Patty was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the moment I spoke with her, I knew I wanted her for our special event. I hired Patty to create two cakes for me-a retirement cake for my husband after 31 years of service in the Navy and a 25 year anniversary cake for his law firm. I showed her what I wanted and she nailed it!!!! Not only were the cakes gorgeous, but they tasted soooo good!!! Our guests couldn’t believe how yummy they were. She will be doing our daughter’s wedding cake in December!!! -

This review has been long overdue. I had so much in life going on but it’s been on my mind to leave this review.
I can’t say in enough words how amazing Patty is. She is the sweetest person I know. After meeting her for the first time I never bothered looking elsewhere. I knew she was the perfect one.
I described to her what I wanted and she literally brought my dream cake to life. I ordered a chocolate cake with raspberry center. Perfection is an understatement. Not only did my cake look gorgeous it was so moist, so delicious. Everyone loved it, most of all, we absolutely loved our cake. -

Patty is truly a dream to work with. We met her at an open house event first and very easily scheduled our cake tasting and design appt a few months out (we wanted it further out, she had great availability). When we went to the tasting we were blown away by the amount of truly DELICIOUS flavors for both the cake and the filling. She explained what everything was to us, made suggestions, it was great. She also had a bunch of display cakes in the room and in a book so we could get some inspiration which helped a lot because we had no idea what we wanted lol. By the end of it we knew without a doubt, just by her hand drawn rendering, that we would have the most beautiful cake.
Fast forward to wedding day, she was on time, professional, set up perfectly, and everyone looooved the cake!
I will also add that her communication between the tasting and the wedding was amazing as well! Everything was clearly explained and if there were questions on either end we just got on a call and it was handled!

Amazing Cake!!
Ms. Patty cakes are amazing!! They not only look good but they taste just as good if not better. My husband and I did a taste testing with her for our wedding cake and the experience was amazing. She is very detailed, organized, and professional. If you’re an over the top glam and bling bride like I am, then Cake Designer’s is the way to go! She sketched out a design for our cake right on spot. Her cakes are moist, flavorful, and she offers so many flavors for her cakes and the icing. I would recommend her with no hesitation! Patty at Cake Designers was wonderful to work with! We met with Patty to discuss the design elements we had in mind and she hand drew a design while we taste tested many flavors of cakes, fillings and icing that she had prepared for us. We had tasted many cakes in the area before choosing Cake Designers.... and Patty's cake was the most delicious, moist cake of them all. We were impressed with her care to attention in designing just the right look that matched exactly what we had imagined for our wedding day. Patty is kind, detailed, easy to work with and an amazing baker! The finished product was beautiful and so tasty! We can't wait to enjoy the top tier that we saved for our 1st anniversary - highly recommend Cake Designers! -

I cannot recommend Patty with Cake Designers enough for her amazing work on our wedding cake. From the start, Patty was professional, responsive, and paid close attention to every detail. She was easy to work with and made the process simple and enjoyable, turning our vision into a stunning reality. She also was sure to educate us on how to store our cake in the freezer afterward. We are planning to enjoy it for our 1 yr anniversary!
The cake was truly a masterpiece—beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious. Her skill and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the design.
On the wedding day, the delivery and setup were flawless, taking away any worries and letting us focus on enjoying our special day.

I met Patty at a wedding expo in Jan 2024. Her wedding cake designs were so beautiful and intricate. When I tasted the first piece of cake, I had to go back for more. I planned my wedding in 5 months. I decided a month before that I wanted a nice cake. I met Patty in August of 2023 at a bridal expo. Luckily, I found her card when it was time to pick someone to make our wedding cake. Setting up the consultation was easy. I loved that Patty was local because it made fitting in the consultation into my day super easy. The tasting was so much fun. I loved mixing all the fillings with the different cakes. It was so hard to narrow down because everything tasted so good. We decided on a 3 tier cake with butter cream icing. Each tier was a different flavor. The first tier was vanilla cake with a guava filling. The second tier was almond cake with a dulce de leche filling and the top tier was red velvet cake with coconut cream filling. The cake tasted even better the day of the wedding. It was so moist and delicious. All our guests wanted seconds. Thank you, Patty, for being part of our special day. -

Beautiful cake and accessories
Patty did an incredible job creating a beautiful cake for my daughter's wedding. The detailing was classy and elegant. The light up platform holding the cake was spectacular. And the see through tube that held flowers separating the top tier made it very special. I was concerned about it looking diminutive on the large stage, but it was a beautiful focal point with the flower arch behind it. -

Best cake designer EVER
Everything from start to finish was just perfect with Patty! She really made sure to get to know us as a couple when we did our first meet up and went to do the tasting! In the end the cake was absolutely beautiful and was so moist, we had so many friends and family come up to us or texted us and tell us they don't really like cake especially wedding cake but ours was fantastic and they had seconds. 100% recommended cake Designers by Patty for your next event! -

Patty made us a cake during a Hurricane and delivered it on-time!
Patty made us a gorgeous cake in the midst of a hurricane! Patty was a professional, prepared with generators and plans to address the impacts from Hurricane Milton. She even made a special flavor for our tasting and the wedding day. She specializes is bling cakes, but was able to make me the simple non-bling cake that I wanted, decorated in orchids and roses. Patty is very intense about her cakes. Trust the process and she will give you something even better than you could have imagined. Thank you Patty! -

Pat makes the tastiest cake with amazing flavor. Still dreaming of my raspberry filling. I got married 10 years ago and I was able to wrap and preserve the top layer for FOUR year after my wedding in 2013. It tasted just as good as that magical day she delivered. -

Best cake!!
Patty is phenomenal!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience or better tasting cake. We met Patty at a bridal expo and once we tried her cake we knew she was the one. My husband LOATHES cake and we weren't even sure we wanted to get one because of that. But once he had a tasting with Patty he couldn't stop talking about it. We got the lemon cake with raspberry filling and on our wedding day my husband actually ate a whole piece! All of our guests also raved about it and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Patty is the absolute best person to work with! -

Party is an absolutely wonderful person and somehow an even better baker! She also has a little team of past brides that help her out - the ones I met were so sweet.
We had a three tier cake with a different flavor in cake and filling for the center tier than the bottom and top. And there were sooo many options to choose from!
I know Patty’s thing is bling and she does it awesomely - but if bling isn’t your thing , don’t worry! She’s got you too! We had our cake just dusted in glitter for our boho wedding. We had little figurines of our cats and our feisty dog (who was positioned to look like he just took a bite of cake hehe). It sat on a pretty tree stump cake base that Patty loaned us and we had greenery around the bottom.
Anyway - hire Cake Designers! You’ll love the team and your cake! -

I have a lot I can write. My cake tasting was booked last minute- while Patty's husband was in the hospital awaiting heart surgery in April. That didn't stop him from taking time to book our tasting before my mom drove back to PA. The attention to detail during the tasting was amazing. Patty will never forget us as my daughter peed through her diaper LOL and left a puddle on me and the floor!! Fast forward to just 3wks before my wedding I found out Terry was not doing well with Covid Pneumonia and likely needed a miracle. My family and I prayed for a recovery. I then days later realized this could mean no wedding cake for my big day... not sure why I thought that after all this is Patty and Cake Designers and she is nothing short of AMAZING... her baking is her passion and she pours her heart and soul into what she does. My cake was delicious and amazing my guests loved it there wasn't a crumb left! It was beautiful and just as perfect as can be! Her caring heart and warm presence is just so touching when you work with her. I stopped by her home the day after the wedding and had a long conversation with her- that is just the type of person she is! You might find it hard to pick cake fillings because they are alllllll so delicious and you also might find it hard to pull yourself from a warm heartfelt conversation with Patty! I would recommend Cake Designers to everyone! From the time we first met her we knew she would be DESIGNING our cake!!! -

Mrs. Pat was very easy to work with and accommodating. She took care of every detail and was able to make the process very smooth. We created and designed our cake from scratch and for a long time it was just in our imagination and in a piece of paper. On the day of our wedding we could not believe the masterpiece in front of us. It was better than the picture, better than our imagination, it was perfection. Patty is an incredibly talented, warm, and wonderful person. I first met her at the Orlando Bridal Expo over a year before my wedding and made an appointment for a consultation because she was offering a deal. It was perhaps the luckiest find I had throughout the entire wedding planning process.
In our *free* consultation, Patty sat with me for over TWO HOURS hashing out every detail, taking my vaguely conceived notions of what I wanted and turning it into a detailed sketch. She didn't charge me for all that time, probably because she knew I wouldn't find anyone better than her anywhere else.
Quite some time passed before I finally got to see my cake in-person. It was the talk of the event! I couldn't believe how she was able to turn my 'um's and 'maybe's and 'what if's into a work of art. Our cake was two-sided and Patty lent us her spinning display base at no additional charge (just a deposit to make sure she got it back). My husband, who couldn't have cared less about the cake before, was absolutely amazed. Patty also took care of the delivery and set-up, coordinating with the venue and florist so I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the event.
On top of all that, it was delicious and tasted like it had been baked that morning (which, of course, is not possible). We're both struggling to wait to eat the rest on our anniversary because we are both craving that red velvet right NOW!
The price was reasonable - not the cheapest cake on the block, but honestly Patty could get away with charging double or triple what she does. Get your cake from her while you still can, before she's carted off to Hollywood!
All around, thank you so much Patty. You really listened to me and gave my husband and me a cake that we will remember forever.
Brides in the Orlando area - Whether you're wanting something on the traditional side or something wild/unique/fun, I can't recommend Patty enough. -

Patty and Cake Designers may be all about the bling with their cakes, but she executed the more simple design that we wanted PERFECTLY. We sampled the Raspberry Irish Cream cake a wedding expo and it was game over from there; hands down the MOST delicious cake I have ever eaten in my life!
Patty herself is such a sweet lady and was always very prompt and professional with communication. I can’t wait until our one year anniversary so I can dive into that cake again! -

Best cake ever!
Patty and her husband were amazing. They helped me find the perfect design for me decor and venue and made it come alive. Multiple flavors, fillings and icing to choose from. Made a lace design on my bottom layer to match my dress. They helped decorate the dessert table and were very accommodating when I changed my date. I highly recommend this company not only for weddings but any special occasion! I will be using them again in the future for any special occasion -

I would highly recommend this company.. here's why.. so this is my first wedding (AND LAST).. and on top of that I'm planning it all for my queen. We'd been together 8 years and I've been doing recon work the entire time (slowly collecting all the things she love and would want when we get married). It's now go time!! She had no idea about anything really but I decided to include her on deciding on the cake. We went to the cake tasting at about 11 and oh my.. was Patti organized, patient, accommodating and a huge help. She had it all laid out.. types of cakes, types of fillings, types of icing.. and we ended up selecting the combination we loved. She entered it all in the system and while I waited we just started talking. She introduced me to her husband Terry and they are so easy to talk to.. we ended up chatting and connecting. Soooo 4 hours later... any way... Reception day came and I hadn't seen the cake since the day of design... My wife and I were absolutely blown away at how precise things turned out... and HOW GREAT THE CAKE TASTED!!! Our guests loved every bit of it and THERE WAS NOT ONE PIECE LEFT! They even tried to take the one we set aside for us! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cake Designers!! -

We loved our 3 tier cake. We explained what we wanted and the day of the wedding our expectations were exceeded. My cake was beautiful and it tasted delicious. Everybody loved my cake because it was perfect, not too sweet. Some people had 3 slices! They are very professional and will bring your vision to life. Highly recommend. -

Wedding Cake was absolutely stunning!
From the moment I met Patty, I knew she was not just another cake baker. She is an experienced, caring person who made my daughters wedding cake vision a reality. The cake turned out exactly how my daughter envisioned and was just as moist as the samples we had at our cake tasting appointment. Patty even made sure the cake was set up in the right location on the cake table with the perfect background so the bride and groom would have the best possible pictures! The cake was absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend Cake Designers for your special cake. You won’t be disappointed! -

It’s really hard to put into words just how great my experience was working with Patty Ames Cake Designers. My decorator/florist, who has obviously worked on many weddings before, could not stop raving about how beautiful my wedding cake was and how amazing it tasted. He even went as far as saying that the cake I had for my wedding was by far the most gorgeous cake he has ever seen and quite honestly, I could not agree more.
From the moment I began working with Patty, she was very well organized and so professional. At a very reasonable price I bought a 5 tier wedding cake with 4 additional 8in round cakes, all of which had different flavors and different designs. I had a red velvet cake with chocolate chips and cream cheese filling, raspberry Irish cream cake with Guava filling, amaretto cake with pineapple filling, chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling, and then a marble cake with raspberry filling. I love cake so I made sure to taste each of them and I can’t complain about any. They were all incredible and tasted so fresh!! As far as design, Patty really took her time when designing my cake because it was seriously so neat and beautiful! The details were everything with this cake! I HIGHLY recommend Cake Designers. I plan to return back to Patty with any other events I may have that I need a cake for. Seriously, it’s that good! -

Incredible experience.
Patty and Terry are not only very professional and courteous, but they sure do know what they are doing. It all started with a wonderful consultation that went over our vision. Different cakes, cake flavors, frostings, and icings were laid out for us to try, and Patty literally drew our cake for us and broke everything down. We could not believe our eyes when we saw how beautiful our wedding cake was. It shined, looked good, smelled good, and even our venue servers stated they’ve never seen a cake so beautiful. Out of everything we offered at our wedding, the cake definitely stole the show.We will definitely be doing business with Patty again!!!! Thanks again guys. -

First off Patty was very welcoming from the start of the whole process. When we went to our tasting Patty had a very nice display of cake looks that she does. In the beginning I had a simply naked cake in mind. After looking at her cakes I decided to order an entire different cake than what I had in mind. During the tasting she was detailed, she took her time with us. Every single thing that we sampled was so amazing. Last minute we needed to order cupcakes due to a higher turnout than we had planned and my mother in law called Patty and she made cupcakes without question. My cake was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen in my life.
I would definitely go back to her for a cake for any event. Thank you Patty for an amazing job. -

Words can not express how truly amazing working with Patty was. From start to finish her professional approach was amazing. On the day of my wedding my cake arrived and i could not have been more thrilled by its beauty it was more that I could have wished for. A work of art is an understatement. Best Tasting Cake from the Nicest Bakers!!
Patty and her husband were amazing to work with! Not only did they help us design our dream wedding cake, they are extremely creative in the flavors they offer. Their cakes are absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and never tasted dried out! They are also extremely reasonable from a pricing perspective so I HIGHLY recommend booking them for your wedding!! -

Gorgeous Cake!
Patty at Cake Designers was recommended to my husband and I by our wedding planner. We were told that she has a fabulous Amaretto cake and that we should book an appointment with her to do a cake tasting. After our cake tasting, we were sold on the Amaretto cake with the pineapple filling. Patty sat with us and asked us every detail you could imagine. On our wedding day, the cake arrived on time, with not one frosted detail out of place. The cake was exactly what I envisioned and it tasted wonderful as well. I would absolutely recommend Cake Designers to any bride and groom. Wedding date 1/19/19. -
