Steve was the DJ for our wedding and did a phenomenal job. Naturally, with the significance of a wedding and its once-in-a-lifetime nature, there are nerves around all the vendors beforehand, but Steve was the best before, during, and after the event. We had 150 people at our wedding and not only was the 20x20 dance floor packed, folks were dancing everywhere. I'd estimate Steve had 85-90% of our guests dancing for most of the night.
Pros:
Proactive - Steve set up a couple Zoom meetings, one for an initial meet and greet, another just before the wedding to confirm details, run through the schedule, etc. This helped make sure we were aligned before the big day
Flexible - He was available as needed beforehand, drove quite a ways to our venue, and worked with our ceremony/reception structure perfectly. This was especially important for us as we were using a family property with our wedding being the first major event held there.
Professional - Steve was the consummate professional, yet fun and easy going. He was on top of everything from getting there early to set up multiple locations to coordinating with other vendors throughout the night. Steve is also a stress REDUCER, which is a huge (and unexpected) bonus on the wedding planning side.
Above and beyond - He actually captured some of the best pictures and video from the night and shared them the next day, which was really special.
Value - I'm a big cost to value/numbers person and felt that Steve was fairly priced initially. The wedding more than confirmed that. Both my wife and I felt he was the best vendor of the night and easily worth it.
Cons:
I don't have another event to hire Steve for! Otherwise, I would because he was that good.
Given our experience, I'm highly confident that you won't be disappointed going with Steve!

Steve Buzzard was absolutely incredible—Zach and I loved him!!! He truly MADE our wedding.
From the very beginning, Steve understood the vibe we were going for and brought it to life even better than we imagined. Even with a massive storm hitting during our wedding (seriously, it felt like a tornado outside), he didn’t miss a beat—literally. He adapted seamlessly to everything, kept the energy up, and made sure the dance floor was packed all night long.
His transitions were flawless, the music selection was perfect, and he did such an amazing job reading the crowd. Every moment—from our entrance to our first dance—felt smooth and special because of him.
What really stood out was how calm, professional, and FUN he was. No matter what was going on, he kept the party going and made sure Zach and I were having the best time.
We truly had the time of our lives, and so much of that is thanks to Steve. If you’re even thinking about booking him—DO IT. You will not regret it!!!

We can’t say enough good things about our DJ, Steve! He was so communicative and easy to work with from the very beginning, and he really brought our vision to life. For our October 11th wedding, we wanted a cozy fall vibe with a little spooky Halloween flair, and he totally nailed it.
The music flowed perfectly all night, and he kept everyone on the dance floor. He blended our favorite songs with others that matched the mood of the evening so well. The whole night felt seamless and so much fun. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the music was! Steve was absolutely amazing. He was referred to us through a friend, who he DJ’d their wedding, and I’m so grateful for the recommendation. Steve was the life of the party and eased so many of my wedding-nerves.
From the get-go, we got on a Zoom call to go over expectations and what the vibes we wanted. He sent over all his playlists for us to look through and gave us the full spectrum of control, whether we wanted to pick every song that was played, a couple of songs and some fillers from him, or just have him lead the way. I compiled some playlists and told him these were the vibes I was going for and he threw in some amazing filler songs that matched the vibes perfectly.
We hopped on another Zoom call about a month out from the wedding to finalize all the details from ceremony songs, asking him to MC some games and table dismissal for dinner, and anything else to expect.
The wedding performance overall was spectacular, Steve kept the crowd going all night. I forgot to have someone put out the cake for cake cutting and when it was time to do that, he noticed the cake wasn’t out yet so he just smoothed right into some music until we got the cake out. I was so relieved of how observant and professional he was and he didn’t highlight any of my mistakes or bring attention to anything that was forgotten or missing.
I would recommend him 100x again and again and I am so thankful he was referred my way!

Steve is a gem of a person.
I did not actually get an opportunity to work with Steve; he was booked the weekend of my wedding reception. However, he wrote me back right after my inquiry and offered help in finding me another DJ for my event. Here is the message he sent:
“Congratulations on your wedding! If only I could be in multiple places. Sadly I am booked with a wedding on October 4th. It’s a popular month! While I am not available, would you like me to check with my group of DJ’s to see if they are available? I want to help you secure a great DJ!”
I was bowled over by this message and his kindness! Who takes the time to send such a message in this day and age?! While I was able to find a wonderful DJ for my event, I had to write a review for this man. Anyone who would take the time to help someone find another vendor for their event is a good person in my book. It speaks volumes to him as a person.

He really cares about what he does and we could tell from the start. Our first meeting he had this exciting energy we knew we wanted to book him for our wedding. He handled everything flawlessly. All of my songs and times I wanted everything played worked out great. He hyped up the crowed and kept our party going. He's really great at reading the room and pivoting if people aren't feeling certain things. A Dj can't seriously make or break your wedding in my opinion and I had full confidence in Steve that he would do great. Bride: I don't even know where to begin! From the planning process to the day of, Steve exceeded every expectation. He was easy to collaborate with, flexible and organized. The night went smooth thanks to Steve. He worked with us to provide services within our budget and meet the needs of our venue (my parent's backyard). He had incredible energy! I loved that he played every song on our must-play list and many of the songs from our wedding playlist while incorporating the requests of our guests. Steve is much more than just a DJ!
Working with Steve was great, and we highly recommend him for his services. He worked with us on the type of playlists we wanted and took time to meet with us multiple times before the big wedding day. He truly listened to what we wanted and delivered. In addition, he helped to keep the flow of the wedding by announcing to guests what was coming next and where to go. He brought a fun atmosphere with his DJ booth that had lights, and he kept the party going with the beats. He even took a few pictures and filmed some of us throughout the night, so we have some great videos to look back on since he was in the best seat to view the events (like the first dance and father/daughter dance). I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Steve DJ and provide auction services for a number of events (my middle school and high school dances, and nonprofit benefit dinners). When it was time to book our wedding DJ, it was a no-brainer to ask Steve if he’d do the honors. The best DJ
Steve was the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day. Finding a DJ can be a little intimidating without any kind of referral since you don’t quite always know what you’re signing up for. Steve was the DJ/Emcee for my wife Alyssa and I's wedding reception on 6/14/24 at The Firehouse in downtown Sacramento. From the moment we booked him, he was nothing but first class all the way. He scheduled multiple meetings to speak with us during the planning process and was extremely helpful when we asked him for vendor recommendations. On wedding night he was absolutely phenomenal. Steve was amazing, not only was he the DJ but he kept the wedding going based on the timeline and made announcements throughout the night. We were referred to Steve by some close friends of ours and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning he was incredibly personable and professional- we were comfortable with him from the get go.
He stayed in contact with us through the planning process, there if we had any questions or concerns. On the day of he was so kind, just a joy to celebrate with! Phenomenal DJ/MC job
Steve was one of the first vendors that we hired for our wedding, which officially happened last week. He was a pleasure to work with through the process, and made it a stress-free experience. Since it’s our first wedding for both me and my bride, we didn’t really know what to look for—or look out for. He not only was easy to work with, but was incredibly professional day-of, as he moved from the ceremony site to the reception area seamlessly. Even as a couple monkey wrenches were thrown his way by our timeline going a little long in places, he improvised incredibly well—the “one song to run around and get table photos” was a brilliant idea and got us back on track! Steve just gets it. He’s been doing this a long time. That experience paired with his expert ability to read a couple, a room, and a crowd make for an epic wedding/reception. We hired Steve as the DJ for our wedding and he delivered an unbelievable, A++ performance. Steve excelled in every single category. He was extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding and very helpful with respect to strategizing about logistics in advance of the event. Steve is a very skilled MC and has a knack for reading and working with the audience. He kept the crowd engaged the entire evening, ensured a smooth transition between all of the different stages of the wedding, and did a great job managing the timeline. Oh, and did we mention that Steve is an amazing DJ as well? Steve has great musical intuition and had our entire multi-generational crowd dancing the entire night. We had a great time at our wedding and so did many of our guests, and I would attribute that in large part to Steve. We love Steve and would highly recommend him for any wedding.

Steve is so amazing in what he does. We first encountered him at my sister's wedding, and I immediately knew I wanted him to do mine. When my husband and I finally got engaged, we both knew we had to reach out and book him. We had a basketball themed reception entrance, and he did so amazing, it was beyond our expectations. He is so flexible and ready for anything; he helped get the kids under control by playing music for them to dance to and then directing them off the dance floor. I can go on and on about how wonderful he is, but you will need to see for yourself. I highly recommend him!

Amazing wedding DJ!
DJ Steve Buzzard was an amazing and essential component to our wedding day in October. He absolutely knew how to get the crowd going, keep a timeline, transition events, and play amazing music seamlessly. Steve was a fantastic DJ for our wedding. He was responsive to all of our emails leading up to the wedding and was willing to work with our budget, he had a lot of positive energy and helped keep the crowd going on the dance floor. My wedding coordinator was especially very impressed with his professionalism and he was a pleasure to work with.
We ended up having a lot of toasts during the reception and they took longer than expected so we only had a few hours to dance afterwards before the wedding was over. Steve did such a great job motivating the crowd on the dance floor and we partied really hard for those few hours without skipping a beat. We were referred to Steve by a friend and I am so glad we went with him because he made our wedding that much more special.

Steve was an awesome DJ at our wedding and made the whole process streamless and as stress-free as possible for new brides / grooms. He was very helpful with providing additional equipment on short notice to support another musician that we had hired, as well as some of our groomsmen that we decided (fairly last-minute) to have make a speech during the ceremony.
Steve was flexible, consultative, and most importantly, ensured that everyone had a good time on the dance floor! I would highly recommend Steve for anyone getting married in the greater Sac area.

Amazing Wedding DJ / MC
Could not have had a better person DJ / MC our wedding! Steve is an all around awesome guy, and from the very first zoom call he brought the energy we needed for our wedding day. We considered not using a DJ and just using a playlist to run our event, but going with Steve was one of the best decisions we made. He handled so much throughout the event; he helped keep everything on track, coordinated all of our speeches and big moments, and then did a killer job keeping the dance floor active at the end of the night. Can't emphasize enough how much of a fun and joyful energy he helped bring and he did a great job tailoring his services to fit what we wanted. We absolutely loved Steve as our DJ. He was so enthusiastic and genuinely happy to be at the wedding. He is so professional and dialed on planning. We had a zoom call about a week before the wedding to touch base on final plans. He's made a checklist of songs that are typically needed (first dance, special dances, song to fill the dance floor, etc) which was super helpful. We did song requests from our guests on their RSVPs and he was able to create a perfect mix of songs for our wedding. Steve was communicative in the planning process and a true delight to have at the wedding. We got a number of compliments from our guests on how great the DJ was, too!

Steve is phenomenal!!! He was easy to communicate with and helped ease my mind when I was stressing about the planning. He was flexible and worked extremely well with all the other vendors day of when plans changed up. He made sure to inform all the guests of what was happening so they could be informed throughout the night. He was open to feedback and made sure we were enjoying ourselves all night. He kept the dance floor going and when people made requests he make sure to fit them in if possible. He was able to piece together and make sense of directions when I was scatter brained. You Found the One!! Book Steve!
We got married a little over a month ago and are still constantly reminiscing (and forever will be) on how great of a job Steve did at our wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ/Emcee for our special day! We gave him a few song choices we wanted to hear and from there he took the wheel and knew us better than we know ourselves. Our dance floor was occupied all night and that was our biggest ask! Steve truly made our wedding so much fun! He was professional and felt like you knew him from the start. We needed sound in 3 places and he made it happen! He was recommended to me by a friend whose wedding he did and an industry professional who was booked for our wedding date - we are so thankful for the recommendation. ALSO - he sent some of the best candid photos the next morning which was amazing because my husband and I didn't take any ourselves!

Steve was literally the PERFECT MC for our wedding!
He met with us multiple times over zoom to discuss the flow we wanted, any concerns we had, and how he could best support us on our big day. He was so easy to work with leading up to and on the day of the event, it almost felt TOO easy! He made it so music/mics/sound were the least of our concerns, which was so helpful with so many other moving parts to manage.
Not only did he keep the wedding moving on schedule, he kept everyone dancing until they literally had to tell us it was time to leave. He made the most perfect day even better, and we SO appreciate his hard work.

We booked Steve for our wedding after one conversation on the phone! He had such an amazing vibe over the phone we knew we couldn’t pass him up! It’s vendors like Steve that make postponing your wedding not so bad! We got married at a private residence where Steve was unaware of what he was going to do for setup! He got there and was a pro at getting things set up and situated! As the bride on the day of that is a relief! When it comes to the actual party he did great!!! He took multiple photos the day of and he was able to quickly adjust music to what the guest were vibing with! He was even able to roll with the fact that our venue was having rolling blackouts! He was an amazing edition to our wedding celebration and I would book him instantly!!!

Steve is amazing!
Steve is the best! He seriously has the entire package. Not only is he a skilled DJ but he is also an incredible MC (a more important skill at a wedding in my opinion). I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking - the best decision I made during my wedding planning was hiring Steve.

Excellent DJ!
Steve was very responsive when we had questions. He even spoke with my officiant about our microphone needs. Steve is very personable. He was fair on price and the most important thing I can brag about regarding Steve was that he listened to us about the song genre and selection we wanted. We had some very specific songs we wanted played that were a little obscure. He kept our list and I heard every one of those on our wedding. He also truly enjoys his work and that is obvious, he is having a great time playing music and that positive, upbeat personality really carries to the vibe of the day. We were extremely pleased with him and would refer and use again on a future event!

Steve made our wedding perfect!
I never leave reviews but for Steve Buzzard I had to! Steve was the DJ for our wedding and we are so grateful! He was amazing & made us feel so comfortable. Music is such an important part of the wedding and he pulled off the exact vibe we described throughout the event. His announcer skills kept our wedding moving and on track & made it so fun. From the attention to detail when fading the music and changing songs for the ceremony to introducing our bridal party & us for the first time, to how he somehow got every person invested in the bouquet and garter toss & got everyone on the dance floor, he made the event! He went with the flow & was able to stay a few hours late for us, no questions asked! He came early & got everything situated with our officiant so we could be totally hands-off. A dj will make or break your event. Steve did whatever he could to make sure the day was perfect (even took photos on his personal camera for us since we only had one photographer & we didn’t even have to ask)! Book him! Thank you Steve!

Steve knows his music, can read a crowd, and creates a great environment
Steve Buzzard happened to be my team leader for a church Mexico outreach trip when I was in high school which was where I initially met him. He has DJed multiple weddings I have been to and everyone I talked to (close family and friends who were honest with me about the vendors they chose) was well pleased with their choice of Steve DJing their wedding. From these recommendations to personally knowing how personable, communicative, fun, and adaptable Steve is, our decision was easy to make and we were so glad we had Steve as our DJ! We had him the whole night (4pm-10pm). He had all age ranges of our wedding on the dance floor for fan favorites like the cupid shuffle and also for other songs throughout the night that were easy and fun to dance to. I am confident in saying you cannot go wrong with choosing Steve as your DJ!!

Mr. Buzzard is the absolute best! He was so easy and flexible to work with given that we had to change our venue last minute. He did everything for us and made our big day go off without a hitch! Highly recommend him for any event.

The two things I have learned from attending previous weddings and watching the tv show Four Weddings, is that the food and the DJ can really make or break your wedding. The food was great and so was Buzzardball DJ. He is super friendly and professional. He played all the songs we wanted, had clear announcements, and worked well with the changes in the timeline. He even took pictures throughout the day and sent them to us the next day. That was such a nice surprise because we didn’t know he was even taking pictures. The pictures are so good and provide a more candid look at the wedding that our photographer may have missed. I love the photos he got of the dads interacting with their daughters who were the flower girls. It is something I did not see because it was before the ceremony started. Our venue recommended him and we are so happy we hired him as our DJ. We absolutely recommend him to be the DJ for your wedding!

Where do I start! From beginning to end Steve was absolutely amazing! I cannot picture our big day going any better than it did with him as our DJ. He runs the show and just keeps everything flowing so perfectly, and he is just such a joy. We loved having the pleasure of meeting him, and just want to have more events so we can hire him again! Haha He did our wedding as well as my sisters and he is nothing but wonderful. We highly highly recommend him!

To say that Steve is the utmost professional is an understatement. Not only did Steve travel from Sacramento to San Juan Capistrano to DJ our wedding, he met with us several times to go over the timeline, what we expected from him and how exactly we wanted the wedding to run. It was the perfect evening for my wife and me. I have been to weddings where the dinner is disorganized, the guests don't know what is going on, you can't hear toasts and a variety of other nuances that can hamper a wedding. But Steve made sure that our wedding flowed smoothly and that everyone was happy and having a great time. He also knew the feel of the crowd and made sure that it was a party atmosphere. We didn't want any slow songs, and Steve made sure to keep the energy and party up the entire evening. Our wedding started at 3:30 and ended at 11. By this time, you would think people were ready to go home but there was still a full dance floor that was willing to keep the party going! This was all because of DJ Steve Buzzard.
I will definitely recommend Steve to all my friends and family!

We could not recommend Steve Buzzard more highly! He is extremely experienced, professional, creative, and fun. He was flexible in allowing our guests to request some crowd favorites, which they absolutely loved. We received so much positive feedback about Steve from our guests throughout the night. He was easy to work with and definitely exceeded our expectations. Not only did he play everything we requested, he really knew how to get the guests excited and into the celebrations. The next day, we were so pleasantly surprised to find that Steve had captured hundreds of gorgeous photos using his own camera, and sent us a link to the online gallery. It was such a fun way to re-live the magic of our wedding night. Not only are Steve's services very affordable, he is a very talented, easy-going, all-around fantastic wedding D.J.!

BuzzardBall DJ Emtertainment was the DJ for my wedding and I can honestly say he was the best DJ I have ever experienced. Right when my husband and I arrived at the reception, Steve came out to greet us and confirm exactly how we wanted the wedding party to be announced. I was nervous heading to the reception but he put me at ease immediately. He really knew how to ensure all the events of the reception flowed perfectly. I would 1,000% recommend BuzzardBall DJ Entertainment.

I don't even know where to start with how great Steve Buzzard was! If I could give any advice to someone searching for a DJ, is that a DJ will make or break your reception 100%. He personally has DJed 6 of my friends/families weddings besides mine because we all recommend him to one another. If you are looking for DJ to make your reception even better than you expected, I definitely suggest hiring Steve Buzzard. He allows you to choose your own timeline, music, and you can even add in your own personal details. Or, he has a perfect timeline already laid out, so if you just want him to go with that, he will do that as well. He is very flexible with time, he gets there early to set up and stays after to tear down, and the sound is always perfect. He's a very personable guy so he fits right in with all of the guests. If you are looking for a big party, he is definitely your guy! He knows how to be professional and have fun at the same time. 100% I recommend Steve Buzzard to anyone, he's the best I've ever seen!!

Stephen, I just need to let you know that you were an awesome DJ for our wedding this past Saturday the 25th!! You did a terrific job on keeping everything running smooth, adjusting to the change in time frames due to us running behind and including the guests. The little girls (and Rob) loved the ballerina music for them as well. We had many people come up to us saying what a great DJ you were. Steve is absolutely amazing!!! Words can't even do justice to how good he is!! He LOVES weddings and is sooo good at what he does!! He listens to EVERYTHING the bride and groom want for their special day and makes it perfect!! :) He made our night definitely one to remember! He even takes pictures too and will give them to you that night or next morning so you have a sneak peak even before your actual photos come in!!! I would recommend him HIGHLY!

We just got married and one of the things that made us the most nervous was picking the right DJ. We have been to several weddings where the DJ ruined the wedding so we wanted to make sure we picked the right one. We asked friends and family far and wide and several of our friends came back with the same DJ...Buzzardball. I am so glad we decided to trust our friends recommendations and go with Steve. He was a amazing, everyone loved him, the wedding went perfectly even when we had some last minute changes. Steve was amazing and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. We will certainly use him again! I would say he is 100% the best!

Steve came highly recommended from a friend of ours and she was absolutely right! We had such a great experience. Steve met with us several times before our big day and was always accessible when we needed to chat with him. He made sure that all of our needs were met and listen to all of our requests. We had our ceremony and reception done by Steve and he followed everything we asked precisely! It was an incredible day and Steve was such a huge part of that. He even took pictures and caught things on camera we didn’t even remember happening! We could not be happier with our choice in Steve for our DJ. He is HIGHLY recommended by us!

People say that the DJ runs the event - in this case, Stephen did and he most importantly, he did an amazing job! He pays attention to details, listens to your voice and incorporates all of that and more into his role at your wedding! He asked us for a song list (so he could play our favorite music), he made time to ask how to pronounce names for our introductions, and he took requests for songs throughout the night. From the grand entrance announcements to the end of the night, his energy got the party going and kept it there all night! He works around your schedule to meet you before the wedding so he can both get to know you and hear your vision for the day! He is EXTREMELY responsive to e-mails, phone calls and texts - which always put me at ease when planning the wedding ourselves. He even takes photos during the reception and has them to you the next day - there is nothing more you could ask for in a DJ! We are so glad to have connected with Stephen - he made our day run smoothly and kept it fun! Thanks so much for making our day extra special!.

Steve did an amazing job from start to finish. His announcing was clear and loud making it easy for everyone to hear. This made it extra special to us because we had some family members that are hearing impaired. If you want a dj that will keep the crowd dancing and having fun all night long then you should hire Steve. He has a great selection of music for all ages. We were very satisfied with his service and would highly recommend him! He was on top of EVERYTHING! We didn't have to worry about a thing, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day!

Choosing the right DJ was one of the most important aspects of wedding planning for my husband and I. I was referred to Steve by another couple who used him for their wedding about a year prior to ours. Steve's energy and love for weddings was clear to us during our initial meeting and we knew from the start that Steve was the perfect DJ for our wedding! Unlike other DJs we had interviewed, Steve made this experience all about us. He was easy to work with and responded quickly to my many emails. Steve made everything so easy for us - I provided him with our timeline and was able to relax on the big day knowing that Steve would make everything run smoothly and just how we wanted it. Steve's energy continued throughout the whole event and every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face. I truly believe that a DJ/music can make or break a wedding, and our dance floor was full the entire night! We had the best wedding and people are still talking about how great the evening was. Steve's hard work definitely contributed to the success of our event. Steve also got some great photos of our wedding and he emailed them the very next day. It was so cool to have those memories so soon! I highly reccomend Steve for anyone searching for a DJ for their wedding.

I have met and heard a lot of DJs as I have been an ASB Advisor for a high school and attended dozens of weddings and no one has matched Steve's quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value, and flexibility! Steve has that unique and rare ability to make you feel comfortable, whether as a bride or groom, or just attending the wedding or event. He possesses an incredible understanding of allowing the party/reception to flow with perfection. His song choices and playlists are the best I have ever heard. He truly can get anyone to come to the dance floor! There are so many details that contribute to a fantastic and memorable wedding and having an amazing, top quality DJ is so important. We had an amazing night and we owe a lot of that to Steve Buzzard. He kept our wedding on task and our guests thoroughly entertained.
