Got so many compliments on the cake flavor!

We got our wedding cake via Cake Expressions and it was the best decision. They are a preferred vendor with our hotel but we didn't expect to meet such a sweet owner, to have such a hard time picking a flavor we preferred (just barely got it in before the deadline), or to have multiple guests come up to us after the day to tell us that the cake was so yummy. They also did our design perfectly and with hardly any direction other than a few notes. All in all a great experience working with them.

Beautiful wedding cake!

We loved our experience with Cake Expressions for our wedding this past August! They were very responsive and helpful during the cake tasting answering all of our questions. The whole process was easy, and their prices were reasonable as far as wedding cakes go. The end product turned out exactly how I wanted it, even though I made some more last-minute changes to the design, and they did a beautiful job arranging the flowers on the cake that the florist provided. The cake was also delicious, and we were able to have each layer be a different flavor!

Beautiful and Delicious Dairy-Free Wedding Cake

As someone who loves cake, but also has a dairy allergy, having a yummy, dairy-free cake at my wedding was super important to me. It was tough to find something dairy-free but still delicious- that is, until we tried Cake Expressions. Since that first tasting a year before the wedding, my wife and I were looking forward to the cake almost as much as we were looking forward to the wedding. Cake Expression’s cake is SO GOOD, our guests still haven’t stopped talking about it.

What I wasn’t expecting was how absolutely beautiful the cake would be on top of being so yummy. I truly could not have imagined a better cake for our wedding. If you are looking for a cake for your event (dairy-free or not), look no further than Cake Expressions.

Delicious and gorgeous wedding desserts!!

We had Cake Expressions do our wedding cake & desserts, and we are SO pleased with how everything looked and tasted!! As expected, cake/dessert tasting was one of the highlights of the wedding planning process — we had a fantastic experience meeting with Cero for the tasting and discussing what we wanted for our wedding reception. The team at Cake Expressions made planning super easy (even with a COVID postponement for a year later); they’re professional, responsive, organized, and friendly. The hardest part was making a decision about which desserts to have, because they are all so delicious!! We ended up choosing a two-tiered cake (and then ah! The flavors are hard to pick from too..! We went with 1 tier of burnt almond and 1 tier of carrot cake), as well as mini-cupcakes, brownies, and lemon bars. The desserts flew off the table, and we received numerous compliments from our guests about how good they were. We’re still drooling over our wedding desserts, and can’t wait for the next opportunity to celebrate with a cake so that we can go back to Cake Expressions for more!!

Wedding Cake was Wonderful, Beautiful and Delicious

It was the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake ever! Cero was very nice and helped us with the design of our wedding cake. We wanted a 3 tier wedding cake with tuxedo cake layers and strawberry layers. They were done perfectly, and the cake was both moist and delicious (not too sweet)! Please see the pictures for how beautiful it turned out!

Beautiful and delicious wedding cakes (and desserts!)

We absolutely love Cake Expressions! Cake tasting, of course, was our favorite part of wedding planning -- and we were blown away by not only the designs, but also the taste, of their cakes and desserts. They have so much variety, and all of the options are amazing. In addition, Robynne and Cero are such sweet people -- they made it easy to postpone our event, and have consistently been responsive, accommodating, and professional. Cero took the time to really understand our needs and desires, and we have no doubt that our wedding cake will be beautiful and delicious (we'll be back to post a photo next year)! In short, we highly recommend visiting Cake Expressions for any and all of your cake and dessert needs!!

Delicious Cake

Cake Expressions made us 4 delicious flavors of cake for our wedding, we had several guests who reportedly ate a slice of each. The cake tasting experience was also very professional and easy. Our wedding cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Cake expressions was an absolute pleasure to work with and their results are incredible. We highly recommend them!

Easy to work with & carrot cake was delicious!

When we got married in November 2018, Cake Expressions had a contract with our venue (Cinnabar Hills Golf Club) where you get a 3-tier cake included in their off-season package. This made getting a wedding cake so much easier and on-top of that, Cake Expressions was so nice and easy to work with. I wanted a simple, white buttercream cake with fresh flowers - and it came out perfectly. Cinnabar Hills also had a cake riser so not having to rent one was great. The cakes were delicious and we ended up going with carrot cake (which was $20 extra but so worth it). I heard from guests that the cake was delicious and it looked exactly like we talked about.

Delicious cakes. Total professionals!

Cake Expressions was a vendor that was included in the package for our venue (Cinnabar Hills Golf Club). We really loved working with Cake Expressions!

First, the tasting is really fun. You get to try 8 or 10 different flavors of cake. I love cake, and this was so exciting. We ultimately settled on toasted almond and tiramisu as our favorites. Because our cake was 4 tiers, they let us choose multiple flavors. I believe they said we could even do one flavor per tier, but we settled on our 2 flavors.

The cake itself was beautiful and delicious! They accommodated my request for a very clean, modern looking cake.

The cake was delivered to the venue right on time. Our florist left a few loose flowers on the cake table for the Cake Expressions staff person to insert into the cake and, wow, they placed the flowers carefully and beautifully (just look at the photo)! 5 stars :)!

Wedding cake

Cake expressions came with our venue's package, so we were a little bit worried, but everything turned out amazing! My mother (who makes lots of cakes in her free time) could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was! We were also on a budget and didn't want to pay for extra flowers, but they let us buy our own fake flowers and arranged them on the cake for us at no extra charge.

Cero was a pleasure to work with and did an incredible job on my wedding cake. He was very responsive and took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. The end product was not only stunning, but also delicious. During the cake cutting, my husband and I actually ended up eating the whole piece of cake because it was so good we couldn't put it down! The coordination and delivery of the cake was seamless. I highly recommend Cero and Cake Expressions!

Our wedding cake was beautiful. All our guest kept complimenting us on our choice and saying how delicious it was. Robin was very professional and accommodating. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Cake Expressions was one of the last bakeries we selected for a tasting, however after the experience we had during our tasting (both the cake flavors & Robynne's flexibility), we had to go with them for our wedding cakes! Robynne was so accommodating during our tasting and very open and honest with her opinions. She also listened to what we wanted and confirmed prior to our wedding. We went with a mini tiered cake for the two of us and mini cakes for our guests, and all the details we had discussed during our tasting/consultation were executed flawlessly. The display looked beautiful and the cakes all tasted amazing!

Our venue package includes a cake expressions cake so we scheduled a tasting with them and were very happy with several of the choices. Robyn was very easy to work with. We didn't have a very clear vision, and she took what we had in mind and gave several suggestions which we gladly took. They were very flexible and allowed us to play around with our ideas of the cupcake toppers and worked with us to get the toppers and arrange them on the stand. I was especially impressed with how detailed Robyn was with figuring out exactly how things would look: which toppers with which types of cupcake. Everything came exactly as expected and tasted better than expected.

I love cake expressions! They are absolutely amazing. The cakes flavors are delicious. I thought our cake was absolutely gorgeous. I showed them a picture I found online, they made some tweaks and turned it into our own unique cake. It was truly my dream wedding cake.

The first time we were exposed to Cake Expressions was at a wedding fair at the Rengstorff House. We tried Cero's cupcakes, and they were really, really good. When the venue we got married at had the wedding cake included from Cake Expressions, we were really excited. After a disappointing first tasting with the venue (the second tasting went much better, fortunately), we were a little apprehensive going into our cake tasting. We had 9 different slices of cake to try and choose from. Every. Single. Slice. was delicious. Even my now-husband loved everything, including the carrot cake (a cake he is not fond of). We had a hard time choosing which flavor to use for our wedding cake. It's neat they let you do different flavors for each layer if you really wanted to for a little extra (we didn't). Also, they have a really awesome special where, around your one-year anniversary, if you give them a call they will remake the top layer of your cake for you so you don't have to freeze it for a whole year (we're totally eating our top layer now). All our guests also loved our cake, and we couldn't be happier!

Excellent, high quality and beautiful. Cake Expressions is a vendor that was included with our per-person buffet price at our reception venue, Michaels at Shoreline in Mountain View (which I also completely recommend). So I am not sure how much their prices compare to other bakeries. Since they were an included deal, I thought the cake might be basic looking and bland. Quite the opposite - it was a beautiful, four tier cake with completely customized flavors and fillings based on our requests from the tasting. Their devils food cake is luscious with the fudge filling, their lemon cake is lovely with their lemon filling, and their "tuxedo" three layer chocolate-vanilla-chocolate with raspberry filling was perfect. Their set-up of the cake on a stand with my provided table cloth, candles and decorations was also included joyfully. It was amazing that they even initiated color matching of not only the butter cream frosting to the exact warm white of my silk dress, but also the fondit ribbon band around the cake color-matched to my bridesmaid dresses! To top that off, they replaced their standard scrolling pattern on the cake's sides to be our exact invitation logo. All very much above and beyond my expectations!

I had the MOST gorgeous cake!!! Cake Expressions and Ciro created magic with this cake. everyone LOVED the flavor, look and taste of the cake, filling and icing. I would 100% recommend them to any bride or party planner!!

I had the BEST experience with Cake Expressions!!! I truly couldn't be happier with Cero and Robynne from Cake Expressions!!!! I just got married on October 12, 2013 and they created the most BEAUTIFUL cake that my family and friends are still talking about! BRIDES.. if you are reading this just make an appointment with them and I am sure you will fall in love just as I did. My florist was supposed to cascade fresh flowers throughout my cake and for whatever reason it didn't get done. I was so upset until I saw the cake that Cero designed, it literally stopped me in my tracks and couldn't get over how gorgeous it was without the flowers.

The whole process for me was WONDERFUL!!! I had met Cero last year at the Trudys Bridal Fair and what struck me the most was how kind he was and how much he cared about his brides. I was watching as previous brides were coming up and talking to him, each one gushing about him and he seemed to remember each one and was equally as grateful to them.

When it came time for my big day I knew I needed to see him so I emailed Robynne who responded to me IMMEDIATELY. She was so wonderful and helped me come up with the perfect cake!

I had this idea of having multiple cakes instead of one large cake, the main reason I was looking at the small cakes was because I didn't think I could afford the large cake of my dreams, but leave it to Cero and Robynne to make my dreams a reality! They listened to what I wanted and worked together and came up with a cake that looked larger than life!!!!!!

The cake was absolutely delicious and to top it off Cero actually personally went to the venue and set up my cake which I thought was so sweet that he cared that much and wanted it to be perfect. I would highly recommend this wonderful company to everyone!

Beautiful and delicious! Our two cakes were not only cakes, they were pieces of art that also tasted delicious! Linda worked with us to make the visions the bride and groom had for their cakes become reality. They were the talk of the evening. She did that in the most magnificent way! We used Cake Expressions for our wedding cake as a service through Cinnabar Hills Golf Club where we had our reception (side note: Cinnabar is AMAZING!). They had a deal with the bakery that gave us a disounted price and waived the cake cutting fee at the reception location. When we went to try the cakes they were ALL delicious. Even flavors I have not been a fan of before were great. You can have some of the most refined to simplest flavor and ingredient combinations and your cake will be delicious and moist.
As our wedding was in August we decided to go with lighter flavors and chose a lemon cake with raspberry filling and a yellow cake with strawberry filly. The frosting was vanilla buttercream. We got so many compliment on the cake and it was also beautiful. The people at Cake Expressions are very talented and also just really nice people. They definitely are good at what they do. Also, if you send them a picture of you wedding cake they send you a mini one on your anniversary. This little gift allows them to keep their portfolio updated.

What a joy to work with Cero and his team!!! We had mini cupcakes and a personal 8" cake for cutting for our July 14th wedding. We chose 4 flavors for the mini cupcakes...so hard to choose just one!! Each flavor is AMAZING! This team is SO professional and friendly, they really go the extra mile to ensure that you have nothing to worry about. This was the only vendor that had actually called me the week before my wedding to let me know that everything was set and ready to go - that I didn't have to worry about anything. That alone gave them a BIG point in my book! I will most definitely be using Cake Expressions again for another event!

Cake Expressions was part of our reception package with Michael's Restaurant for our June 29th, 2012 wedding. When the groom and I went in for our tasting, Cero brought out an assortment of flavors, all amazingly delicious! For our cake we chose Tuxedo with Strawberry filling, Mango mousse w/mango cream, and chocolate with raspberry ganache. In addition, since Michael's package only includes a basic wedding cake, we wanted to personalize our cake a lot, but it was a smooth process. The groom and I expressed how we envisioned our cake to match our wedding invitation design, be askewed, and Cero made it all happen! He sent us a rough draft drawing of the cakes design about a month in advance of the wedding & asked us if any thing needed to be added and nothing needed to be, it was perfect! On the day of his team was early to the venue to set up and it was a dream come true. All our guests were raving about how beautiful it was and how great it tasted.

I can not wait to work with Cero and Cake Expressions again in the future! They made our dream cake a reality. :)

Cero and his cakes are AMAZING!! He made a beautiful 3-tier wedding cake for us that included intricate scrolling, Swarovski crystals, and 3 amazing flavors! We really enjoyed our experience tasting the different flavors and working with Cero and his staff to design our dream cake. We felt confident that Cake Expressions was going to deliver a lovely and delicious cake, and they did not let us down. We got many compliments on the beauty and the taste of the cake, so we were extremely happy with the results and would recommend Cake Expressions to other couples for their wedding. As an added bonus, if you provide them with an 8x10 of your cake after your wedding, you will receive a free anniversary cake the next year! No need to freeze the top layer of your cake if you go with Cake Expressions! :)

My wedding cake came out beautiful and tasted amazing! I had many compliments on the style and beauty of my cake and also the flavor! We went for taste testing thinking we were going to go with white or chocolate, because we are very picky eaters and they had all flavors out for us to taste we ended up going with something completely out of our ordinary because it tasted so delicious! They were friendly and easy to work with!

Both my wife and I really enjoyed the spectacular and delectable cake that Cake Expressions made for us. From a different company, we got hand-crafted lifelike mini-dolls of ourselves, and when we put that on top of our cake, it was just the most spectacular cake ever! ALL of our guests complimented it. 5/5 for a terrific cake!

Cake Expressions is a small mom and pop business that is great at what it does. The day you meet with them to taste cakes, they have a plate all ready for you to choose each frosting, cake flavor, and filling. They have hundreds of photos of cakes to choose from and are even open to you telling them exactly what you want. They draw your cake right on your contract and they will even match colors exactly. They made a ribbon of frosting on my cake match my bridesmaids dresses to a T and she even made it look like satin, which is what the dresses were. They will even make a free 1 year anniversary cake for you if you give them a 5x7 or 8x10 professional photo of your cake! They did a great job arranging the flowers on the cake as well! The cake tasted wonderful! It was moist and delicious and better than I expected! And it was delivered right on time!

We tried 5 other bakers, all more expensive than this one, and Cake Expressions beat them easily. Excellent flavors, great presentation, and a very courteous staff. They even took extra effort to match the color of the ivory fondant and red in the red velvet to match our wedding colors.

Of note: one big area that stood out here is that they mix white chocolate in their fondant icing, which actually makes it taste edible. Was a huge plus over other bakers that make cakes where the fondant is so nasty you have to discard it after the cake is presented...

Cero at Cake Expressions is the best in the business! The tasting was the most fun and easiest wedding planning event we experienced. We had a beautiful three layer cake with each layer a different flavor. Several of our guests came up to me and raved about how awesome the chocolate with butter brickle icing was! Cero was a pleasure and extremely proffesional and timely. I highly recommend him, his work and his cake!

I picked Cake Expressions because they had done my Matron of Honor's cake 5 years before and the cake was so good that people were going back for seconds and even thirds. I had never had spice cake like that in my life, and I'm not a huge "cake" person.

Cero and his team were the best! My husband wanted to be the designer of the cake and Cero worked with him to pick out something that was tasty and delicious! We had a Christmas wedding and the cake looked like a stack of wrapped presents. I loved it. It also had a cake topper of hand done sugared poinsettias (which people thought were real) and a garland of them around the base of the cake. Several guests commented that they had never seen a cake like that before. Everyone ate so much cake that they had to serve out top layer so I went back to them on our first year anniversary for another cake!

Cake Expressions was the preferred vendor of our reception venue - and we are so happy that we went with them! During our tasting, we got to try several of the cake and filling combinations and we would have been happy with many of them. In fact, it was hard to make our final decision! (Some of the cake samples were a bit dry, but Robynne, whom helped us, noted that what we were tasting was just what they had on hand that day.) We ended up going with the Tuxedo and Tiramusi flavors and mousse frosting (which cost extra, but was worth it).
In terms of the design, I provided a picture of a cake I had seen in a magazine and liked, and Cero did an excellent job replicating it. (There are albums of cake designs available to give you ideas, too.) They also let our florist add flowers to the cake to match our decor.
On the day of the wedding, the cake was moist and we received many compliments on it. In fact, there was only a bit leftover to take home - and we enjoyed every bite of it in the days following. I would recommend Cake Expressions and Cero to anyone with cake needs.

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were married four years ago and got their cake from Cake Expressions. I tried their cake a year later (after it had been frozen for a full year) at their first anniversary and thought it tasted amazing! My husband and I decided to go there for our cake tasting and loved several of their samples. We decided to go with their Mango Mousse and it was a crowd pleaser! We wanted a simple design so we agreed on a three-tier cake with a scroll design. The cake frosting was ivory like my dress and the scroll frosting was white, which really make the design pop out. The cake and the dress are two things people never forget and we will never forget our amazing cake from Cero at Cake Expressions!!!

Delicious and friendly

After trying to call them a few times and not hearing back, we finally got in contact with the team and scheduled a tasting for that weekend. Everything was perfect. The cakes were delicious, Cero was very creative and helped us create a menu that would work best for our guests, and we signed the contract on the spot. Looking forward to seeing (and eating) the final cake at our wedding!

We had a travel theme for our wedding and we had Cake Expressions make us a 3-tier cake with an antique map of the world on it. They did a great job of the execution of the map, and it was a truly eye-catching work of art! Our guests raved about how beautiful the cake looked. Once they tasted it, we had so many guests comment on how delicious and moist the cake was, and we couldn't agree with them more! Overall, we were extremely pleased with the cake and the service from Cake Expressions.
My only disappointment is that no one from the bakery called us back after the wedding to check on how the cake turned out.

Cake expressions met us initially by appointment for tasting and consultation. Very friendly, professional and talented team. We changed out order few times and they delivered as promised on time and exactly what we asked for, beautiful wedding cupcakes and we still get compliments on these!!

The cake is on the more expensive side (~$7 per person) but it was exactly what we wanted and very delicious. Bonus is they will make you an anniversary cake if you send them a photo of your cake. No frozen cake for us!

Our cake was perfect. It was yummy and the correct colors. It was delivered on time and everyone I spoke to were very professional. I was able to sit down with my cake maker and talk with her about my cake.

The only thing that concerns me is that I called to find out when my money was due and they had a hard time finding my order.

We changed the flavor and design of our cake last minute. Cake Expressions were able to accommodate all of our needs, and people there were extremely nice to work with. The cake turned out to be really beautiful and was the talk of the party! It tasted great, and we could not ask for more!

Our cake was included with our package from the Historic Del Monte Building where our reception was being held at. We met Cero at Trudy's bridal faire, he was so nice and answered the questions we had. I saw a cake there and knew it was the one!

We scheduled a cake tasting and chose Red Velvet and the Mango Mousse, both were upgrades . In all the cake we wanted was all upgrades (flavors/fondant/decorations (rhinestone banding, etc) but we decided to splurge on it and we are so glad we did.

Everyone raved about the cake! I had some leftover cake 2 days later and it was still amazing!!

Please do not be deterred by responsiveness, Cero is very busy because his cakes are so awesome.
I designed my own cake and was so thrilled about the idea. Cero did not make me feel bad about my idea by changing it completely with his own ideas, nor did he even change anything, all he did was add glitter to make it sparkle. Cero was just as excited about my cake as I was and it showed when it came to the venue. We were so happy we took a picture with him and the wedding party outside the venue.
Each layer was a different flavor, the cupcakes in the cake were different flavors and he even made a menu as to what flavor the cupcakes were. A week later, the cake was still moist. We pushed it all the way to almost 2 weeks where we had to throw out the mango cake because I think he used real mango filling. I love Cero. He did abeautiful job on the grooms cake I also designed. A square cake with a B and cupcakes all around to match all of the Boston teams (he even put the team logos on them)

In general I feel that wedding cakes are way over priced. However, Cake Expressions were reasonably priced and my cake turned out exactly how I envisioned it. They were easy to work with and everyone complimented on how tasty the cake was.

My husband and I hired Cake Expressions for our wedding day and they did not disappoint! We had 3 different cake flavors, they matched our cake with the wedding theme, and were exteremly professional throughout the whole process. They even worked with throwing a surprise addition onto the cake for the groom (a 49er helmet on the side of the cake) and boy was that a hit!

Great looking and tasting cake! Was responsive to changes! Only negative was that a phone call wasn't returned promptly, but when they realized the mistake, the owner contacted me directly which was nice.

Cake expressions did a great job on my cake. I brought in a picture and asked them if they could create it for me. They said they could and they did! The reason they are not getting 5 out of 5 stars is because the cake that was served at the wedding was not the cake we had tasted and decided on. It was also dry and didn't taste as good as it did at our cake tasting. I was a little surprised about this. I would still recommend them and think they did a great job otherwise.

Cero was our first tasting and top choice out of everyone we tried. His salesperson, however, was not very friendly to us & we were really turned off by her. But I'm glad we got over it and we were able to work with Cero directly. Everyone loved our cake, it was gorgeous and tasted amazing.

The cake was beautiful but the color wasn't correct. I was a little disappointed with the color but still happy with the outcome. I had the tuxedo cake with fresh strawberry filling. It was moist and delicious.

In my experience, wedding cakes are usually known for looking beautiful and tasting so-so. What we got was a perfectly decorated cake that tasted delicious. Seriously, people still mention it to us! Cake Expressions was super flexible by modifying one of their fillings for us and by working with a lace/ribbon design I found for our cake. Additionally, they have a great deal where if you bring in an 8x10 of your wedding cake they'll make you a cake for your first anniverary. We can't wait to take advantage of that!

Created a beautiful cake with custom icing decoration. Cake did not taste as good as samples did during initial tasting. Delivery was on time. Reasonably good value for money.

While the cake tastes great, they were not very good about attention to detail or even returning calls. My mother specifically wanted hand piped lace onto the cake in a barely tinted pink color. We paid extra for he cost of the intricate work of course. Unfortunately when the cake arrived it had Hawaiian flowers piped in a bright pink frosting with none if the other decor we had paid for. I personally didn't care as the cake wasn't the point of my wedding day, however it is upsetting to pay extra money for a service and not receive that service. The cake however tasted phenomenal and we had plenty of compliments.

After reading a few reviews and meeting with the owners, I went with Cake Expressions and overall, had a bad experience. My wife and I wanted something more cute than traditional so we went with multi-tiered cupcakes. Our color theme was white and yellow flowers so we asked for the cupcakes to be white cake with white and yellow flowers in butter frosting. Well the cake itself was not what we had sampled as far as taste and more than half of the cupcakes were chocolate, throwing out whole theme off. The flowers on the top had green on them and overall the presentations was not very nice. We ordered about 200 of these cupcakes and at the end of the night we had about 170 left because they did not taste very good at all. Overall we were very disappointed with this vendor. We felt that something as easy as cupcakes could have been done a lot better and at least tasted as good as a Safeway Bakery.
