Bev is sweet, professional, easy-going and so pleasant to work with. We had a great experience working with her on our wedding cake. She is generous with her tastings and was fantastic in implementing our preferences on sweetness levels and design/style. The result was beautiful and delicious. Thank you, Bev! -

Bev is amazing and so easy to work with. She provided me with options and photos to help select a design which would fit our wedding.
We had a small two layer cake and cupcakes which were all delish and beautiful. -

Bev is incredible! Not only is she the kindest woman, her cakes are mouthwatering. I worked in the industry so I've eaten a lot of cakes so the second I got engaged I knew I was going to have Bev make my cake. It was beautiful and delicious we didn't even have any leftovers because our guests enjoyed it so much! -

Bev was amazing to work with! After talking to her for the first 5 minutes, we knew we were going to hire her! I mean, how could you not? She does only 1 wedding cake per day, endless sample cakes by request and the price is affordable! We love her as a person too; very honest, wholesome and the sweet. People who don’t eat cake ate our wedding cake! -

Bev will make all of your wedding cake dreams come true without compromising on the taste. We were definitely more concerned about having a wedding cake that our guests would enjoy and I was especially looking for a couple layers with a funfetti cake (eek!!). Bev it completely open to fun ideas, and helps recommend some of her own - which we appreciated. She's easy to get in contact with, very simple to set up a meeting with as she is very accommodating. Even when my mom wanted to taste an almond flavor, Bev met us a couple weeks later to let us taste a different flavor. She did a great job incorporating the homemade gold flowers my mom made into her greenery - and the cake came out perfect. We can't wait to eat some of her cake in a year!

She is so wonderful to work with and truly cares about her clients, and not to mention she makes the BEST CAKES EVER. I have eaten many cakes in my life and nothing is as good as a Cake Creation by Bev. She created the most gorgeous, and delicious, wedding cake for us. We chose to not preserve the top tier of our cake to save for our 1st wedding anniversary because it was way too good to wait to eat. We instead chose to eat it the day after our wedding! : Our wedding cake was funfetti (bottom tier) and vanilla with vanilla pudding (top tier). We had sheet cakes of funfetti, marble, and vanilla with vanilla pudding. Many of our guests raved about her cakes and we were told most of them had more than one piece. Bev used the flowers from our florist to arrange on our cake and we were blown away at how beautiful everything turned out. You will be extremely happy if you choose to work with Bev. My husband and I still talk about how good the cake at our wedding was, and we can't wait to work with her again in the future. Thanks, Bev!

User2036346 Sent on 02/10/2015Bev's cakes are amazing! I am so happy I chose Bev to make our wedding cake and can't wait until the wedding day to have some. Bev is very accommodating with her tastings and provided us a few small cakes so we could see different decorating styles and taste different flavors. Her buttercream frosting (she doesn't do fondant) is the best I have ever had, all 7 people who participated in our many tastings agreed. Her personality and responsiveness can't be beat either. Since we booked her to make our wedding cake we have also used Bev to make a cake for my in-laws 70th birthday! All the cakes we tried are amazing but the red velvet and vanilla with banana were our favorites! Her prices are also very very reasonable. I am so happy we chose Bev and I can't imagine ever getting a cake from anyone else. -
User1033376 Sent on 12/02/2012I am so thrilled I had Bev make my cake for my wedding. She did a marvelous job, and it looked beautiful! She was very professional and timely in all of our communication, and very accommodating. I had a specific design that I wanted on the cake, and I sketched it out and emailed it to her - she recreated the exact design on my cake. I didn't have to "baby-sit" her, and keep following up. Everything was so easy with her. She gave us mini cakes for sample cakes when we were deciding what we wanted - it was great because we got to share it with our families later and see what they liked too, instead of just sampling a few bites. She is also VERY affordable, which makes everything nicer :]

Jody Sent on 03/15/2013We found Bev Tanaka using Yelp reviews and we weren't disappointed. She was initially booked on our wedding date but the bride ended up having to move her wedding day (yay for us!). Our first meeting included a general idea of what we wanted, flavors, size, and two freshly baked cakes for us to take home and sample. My husband ate himself halfway through one of them on the car ride home - it was that good. Her cakes themselves are delicious, your guests will love every bite.
You do need to know that she doesn't work with fondant. If you want an elaborate fondant design, go elsewhere. She can, however, work magic with butter cream. Our cake had beautiful swirls on every layer, and then garden roses and orchids stuffed in between the tiers.
In addition to baking a stunning and delicious cake, Bev lets you borrow her silver cakestand, she delivers the cake and then picks up the cakestand the next day from the facility. We were very happy with Bev and highly recommend her. -

Renee Sent on 10/08/2012When we got engaged, we thought we already knew who would make our cake. We went to a vendor showcase at the Palm Event Center and there were bakers everywhere. I didn't really want to taste anything because like I said I already new, or so I thought, who was making our cake. My now husband, spotted Bev's table grabbed a cupcake and with a full mouth said, "Babe you gotta taste this cake!" I was hooked from that moment on. Bev is so absolutely sweet which made it even easier to choose her for our wedding cake. I walked in the venue and saw the cake being set up. It was so beautiful I instantly got emotional. Then later when I got to taste it it was like a little slice of homemade heaven. Bev is excellent with her response times in answering any questions you may have. I can't wait to have another big event to have a reason to order another cake.
