My dress was the star of the wedding! The amount of compliments I received on this dress are out of this world and that is all due in part to C’s work to tailor fit the dress to me. She created a bustle for the dress that only added to its amazing beauty! Working with C was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning process. From day 1, I knew I could trust her entirely with my dress and didn’t have to worry about a thing. I could not have found a better seamstress. If you have a choice on who you get to work with for a seamstress, I HIGHLY recommend C. -

I can't recommend C Pratte enough. She perfectly hemmed and bustled by wedding gown. I met with her two weeks before the wedding, and she had my dress ready by the following week. She even gave me some tips for posing in photos. It was an honor working with her. -

Amazing, amazing, amazing!
After purchasing my gown from Fiori Bridal in Essex Vermont C was highly recommended by my consultant for bridal gown alterations. Without hesitation I reached out as soon as my dress arrived and it is easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! C was kind, comforting, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable not only in regards to wedding gowns but wedding incite as well! Throughout my experience with C she was so supportive of both myself and my mother who accompanied me at my appointments. She was never hesitant to answer any questions we had. She was also able to take my mothers vintage veil and bring it back to life after be stored away for decades! Her attention to detail is impeccable along with her amazing work ethic. I will always recommend her services! -

Wedding dress
I heard of C Pratt from the ladies at Fioris and they had nothing but great word to say about her so I knew I would like to the alter my wedding dress. She lived up to all those expectations. She was kind and flexible. When my gown was done she not only made sure everything was done perfectly but she also gave me advice on walking and how to sit and stand for photos. To top it all off she was able to do everything in one week! -

I will highly recommend C to anyone in need of alterations. She is reliable, fast, and professional. My dress was a bit of a challenge and had a lot of things that needed to be altered including a tear in the illusion. C was able to completely transform my dress from start to finish in 6 days! I originally planned to have a belt added to my dress because I felt it was missing something. After she worked her magic when I tried it on and it actually fit me the way it was supposed to I thought it was beautiful as is and didn't end up using the belt. Every bride should should see a professional and C is the way to go! The cherry on top of the wonderful experience was her tips for posing in the dress for photos! -

Not only is C an incredibly talented seamstress, but she’s the kindest person, with an insane work ethic. While my dress was already too big, after a car accident earlier this year I had lost a decent amount of weight and just overall muscle mass due to a neck and back injury. I was currently in the midst of receiving chiropractic care 2-3 times a week, but it was still obvious that my back and neck were slightly off, she noticed it early on and broached the subject with the upmost respect. She was quick to make small little adjustments, so the dress would conform to my back and shoulders instead of twisting funny-as it was a sheer back, and it was noticeable. The dress also needed to be taken in quite a bit, and each little floral appliqué had to individually be removed and then placed back on in order to make those adjustments. She did almost all this work and then some, within a week or so. When I had originally stepped into the dress I was quite hopeless as it had been a rough couple of months and I was concerned that the dress I once loved would never look the same on me again. I was so incredibly wrong, and I have never been so happy to be so wrong. You gave me the moment of feeling like a bride again for the first time in close to 9 months, so thank you, I’m beyond grateful! -

I truly cannot recommend C enough. She did an absolutely amazing job with my wedding dress and made me look better than I could have ever imagined. It so far has been one of the best experiences leading up to my wedding so far. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail are unmatched. She even taught me how to stand/pose for pictures (something I DEFINITELY needed practice on). If you are lucky enough to work with C, you will not regret it!!! -

I contacted Cecile about a year ago when I was headed out on pharmacy school rotations, an anxious mess because of everything I had to do with the wedding on top of graduation. She immediately calmed my nerves and helped me plan a fitting schedule that worked in line with my traveling. When I returned home and had my first fitting, Cecile was so warm, genuine and helped to ease any wedding jitters that I had. She spent so much time with me carefully working each layer of the dress so it was exactly as I wanted it. It was hard to imagine that it could be more beautiful pinned up then when I walked in but she worked some type of magic! I couldn’t wait to see the final result. Not a few days after that I came down with Covid, and Cecile was so nice about rescheduling my final fitting just three days before the wedding. I didn’t have a care in the world because I had the utmost confidence in her ability to make my dress look absolutely perfect, even if that meant I wouldn’t see it until 72 hours before the wedding. When I tried it on, maybe I was at a loss of words because I was just getting over my illness, but I like to believe that it was because I was blown away by how fabulous I looked! The dress looked like it had been custom-made for me. Everyone raved at my wedding about how beautiful this dress was, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Cecile. -

C is amazing. I’m an out of town bride (getting married in VT but I live in Colorado). She was SO accommodating and had my dress AND a coat altered for me in 24 hours. Both were several sizes too big and now are perfect. She also gave me some great tips and tricks for posing in pictures. Can’t thank C enough! -

Above and Beyond
She went above and beyond what was required to make sure my dress was absolutely perfect. She is very passionate and truly cares about her work and her clients to make sure they are happy! I am so thrilled to have gone through her because I do not think anyone else would've done what she did to make sure my dress was perfect. My dress required some extra work in order to make it fit correctly and she made sure I ended up with the dress of my dreams and all while remaining at a reasonable price! Very highly recommended!!! -

C is amazing- she altered my sisters dress in 2018 and we absolutely loved working with her so I reached out shortly after getting engaged in 2019. C got me on her books and then the pandemic happened so our plans went up in the air. C was patient and willing to work with me during this crazy time. I wore my mom's vintage dress and C was a delight to work with on it and helped me figure out what I wanted to do to update the dress while preserving the sentimentality of the dress. My mother-in-law was blown away by the care C provided and by the tips she shared for taking good pictures and enjoying the wedding. I am so glad C was able to get me in for my wedding. I absolutely love the dress and the headpiece she made from the old sleeves! I do not hesitate to recommend C to anyone who is looking for a warm and caring seamstress who is also very talented and knowledgable about all things wedding alterations! Thank you, C! -

I can’t say enough amazing things about C! I had a amazing experience working with her. I bought my gown at Fiori and they recommended her to me. I now can 100% see why they spoke so highly of her. She is very professional and that is clear by her initial email telling me absolutely everything i would need to know about her service. This was so perfect, for some as detail oriented as me! She meets her brides right in Fiori which was so convenient. As soon as I met her at my first alteration appointment I felt instantly at ease and trusted her with my gown! It’s very hard to find that in a seamstress. She is very prompt with her alternations as well! We had our first appointment on a Sunday and they were all finished and perfect the following Sunday! I felt that she took so much time listening to me and what I wanted. She wanted to make 100% sure I was going to be perfectly comfortable the day of my wedding. After the first appointment she was able to tell us exactly how much the alterations would be. This was so helpful when trying to plan out wedding expenses. Throughout both appointments she was always giving extremely useful tips from how to open my garnet bag to not tear the gown, to what to pack in my emergency bride kit the day of the wedding! She even gave walking and poses tips and tricks at our final appointment! Not many seamstresses will take that extra time with you! She also took so much care and time with my mom showing her how to do the bustle on my dress which was so appreciated! Now we both feel so comfortable with how things will work the day of my wedding! I really could keep going on and on. My mom and I were both so throughly impressed! I 1000% recommend C over and over again! -

What a nerve-wracking thing to have a very expensive dress altered. C was professional from the start, she instantly made me feel at ease. She explained all the alterations she was going to make and my dress fit me beautifully in the end. I didn't cry when I picked out the dress or picked it up - but when it was fitted to me and truly my dress, I cried tears of joy. She let me take the time to try on my veil, jeweler and hair piece with it because I hadn't seen them together with the dress yet. She gave me tips on posture, posing and walking. Taught my mom how to do the bustle. A top-notch experience overall. I have a month until my wedding and I really wish I could wear my dress everywhere until then. Thank you C! -

Cee was very accomodating after a different seamstress made alterations to my wedding dress that were substandard. She fixed the problems and ended up re-sizing it as well. She was kind and professional and did a great job on the dress. My bustle looks gorgeous! She also provided suggestions regarding undergarments and shoes that helped me look my best. She was persistent through some scheduling hiccups and ended up seeing me a week and a half before my wedding and finishing my dress in about six hours. u -

I was worried about my dress not being easy to work with since it is made out of such a bigger crocheted lace, but she did a wonderful job! She tried a new type of bustle with my dress, and a detail wasn't sitting comfortably in her mind the night I took it home. She called me and asked to see me again so she could change it. She wanted to triple check that the bustle was going to be secure! I didn't even notice, and may not have until the day of the wedding, so I thought it was great that she made the initiative to make sure it was correct. I truly appreciated how thorough she was through the whole process!! I can't wait to wear my dress!! -

Michelle Sent on 04/04/2012Most people recommend using a seamstress that works on a particular designed so I was nervous about alterations as I bought my dress in California and the designer wasn't sold anywhere in Florida. I know absolutely nothing about sewing, etc., but in my first correspondence with C, my fear subsided. C did a wonderful job on my dress which was silk and lace. In addition, she made a belt and hair comb for me out of flowers and fabric from my dress designer. The dress fit perfectly and my bustle was easy to tie. C runs a fantastic business and provides a great service for a great value. I would highly recommend her to all brides. -

She is so professional but fun to work with as well. Her work is absolutely beautiful! She suggested going with the French bustle instead of the American. My dress was perfect and everything I dreamed of. She really listens to what you want and gives it to you. She made the vision of my perfect wedding dress become a reality.
She is very reasonably priced and known all around town. Every dress store I went to, they recommended C for my alterations.
She is amazing and gave me great "tips" for the day of. And has I was getting tired and not standing straight... C's voice would pop up in my head telling me to "stand straight."

Originally, I bought a chiffon dress at David's Bridal..... what I thought was perfect for a beach side wedding. However, when I picked it up, it was horrible!! After sitting in the parking lot crying for several minutes, I found another Bridal Salon in the area where I was blessed to find a sample gown on sale. The store could not help me with alterations due to the limited time I had. I brought my dress home and began searching for seamstresses in my area and came across C on Wedding wire. I emailed her and she contacted me back right away. She made me an appointment to see her within days. At my first fitting, C explained what she wanted to do as well as the cost involved. From the moment I met C, I knew I was in good hands and my worries that things would get done in time immediately dissipated. At my second fitting, I expressed some of my worries with her original ideas, and as we talked and exchanged visions my dress began to take shape. I left that day feeling incredibly excited and couldn't wait to see the finished product! When I put my dress on during the last fitting, I was absolutely amazed! Not only did she create, she did it in less than three weeks!! She took a sample dress and turned it into an original that reflected me, my maturity, as well as my figure. It could not have been more PERFECT!

I simply went in for a fitting, we discussed some of the things that I wanted and when I returned a week and a half later, my dress was the "perfect" dress! How great is that? If you want a true, professional seamtress, contact C...she is such a pleasure to work with!
