This was the easiest vendor to hire and work with for our wedding! They were great from our tasting to the wedding day with communication and flexibility! Our cakes were delicious and I am so glad we chose them for our day! -

Look at our cake! Just Amazing!
I searched and searched for a place to make a specific cake I had in mind. I, of course, found my cake inspiration from Pinterest. I fell in love with it and it was perfect for our theme. I reached out to tons of bakeries requesting my specific design and many have turned me down. Cake Anatomy assured me they could make it happen and they delivered! We were thrilled! And honestly didn’t want to cut into the masterpiece. We did, however, and loved every bite! We also purchased cupcakes and were thrilled with those as well. Our guests loved the flavors. We had many guests approach us and ask what bakery we used and we were more and pleased to give them the information. We were also pleasantly surprised in the affordable price compared to many bakeries! Thank you Cake Anatomy for making our day so special! -

Cake consultation
We met with Dawn for our cake consultation and she is just amazing! Very friendly and really listens to what you would like for your cake. She did not charge for cake tasting, which was not the case for other bakeries we went to. Did I mention ALL six flavors we tried were to die for! And so is her buttercream frosting. Yum! -

Our experience with Dawn was amazing! After our cake testing we actually ordered our sons birthday cake from her as well! Best cake I've ever had and our guests loved it too because there wasn't a single piece left! She was awesome to work with and very responsive right away! Would recommend her to anyone! -

Dawn at Cake Anatomy was great to work with and she really tried to make our vision a reality. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better. We had flavors like chocolate decadence and mixed berry, and some of our guests said it was the best Wedding Cake they had ever had. We cannot wait to work with Dawn again for another occasion and get another cake . Her buttercream frosting is second to none -

Our cake and cupcakes were amazing!! So many compliments on them. Dawn was a pleasure to work with. I am beyond pleased with the work she did. Everyone asked us where our cupcakes and cake were from. Dawn is great to work with. My husband and I set up a meeting/cake tasting, and she had lots of different flavors for us to try (which were all delicious!). We ended up going with chocolate indulgence, confetti and strawberry swirl. They go perfectly with her homemade buttercream frosting. All of our guests loved the cake. And it was beautiful, too :) -

Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful! We received many compliments from our guests on the creativity and attention to detail that went into it. Dawn was very accommodating and easy to work with. My family has gotten cakes from Cake Anatomy for several occasions in the past and have always been very happy. The cake and frosting are delicious. -

We came to Cake Anatomy with very little notice and a very specific request for a custom cake. Not only did she come through on time but the cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we were looking for!

Dawn is AMAZING! Cakes are delicious, beautiful and get compliment after compliment. I have gotten cakes here for years (she has made every crazy idea in my head come to life) and I knew she was the ONLY choice for our wedding. There's nothing she can't do. You need her to make your cake. Period. -

I had heard and read good things about Cake Anatomy so I felt confident that I would get a good cake. Was not disappointed! I went to a Wedding Expo earlier in the year and there were plenty of cake samples to be had. Most of them were good looking on the outside, but tasted like spongy box cake garbage on the inside, and the frosting was no good. Out of dozens of cake samples, Cake Anatomy actually stood out in my memory as the best one.
The in-shop samples were delicious and we dipped each bite in frosting. Dawn told us about her history in the wedding planning biz and that many vendors do, indeed, use box mix and crappy shortening frosting, and just put all their energy into making it look pretty. Her cake is dense and tasty and the frosting is genuine buttercream. (She asked if it's okay that the cake is off-white because of the real butter - uh, yes please!!)
The finished product was beautiful and the color matched my theme perfectly! It was beautiful on the outside but even better on the inside, Each layer was a different flavor, and all were exquisite! I got SO many compliments from my guests!
You can't go wrong! The price is reasonable and the finished product is SO worth it! -

I highly recommend Cake Anatomy to anyone!! Dawn the owner was great to work with, and had amazing design ideas. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted going into our finalization meeting, but leaving I left very confident and super excited! She was very helpful, and answered all my questions. The cake tasted amazing and was super moist! Everyone raved about the home made butter cream! We had no cake left! We also had an amazing desert bar that all our guest LOVED! Dawn at Cake Anatomy defiantly went above and beyond for my husband and I and we couldn’t be happier with her services! -

Dawn at Cake Anatomy was extremely helpful in selecting our wedding cake, as well as other helpful tips (i.e. when to cut our cake). Our wedding cake looked wonderful and tasted great too! We received many compliments from our guests on the wedding cake.
Also, when it came to our cake delivery and cake table presentation, we had nothing to think about as Cake Anatomy handled everything for us, making it very easy on us on our special day. -

After doing a lot of research on local wedding cake vendors, my fiance and I had narrowed down our favorites to two. Once we met with Dawn and ate the cake (and the frosting!!!), we knew Cake Anatomy was the one! Dawn is a true professional. She's worked in the wedding industry for a long time so she just gets it. The process was very smooth and she kindly guided us through it. With some of my other vendors, I felt like I had to be the one to lead the way and stay on top of things. I definitely didn't feel that way with Dawn.
Obviously, the most important part was the CAKE. And it was delicious. My favorites were rum and confetti. I would also eat the frosting straight out of a bowl if I could. Very very good! I like that she doesn't work with fondant. I'm not a huge fan of it. Dawn can do wonders with the butter cream frosting! -

Dawn made the most beautiful cake for our wedding last January! We met with her a few months before our big day and she greeted us with a plate full of cake and buttercream for us to sample. She even wrapped up the leftovers for us to take home! That had my husband sold immediately! Her cake flavors and buttercream are simply scrumptious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Dawn sat down with the two of us and looked at photos that I had printed off. She understood exactly what I wanted. She was able to take elements from the cakes that I had shown her and we sketched out what I wanted. She had some leftover birch ribbon from another wedding that made our cake super special! She also worked with our florist to get the perfect flowers for our cake as well!
A couple weeks before our wedding, I dropped a bomb on Dawn, I wanted her to recreate my husband's cowboy hat in cake. I took photos from every angle imaginable and sent them to her, along with some buffalo head nickles. She was able to make it look so much like it that many people thought he had left his hat laying by the wedding cake! Our wedding coordinator actually thought it was a prop hat for the photo booth! Dawn made our wedding simply unforgettable! The cakes were amazing and she was a pleasure to work with! -

Dawn with Cake Anatomy is hands down THE BEST! She made our wedding cake in 2009 and we were absolutely blown away by the look and taste of the cake! So much so that we have hired her to make other cakes for us over the years, including my husband's 30th birthday cake and all 3 of our son's birthday cakes. She always works with us (over the phone and via emails back and forth) to get things exactly how we want them, from flavors to colors and designs of the cakes. Everyone always raves about how beautiful and delicious her creations are. A cake from Cake Anatomy is so much more than just a cake - it is an experience that is remembered for years to come. We are so thrilled to have found her and are so thankful for her incredible talent and skill, not to mention her painstaking attention to every little last detail. Her buttercream frosting (which looks like fondant but tastes a million times better) is out of this world! Her cakes are moist and delicious - sweet but not sickeningly so. Dawn - we cannot thank you enough for all you have done to make these special events in our lives all the more memorable and festive! You are AWESOME! -

Dawn not only makes beautiful cakes but it is also some of the best cake I have ever tasted. She worked with me to best understand what my vision was and made it happen above and beyond my original expectations. Her prices were fair and I would say probably more than fair based on the quality of the service and product. My husband and I requested a unique groom's cake that she had not done before but it turned out perfect! -

Provided our wedding with Cake and Desserts, Most amazing looking and tasting cake we have ever had. Ever meeting we had was very productive and she nailed what we envisioned to a T, while helping us make a beautiful design.
Desserts were very good, friends and family are still raving about how great things tasted and looked! The real butter cream frosting tasted so much better then an fondant from other places we tasted, while still providing the amazing smooth look!

Cake Anatomy made our dream wedding cake! We went in with no idea of what we wanted as a wedding cake! She talked to us about our interests and any ideas that we had. Our cake ended up being a doubled sided, four tier, four flavor, Harley Davidson, western cake! It was absolutely amazing! They completely outdid themselves! They also brought bars to go along with it for those that did not like cake! They are amazing artists and I can not thank them enough for all the hard work that was put in to our cake! -

Dawn was so great to work with. The cake for our wedding was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted. All of our guests thought the cake tasted amazing! Dawn was also very flexible about adjusting the number of pieces in less than a month before the wedding. We had about 200 pieces of cake. I recommended her to a family friend who is also now having her wedding caked done with Cake Anatomy. -

We were married last weekend and we are still getting compliments on the cake. So many different flavors to choose from, but you cant go wrong with any. Dawn was super easy to work with and listened to what we wanted. The cake was beautiful and frosting is to die for. Will continue going to Cake Anatomy for special event cakes, or just for fun! -

Dawn was fantastic with working with us to have what we wanted for our wedding cake, even though it was smaller than her average wedding cake order. I came to Dawn with a picture of a cake I liked and ours turned out just as I pictured. Not only did it look good, but it tasted divine! Our cake was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what I wanted! It was even better than the pinterest picture I brought in! It looked amazing and tasted even better :) The cake was more amazing than I ever could of imagined! We planned on putting some out with pizza at 10, but all the flavors tasted so well that we ended up going through all our cake at dinner because people took more than one slice! It was simply perfect. -

Our wedding cake was so beautiful and delicious and working with Dawn was a breeze. We showed her a few photos of what we were thinking, and she delivered exactly what we were looking for.
Dawn makes real buttercream--and her cakes are super moist. You can definitely taste the difference. We ordered a 6 tier cake--enough for over 350 guests, when we only had 280. We were supposed to serve the leftover cake at our gift opening the next morning, but the entire cake was gone.
We don't think we can wait until our anniversary to have this cake again, so we'll be looking for an excuse soon to order some cupcakes from Cake Anatomy :) -

We just got married September 14th and we checked out a lot of cake places. Cake Anatomy was by far the best we met with. Dawn was so great to work with, she was able to take a picture I found on Pinterest and create the same cake it looked amazing!!! My husband and I absolutely loved it, the cake looked beautiful and we were able to have 4 different flavors!! Dawn worked great with our floral vendor to get the flowers I wanted for the cake! Cake Anatomy was so accommodating to all of our needs and changes that came about. I would most definitely recommend Cake Anatomy to everyone! -

I had my heart set on cupcake bouquet centerpieces, but every bakery I visited tried to talk me out of it...Until I met Dawn! She was very excited to try something new, and the results were EXACTLY as I had envisioned. She did an amazing job making my ideas come to life. Dawn at Cake Anatomy was wonderful to work with. We had cupcakes for our wedding and then a 2 tiered cake for us to cut. We brought in a picture of what we wanted everything to look like and she was very accommodating. The cake was wonderful- very moist and delicious. She made decorations for each of the cupcakes that they were perfect. -

We had such a great time working with Cake Anatomy. They were so professional, and their cupcakes were the best. Our guests complimented how great all of the cupcakes looked on our displays and how great they were. The crew at Cake Anatomy helped us fulfill our dream wedding. We used antique cake plates to display the cupcakes and Dawn made them look so beautiful with the fabric and lights. Cake Anatomy also built a Bride and Groom cake for us. We shared it with the Mother-of-the-Bride, and she said it was the BEST Red Velvet cake she had tasted in her entire life. We have since gotten a Birthday cake, which I ordered last minute, but Dawn made it happen. We could not have been happier with Cake Anatomy. Best decision for our wedding cake. There is no other option. -

Dawn was such a pleasure to work with. When discussing what my cake would look like she really listened to what I wanted and suggested some really creative ideas. She worked wonderfully with my florist and they coordinated everything to do with my cake flowers. The day of my wedding my husband and I could not have been happier with how our cake looked. It was gorgeous, exactly what we envisioned. We were also so happy with how the cake tasted. We choose chocolate chocolate chip and raspberry swirl as our flavors and they were a huge hit! Our families loved them. I highly recommend Dawn! -

Cake Anatomy was phenomenal! Not only was the cake delicious, but the service was great every step of the way. The owner was also super forgiving about a miscommunication about the payment (which was totally our fault). Excellent all around, and there wasn't a piece of cake left! -

The service was great, from the first time we walked in, to planning out the cake, options, flavors, designs, to the delivery, everything was perfect. They were very easy to work with, accommodating, and show us some great trendy and traditional options that other cake place did not show us. During our initial appointment, folks were coming in the store to pick up orders. Almost every person commented that we picked the right place for our cake because it was the best.
They didn't stear us wrong. The cake is very moist and delicious. The buttercream was outstanding. The cakes matched our style and the owner also accomodated to our weird cake toppers :o) -

Cake Anatomy make beautiful and delicious cakes. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome of our cake's design and flavor. Upon initially tasting the available flavors, it was really hard to choose (they were all SO good). Also, Cake Anatomy offers a buttercream frosting that has the look of fondant without the horrible fondant taste. Her buttercream frosting is amazing! My only complaint would be that we were told she would only be booking 3-4 other weddings on our wedding day but then ended up having 10. Needless to say, I think the quality of service and our cake suffered. The bottom layer of our cake was really soggy and wet. Also, a few weeks before the wedding upon of final meeting she lost the ribbon and cake topper we had purchased and given her in advance, per her request. She then continued to argue about not having received it, while moments later it "turned up" in her back room. It was a little bit frustrating to be blamed for their disorganized mistake. -

Dawn at Cake Anatomy was great! She worked with me over the phone since we were planning our wedding from out of state. She also was great about the fact I was pretty late in the stage when contacting her...only months before the wedding! She was nice about it and did what she could to get me in. I contacted two other cake venues to have phone "interviews" with us. One venue didn't take my call for the meeting, another venue didn't even remember who I was or what I was calling for! Dawn was organized, remembered me, and was very professional, and kept me calm. Without ever personally meeting Dawn or the Cake Anatomy team, I was very pleased with the outcome. The cakes looked amazing! (I got a grooms cake too! :)) Thanks Cake Anatomy! I would recommend you to any family or friends...or strangers! :) -

Overall our cake turned out to be everything that we wanted, although we did have some difficulties along the way. Maybe I've just watched to many episodes of the cake boss, but when I signed the contract I just expected our cake to be taken care of. I tell them what I want and they make it happen. I was wrong. I found out on our final meeting that I needed to provide the detailing that we wanted to put around each layer of the cake. This turned out to be an added expense that I hadn't planned for in addition to me someone who has no experience in cake decorating needing to go out and find the supplies. In the end I was able to find everything, but it just added stress to an already stressful time. -

The cake was absolutely delicious! This is the main reason we picked Cake Anatomy -- their cake is out of this world. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the design of my cake. When it showed up, it was a plain white cake with none of the detail that was discussed or like the picture showed. If fake floral wasn't going to be provided by Cake Anatomy, I wish someone would have told me that I needed to provide it. However, at the end of the day, the cake served it's purpose and gave a lot of people very happy stomachs. -

We chose Cake Anatomy because their cakes were the best we had tasted. The frosting was what made the difference and we were not disappointed on our wedding day! We did have some communication issues before the wedding (which isn’t good when you’re a worrier like myself), but everything worked out in the end. Our cake looked amazing and tasted even better! -

Dawn is an incredible baker and made the most delicious cakes for my wedding, but the way she runs her business is extremely frustrating. It was almost impossible to get ahold of her, no regular business hours, she tried charging me for cake I didn't need, and requires cash if you pay within two weeks of the event (literally the only vender that did that). I will not be ordering from her again which is sad because I was planning on ordering our anniversary cakes in the future. I hope that she can find someone to run the business side of her bakery because she really is a fantastic baker. Lots of compliments from guests on how great her cake tasted. -
