Mike Carroll did such an incredible job. Going into the wedding we we're looking for both a great DJ and professional MC, someone who not only could set the right mood and vibe for all the different windows of the wedding, but also could effectively direct and create a smooth environment for all of our guest. Mike was clear in his communication, was always available whenever we needed him, and everything went perfectly. Mike was aware to all the details that could cause slip ups on a wedding day, and nailed it all, correctly pronounced every name, played the right songs at the right time, knew when to the let the room breath, knew when to inject energy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend for any future weddings or events! -

Mike was the DJ and MC for our ceremony and reception, he provided up-lighting, and a photobooth and we truly could not have asked for a better person to have done those jobs! From our first meeting with Mike we could tell he had a chill personality and a great passion and knowledge of music and all things weddings. On our meeting before our wedding, we met with Mike over zoom for over an hour and he made us feel less stressed about the overall wedding planning as he was able to answer questions we had about the timeline, processional order, and song selections for every part of the day. He also did not rush to get off the meeting, he took his time to ensure he understood what we had envisioned for the day and that he would be able to help make sure our wedding vision came to fruition. We also asked him to pick the first and last song of the day and he was excited to do so (spoiler alert, he picked a great one). The day of, working with Mike seemed like working with an old friend. He was very chill and remembered everything we envisioned. He was also a great protector of the timeline and kept things moving and was able to make great suggestions when things started to run late. Mike did an amazing job keeping the guests attention and stepping aside to make sure the attention was on my husband and I. Mike also did a terrific job of reading the room and playing the right songs to keep the most amount of guests dancing and also stuck to our song requests on the do not play list, the must play list, and our favorite genres. Additionally the lighting and photobooth were very professional. Lastly, after our wedding we received numerous compliments for the DJ and dancing. Numerous guests told us this was their favorite wedding and we attribute a lot of that to Mike.
In conclusion, TLDR; book with Mike if you want to sleep easy knowing you will have a DJ who will play the songs you and your partner love, songs your guests will love, and who will be a timeline and wedding vision advocate for you. Book with Mike if you want to work with someone who will go above and beyond, not because he has to, but because he wants to. Book with Mike if you want the best DJ/MC in Southern California for an affordable price. -

Mike is great. From the get-go, he was knowledgable, excited and so easy to work with. I'm a bit of a control freak, and he totally rolled with it, answered all my questions and kept secrets from me very discreetly. :)
The music was great all night, he read the crowd well, let my dad have the mic when he asked for it (lol) and helped the entire night flow perfectly.
The ONLY thing I would want other couples to know ahead of time is that he keeps it classy and won't play any songs with swear words. -

Mike is a master at this craft! Although my husband and I aren’t much of the dancers he really kept the party alive for both our talkative guests and our dancing ones. He blended both our tastes in music plus the occasional requests from our guests so seamlessly. For the most part we picked our main songs but we left our East Coast slow dance song up to him. He surprised us at the end of our first dance by picking a song for it we both did consider as a first dance song but how he knew that blows both our mind! Not only was it in consideration but it also had some meaning to us as it was a song we danced to in the kitchen the day I met his entire family. We only spoke once on the phone and we both just knew we would enjoy ourselves. He’s an absolutely fantastic DJ and MC and we truly enjoyed having him apart of our day! We truly can't thank him enough for the amazing job he did! -

We are so happy we had Mike Emcee our wedding at Mount Palomar in May! He was super easy to work with, we provided the timeline and the major event songs (which he helped provide suggestions for) and told him to just play to the crowd for the whole cocktail/reception time. He brought great energy and kept the guests dancing all night. I only had one song I for sure wanted played during the reception, and when we saw I got stuck taking some photos with guests during it, he started it over for me to fully enjoy. Thanks Mike!! -

Mike was our DJ for our wedding at paradise falls on May 24 2019 and he was AWESOME! My husband and I as well as all of our guests loved the music. He had everyone dancing all night long. He asked us what we wanted, we gave him our music types and some songs that we definitely wanted played and he took it from their and we got exactly what we wanted. Everyone was pleased that night and there were people on the dance floor all night long. We loved it! -

Mike made the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception move smoothly and provided quality music the entire night, while creating an atmosphere where nobody wanted to leave the dance floor. Plus adding the photobooth was also really cool and having our initials shown on the dance floor and the trees near the reception was also really cool. Thank you for making our wedding one to remember. It was truly the best night ever.

Kimberlee Sent on 01/03/2018C Squared Events was absolutely amazing. We had them DJ our wedding and used their photo booth. I have been to a lot of weddings and I can truly say they were the best I’ve ever seen. People danced at our wedding (including myself) the whole entire night! Mike really made such a difference at our wedding and I would highly recommend him to EVERYONE! He played great songs and got everyone to get on the dance floor. We also used their photo booth service which was GREAT! They have someone there the whole time taking your pictures. The guests get a printed out picture and can also have it emailed to them, which I though was such a great bonus. At the end of the night they give you a USB with every picture on it also! Overall, I would highly recommend using them for your wedding. You will not regret it!

I had been planning my wedding playlist since high school, it was so important to me that the music be perfect at our wedding ceremony and reception. I had a vision and C Squared totally got me. I was able to use every song I wanted for all the events of the day, from walking down the aisle to Bright Eyes to playing Ja Rule while the bridal party was introduced, nothing was a problem for them to play! Everyone's biggest compliment of the night was the music, and I never saw the dance floor empty. I have the best memories of dancing to exactly the kind of music vibe I wanted, and I could not be more grateful.

Fuzz Sent on 10/29/2017DJ Mike at C-Squared events could not have been any better! All of our guests commented that Mike was great and most said he was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard. Right from the start, Mike was easy to work with. After our initial meeting with Mike it was clear that he was professional and would be on top of everything. He listened to our requests and to what kind of reception we wanted and tailored everything around that. We depended on Mike a lot to help us with the order of things at the reception: when do we do the wedding party introduction, toasts, first dance, etc. He gave very good advice and everything went perfectly at the reception. The "extras" were also great: photo booth, lighting, microphones for the officiant, toasts and readings during the ceremony, harpist, etc. Mike had everything we needed.

Michelle Sent on 09/01/2016MIKE IS AMAZING! You honestly will not be sorry for picking Mike as your wedding DJ. He is so energetic and fun- he had everybody dancing. The only negative was that we didn't have enough time with him and everyone wanted to keep on dancing! I love that he does what YOU want and not what is popular for other weddings. He listens to what YOUR style is and YOUR song requests. He was so responsive before the wedding and really put my mind at ease with my million questions and he had great suggestions. He also brought in lighting for our reception and it wouldn't have been the same without it. All in all, Mike is so awesome and you won't regret having him as a DJ. -

He was super flexible and accommodating to any changes we needed to make along the way, along with suggesting a way to incorporate some special personal touches into our reception. Our monogram on the dance floor was a cool bonus and his professionalism with our guests were awesome! Everyone was on the dance floor all night which is exactly what we wanted! Mike was a big reason why our reception was such a success! -

With the little info the DJ had, he kept the party hopping all night long! Everyone young and old was on the dance floor through the whole reception. And the music he played for the wedding ceremony was beautiful and perfect and the grand entrance was lots of fun! He kept things organized and moving right along with the perfect level of MCing too. Thank you for adding so much to Lindsey & Jeremy's wedding day? You were a perfect fit for their wedding. -

User2558723 Sent on 03/16/2016We hired Mike as the DJ for our wedding in early March, on a tip from a friend and after reading through his stellar reviews. He was not only professional and organized, but really listened to what we needed and offered exactly that! From our initial conversation and deposit he set up a login for his website to input all our info, including music preferences and level of involvement from the DJ (i.e. from "just play music" to "make announcements" to "MC every moment of the night").
A few weeks out from the event we reviewed all the selections and timeline of events (i.e. 1st dances, toasts, announcements, etc.) and how everyone would be wired for sound at the ceremony. We had some specific requests but for the most part left it up to Mike to do what he does and keep the night flowing. Our venue was completely outdoors (with a tent) and of course the day/night of the wedding absolutely poured, then got colder as we got into the evening. No problem for Mike though! He never skipped a beat (see what I did there)...the ceremony was miked and heard by all present, the intros and announcements were perfectly timed (and he helped keep US on time), and the music was bumping throughout the night! Even with the cold, miserable weather he kept the energy up and folks on the dance floor. We were so so pleased with his work and would highly recommend him to any couples tying the not in the region! -

Sarah Sent on 07/17/2012Both my husband and I were extremely happy with the dj service we received at our wedding. From the time we first met with Mike Carroll we knew he was the dj for us. He was professional, kind, funny and has a passion for what he does. He has a lot of experience and while he does listen to your wants and needs as a client, he also helps guide you through it. Our wedding went off smooth and without a hitch and I do believe how he mc'ed the evening played a huge part in that. He ensured that things went according to our schedule that we created with the use of his helpful website. Both friends and family commented after about how great out dj was. Even our wedding coordinator, who has worked with a number of dj services, commented on how impressed she was. My husband and I both felt the dj can help make or break a wedding reception. I am so glad to say that C Squared helped make ours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future. -

He made sure that he served not only as a DJ but kept track of the timeline leading up to and during our special day, almost like a second coordinator. We lived a couple hours from where Mike works and he was willing to meet us in the middle for two meetings (one for the initial introduction and the second to finalize everything before the wedding). In all interactions Mike was very personable. He was attentive in our wishes, asking how much interaction he should have during the wedding, and most importantly, he followed through on what we asked. Several guests commented on his great recognition of meshing the crowd with the music. Plus, if you have time, you can select which songs to play or not play ahead of time, he has over 80,000 something songs! We couldn't have been happier with our selection and would gladly recommend Mike again. If you need a DJ, he is your guy! -

We interviewed 5 dj's before we picked C squared. What separated him from the rest was when we first went to meet with him he simply asked us "what do you want your wedding to look like, what do you want your guests to walk away with?" He was the first person to ask us what WE wanted and not tell us how he normally runs a wedding. Our wedding was done out of the ordinary and we loved how excited he got every time we threw a new idea at him. You would be crazy not to have Mike as your DJ for your wedding!! -

But most important, my friends, my groom and I all had a BLAST on the dance floor. I had told Mike that music was probably the most important element of my wedding (OK, second to the groom!) and he delivered on his promise to make my wedding fun and well organized--an added value. If I could give him more than 5 stars in all categories, I would!!!! -

Rachel Sent on 10/15/2014Mike was exactly how I wanted a D.J. to be at my wedding. My husband and I didn't want all the extra stuff, nor could we afford it, but Mike gave 110% on our wedding day. The music was smooth, transitions were smooth in the ceremony and reception. He also was our M.C. and did a great job in announcing everything well, and best of all, keeping us on track and on time!! He choose all the music we loved and everyone at the reception loved the music. He is a busy man, but would usually get back to me within a couple days. We were a little nervous with his lack of expression/personality during our meetings, but he was a normal energetic person on our wedding day. Thanks so much, Mike!
