whole fruit in-between the layers for way less than other cake vendors we looked at. She also let us choose two separate flavors since we had 3 tiers - so my hubby and I both got to have our favorites!! Luna also included a 4" anniversary cake that cake separate and boxed so we didn't have to worry about saving the actual top tier of our cake. This was such a nice added bonus and made everything so easy! Luna would be a great choice for a wedding cake vendor!

Luna was wonderful to work with! She provided multiple samples for us to choose from, all of which were delicious. We ended up going with a "naked" almond cake with a coconut cream filling, it was amazing and we have gotten so many compliments on our wedding cake! We had approximately 220 people at our wedding, but Luna suggested going with a cake that served 150 people (as baker's slices are bigger than normal) and it was perfect, we only had a few slices left over. We will definitely use Luna for any future celebrations!

I am the mother of the bride and met with Luna,owner and main baker for Cakes and Bakes Charlotte. Luna is very professional and easy to work with. We met with her several months before the wedding. She brought us many samples to taste and after listening to daughter's wishes gave some suggestions. Her cake samples were so good and price was very reasonable that we decided during the meeting she was the one to bake the cake. Ordered enough to feed 200 guests. Cake was delicious and I don't think we had any left over at the end of the reception. I follow her on Facebook and she bakes all sorts of cakes and will definitely order from her again.

When looking for wedding cakes, we found Luna online. From the first email we sent Luna wanting additional information and prices, all the way up until the end, she was nothing but professional in every way. Always quick to respond, answered every question we had, and was very willing to work with us along the way with any changes. Not only was the cake beautiful and just the way we wanted it, but all 3 flavors we had were incredible! Luna was an awesome person to do business with. She can take your ideas and create the most beautiful, delicious cakes beyond your dreams. Our works of art cakes were done with red velvet - melt in your mouth delicious; chocolate - too good to even try to describe; and the vanilla with lemon was amazing - sweet with just enough tart. Aside from being the most delicious I have ever tasted, the design was soooo much prettier than I had envisioned. I cannot recommend this lady enough - you will absolutely not be disappointed.

If I could give a higher rating, I would! Luna was so easy to work with. We knew immediately from our consultation that she was the one we wanted baking our cake. Our cake was incredibly delicious (and beautiful) and there was literally nothing left but crumbs of all three flavors. We received so many compliments on our cake and wish we ordered a larger one...and we also had a dessert buffet, so that's a testament to how wonderful the cake was. Luna is truly a gifted baker and we're very grateful for her. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

My cake was PERFECT! I can not say anything negative. Not to mention it was so good. My uncle loves chocolate and the 2nd layer was his favorite. We also did the bottom tier in strawberry cream. Mmmmm! I'm a chocolate lover so the 2nd and 3rd tier were my choice (because I was the bride) the bottom layer was being considerate of my guest. I am so glad I was a considerate bride. I enjoyed every layer and so did my guest. Even the non-chocolate lovers. Cakes and Bakes will be my only place to purchase cakes from here on out. Cannot wait until my daughter's birthday :)

Everyone at the wedding wanted to know how they could get some of that cake shipped back to their hometowns. In the planning of a wedding, somethings you get really right and this was one of them.

I wanted a cake that people would remember and I got it with Cakes & Bakes. I received compliments from all of my guests about the cake. The cake was fresh and moist with a light vanilla taste, the lemon curd filling was wow....The icing was just sweet enough without being overbearing. I told the baker my vision and she delivered. It was decorated so elegantly.
The price was by far cheaper than any other quote I received. I needed a cake to keep 100-110 people and I had plenty left for the following day activities. I would highly recommend Cakes & Bakes for any cake needs you have.

My wedding cake tasted as good as it looked and I have been to many weddings where the cake was very beautiful, but then when you tasted the cake it was dry or too sweet. My guests were very impressed with the beauty of my cake, and then after eating the cake they were even more impressed! I would recommend Cakes & Bakes to brides who want to impress their guest! My wedding had to be postponed due to my soon to be father-in-law's death only a few days before the wedding. This was not a problem for Cakes & Bakes, she assured me that whenever I rescheduled my wedding she would have my cake ready. If you want the prettiest, best tasting , and most affortable cake, you want Cakes & Bakes!

Luna provided both the wedding cake and the groom's cake for my daughter's wedding. BOTH were custom designs and they were both done extremely well. The groom's cake was particularly challenging (a 3-D golden trout) and it looked like a real fish! Our first meeting with Luna sealed the deal--she brought delicious samples of all of her cakes and icings. She makes her own fondant from scratch. Her buttercream icings are to die for---both chocolate and vanilla. All of the cake flavors are moist and tasty! We had a hard time deciding because they were all so good! We went with red velvet for the groom's cake and chocolate with raspberry filling for the wedding cake. Luna created a custom monogram for the wedding cake from a template we provided. It was perfect. Pricing was excellent compared to other vendors that we evaluated. Everything was delivered and set up exactly as planned. The cakes were some of the most stress-free parts of the event planning. Luna is a delightful woman and we knew we were in good hands with her from the start---she did not disappoint. I highly recommend her services!

Luna was great to work with- I needed a gluten free cake and hers was so good! Most of the guests couldn't even tell that the cake wasn't made with regular flour. She was super responsive with her emails as well.

Sadly we never got our cake
Sadly she let us know 2 days before our wedding she couldn’t make the cake. She didn’t give us any options. Not sure why she waited that long to make the cake or to let me know. You would think she would of had a plan B or reached out to someone else to make the cake for her. Not sure if you want to take a chance to have no cake for your event. Unreliable
