We had a great experience with Kris, who was always professional, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. He did a great job playing music that appealed to both the older and younger crowd, and kept everyone on the dance floor. Everyone loved the photobooth, and he even helped with our slideshow when plans changed last minute. Would definitely recommend

Great DJ! So much fun!

Kris knows what he’s doing! We had a GREAT experience with him! The app he uses is very easy to figure out. He reads the crowd, gets people involved, works with the photographers for photo opportunities… couldn’t have asked for better!

Kris is AMAZINGGG!
He made everything so simple, easy, and fun!! My husband and I had so much stuff to worry about approaching the wedding day that we could not properly set a playlist but Kris took care of it and he did an incredible job. He got so many of our guests dancing and everyone had a blast. We also got the photo booth package and it was the BEST DECISION EVER!! Our guests LOVED it (even the older ones) and we have access to all of the photos online and they are priceless!! Heidi was in charge of the photo booth station and she was also the sweetest

10/10 Would Recommend

Kris stepped in at the last minute to DJ our wedding when our original DJ unexpectedly quit just months before our wedding. I am here to say that we should have booked Kris from the beginning. He was entertaining, professional, and made us laugh during the centerpiece give away. Kris reads the crowd well and everyone loved the music, everyone danced for the entire reception up until the very last song. I highly recommend using Kris and his team if you are looking for high quality entertainment at a reasonable price.

One of the best decisions we made!

Kris from By Design Entertainment was by far the best DJ! Everyone at the wedding kept raving about how great he was! He definitely got the party going! It was so easy to work with him and I loved the convenient app that connected right to my Spotify so I could add all my songs and make my playlist super easily. The dance floor was packed all night! The wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him and I wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend!

Hire Kris!

Kris is the EXACT person we were looking for in a DJ. From the very first email exchange, I had a feeling this would be our guy! We met Kris in person to make a final decision and it was a no brainer. Kris is funny, personable and very responsive. He made everything so easy for us. When the day came, he exceeded our expectations. He followed through on everything we asked for and he was active with our guests but did not overpower the evening. Everything was perfect.

Kris is extremely reasonable in price and we would hire him again in a second. Our guests are still talking about how great he was and how much fun he made the wedding.

Can’t have a party without any music!

Fantastic DJ

Kris is the best. DJ skills are phenomenal. He had just about everyone who wouldn't normally dance out on the floor. He was fully aware and respectful of our time, helping us to pace the events we had planned smoothly. And he was very good at exciting the crowd and keeping spirits high with the choice of music and with his MCing abilities. I highly recommend By Design Entertainment for your wedding, or any event that would warrant a DJ.

Best DJ Ever!

We couldn’t have found a better DJ for our wedding than Kris! We booked him two years out from our wedding date and he was awesome to work with every step of the way! We had an initial meeting with him at a nearby Starbucks shortly after contacting him. He’s got a great personality and sense of humor. From the minute you meet him, you get positive vibes! We didn’t even meet with anyone else; we booked him immediately. During that two year span, we ran into some unexpected financial trouble and needed to cut down on our wedding budget & even change venues. Kris was willing to work with us & let us change a few things/cut out a few services we originally had wanted, which he definitely did not have to do! He’s the only vendor we kept when changing venues because we really wanted to keep him! We even moved to California (military move) in between that time and needed to converse with Kris over the phone until the wedding. There was a 3 hour time difference, but he still made it a point to talk with us even though it may not have been convenient for him. Every time we contacted him, he replied back quickly and was able to answer all of our questions. My husband couldn’t care less what type of music was played at our wedding, but I’m very picky and admittedly dislike most current music. Kris was accommodating to that & even upped our number of allowable “Do Not Play” songs haha! The Vibo app is nice & Kris definitely utilizes it! It’s laid out easily & divides everything up into categories. It even provides recommendations for certain instances that you may have overlooked or can’t think of (cake cutting song, bridal party entrance music, etc.) I recommend making notes on specific songs if you want Kris to make a shout-out or want it played at a very specific time because he does read them! We had a brunch wedding & not a very lively crowd. There was only a few people actually dancing and they were the ones up most of the time. Kris really tried his best to get everyone more motivated to get on the floor & even tried multiple methods. One was ingenious and worked for a while - he got everyone to crowd together on the dance floor for a group picture & then tricked them into doing the YMCA. Unfortunately they were a super tough crowd and most everyone seated themselves after that song. My husband and I truly appreciated all of his attempts, though, and still enjoyed ourselves even though most of our guests were party poopers! It also almost felt like Kris was our maitre’d - he was basically running everything! He was certainly more organized than our actual maitre’d and even checked up on my husband and I multiple times. About two weeks before the wedding, we realized we could afford the motion wall monogram of our names & asked Kris if we could add it in. He made a mock up of it to show us what it would look like & we loved it! It looked even better in person & he even added in some cool effects that we were blown away by! It was completely worth the price 100%! We had a slight Disney theme to our wedding & Kris surprised my husband and I by adding the monorail spiel to the end of the very last song played. It was such a magical touch to the end of the reception & we even had multiple guests recognize it and smile! We cannot recommend Kris enough; he’s tremendously skilled & absolutely wonderful at what he does! We have no doubt we made the right choice & we wish we lived locally so we could use him again in the future for any other gatherings!

Almost 2 years later & people are STILL raving about our wedding!

By Design Entertainment was the best decision we could have ever made! I’m not exaggerating when I say all of our guests are STILL talking about how much fun our wedding was almost 2 years later! The set prices & knowing there’d be no surprise bills later were a HUGE relief! They are a massive value for the price! DJ, Uplighting, Custom Logo Lighting, & Photobooth made our dream wedding a reality! Kris & Heidi we’re inviting & personable. They created a fun & comfortable environment where the guests who were strangers celebrated on the dance floor & in the photo booth and left as friends. No one stayed seated and when they were it was only to catch their breath before dancing again. He even let me dj my favorite song! When my brother in law added the Eagles fight song to his speech Kris lit the room green and patched the song in. He didn’t even know it was coming, but he was that quick on his feet. It was amazing and not only the guests, but my husband was thrilled! I can’t say enough great things or thank this company enough! They truly EXCEEDED EVERY EXPECTATION we could’ve dreamed of! By Design Entertainment was Amazing!

We decided to hire Kris for our wedding reception last April after reading numerous positive reviews and comparing pricing options, and we were completely blown away by his delivery! Kris always had our needs in mind, from finding all of our “uncommon” song requests (many came from random covers on YouTube) for our cocktail hour to running the ceremony exactly as we wanted. He even was kind in helping one of our physically-challenged guests get up some stairs when he certainly did not have to. One of our biggest fears in hiring a DJ was getting a “bro,” but Kris was classy and exactly what we were hoping to get! His prices are also excellent – we got his services for the cocktail hour/reception and a step-up with a lighting package for less money than most of our other vendors charged for their services. We would readily and highly recommend By Design Entertainment for anyone who needs a DJ.

Also, additional bonus points: for our consultation, we were late in meeting him since I (the groom) confused his meeting place with that of another vendor, and he did not hold it against us at all! Thank you for understanding!

Experienced DJ

Book Kris now! We remembered and sought Kris as our DJ after watching him electrify the dance floor at a friend’s wedding years ago. We didn’t speak much before the wedding but he was friendly and prompt in all his communications and had an easy to use app to load our song requests. He also took the time out the week of our wedding to give his thoughts on our reception schedule. Then on the day of, he checked in with us before entering the dance floor and stopped by our table during dinner to check how we were doing. His song choices were great and kept people dancing all night long and he even created a special moment for us at the end by calling people to the dance floor for us to dance to one of our favorite songs. His partner Heidi, also expertly manned the photobooth with abundant props which encouraged our guests to use it. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and size of the photobooth album. All in all, we were very pleased with Kris/Heidi and we would recommend their affordable services to everyone.

Married 11/10/18

Book Kris now! He was so thorough with the planning process and made sure everything between flow, name pronunciations, and mood was perfect. He made adjustments as things went longer than expected and had open communication all night with my husband and I on any song requests/when we felt was good to play certain songs. He was upbeat, easygoing and made our night an ease. The dance floor was jammed the entire night and he always knew what song to pick if there was even a bit of a lull (which I’m not even sure there was one)! We have had so many compliments on how great he was, he was respectful of all age groups and knew how get all the generations out and partying. Thank you Kris for the best night ever!

Kris was amazing!!!

I was told by my wife I had ONE job and that was to make sure our music for our wedding was perfect. I did some research and ended up meeting with Kris from By Design, After speaking with him for about 45 min I was comfortable with him and left a deposit. As we got closer to the date, Kris was very obtainable both by phone and email to answer any questions we had and to help us make our selections for the Special Dances. While we did this you could tell Kris REALLY enjoys what he does, he would pull up songs and sing along and explain why this song works or doesn't work for the dance type. He was open to all suggestions!! He even found a way to work in my music "late 90s and Early 00's Rock/Punk" and IT WAS A HIT!!! I have had so many people come back to me in the last few weeks telling me our wedding was a BLAST and that the DJ was FANTASTIC!!!! If I could give Kris and his team a 10 I would! Kris thank you for making our day so memorable!!! You really are fantastic at your craft! I will be recommending you to everyone that asks and I will be using you for future events! Kris was recommended to us by a friend who had recently gotten married - and I am happy to recommend him myself! From the very beginning, Kris was very approachable and accommodating. We met in person to discuss our ideas for the reception and ceremony, and Kris gave helpful feedback and asked thoughtful questions throughout, all while making us laugh at the same time! He was very responsive via email, and went to the trouble to do an on-site walkthrough of the venue with us to make sure that everything would work well. Our wedding reception wouldn't have been complete without team Kris and Heidi! If you are currently mulling over a few DJ/photobooth options, just stop and book Kris for you will not regret it! Kris is very helpful, responsive, and he is ALL ABOUT YOU. He genuinely cares about the couple and truly want to make sure that he provides you with whatever it is you need in terms of DJ and photobooth services. What sets Kris apart from the other DJ services (I completed a compare and contrast exercise with my girlfriends) is that Kris is truly flexible and understanding. If you need him, he is a short call away. If you have a last minute addition, he is accommodating to help you achieve your entertainment "vision" on your special day. In the words of Kris, it is "about you" and "your day". One unique thing that sets Kris apart form other photobooth services is the high quality of the photo strips and pictures. The image is true to color, sharp, and the photo strip print-out are very high quality sharp images. This in my view is top of the line service!

BOOK KRIS NOW! :) He was FANTASTIC and you can’t let an opportunity for him to DJ for you pass you by.

Our first meeting with Kris was great. We discussed our vision for the wedding with him, and he played music along the way that demonstrated his style and how it would work with ours.

For our wedding, we asked Kris play music from our giant list of requests, but the best part was that he incorporated them so well! My father requested “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, but didn’t tell me why. It turned out to be part of his father of the bride speech, and as soon as it was over, Kris invited the couples to the dance floor and played the song! I had no idea why my dad wanted that song, and Kris didn’t know either. Kris found the perfect opportunity to play that song and I’ll forever remember that. Another great touch by Kris was when he played the Eagles song after my sister’s speech. Both the best man and MOH speeches were sports-oriented and Kris got the feeling it would be a good time to play the song. It wasn’t planned, but it was fun watching as my husband went around the room cheering on the Eagles, with our guests getting just as excited. Kris even changed the uplighting to green for the song! All very nice touches!

Kris also did a fun game to give away our centerpieces. His humor was great! We were making our rounds to our guests at that time, and watching them enjoy the game so much was a highlight.

Kris was SUPERB and I cannot say enough great things about him. He was a delight from the first meeting, he went above and beyond with such small touches, and he really made our wedding day special. Thanks, Kris!

I'll be honest - while my fiance and I did a lot of work picking songs for our wedding, we spent a heck of a lot more time finding our photographer, videographer, venue, etc. DJ was almost an afterthought. I say this not to downplay how amazing Kris is, but to say that by the time I got to the point in my planning that we had to arrange either a band or DJ, I was tired of calling a bunch of places and going through hoops to get pricing. We had been stood up by another DJ company and I was honestly over it all. Enter Kris. After reading all of the great reviews, watching several videos of other weddings he's worked, AND (best of all!) being able to LOOK AT PRICING on his website, I was sold. We went for the DJ service plus the photo booth, and Kris took care of everything. Our ceremony went off flawlessly (we had several songs for each part of the processional/recessional), our reception was a BLAST, and so many people enjoyed taking photos in the booth. I never had a worry or care in the world. Kris was professional, incredibly friendly, and best of all (in a DJ) NOT CORNY. He kept the "DJ hype" chatter to a minimum and did a wonderful job mixing the long list of songs we requested in with his own selections. The dance floor was never empty, and we have HUNDREDS of photo booth pictures of all our guests enjoying themselves. Do yourself a favor and trust all his wonderful reviews. Kris is a gem!

Best DJ EVER! So many of our guests said how great of a DJ Kris was-they want to use him for their upcoming events now! We are lucky we found Kris and Heidi. From just first impression alone, we were pleased. We had such an amazing time. He is very accommodating and flexible, especially with our hectic schedule. I couldn't be more pleased with Kris and Steve from By Design Entertainment!! They did an amazing job at our wedding 2 weeks ago at Masso's Catering, in Glassboro NJ. Originally, Kris was supposed to be our DJ, so we met up with him at a Starbucks near our house about a month before the wedding to go over the music. We immediately clicked with him because he was so personable and sweet. He really made it a point to play music that my husband and I like, whether it was traditional "wedding music", or not. He made sure to write down names of bands we like, and really tried to get a feel for what music we would like to be played at the wedding. He was super nice, and great to work with. On the day of the wedding, Kris got in touch with me to inform me that he was unable to be our DJ that night because of a family emergency (totally understandable), and that he had an awesome replacement for us, Steve. I was obviously a little nervous because I haven't met Steve before, but I didn't let it stress me out too much because I trusted Kris. Well let me tell you, Steve was phenomenal!!!! He had my guests dancing all night, and played all the music that Kris and I talked about (and more) at our initial meeting. At the end of the night, when most the older crowd left, he played some songs from "A Day to Remember" and "Blink 182" that had our friends moshing. It was the most awesome thing ever. I've never seen that at a wedding before, and our friends had the time of their life. Steve was so great all night and was always making sure we were having a good time. Even my photographer was complimenting him, saying that he was playing awesome music. I'm so thankful for Kris and Steve for making my wedding a blast!! I wish I could relive that night again! I would recommend them to anyone. Steve and Kris are such talented and knowledgable Dj's, and they really know how to keep a crowd of all ages on their feet all night. I love you guys!!! I got married on 4/28/17 and I have to say our wedding guests are STILL talking about how much they loved Kris from By Design Entertainment! Being an out of state bride, I was so anxious trying to find vendors that were able to work with me without any face to face contact. I was definitely impressed by the incredible amount of 5 star reviews and decided to contact By Design. Kris was responsive, accommodating, and personable. He worked with our budget and needs and was hands down the best value we could have asked for. He took the time to respond to my questions and never made it seem like I was any less important because I couldn't meet with him in person. The music he played and the energy he brought to our ceremony AND reception was perfect and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. By Design Entertainment was one of the best vendor choices of the many that we made for our wedding on 6/3/17. Kris and his team were beyond professional and knew how to get everyone of all ages up and dancing. Kris had great emcee skills on the microphone. He kept the party going for the duration of the reception. Everyone was loving the photo booth. His up-lighting was fantastic and set the mood and we were very happy that we went with that last minute decision. After researching a lot of other DJ services in the area, no one could beat By Design's price while having the type of reviews they had on the Knot. The price point was perfect for the amount of value they provided. They certainly lived up to their Knot reviews and we are very pleased with their services. My fiance and I met Kris at a friend's wedding a few months before our own wedding. We remembered how personable Kris was and his music selection was fantastic. We saved his information and reached out to him for our wedding. Kris and Heidi were incredible. We used his lighting and also the photobooth. Both of which were next level. I loved how they were both partiers, but very professional. Kris was perfect. He was very adaptable as to what songs would be appropriate and when. He couldn't have done a more awesome job. Not only was every single one of our 20-something year old friends on the dance floor the whole night, but so was our 85 year old grandmother. It's now two months later and our families still rave about the music and the way Kris transformed the entire tent with just a few lights. Kris and Heidi also offer an amazing value. I couldn't name something they could do better. These 2 made our wedding day beyond perfect. I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I could not have had a better DJ and Photo Booth team than Kris and Heidi. His music choices were perfect! He was always there with immediate responses whenever I emailed him. We felt super comfortable from the moment we first met him and knew he was the right choice for us. Our guests loved him! Kris lit our venue so beautifully to match our decor. He even had some fun with our flower girl who was very interested in chasing the moving lights on the dance floor. Heidi was amazing running the photo booth. Our guests loved deciding which props to use and she was very patient with everyone and made the open air DJ booth a really fun experience. Everyone got in there at one point or another. they already have so many 5 star reviews and my wife and I can understand why... PERFECT... everything we asked for and everything we wanted... down to starting the entrance song on the exact second we asked and cutting the slow dances on the exact part we wanted... the DJ, Kris, even gave us a few ideas we weren't even thinking about... not to mention they provided a photo booth for free with the DJ and a Person to handle the photo booth!! believe it or not I have been to a wedding with an unmanned photo booth that jammed up and almost ruined the brides wedding !! So just having that person there to handle it was amazing.. we honestly cant say enough... our venue was amazing .. our photographer was amazing.. our entire day was amazing... but the DJ makes or breaks the party.. and these guys made the party... my wife and I sat for about 15 minutes all night... no one really sat.. it was great and the price beat everyone else.. after seeing what they provided I'm shocked the price was so good... would recommend to all!!!! thanks guys

My husband I got married on 12/30/16 and were so excited to have Kris as our DJ. From the first time we met with him, we knew were working with a seasoned professional. I'm so glad that we chose Kris from By Design Entertainment for our November 2016 wedding. He met with us in person for two planning meetings before the big day, each time he really listened to what I/we wanted in the look and feel for the big day. He made helpful suggestions and walked us through what to expect. (Which is a big thing because you don't get married and hire a DJ every year. I think this is something vendors often forget!) When I made him a spreadsheet of music, he welcomed it and made everything work seamlessly. I was getting compliments on our entertainment weeks after the wedding. Words cannot even begin to express how happy we are with the DJ and photo booth services that both Kris and Heidi provided us with at our wedding. All night we received nothing but compliments and heard excellent things about them from all of our guests. The dance floor was never empty and the photo booth always had someone in it. Kris and Heidi are a force to be reckoned with. From start to finish, the level of professionalism, and flexibility were recognized by myself and my husband on so many occasions. If you hire Kris, you will have the wedding of your dreams! Our wedding venue, The Mansion, recommended By Design Entertainment for DJ Services. From the moment my now husband and I first met with Kris for our initial meeting, we felt very comfortable with him. We had already met with a couple other DJs before Kris, but Kris really came out on the top in terms of his excellent pricing and his wonderful personality. Kris was an amazing DJ who provided us with wonderful service. He met with us prior to our signing of our contract and afterwards prior to the wedding. He was very responsive with phone calls, texts, and emails. All of these things were so helpful, since we were planning our wedding out of town in another state. Kris provided sound and microphone on the NJ beach for our ceremony, and DJ services, lighting, and photo booth for the reception (Heidi was the photo booth attendant). He created the perfect mix of music, combining both our requests and other songs that he knew would keep the crowd engaged. Our guests loved the way that he got everyone up, dancing, and interacting. People are still complimenting us on the music and how much fun the entire reception was. Our main goal for the reception was for everyone to have fun, and Kris helped us make that happen. When planning our wedding, we knew that music was going to be a big part of it. My wife and I got married on October 31 and it was a 1980s prom themed wedding. So we knew that we needed to find someone who is not only professional, but someone who was going to have fun with the music. From the first phone call to the day of the wedding, Kris Szanto from ByDesign entertainment was not only professional, he was fun to work with. We sent Kris an email and within an hour we had received a phone call from him. He had answered all of our questions and then some. We met him on two occasions and both times he went out of his way to meet us. We also corresponded via email in the months leading up to the wedding. A few weeks before the wedding things were changed and Kris was very accommodating. His pricing was very fair and was even offering a special with lighting and a Photo Booth package. We received a ton of compliments from family and friends about how awesome the music was and how much fun the Photo Booth with all the different props were. Kris and Heidi were awesome all night and there were people on the dance floor and in the photo booth at all times. You will not be disappointed with by design entertainment. Kris of ByDesign was a blast to work with! He Dj'd our wedding and it was super fun.
He was easy and accommodating to work with. He considered the situation we were in and was kind enough to help us out in a number of ways, including taking the job on short notice. I don't have much experience planning events but what I got out of it was that as far as choosing a DJ, it's best to pick one that has a fun party persona as it transfers during the event. Kris was the dj at our wedding in August 2015. We loved him! He had a great personality and was able to adapt to the crowd and situation. He kept us on schedule and helped the night run smoothly. Our wedding last night was 100% everything we hoped it would be and then some, and By Design Entertainment played a huge role in that. From start to finish, Kris was willing to add in personal songs/dances that we wanted, organize the wedding party, and keep the night flowing smoothly. When we made last minute changes (during the reception) for the order of events, he had no issues at all doing so. He played our must-haves at just the right times, mixed in with current songs and popular oldies/classics. Our dance floor was never empty. Photo booth was a must have, especially with an attendant to put together our picture strip book and give us our bride/groom props. There is no other DJ to get, By Design Entertainment IS your DJ. The quality of service, his knowledge of all genres of music, to the value you get for the rate he charges is Top notch! The photo booth was so inexpensive compared to other companies and has the best quality photos. Your event will be the one to beat if you hire Kris. We used By Design Entertainment for photobooth rental for our June, 2015 wedding and were not disappointed! Everyone had a blast with it! There were a huge variety of props to choose from, a scrapbook made of all the pictures. We were supposed to receive a cd with all the digital images. It somehow got lost with everything getting packed up, they quickly sent us a Dropbox file with all our images, no hassle. The attends were friendly and great to work with! Definitely re come them!

The Best…
I’ve been to countless weddings over the years and when it was time to put together my wedding we knew that the DJ was not only important, in a lot of ways the DJ is the center of the entertainment, controls the energy and the mood in the room.
We started our search by reading all of the reviews online through multiple websites and then starting pricing it out. Design Entertainment by Kris Szanto came out on top. Of course the review doesn’t just end there…
Kris was extremely accommodating and was easy to work with, which as many of you know, if you do not already, wedding planning is extremely stressful so working with Kris was a breathe of fresh air.
We got married June 27, 2015 at Eagle Ridge Gold Club in Lakewood, NJ. During the wedding everything went off so smoothly we could not have been happier with Kris and his crew. He immediately set the mood and for a group that I thought would never get out on the dance floor, the floor was full within the first 10 mins… Talk about a guy who knows what he is doing, Kris is not a one trick pony…
Not only were we happy with Kris we received so many compliments from our guests. Best DJ ever!!! If you're looking for an awesome time with everyone sore the next day from dancing so much By Design Entertainment is the way to go. Very accommodating and really made our wedding special even with all our silly requests. Kris really made our night one to remember!

We had Kris at our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. Throughout the whole process Kris was so easy to work with. He answered any questions we had quickly and thoroughly. He also helped to make our wedding very unique. Kris worked with us for our unique introduction songs (a different one for each pair) as well as my difficult to find father daughter dance song. During the reception, we received so many compliments on how good the songs were and how much fun everyone was having. He had all of my family and friends up dancing for almost the entire night. After I saw the cake delivered to our sweetheart table, I sat down briefly to eat my cake, but didn't end up finishing it because I was to eager to get back on the dance floor. Thank you so much Kris for such an amazing evening. We had a blast.

We hired Kris for our daughters HS graduation party on 6/20/2015. I shopped on line to find a good DJ for our event. I was really impressed with the reviews I read on "bydesign entertainment" and called to check availability and pricing. He was available on the date I needed and the pricing was very reasonable so I booked him. Our party was an outdoor back yard event. He arrived early and was all set up and playing music when the guests arrived. We had a large variety of ages at this party from little kids to older people in their 80's . He was very professional and personable and really got everybody up and dancing. Kris also has a photo booth which we had also and that was a big hit for everyone. . He did games for the kids and played all different venues of music to keep everyone happy. My 18 year old daughter and her friends also thought he was awesome! All my guests were commenting on how great he was and asking him for business cards. If you are looking for a DJ for your event to get your guests up and dancing , Kris is your guy. I will definitely use him again and I highly recommend his service.

ByDesign Entertainment played a huge part in making our wedding truly remarkable. Throughout the planning process our DJ, Kris Szanto, demonstrated the utmost professionalism and attention to detail. We had done our homework, and, after the initial meeting with Kris, we knew he was the one. Kris’ attention to detail, responsiveness, winning personality, fair pricing, and (as it turned out) awesome skills and top of the line equipment all contributed to making for a truly memorable night. Looking back on the reception, we never had to worry about the progression of the party, which was, in large part, an extended dance party. Kris played all of the songs we selected flawlessly, along with his own, in a perfect order. He did a great job with intros and announcements and really helped control the flow of the night. In fact, our dance floor was packed for most of the evening. Kris definitely had everything thought out well in advance and kept things under control. With poise and respect at all times, he kept us on schedule, kept our photographer, videographer, and staff up to the minute and kept the music and the whole event flowing wonderfully. This allowed us to enjoy our day that much more. It was easy to entrust Kris with our day because we felt that he took us seriously, treated us with the utmost care and attention, and did everything he could to make our day the best it could be. And, it totally worked. The standard comment, “wow, that was one of the best weddings I’ve been to” says a lot. We’re so happy with our choice in ByDesign and Kris, and we’re beyond satisfied with the amazing night the DJ helped make happen!

Kris with By Design Entertainment was great beforehand and the entire night of my wedding. He responded to emails quickly while in the planning process and was extremely flexible with any changes that occurred. He was flexible in being able to meet in person before signing any contract. We changed our schedule of events a couple days before the wedding and Kris was fine with the change and went along with what we wanted. During the night of the wedding, he made adjustments throughout the night (putting on softer music and turning the volume down during dinner, putting requested songs on for different people, etc.). Kris kept all of the guests entertained, up and dancing, and having fun all night. My wedding had a wide age range and culture range, but all guests had an amazing time. Kris is an incredible DJ and was one of the main reasons our reception went so smoothly and why everyone had a great time. In addition to this, DJs can often be extremely expensive, but Kris' price was extremely fair. We got the most basic package without a photobooth, but that was enough. We would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone as he has a great personality and is a great entertainer.

I've been to several wedding and can without a doubt say By Design Entertainment provided the best experience ever! (Yes I'm biased, I was the groom. But I have examples below.)

Our ceremony was at a local city park. There was no electricity but Kris had the set up to provide music and handle it or figured something out without me having to worry about it. That was nice.

The reception was held on a roof top in FL. True to FL weather it rained all morning. The reception was scheduled to start at 5:30, they weren't able to start setting up until 3. I was freaking out! When we arrived it was beautiful, exactly what we had envisioned! I dunno how they pulled it off, but they did.

Kris was one of the most entertaining wedding DJ's I have witnessed as well. He had alot of great "gimmicks" to get people up off their feet. He tricked everyone to get on the dance floor, then hit them with YMCA. White people weren't gonna miss the opportunity to dance to that! After the older people started to file out the party significantly changed and we partied. It was great!

They had an awesome photo-booth that everyone had a great time using. A keepsake booklet of the photo-booth pics was even provided to us. What a great extra!

Weddings on the whole are very stressful I'm glad I didn't have to worry about the things I asked By Design to handle.

The “circus tent” photo booth was a huge success. It went perfectly well with our Surprise Sweet 16 Vintage Circus theme. The guest loved it and we got tons of compliments on how unique it was. WOW!! Our wonderful night was made even better thanks to the photo booth provided by DJ By Design. This ended up becoming one of the lasting memories of the evening. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed their experience in the photo booth while at the same time being provided with a lasting memento, and, contributing to out memories. Heidi was extremely helpful, friendly, and polite. She made everyone feel comfortable with props and poses for their enjoyment. This was a life-lasting investment that was well worth the cost. Especially considering the handmade photo album provided to us as the conclusion of the event. Thanks Heidi and Kris. Having DJ by Design at your wedding is definitely something I would recommend highly.

We have been to several affairs where Kris Santos was the Dj and were always pleased with the work he did. We knew that when we got married we just had to have him as our DJ. Of course, Kris did not disappoint us. He responsive professionalism is like non in the business. If you are looking for a DJ to get involved with the guests, get people on the dance, and cater to your needs, then you should absolutely get this guy! We looked all over and couldn't find a better price for this quality of service!

Let me start off by saying that I am one picky bride. The DJ is one of the most important parts of the wedding, so of course I wanted it to be perfect and it was. Kris did an amazing job! It was so easy and stress-free working with him. The day of the wedding - he made sure that everything was PERFECT! As we were picking music for our reception, Kris made some great suggestions and also was a lot of fun to work with! I cannot even begin to count how many people said how wonderful our DJ was that night! I had several people asking for his contact information after the wedding so that they could pass it onto their friends planning weddings. By design entertainment, one word...AMAZING!! Kris was fabulous!! He played everything we wanted from country to slow to oldies to new music. He even helped the caterer serve food to us and our guests. From beginning to end, we couldn't have picked a better dj! By the time my husband and I decided to hire a DJ instead of a band, the initial DJ company I wanted to hire was booked. The owner recommended a few other DJs, including Kris. After speaking to each of them on the phone, I knew Kris was our guy. He was incredibly patient with us -- our hectic professional lives took over and we were way overdue in getting our must play and do not play lists to him. Despite the delay, which was entirely our fault, Kris was fantastic. He knew when to slow things down and when to get the party started. Everyone had an amazing time. Our friends and family complained of sore legs and feet from dancing so much. Even my mother, who once called me specifically to complain about another DJ at another wedding she attended, raved about Kris. Highly recommend!

I would hire Kris again. He was great and everyone had a great time. Friends/family have called since the party to tell us how much fun they had with the photo booth and what a great DJ he was. We hired BYDesign Entertainment for my daughter's Sweet 16 party and from the 1st communication, Kris was professional, also quick to respond to my many questions and very accomodating! When we first met with Kris, I knew he was going to be our DJ! He was professional, responded quickly, and assured us he would play whatever we wanted! Kris and his assistant provided ceremony music, cocktail hour music, up-lighting, and DJ services for our wedding on May 17, 2014. I gave a specific list of unique songs for the ceremony and Kris got every song going at the right moment! They were not songs that you would typically hear, and it was awesome that Kris was willing get any song on my list. We also provided about 50 songs for the cocktail hour/dinner and 50 songs for dancing at the reception. I heard all the songs! We had a large variety -- Dave Matthews Band, Blake Shelton, Michael Buble, Beyoncé, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Luke Brian, Pitbull, Calvin Harris, Journey, Avicci, and many "everyday popular" songs, etc., and Kris had them all! I am a huge music person and I like to have the right song for the right moment, so it was really important for me to hear a lot of the songs on my list. He was also very good at throwing in what the crowd wanted to hear. From the moment dinner was over Kris made an announcement for everyone to get the dance floor, and I don't think anyone left the dance floor until the reception was over! The up-lighting was great and created a nice atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable letting loose. I had multiple people come up to me during the wedding to tell me how amazing our DJ was. It meant so much to me that my friends and family enjoyed it as much as we did! I also appreciated the affordability of such QUALITY services. I would definitely recommend By Design Entertainment to any bride and groom! Thank you guys! It was the best day of our lives!

We had kris and Heidi for our daughters sweet 16 party- they were amazing! From the music they played to the awesome photo booth with fun props for the kids. The kids had a blast ! They danced all night and really had fun with the photo booth. We added the scrapbook to our package best thing ever!! Heidi put together an awesome book with a copy of everyone's photos from booth -what a great way for our daughter to remember her sweet 16! They truly were awesome to work with!!

I cannot say enough about how fantastic Kris and the team of By Design Entertainment were for our wedding. We opted for the photo booth and were so glad we did. Everyone at our reception loved taking pictures in the photo booth. We met with Kris prior to the big day and gave him mostly a list of music we hated and some that we loved. He took our suggestions and ran with them. So many of our guests complimented us on having the coolest wedding music ever. I could not have asked for more. I really wanted our guests to have a good time and the By Design team came through big time. We knew our guests were having a great time when the dance floor was filled for the last song! We hired By Design Entertainment for our daughter's Sweet Sixteen party at the Mansion in Voorhees. We chose By Design because Kris was very responsive, had reasonable prices and excellent reviews. He provided great entertainment for the kids including fabulous lighting which was included in the price. He played the music my daughter personally selected and we even had fun working with him to pick the music for the night. The kids enjoyed the photo booth; the props made it a lot of fun and the pictures are fantastic.Parents of kids who attended told me what an amazing time their kids had at the party and that was due in large part to Kris, Heidi and Steve providing great entertainment.

Everything about by design was absolutely amazing. To begin with, the reason I chose them is because of all the djs I emailed, Kris Szantos was the fastest to reply and he replied to any questions promptly the entire time. He was personable and made us feel at ease.
everyone keeps telling me it was the best wedding they had ever been to, that the music was awesome and the dj kept it going. We wanted 90s hip hop and by design totally delivered. We also gave a list of some sentimental and favorite songs, like ten songs or so, and he played everyone one and at the right time, like some slower songs were played during cocktail and dinner hour. Once dinner was over it was non stop dancing. Every song that came on we all were like "that's my song!" the whole time. It was so fun.
Not only was the music awesome, the presentation was beautiful and classy, a really clean professional set up with nice lighting and everything. My one friend said his favorite thing about the dj was that you didn't really notice him, he made all the introductions and helped direct the cake cutting and things like that( all very professionally) but he wasn't like in your face or cheesy like some djs can be. It was over all a great experience and I would recommend by design to anyone. One more thing, by design was also Very affordable. Best night of my life!

We used By Design Entertainment for our Wedding on September 7th, 2013. We could not have been more pleased with the level of service and professionalism. I had a meeting with my DJ, Kris Szanto, weeks before the wedding and he was extremely thorough. He wanted to make sure that we had exactly what we wanted for our big day. I wasn't sure about lighting and I left it up to Kris who provided exactly what the ballroom needed. It was subtle and beautiful and was the perfect addition to our reception. Everyone at the wedding commented on how beautiful the lighting was and how spectacular the DJ was. It really was a perfect day and we owe a good portion of that to Kris and By Design. I would recommend this company to anyone having an event. You will be so pleased with the quality of service. Thank you By Design for helping to create a truly perfect wedding.

Kris did an outstanding job! He is friendly and professional at the same time. He had everyone dancing all night long! Ours was an American and Polish wedding and Kris played both types of music as requested. We could not have asked for a better DJ and entertainer. I can't say enough good things about the DJ services Kris / Design by Entertainment provided for us at our wedding. All along, the goal of our wedding was to just have a great party. Kris more than helped us to accomplish that goal for us:
- helpful with our planning leading up to the wedding
- engaged our guests while on the mic (but not overbearing to steal the show)
- stuck to our list of what to -and what not to- play during our wedding
- gauged the energy level of our guests to speed things up or slow things down

Our dance floor was never empty and Kris was so professional throughout the planning and our wedding day. In the end, I would recommend Kris to anyone and everyone.

(FYI: I enjoyed working with him so much, that I hired him for events professionally, as well!!)

By Design Entertainment did an awesome job at our wedding. We could not have asked for more. Kris was our DJ and he really got the party going and kept everyone on their feet throughout the night. If you want an energetic DJ who is easy to work with and listens to your requests, By Design is the way to go.

By Design Entertainment was great :) Kris was our dj and he was so fun. He actually got everybody up including my grandfather who I have never seen dance at any gathering we ever had. So much fun!
My now husband and I were completely lost when it came to setting up our reception. Kris walked us through the entire process and we couldnt have been happier with the results. Our friends keep asking us when we will have another party so we can hire By Design Entertainment.

Our event was a First Holy Communion Party. Chris did a fabulous job. He kept the party going and the guests entertain the entire time. Any time we have an event, we will use By Design Entertainment. We always recommend them to anyone we know.
