Best Decision

There are no words to accurately articulate the impact Butch had on our wedding day and the entire wedding planning process. Leading up to the day, he was incredibly flexible, organized, professional, and communicative. We originally hired him for a 2023 date and had to switch it to August of 2022 at the last minute, to which Butch confirmed his availability and accepted this change without hesitation. My husband and I had many requests in terms of song versions, timing, and even a live performance by a couple family members, which Butch worked into the schedule seamlessly less than a week prior to the wedding. We did not want a DJ that would MC all night, but rather would let the music speak for itself and make announcements only when needed - Butch did exactly that. Additionally, Butch was the calm presence my husband and I needed on our wedding day. He offered help in areas outside of his responsibilities and checked in on us at all the perfect times. Guests were on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and to this day, the DJ is the most talked about detail from our wedding. You will not regret booking Butch for your day, it will truly be the best decision you will make!

DJ Butch did a phenomenal job at our wedding. The guests loved him because he was so personable, he really felt apart of the day! Guests were on the dance floor all night. His communication was great throughout the process.

Butch is Too Notch!

Butch was amazing from the first time I contacted him about being a part of our wedding. He is very responsive and answered all of our questions as we planned our event. He didn’t miss a beat on the day of the wedding. Highly recommend Butch for any event you are planning.

July 26 2025!

I hired Butch for my summer July wedding and I can not recommend Butch enough!
He provided everything!
The reception was PERFECT. Every single entrance, speech, dances, were perfectly played. The dancing music was exactly what we asked for. Butch was the easiest vendor to work with. During the reception he worked so well with my photographers and venue to play things by ear for timing purposes and was flexible when we changed things and asked for songs. He was the life of the party and truly enjoys what he does.
I am SO happy to have had Butch apart of my special day and would recommend him to anyone!

Amazing DJ

Butch was absolutely amazing! From the start of the planning process, he was open to all questions and ideas. He helped us make great song choices for our reception and was able to help with the wireless mics for the ceremony and speeches. Everyone commented on how great the music was all night! Butch got the party going!

Butch made our wedding day so special! He was easy to work with and contact, and super helpful and organized during the planning process, and our day went so smoothly! The music vibe was perfect and he got the party going! Butch was a friend of my father who had passed away and he worked in a special song for him which was so memorable! Best DJ, Hands Down!!!!!

My husband and I are SO happy we chose Butch to MC/DJ at our wedding. He was FANTASTIC!! We chatted on the phone with Butch several times leading up to the event - he was personable, professional, and willing to work with us and help bring our visions to life. He offered suggestions for the ceremony/reception too which were great! On wedding day, we really appreciated the little things Butch did to help everything run smoothly.
For example, he checked in with the wedding party prior to introductions, to make sure he was pronouncing everyone's name correctly. Butch even recorded our entire ceremony, first dance, and champagne toasts as a keepsake. During the reception, the dance floor was never empty! He played all the songs we requested and threw in others to help keep the party going. Thanks Butch for helping to make our day so special!

Butch is an Incredible DJ!

Butch DJ'd our wedding last month and he was absolutely fantastic! Throughout the whole wedding process, he was super engaged and friendly while remaining very professional. He offered us advice whenever we had any question and was very responsive. He was enthusiastic even with some of our more silly or unconventional requests, and never once made us feel awkward about it.

He was very tuned in to the crowd and made sure there was music for all ages to dance to along and the crowd loved him! We are still getting complements about how great of a DJ he was a month later! He made us feel so confident in choosing him as our DJ. If I could rate him higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I recommend him to anyone!

DJ Butch was amazing! As a "type A" bride with a vision he truly brought it to life and was more than happy to help in anyway he could. I had a few out of the ordinary moments in my wedding and he rolled with it and made sure what I wanted happened. The dance floor was packed all night long! The best!

Butch is the absolute BEST!!! He DJed our wedding May of 2024. He kept the dance floor pumped up the entire night! We did not give him any playlists, we just let him do his thing and he did not disappoint!! He also helped us stick to our timeline & made sure all our formalities were completed. We got so many compliments from guests on how bumpin the dance floor was. He was always so positive through the planning process and checked in regularly with us to make sure we were excited and ready to go!!

Butch was truly the MVP of our wedding in June 2024. From day 1, he brought positive, kind, and loving energy to the planning of our special day. He checked in with us several times and reassured us throughout the worries and stress of pre-wedding planning!

Happily ever after party

We hosted a wedding celebration. 6 months after my son and son-in-law tied the knot. They requested a rocking dance party, with none of the conventional trappings of a traditional wedding reception. Butch asked for some guidance, such as favorite artists and styles of music they disliked. I was able to reach Butch via text or email almost instantaneously when questions arose. His attire matched the vibe of the party-classic casual-and he started off the party with nice background music. However once dinner was consumed, the dance floor was packed for the rest of the night. He picked up on the vibe of the moment and all of his song choices were built on that. He was unobtrusive, yet still an integral part of the celebration. He was recommended by Creative Concepts by Lisa and did not disappoint. He will make your celebration exactly what you envision! Do not hesitate to hire Butch for any of your music needs-he is the BEST!

Butch Gray was the best DJ we could have asked for. Leading up to the event he was extremely professional, responsive, and helpful with all our questions. He walked us through the whole process and made us feel at ease very early on. When we asked for a cellist to play during our ceremony he said not to worry. In just a short time he found us an amazing cellist which made our special day even more special. During our reception he created an unforgettable atmosphere with both his MCing and DJing. The dance floor was packed the entire night. All of our guests raved about his music choices and some even said they couldn't take a break from dancing because they could never miss the next song. Butch made our day so incredible and we cant thank him enough. We highly recommend him for any time you need a DJ!

Top notch! Talent for getting everyone on the dance floor!

My husband and I hired Butch for our wedding at Eolia mansion at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT for our June 2023 wedding and could not have been more pleased with our decision! First of all he has a great online software that makes curating your favorites and must-plays as well as "do not plays" super easy and he was always readily available to meet with us before the big day. During the reception, he did a great job feeling out the vibe of our guests and which songs would get as many people as possible out onto the dance floor. He also has a talent for remixing songs with beat drops etc that our friends - all in their 20s and 30s - were really impressed with and still talk about how fun it was to throw it down on the dance floor at our wedding and that it rivaled and was better than many clubs they had been to! He will listen to whatever preferences you have but also don't be afraid to trust him and his talent because there is a reason he has been in the business for so many years! We also decided last-minute (literally night before) that we wanted to have pre-ceremony and during ceremony music and Butch seamlessly made it happen and brought the extra speakers for this and mics for my husband and our officiant. At a very affordable price, especially for everything that you get with Butch's talent and services, we could not recommend him more highly!! - Caroline and Andrew

Best Wedding DJ!

We hired Butch as our DJ for our wedding in May 2023 and it was the best decision we could have made. He made everything so easy right from the start. We had access to a website to add songs, create a timeline, list our wedding party and add any details. He was extremely responsive to emails and texts. We also did a flash mob and he dropped by the dance studio to see the dance and timing of everything so he was prepared on our wedding day. We was a very calm voice during planning especially when I switched some song close to the wedding date. He offered many suggestions for ceremony music and music for the wedding party and us to walk down the aisle to. He was a life saver and we’re so happy we chose him! You certainly won’t be disappointed. He is an absolute professional and a great guy as well!

Great Experience!

Butch brings excellent energy to every conversation. He is clearly experienced and we didn’t have to worry about anything on our wedding day. So many of our guests commented on how great he was. He had the dance floor full from the opening song until the end of the night!! He had the perfect balance between emceeing and letting the music “speak” for itself. He made sure to play a little something for all generations and it felt like he always had the perfect song queued up next. We would recommend Butch to anyone!! He was incredible to work with from start to finish, always available and checking in on us to make sure things were ready to go before the wedding day. A DJ With Heart and Talent!

When looking for wedding vendors, it was important for us to find people who cared; boy did we find that with Butch! From day one, Butch was incredibly friendly, kind, and a calm presence during a process that can be stressful. We booked Butch for our Covid-19 're-do' in 2022, 2 years after our original plan. I loved his website structure that allowed me to add our "must-haves", likes, and do-not-plays. I was also able to input all of the information about specific songs for each big moment during the ceremony and reception, such as ceremony music, first dances, and cake cutting. Each moment went off without a hitch and I kept thinking "Hey! This is the song I wanted to hear during this moment!" Our guests absolutely loved the entire vibe of the wedding which was brought over the top by Butch's incredible skills! Our families and guests all commented on how wonderful and personable Butch was, which meant a lot to us. We wanted vendors who represented us as a couple in terms of how they engage, and Butch truly excels at this! We were also so impressed by how well Butch worked with our other vendors and our venue. Everything felt so cohesive and flowed so beautifully. Butch was incredibly flexible; when our toasts location unexpectedly switched at the last minute when the rain let up after the ceremony, he jumped right in and moved his equipment outside to document the moment . He was right there when we needed him and recorded the toasts from family and friends that we will treasure forever. We were also so impressed by how well Butch worked with our other vendors and our venue. This is exactly the type of vendor you want leading up to and on your big day! He absolutely delivered on everything we were hoping for and more!! THANK YOU!

The perfect day

We can’t say enough good things about Butch who we hired for our wedding at the birchwoods in Woodbridge on 10/22/22.
Through the entire process he went above and beyond making it known right off the bat he was available for anything we needed. He arrived on time, and setup music for 3 separate areas in our venue with a huge smile on his face, we were so comfortable with him we felt like he was a part of our family, he ROCKED the place, he kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night and even cleared a path for our conga line!

Detail oriented and calming

Butch really put us at ease during our wedding planning. Butch Gray was amazing. From the very beginning he was easy to communicate with and flexible with any changes we had. We are so happy we hired Butch as the DJ for our wedding! He was so easy to work with and only wanted to make sure that we felt heard and had a great time. We really felt like we could trust him, and he's been doing this for so long, that he had it down to a science. That being said, he adjusts very well to what the couple's personal music preference is. Our family is hard because there is a mix of 3 very different genres, but he was able to put them all together seamlessly to make sure everyone was having a great time. We were so glad to have worked with Butch, and I would recommend to anyone!

Best DJ Ever!!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience when we started our DJ planning with Butch. He was so attentive and thoughtful in the planning process. He came out to see our wedding site multiple times and was so interested in how he could put his special touch on our day. We hired Butch on a recommendation from our photographer and we're so happy we did! He was so helpful and flexible when we had to move our wedding because of COVID. He's one of the nicest people you'll meet and he will make sure your ceremony and reception have the perfect music. I hired Butch Gray DJ for my October 2021 wedding and it was the best decision by far! Butch had all of the supplies necessary, added some additional lighting and was able to help our guests dance the night away with a wedding that they’ll never forget. One of the best DJ's out there!

Butch Gray is a class act! He is professional, talented, courteous, supportive and is one of the best DJs I've worked with to date. I was so impressed by his demeanor from the very first phone call with my clients through til the end of the evening of the wedding! As a wedding planner, it makes a world of difference to work with other vendors who truly care about our mutual clients and their thorough enjoyment of their wedding day. Butch Gray was helpful and accommodating when our day hit a bit of a snag due to weather and he adjusted with ease. He is positive, fun, kind and has a very welcoming personality which I felt was so respectful for all guests, family, friends, vendors, venue staff, etc.

Butch was simply phenomenal! He was able to keep our small wedding so high energy it felt like we had a room full of a hundred people! He was so flexible with us as we had so many changes throughout the planning process. He was willing to work with us regardless of what our contract stated, he just wanted us to have the best wedding we could. He was so helpful in planning meetings and his tool was easy and fun for us to use! We asked him last minute to do all the ceremony music and he was even willing to jump in the day of to marry us when we thought we were without an officiant. All of our guests raved about him! Phenomenal

Butch is amazing!! From the first time we facetimed him about our music desires for the wedding, he has been nothing but helpful. Due to Covid-19 we had to change our wedding date twice and he was nothing but attentive to the situation. He didn't ask questions, he simply responded promptly to me and said we will make this work. He didn't ask for more money, or to pay my balance in full. He switched everything over without hesitation.
My fiancé and I can't wait until next year to have him DJ our event. We are BIG music people and know he is going to kill the music game. If you are looking for a DJ, he is your man!

The best DJ you could have

Butch was an amazing DJ and made our wedding completely unforgettable. He made sure to stick with not only what I wanted, but also made sure that nobody gave speeches that I didn’t want to give speeches. He made sure the night was all about us, and our guests raved for weeks about how much fun they had because of him. The best around!

We went to a wedding that Butch DJed and immediately knew we had to have him do our own wedding! Not only was the music great but he did an excellent job of keeping things on schedule. This is such an important but overlooked element of a wedding. Without an experienced and well organized DJ, the entire flow of the wedding can be ruined. Prior to the wedding, Butch spent the time to speak with us about our music styles, wedding format and what our ideal wedding day looked like. He lets you add songs of your choosing to an online portal so that you can ensure certain songs are definitely played/definitely NOT played.

Our wedding was absolutely amazing and I cannot tell you how many people came up to us after complimenting our DJ choice. I’ve never seen a dance floor so packed.

One of the best things about Butch is that he mixes up the playlist to appeal to all age groups. Our grandparents spent as much time on the dance floor as our 25 year old friends did!

All I can say is look no further. DJ Butch Gray is the best around - he will ensure both you and your guests enjoy the wedding.

Is there a friendlier DJ out there?

Butch came highly recommended by family, and after our first planning session we knew he would be an excellent fit. We worked with him on our order of events, and picking the perfect soundtrack to key moments was a breeze. He also had a simple and user-friendly web portal for making song requests. Every step of the way was enjoyable thanks to his professionalism!

During our big day, Butch was the epitome of a friendly, energetic, and conscientious MC. He kept things moving at just the right pace.

The sound quality was top notch and glitch-free during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. For the ceremony and cocktail hour Butch worked with the musician we hired to ensure the sound was perfect.

One last thing - we highly recommend having Butch record your ceremony and toasts. Your wedding day will be a blur and you will want those memories to keep forever!

Still getting compliments about this DJ

From the initial phone call during planning, to the last song of the night, Butch was genuinely kind, professional, thoughtful, and attentive. His experience shows. When we first met face-to-face, I offhandedly complained about my makeup vendor. Well, Butch made a phone call and actually helped me to find someone new. He didn't have to do that, but he did and I was so appreciative. I told him how my then-fiance was not much of a dancer, but Butch's music got him to dance! Several times! On the day-of, Butch positively NAILED the music. We had tons of requests and he played 'em all (and didn't play a single song on my do-not-play list). The music transitions were just bananas. No way an iPhone and a speaker could have come anywhere close to the music and energy that night. You know you have a good DJ when more than half of your guests stay until the last song. I'm writing this review two weeks after our wedding, and I'm still getting compliments about how fun our wedding was. A DJ can make or break your wedding. Butch helped make our wedding what it was: perfect.

Perfect in every way!!

Butch was incredibly responsive and was available for multiple meetings before our wedding. He kept in touch, answered all of our questions and put our minds at ease throughout the entire planning process. The actual day was better than we could have hoped for and we heard all night long how great the DJ was. One piece of advice - don’t feel like you have to create the playlist. Enter your must, must not plays, and special songs, and leave the rest up to Butch. He’s a professional in every way and made our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception unforgettable!

Awesome DJ!

Highly recommend DJ Butch Gray! He DJ'd a wedding we were at a couple years ago and we had to have him for ours! Fun, enthusiastic, great flow and knows how to read the crowd. Butch was awesome and went above and beyond our requests. He took our playlist, half Spanish/half English, and perfectly played them to keep everyone dancing all night. I can't speak highly enough of Butch. He was so professional, helpful, and excited throughout the entire process. We were worried that, because we had an older crowd at our wedding, the dance floor would be empty. However, Butch was so skilled that it was packed the entire night! Butch was an amazing DJ for our wedding! He was fun, professional, easy to work with and went way above and beyond our expectations. He coordinated the sound equipment for the ceremony as well, and surprised us with an audio recording of the entire ceremony, which is so spectacular. Butch is the best DJ we have ever encountered, and we've been to a lot of weddings. He made our wedding everything we could have hoped for and more. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Every. Single. Second. In fact, the dance floor had so many people dancing and was so fun, that we elected to SKIP the cake cutting because we didn't want to take away from the party. We also had an early bus returning to the hotel, but no one took it. They were having too much fun. Butch arrived well before our event and was ready to go when guests arrived. He played exactly the types of music we were looking for at all points in the evening- cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. He also adjusted the volume of the music to ensure a great atmosphere for all guests. Butch didn't skip a single song we requested, and we requested tons of songs. He also recorded all the speeches (something we forgot to do on our own) and shared some great videos he took from behind the DJ booth. It is impossible to overstate the value of Butch. He was a game changer. He was attentive throughout the entire planning process and responded promptly to our calls and questions (something that was lacking in other wedding vendors) He's polite, professional and attentive to details. You only get one shot at a wedding. If you want a phenomenal DJ and dance floor, choose Butch. You won't regret it.

Hiring DJ Butch was a fantastic decision for our wedding. We had originally looked at getting a band but we're so glad we went with Butch instead. His prices are very reasonable and the level of service is wonderful. Butch has a great website where couples can plan the itinerary for the reception and create their must play and do not play list. It was great to be able to login to Butch's site and plan all the music and speeches for our wedding. Butch was also great about doing video calls with us during the planning process as we live out of state. He was very helpful and responsive during planning. At the reception Butch was fantastic. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night. He respected our music preferences and did a great job using them to get everyone on the dance floor and keep the party going all night. He has a great announcing voice and all of his announcements were very professional and never an annoying interruption. He kept the music at a great volume for cocktail hour and dinner so that our guests could have conversations and during the dancing he turned it up but not too loud so people could still hear each other. He also did a great lighting package for us that took the reception space to the next level. Overall I would highly recommend hiring DJ Butch for your wedding!

My husband and I could not be happier with our selection of DJ Butch Gray as the DJ for our wedding. We had a black tie preferred wedding at a mansion in Connecticut, and knew that we wanted a DJ rather than a band for a few reasons, but were anxious about finding a DJ who would fit with the elegant theme of our wedding, while also creating a fun and energetic environment. DJ Butch is the perfect combination of everything we were looking for. Leading up to the wedding, he was very easy to communicate with, and his system for selecting music ahead of time was straightforward. We happened to have quite a few songs on our “must play list,” but DJ Butch did a perfect job of recommending additional songs that went along well with our style, and, most importantly, read our crowd flawlessly on the day of the wedding. Our dance floor was full with happy guests from the moment dinner was over, and we have already had several friends ask for his information for their own weddings (who aren’t even yet engaged!). Additionally, he was very receptive and responsive to us all during the wedding, both to my husband and I in terms of volume or timing, and to guests in playing their song requests or answering questions. DJ Butch was also a wonderfully friendly and considerate vendor and advocate for us as bride and groom – he made us feel comfortable and excited for our wedding, and he also worked very well with our other wedding vendors. We had a string quartet for our ceremony, and DJ Butch was happy to help by providing sound equipment for the ceremony space, and the transition from live instruments to his music was smooth. We are so very pleased with DJ Butch, and personally recommend him without any hesitation!

We planned our wedding in 6 months so things were very hectic but we knew right away that we could trust Butch to make sure our wedding night was a success. And he came through. People haven't stopped raving about how much fun the wedding was and we owe that to Butch. The dance floor was packed all night. I would recommend Butch to anyone that is looking for a professional and personable DJ that knows what it takes to make your wedding day one to remember! Thanks again Butch!

Mr. Butch Gray was an excellent entertainer.
He was on time, well prepared, and professional. Butch also offered to help anytime he could.
He certainly made sure everybody from children to seniors were involved in dancing and in generally in creating a great atmosphere.
I intend to keep his contact for future events, and my friends who participated to the event have already asked about him.

Butch is a true professional. In April 2018 Best Buddies CT held a prom for its members. Butch keep the entire crowd on the dance floor for 5 hours. His energy and excitement was not lost on the kids. This is the 4th year for the event and Butch made it better than ever. We could not have had a better DJ. If you are considering a DJ for your event, Butch should be your guy!

Butch was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual, positive, upbeat and most of all professional. I have never been to an event where the DJ kept the dance floor full for an entire two hours. It was a terrific event. We would love to work with Butch again in the future.

Butch was the DJ at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! The dance floor was packed the entire night, even as the bride I spent most of my night dancing. More than the amazing job he did for us the night of the wedding, he is a wonderful person. My husband and I met with him several times to go over timing for the day and the playlist for the day of. He was so helpful and friendly we started thinking of him as more of a friend than our DJ. He was the perfect choice for our big day!

We hired Butch for our July wedding. Butch was a pleasure to work with all around. He was very flexible, had great energy, and honestly most importantly was that he was very calm and poised during every interaction. This may seem like a strange thing to include in a review for your DJ, but the day itself and those leading up to it can be very stressful and everything has a sense of urgency. I found that when speaking with Butch, he actually calmed me down by his demeanor, not to mention the music was great! We even had a little rain during the best man's speech outside, although it lasted only a few minutes, Butch handled it perfectly, definitely recommend!

Butch is amazing. Kind, fun, organized, and knows how to keep a party going! He was so kind when he knew my husband and I had a really unfortunate wedding day. We were sad and disappointed and tried to make the best of it, but Butch was great and so understanding. 110% would recommend!

DJ Butch Gray is a one-of-a-kind DJ. We booked him a year in advance to be sure we secured his talent for my son’s wedding at Jay Peak in VT this past October. He did not disappoint! He offered custom song choices well in advance of the big day and even worked with the bride on giving the groom a special surprise during the event. Not only did we have all our favorite music, the lighting he provided was outstanding and he even took requests that evening. Butch arrived on time and ROCKED the entire night! He had our guests “hanging from the rafters!” Highly recommend this professional DJ not only for a wedding but for any time you need music to liven up an party. Jay Peak Resort hasn’t been the same since DJ Butch Gray entertained our guests!

Not just a dj but supportive of you the whole wedding through! From the moment he gets there, he checks in with you and doesn't ask about the music because he already has that togethwr but asks how you're doing and encourages you through any nerves! He reads a crowd incredibly, knows when to play softly for background music and then plays the best dance songs until the very end! We got so many compliments on having such a good time on the dance floor and only butch could've provided that!

We are so happy that we chose Butch Gray to be the DJ for our wedding. During the months leading up to the big day, he kept in touch via phone and email regarding payments and how to use the online portal to choose songs and communicate the schedule. We chose quite a few songs for our "must play" list, and he played all of them. We decided not to fill every moment with requests, so we left quite a bit up to his discretion. He was able to judge our taste from our previous choices and played a variety of music that kept our guests dancing the whole time! He was also great at emceeing portions of the reception, such as the cake cutting or bouquet toss, in a fun and tasteful manner. I could not recommend Butch Gray enough!

Butch was extremely professional and easy to work with. Every time i contacted him or met with him he was always extremely excited and eager to help. My husband and I loved working with Butch! For the very first phone call, we knew he was out DJ. He was so easy to talk to and very professional at the same time. He kept in touch about the little details. We also had him play music for our processional. He has an online portal where you can create a play list (and a do not play list) which was really liked. I had a special mix of a song for my father/daughter dance and he was very excited to help us make it happen. We were so impressed with Butch!

We had a very eclectic range of music that we wanted played at our wedding, it was important to blend old/new together and keep everyone on the dance floor. Butch was the DJ for our Indian ceremony and reception. He was incredibly flexible leading up to the event, taking the time to speak with me about music and logistics multiple times, and accommodated all of our many requests without any issues. Butch was an amazing DJ. You can have great food, open bar and a beautiful venue, but elevating a reception from a "nice celebration" to an unforgettable party hinges on great music and a proper MC. Butch hit the mark 100%.

We had to conduct Skype interviews for our vendors because the wedding was in CT but we live in Boston. Our first interview with Butch was excellent. He was enthusiastic, warm, and above all, he assured us that he would be whatever kind of DJ we wanted him to be. While it was clear Butch could be a "life of the party" DJ and be very interactive, we made it clear we wanted a passive DJ without any line dances, props or corny/awkward "activities". He was beyond accommodating and approached the conversation with a completely open mind.

We also had a large "do not play list" in mind. Butch set us up with an account for his online program where we could designate "Do Not Play", "Must Play" and "Play if You Can" tracks from his extensive collection of songs. He said he'd happily add to his collection if there were specific tracks he didn't (although this wasn't necessary). While this process made it easy for him to select songs through his software, Butch also took the extra time to ask us about what kind of music we wanted so he could get an idea of our personalities. Had we not provided him a Do Not Play list, we're confident he would still have been able to select the right tracks that made our reception a great party.

We still get compliments on our wedding, many of them singing Butch's praises. We wish we knew more people getting married in CT so we could make personal recommendations for Butch. He was professional, reliable, easy to work with and didn't try to up-sell us. Best in the business!

My husband and I cannot say enough nice things about Butch. He was incredibly responsive, he was able to accommodate all of our special requests (and we had quite a few), and from beginning to end he was an utter delight to work with. Butch both provided sound equipment for our ceremony and DJed our reception, and at every step of the way he was providing service above and beyond our expectations. As a for instance, before my husband and I even arrived at our reception venue, Butch had emailed us a recording of the ceremony! There was also a point during the reception when it began to rain, and we had a video game set up with lounge furniture on the patio. Before I could even flag down party members to help move everything indoors, Butch came over and asked how he could assist.
My husband and I feel that Butch genuinely improved our day immeasurably.

We had an great experience with DJ Butch Gray. He played at our May 28th wedding and we could not have asked for more. He set the mood perfectly throughout the entire evening. DJ Butch Gray was the perfect choice for our wedding, and we knew it as soon as we met him. Butch is really nice and easy-going, and he made us feel comfortable right away by listening, rather than throwing us a sales pitch. We told him that we wanted a DJ who could read the crowd and keep people dancing, who wouldn’t have dead air between songs, or fill up time with cheezy talk. Butch sincerely assured us he could deliver what we were asking, and he did. He limited his time on the mic to just intros and announcements, and otherwise kept the night going smoothly with music alone. He had a nice soundtrack during the reception and dinner that people could talk over and when it was time to dance he knew how to mix and shuffle just right to get everyone dancing. Butch respected our “do not play” list and tactfully worked with our guests when they requested songs. He’s got a great smile and a gentle demeanor that helped smooth over any requests that were ‘outlawed’ by us. We’ve been to over a dozen other weddings in the past two years and there was never a tighter sound and a nicer DJ than Butch Gray. Our friends have all agreed that our wedding was one of the most fun they’ve ever been to, and that’s thanks in no small part to Butch nailing it. Thanks so much!

Selecting the music for your wedding can be a difficult process. Choosing Butch as our DJ was one of the easiest choices we could make. Meeting him it was like we knew him our whole life!
