This Venue is an ALL in one. Completely stress free! We can not say enough about the entire staff, from our Event Coordinator to Chef Penny. Our guest ALL expressed the beauty, elegance, and quality of the food. Thank you does not cover how happy and appreciative we were for having our wedding at this gorgeous venue.

Amazing Team to Work with!!

I utilized the burge club for my rehearsal dinner and they far exceeded my expectations! The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the event. Hadley, their event coordinator, was so easy to work with. I also let her handle florals for the event and they turned out beautifully! Everything looked great with I got there. The food was also super delicious and I received several compliments from guests. This venue is truly a hidden gem!!!

Excellent venue!

My daughter's wedding was at Burge Plantation on June 15, 2019. The staff was professional, Audrey, their wedding planner, was awesome, the food was delicious, hats off to the chef! The grounds, cabins, buildings, tables, etc. were exceptional, very well maintained. It was a perfect wedding, we could relax and enjoy our day! Burge Plantation exceeded our expectations. I highly recommended it!

My daughter was recently married at Burge Plantation. This incredible wedding venue far exceeded our expectations! The setting was beautiful and the property well maintained. Dawn was an excellent coordinator to work with. She was very attentive and detailed oriented. Dawn was also a calm presence that was much needed during a very stressful time. We were battling the weather on the day of the wedding and Dawn did everything possible so that my daughter could still have her wedding outdoors, as planned. I witnessed Dawn personally wipe down over two hundred rain soaked chairs, not only once, but TWICE before the guests arrived. Chef Andrew helped created a delicious appetizer and wedding menu that all guests enjoyed. The Burge staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout the day to do what was needed. A nice touch at the end of the reception included the owner of Burge checking on our wedding experience and satisfaction, which was wonderful!

We were so pleased our daughter and son-in-law chose Burge for their wedding venue. Burge's wedding planner, Dawn, was always prepared to answer our questions and to ask us important questions. The rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception were all a huge success. The property is just beautiful! Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was - the choices Burge has are wonderful. We attended the food tasting where you can sample many of the offerings. Our guests are also telling us how relaxed everyone seemed - no stress - because the staff did such an amazing job that everything flowed so smoothly and we were able to enjoy all of it!

After almost giving up hope on finding an all around affordable yet quality venue, my fiancé and I stumbled upon Burge Plantation. We reached out for information and immediately knew we had found THE place. The pricing is what we first noticed about Burge and how it was something that we could afford and still be able to have a honeymoon too. Then we met with Dawn who quickly was able to answer any questions we had as well as being very flexible in being able to meet and discuss your dream wedding. The responses we received even a year out in our planning process made us feel like our event was the only event for the next twelve months. We were always included in each tasting and even went twice because it was that amazing. At the tastings you not only get to gain confidence in the chef but the service you will receive as well. When storms this year knocked down a tree Burge was quick to clean up and the grounds were always well maintained. There are also so many places to take pictures. Dawn made sure to ask every question so I didn’t even have to worry about forgetting anything. In our trips up to the venue in the weeks before every staff member was friendly and willing to help and even let you know that they are looking forward to your big day just like they were a guest. Dawn handeled the rehearsal and managed all of our different family members effortlessly. On the day of she made sure to keep us in the loop, send pictures, and ask questions. She knew what we wanted and made it even better than we could have ever imagined. Dawn and her team are unbelievable. They were all smiling and helpful. The food was the best wedding food all of our guests have ever had. Chef Andrew helped customize a menu that fit us as a couple and everyone is still talking about it. Burge isn’t a their way or no way place. They customize and create the wedding of your dreams and my husband and I can’t thank Dawn, Chef Andrew, and the amazing Burge staff enough.

Our recent experience hosting a rehearsal dinner at Burge Plantation was everything we had hoped it would be for our guests. Planning the event with Dawn and the whole team at Burge was easy, from the menu to the tables to the tents and stage for the band. Burge was our dream wedding venue! The entire staff made sure that every detail was flawless and it was a night to remember. Dawn was incredible from start to finish. She was such a pleasure to spend time with, was helpful with every question big or small at all hours of the day and had fun with us as well. Staying at the property helped relieve stress and gave us a ton of comfort. All of our guests could not stop raving about the food, many of our guests are in the restaurant or hospitality industry and said it was the best food they ever ate. Burge was my husband's choice of venue and I am so lucky to have found Burge and to have a wedding that could not be topped!

Where do I even begin?! There are no words that could describe how amazing everything about Burge Plantation is. I have been going to Burge every since I was a little girl, so when my fiance and I started the wedding planning process we immediately knew that we wanted to have our wedding at Burge and it could not have been more perfect. I could go on and on, so I will try and point out some of the highlights (even though everything about the entire weekend was a highlight). The food - absolutely delicious! Chef Andrew is truly talented and our guests were raving about the menu all night. The venue - simply stunning. We had our ceremony on the front lawn of the main house and the reception (dinner and dancing) in and around the Conservatory. What originally had me "sold" on the location for the reception was the floor to ceiling windows, the outdoor patios, and the overall simplicity which allowed for tons of gorgeous natural light. The staff - inviting, incredible service, and easy to work with (you never had to tell them anything twice). The wedding planning process and cite visits - easy and not stressful. Lastly, Dawn - the wedding coordinator - who deserves her own category. Dawn is a true angel and does her job perfectly. From start to end, she made the entire process fun and really enjoyable! Dawn is the type of person, which I know all brides and their family's appreciate, that you never have to tell her anything twice. She is incredibly efficient and very detailed (which I really appreciated). She was by my side every step of the way, and on my wedding day. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. Dawn made our wedding day - and the entire weekend - absolutely perfect and a true dream come true! Burge Plantation is the perfect place for a wedding! Thank you guys for everything!

My husband and I were married at the Oakhill Farmhouse at Burge Plantation last week. We could not be more pleased with everything that Burge has to offer. From the moment we toured the property and met Dawn, we knew without a doubt that Burge would be the perfect wedding venue for us. Everything and everyone absolutely exceeded our expectations! Our daughter was recently married at the Farmhouse at Oakhill at Burge Plantation.
From the moment we first visited with Dawn, the wedding coordinator, we knew we were in good hands. Her kind, patient demeanor was a breath of fresh air as we were making wedding plans. I wanted to plan an elegant luncheon for my Niece's Bridal Party and WOW did Dawn Leonetti ever deliver. I met with Dawn and took her advice as she presented options on the room, table arrangements and food. Dawn incorporated "special details" into the occasion with her personal touch. She handled everything, even providing the flowers from the Burge Plantation. Such a beautiful table.... Kudos to the Chef for a scrumptious meal - the food was excellent. And, many thanks to our attentive servers who were personable and engaging. The entire day was Amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about Burge Plantation. The wedding coordinator, Dawn, is extremely responsive, encouraging, and organized! She made the venue planning a breeze. My wedding day was smooth and enjoyable thanks to Dawn and the staff at Burge Plantation. Besides the beautiful scenery, my favorite part was the food- everything was DELICIOUS! Wow, just Wow. I knew from the moment I stepped foot on the Burge property that this was IT but it exceeded my highest expectations! The setting was stunning, the planner was the bomb.com, and the food was out of this world; everything was amazing!

First and foremost, Dawn, she is beyond amazing!!!! She was incredibly helpful, fun to be around and calming from the moment you sit down with her to plan all the little details it takes to make a perfect weekend. Dawn is the complete package and I couldn't have done it without her. She was so wonderful to work with and made our magical day come to life. She was so organized and made everything FLAWLESS!! (Coming from an incredibly OCD Bride!)

Next, the FOOD. O.M.G THE FOOD!!!! I only wish I could have more as I am salivating just thinking about it. Actually, we might just go back to the next tasting to enjoy it again! :) But really, Chef Andrew made the weekend. David and I are huge foodies and every meal just blew us (and all of our guests) completely out of the water. Plump Bacon Wrapped Scallops to Organic Free-Range Chicken to a Chicken and Waffles Brunch and to end the weekend with Shrimp and Grits, Veggie Mac and Cheese and the most delicious tenderloin you will ever put in your mouth.

This venue is the perfect package. It is a beautiful setting where elegance and the outdoors meet. We were married between two beautiful large trees in the front lawn with a beautiful plantation home in the background. Our guests weren't even off the grassy lawn before being greeted with a glass of champagne on the 15 step walk to the reception site through the Chef Andrew's Herb Garden. The reception area was amazing being able to have both an indoor and outdoor setup. Our guests were able to enjoy games, amazing hors d'oeuvres, fireplaces and firepits in this amazing setting while they waited for our arrival.

We couldn't have had more of a perfect weekend, thank you Burge!!!!!!!

n my opinion, there is no other wedding venue that I have been to or toured that even came close to the Burge Plantation. The property is breathtakingly beautiful and offers the perfect mix of outdoor farm style wedding with a classy and charming twist. The conservatory, which is where we had our reception was perfect! It allowed our guests to be both indoors and outdoors, which helped me stress less as a bride and having to worry about what to do if it rained on my wedding day. In addition to the beautiful surroundings, the food was incredible! All of our guests, loved the food and there are so many options available. I had several people tell us that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding before! Including the property and amazing food the thing that will always impress me about the burge is how incredible each and every staff member was from the beginning to end. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, made sure my husband and I had an amazing wedding day. She went the extra mile and to me that is priceless and something that is rare in the wedding industry. I cannot say enough good things about the Burge Plantation! I will always be so thankful and blessed to have had the wedding of my dreams at the Burge and would recommend it to any bride, couple, or parents looking for the perfect venue that has it all!

What a magical most perfect weekend our wedding was! Thank you for all of your hard work, phone calls, emails, planning meetings, etc. Your talent was seen throughout the weekend. It's evident that you love your job as you run aound with a huge smile on your face making sure all "demands" as met...and there were lots of them. From the elegant outdoor luncheon to the hayride, from delicious brunches to a successful ceremony and even more success party, I can't say thank you enough! It was even better than what I've dreamed of since age 4. It was a perfect weekend from beginning to end. Thank you for ALL you did for us. I wish we could hit replay and do it all over again. I guess we'll have to renew our vows one day....or maybe a baby shower at Burge. We'll see!

I don’t know what to say or how to say it but “WOW”. You two pulled off the most meticulous, enjoyable, fun, delicious, and memorable wedding of the century! Over my 70+ years I have been to a lot of events, weddings etc., but none that went off without a hitch or complaint. This wedding had neither! Our guests from Michigan, Chicago, New York and Miami were so amazed from the start of the evening on Friday night until after breakfast on Sunday morning and continued to praise the food, the accommodations and the whole place. Dawn, I have never seen anyone so organized, do so many things at one time and always smiling! Andrew, there were so many complements on the food and your interaction with the guests, that I cannot even begin to count them! I don’t know how you do it. I was a guest at our friend's daughter's wedding recently and want to thank Dawn for a wonderful weekend! We had a really nice time and the property is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot say enough great things about Burge Plantation, Dawn, and her entire staff! Dawn, the wedding coordinator at Burge, was beyond amazing. She took care of every last detail, was extremely easy to work with, and made our special day stress-free. We had a plated meal for our rehearsal dinner at Paula’s Porch and a buffet-style dinner for the wedding reception, and all of the food was delicious! We had Drive Time, a Covington-based group, as our wedding band and they were fantastic. The grounds at Burge Plantation are breathtaking and we really could not have asked for a better wedding experience. The food for the rehearsal dinner was delicious, the setting was beautiful and all of the wedding day details were taken care of to the letter. Burge Plantation is a beautiful place for a wedding and reception with Southern charm. The Burge Plantation was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding!! From the moment we walked onto the grounds and saw all of the beautiful trees, reception hall, and cottages we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. My husband is an arborist and we got married in front of the main house under two Post Oak trees. The Burge Plantation even let him climb the trees the morning of our wedding to hang lanterns for our ceremony. The wedding planner Dawn is amazing! She is absolutely on top of everything 100%. We currently live in Ohio but are both from Georgia so we had to plan our wedding from out of state. I sent many emails back and forth to Dawn and she always responded quickly and was very thorough. We were able to taste most of our food before hand at the food tasting in January and there we met our photographer, florist, and minister. All of whom are excellent!!! From the flowers to music and food everything was just the way we wanted. The Burge also provides two cottages during the day for the bridal party to hang out and get ready. This was perfect for us because we had several relatives from out of state who we able to come early and spend time with us during the day. The girls cottage also becomes the honeymoon suite at night, so my husband and I didn't have to drive anywhere and we woke up to the gorgeous scenery of the Burge Plantation. Our wedding day was the best day so far and we are so unbelievably happy to have chosen the Burge Planation as our venue. We hope to return through out the years and continue to have wonderful memories there. Thank you to the entire staff at the Burge and Dawn for making our wedding day magical!!

My daughter just got married at Burge Plantation 4 days ago. I cannot say how very happy and satisfied her father and I were the entire staff and property. Dawn, the event coordinator, was wonderful and did everything to make or daughter's dream wedding come true. I really like how the staff set up and cleaned up after the wedding had to end. I like that there were many choices the ceremony could take place. Parking for the guest was so easy and the grounds are beautiful. The list of vendors provided by Dawn made choosing cake, DJ,, photographer, and flowers so much easier. Thank you Burge Planation for such a beautiful event in our family's history.

My husband and I got married at Burge on October 10, and had been planning our wedding there for over a year and a half. While the property itself is worth every penny, Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was by far the best part of our decision to have our wedding at Burge. She ensures that everything is exactly how you want it and is sure to let you know of all of your options along the wedding planning process. Even with it raining twenty minutes before my outdoor ceremony, Dawn never appeared flustered, which helped me stay calm; she knew I wanted an outdoor wedding, and despite the rain, when the time came, she was able to give me a beautiful outdoor wedding that went flawlessly. With Dawn, along with the renowned food, florist, and staff, a wedding at Burge could be nothing less than perfection.

My Mom and I had been searching online and through friend's recommendations for quite some time for the perfect venue. I had an image in my mind of getting married in a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by my family and friends. We found the website for Burge, headed out there that same day and didn't look any further. Dawn, Burge's wedding coordinator, made my Mom and I feel so comfortable from the start. I'm the first in my family to get married so literally everything was a new experience. We had lots of questions that first day and they were all answered in such a way that we knew we could handle this journey! Our ceremony was held under a big oak tree and even though we had 170 guests it felt very close and intimate. My new husband's relatives and mine are all from the Midwest and to see their faces as they attended a wedding at a true Southern plantation was priceless! The food was so much above the class of 'wedding food'. 2 weeks after the wedding we are still receiving compliments on the menu! Dawn was everywhere that day. Next to the food and the beauty of the location everyone was amazed at how smoothly the whole day went. From the seating of the guests to the 'sparkler' send-off it was a fun, amazing, unforgettable experience. I would recommend Burge and it's caring, top-notch staff to everyone! I know that as I celebrate each and every anniversary I will remember this day that far exceeded my dreams of a perfect start to my married life.

I could not be happier that we chose Burge Plantation for our wedding. The venue is unbelievably gorgeous and the food is absolutely to die for. Chef Andrew is extremely talented. The coordinator, Dawn Leonetti went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was everything we had ever dreamed of - even when we had to revert to plan B due to weather conditions. We had so much fun and the day went absolutely flawlessly. Dawn did a wonderful job communicating with our other vendors. She also did a great job orchestrating our family and friends during the rehearsal and ceremony. We added several personalized details to our wedding and Dawn ensured that everything went smoothly with those as well. I highly recommend Burge to any bride, Dawn will literally make your dreams come true!

I can not say enough how great Dawn and everyone at Burge were on my sister in laws wedding. Dawn was there every step of the way, some things needed to be changed the day of the wedding and it was so smooth the bride or mother had no worry at all. Dawn is awesome at was she does. Food was excellent everything was awesome. Dawn was so flexible with things. We could not ask for anything better that the service we received. I would recommend anybody looking to have a wedding or just a celebration to use the Burge Plantation.

All events at the Burge Plantation were well planned, organized and prepared for unexpected weather

circumstances. The grounds were immaculate! Wedding guests commented on the beauty of the

plantation.

Cabin accommodations were wonderful. The room amenities were absolutely outstanding. Quiet and

very restful surroundings provided for a restful haven.

Set up for the rehearsal dinner was outstanding. The food preparations of Chef Andrew were delicious.

Well prepared and presentation was superb. Service providers were very polite and professional.

Wedding Event planner, Dawn Leonetti, provided flawless procedures beyond expectations. The setting

was absolutely beautiful.

An absolutely lovely weekend and a forever memory.

Burge Plantation is a lovely venue. The wedding coordinator, Dawn, was excellent. She was organized, available, professional, and kept everyone moving in a timely manner, while not being pushy. Their chef prepared marvelous-tasting food, and presented it beautifully. I highly recommend this venue.

My daughter was married last weekend at Burge Plantation. Even though mother nature chose not to cooperate the wedding could not have been more beautiful. Dawn was absolutely amazing. Every detail was taken care of to perfection. I could not have asked for someone more delightful to work with. I would definitely recommend this venue and Dawn to all.

I cannot recommend Burge highly enough. When I first met with Dawn Leonetti at Burge, she asked me what I wanted for my wedding day (a variation on the "what is your VISION for your wedding day?" question that almost every single vendor we spoke with asked). I told her I wanted to show up, get married, have a fun party with great food, and to not have to worry about ANY of the details. Dawn and the Burge staff provided all that, and more.
In the three weeks leading up to the wedding, when our plans were changing almost by the hour due to last minute RSVPs, wedding party indecisiveness, and various wedding-related freak outs, Dawn calmly incorporated the changes without batting an eye. On the day of our wedding, despite bad weather, an unprepared DJ, a bride who was running late, a florist who was out of contact, and other such challenges, Dawn and her staff had everything under control. I didn't have to worry about anything other than walking down the aisle (which was beautiful and made for gorgeous pictures).
When we got to the reception, Dawn had already snagged a plate of appetizers just for us, as our guests were devouring the appetizers (which were AMAZING) at an awe-inspiring rate. She made sure my husband and I had a plate of Chef Andrew's delicious food before the buffet line was open (and again, before the guests descended on the delectable food like a chocoholic at the Ghiradelli factory), and even had plates of food and wedding cupcakes waiting for us in our cabin after the reception ended. We were able to focus on the excitement of getting married, dancing, and spending time with friends and family and NOT worrying about details!
Burge is a beautiful location with fabulous food (seriously, the shrimp and grits are to die for), but there are lots of beautiful locations. What set it apart from all the other venues was Dawn and her staff-they made our wedding day as easy and stress-free as possible.

Tom and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Dawn Leonetti of Burge Plantation, Mansfield, Georgia for the Rehearsal Dinner of our son and daughter-in-law on September 25, 2015. The event was a “Low Country Boil” at the picturesque Hunting Lodge and Open Air Barn, part of the Burge Plantation Hunt Club . Dawn and her team were exceptionally personable, professional and talented, provided quality customer service, and went above and beyond the call of duty. It's because of Dawn and the Burge Plantation Team that the Rehearsal Dinner was such a celebration for our many out of state guests to not only rave about, but everyone was enveloped in the pleasant atmosphere created by the event planners from the organic flowers/decorations/favors to the lighting and outdoor pit fires. . We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were. My husband also officiated the wedding ceremony (September 26, 2015) and thoroughly enjoyed Dawn and her team in their able assistance and suggestions for a fluid and lovely wedding processional and ceremony on the Burge Plantation Home site. The wedding and reception were magnificent in every detail, and compliments were made by all on the choice of venue. Most importantly, Dawn and the Burge Team made us feel apart of their family, and made sure we were taken care of in every way. We have already recommended Burge Plantation to our friends!

My wedding at Burge Plantation could not have been anymore perfect! Dawn and everyone at Burge went above any beyond to make our day memorable. We told Dawn what we wanted and she made it happen. We had our ceremony under a gorgeous oak tree and our reception at the Oak Hill Wedding Barn. The whole property is beautiful. Staff is extremely flexible and will do everything they can to make your wedding day everything you ever dreamed. Dawn is a tremendous wedding planner, whose services are included in the price of the venue. Many of our guests commented on the food being the best they've ever had at a wedding. The menu is diverse and offers everybody a taste of just what they want. The grounds produced unbelievable pictures and offers several different spots for a ceremony/reception. We highly recommend The Burge for anybody. A true hidden gem when looking for a wedding venue.

Burge plantation was phenomenal! We loved every moment of our special day because we were in such a beautiful setting. Dawn is the wedding coordinator and she took care of so many of the small and big details which made it much easier on me! We enjoyed everything about BURGE. We decided to have the rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception all on the property. In different areas but all at the same 1,000 acre location. Dawn took care of each event and took the lead! I would suggest a wedding planner and she is the one you want!! The setting is superb, the food is to die for and there are many areas and options on the property that you can choose to get married on. It is truly a day we will never forget!!! My daughter's wedding was magical, majestic, and more than the wedding of her dreams. Dawn Leonetti, our coordinator went above and beyond what was expected of a wedding coordinator. The staff was professional and amazing. The wedding was perfect from the outdoor ceremony to the reception and can I mention the amazing food. Our families continue to talk about our event of the year for our families. The wonderful food was a topic of conversation starting with the shrimp & grits and the amazing meatloaf sliders. We decided drive out and look at the Burge Plantation after visiting several other wedding venues closer to where we live, and I have to say, we couldn't be happier that we did. Nestled between quiet fields in Mansfield, GA, Burge Plantation has a down home, yet elegant feel. The house is beautiful and has a lot of interesting history and the side buildings all have their own unique character and theme.

From our first tour of the property to our wedding day, Dawn, the on-site wedding coordinator, was extremely helpful and gave us guidance every step of the way. She is very efficient, and I can assure you, no time will be wasted with Dawn :)

Our guests are still raving about the food Chef Andrew prepared. From a lifelong Southerner, the shrimp and grits are by far the best I've ever had.

My husband and I would highly recommend this venue!

My son and new daughter-in-law had their wedding at the beautiful Burge Plantation 2 weeks ago. It was a wonderful venue and all had a fantastic time at this wedding! I would recommend it to all. The food was excellent and Dawn Leonetti was the perfect wedding coordinator. She is so easy to work with; accessible and a most organized and thoughtful planner. She takes care of any issue without fanfare--just fixes it. She is unflappable no matter what happens--just the type of person the families need. Everything was well thought out and looked elegant. As parents of the groom, we did not have too many responsibilities. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at Burge Plantation--Farmhouse at Oakhill (also part of the property). It was absolutely perfect as well. Excellent food, wonderful servers, and reasonable prices and all was arranged for us. We just arrived and hosted the party. What a delight.

I just want to say that I was more than satisfied with this vendor and especially with Dawn Leaonetti and all of the Burge staff. From my first contact with Dawn till the end of the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding I was so impressed with the amount to time, expertise, and personal touch that she poured into our lives at this time. By the end of the wedding night we felt like Dawn and the staff were more like family than just employees at Burge! I have highly recommended Burge to many people and I will continue to. Rehearsal Dinner Heaven!!! The farmhouse at Oakhill is such an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding, or any event, our guests were amazed. Working with Dawn, the chef, bartenders and all the staff was such a pleasurable experience, we are actually looking for a reason to host another event at the farmhouse. The barn is a new structure, with built in ceiling fans, tables, buffet line and best of all, the bar! The side of the barn has stairs leading to a deck that offers the most amazing view of this beautiful property. In fact, the wedding was held at another venue, we had several comments that the rehearsal dinner food and venue was far superior in quality to the actual wedding & reception. Another positive is that they are not "price gougers" - Other venues seem to "nickel and dime" you , this is not the case at Burge. Very detailed pricing with NO HIDDEN COSTS!! I am looking forward to working with them again in the future.

In the past two years, Burge Plantation has hosted weddings for two of our four adult children. The most recent wedding was May 30 at the Farmhouse at Oak Hill; a short distance from the main observatory and plantation home on Highway 142.

The venue, food, service, and overall coordination provided by Burge is superb. May 30, 2015 our son was married under the large oak tree at the Farmhouse, with the reception in the open barn. The beautifully restored farm house was opened for the wedding party to change, relax, find refrigerated bottled water, and for restrooms before, during, and after the ceremony. In a word, the venue was stunning - rustic elegance!

The reception was beautiful. Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed refreshing drinks, bacon-wrapped quail breast, appetizer pastries, and cooling breeze in under the barn shade. When photographs were complete, guests enjoyed a buffet meal of salad, amazing grilled fresh vegetables, red potatoes, savory salmon, and succulent tenderloin steak. Unsolicited and frequent comments from guests complimented the delicious food and presentation.

The entire staff at Burge Plantation; including, Dawn Leonetti, the venue manager, provided superior service. We have four children who have all married in the past 11 years. Two were married at Burge Plantation. Our expectations were always exceeded in staff service, quality of food, and presentation of the venue. The staff at Burge strive for excellence; whether a wedding or one-on-one service for any event.

We highly recommend Burge Plantation for your next event.

My daughter's wedding was held at Burge Plantation and I cannot imagine a more perfect venue to have a wedding. All our guests raved about the venue. The food was delicious and Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was so helpful. Dawn made the entire day run so smoothly and my daughter said she could not have imagined the wedding being so perfect without Dawn's help. There are so many options on where to hold the wedding ceremony and the reception area is perfect. Both indoors and outdoors with a perfect plan to eat, dance and enjoy the beautiful day. Burge Plantation is an absolutely perfect, picturesque wedding venue! I had the most amazing wedding there 2 weeks ago, and all of my friends and family who attended are still raving about it. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was amazing. She helped everything run smoothly and even made sure that my husband and I got to eat during all the craziness. She is so organized and definitely knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. The food is absolutely delicious and the bartenders and wait staff were so friendly. The venue's appearance really blew my guests away - all the greenery, trees, gardens, and open space made the wedding naturally beautiful. The cost was very reasonable considering everything that is included, and it's not far from Atlanta (where you will pay an arm and a leg to rent a decent, spacious venue). There are 2 cottages offered with the rental that you can use to get ready in and also stay overnight. My husband and I used one cottage and the bridal party stayed in the other - another $$ saver! I don't have enough good things to say about this place. If you are looking to have a lovely rustic wedding with great food and a wedding coordinator who takes care of everything, go see Burge!

My daughter's wedding was at Burge Plantation this past weekend. It was amazing. The staff was very efficient. The food was superb. Chef Andrew and his crew did such an amazing job, presentation, taste, and quality were unsurpassed. Dawn and her calm demeanor kept bride, mother of the bride, and father of the bride calm, during the planning phase all the way through to the actual ceremony. Burge Plantation just hosted my wedding last weekend and I LOVED everything about my day! The moment I laid eyes on Burge for the first time was the minute I knew I HAD to have my wedding there. The staff, especially Dawn, were so sweet and did everything to accommodate my wishes. Rain was a big factor but they provided me with a back up plan and made sure to keep me calm! Luckily, the rain held up and we were able to marry on the front steps of the venue. The food was out of this WORLD, Beef tips and roasted potatoes, YUMMY! The staff also made sure to pack us a to go plate with our wedding cake to have in the cottage we got to stay in the night of our wedding. She helped us create the wedding of our dreams step by step & was always super helpful, resourceful & very easy to talk to. The food at Burge is incredible! Our guests were raving about it. We chose to have a tapas menu instead of a traditional dinner & it was a huge hit! The resident chef, Andrew is incredible! With this venue, two cottages are included for getting ready prior to your event & overnight stay; they're absolutely lovely! Everything about the location is well maintained & beautiful, which makes for plenty of great photo ops! Every single staff member we encountered was very helpful, nice & eager to make our event a success. We don't have a single complaint. Our day was perfect! We really didn't have to worry about a thing the day of our wedding! Dawn really took care of everything & made our day stress free! If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!!!

This venue is out in the country, so it's nice & quiet. The main house is close to the road, but there are police officers that slowe down traffic during your wedding so you don't hear a bunch of road noise! They really think of everything!!!

The Burge includes so much! We looked at so many places that don't include near this much (chairs, tables, linens, flatware, plates, bartender, off duty police officer, wedding coordinator, cottages, set up/clean up, etc). With everything this venue includes, it is an incredible deal!

If you're a history buff, the Burge is pretty cool as it was built pre-Civil War & was one of the only houses in the area that survived Sherman's destruction.

We had a wonderful experience with our wedding at Burge Plantation and feel we really got a great value out of everything. The food was outstanding, and it wasn't just because we were hungry-- we had foodie friends and even some snooty friends comment on how delicious everything was. Dawn was organized leading up to the event and always helpful and responsive, and even though we thought we'd thought of everything, she still had details we needed to consider that helped the day to run smoother. Furthermore, at the rehearsal and on the day of, she was one to two steps ahead at every point from start to finish. The staff was also exceptionally kind-- went out of their way to be helpful and polite, even when not at all necessary. Overall, highly recommended.

Not actually a wedding, but a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for my parents. It was the best party ever in the history of all parties. 75 people. Divine food. Beautiful place. Excellent staff. It was so easy to plan the event with them. I spend a good bit of time at Burge - I host work events there and also visit for recreation purposes - and it's always a good experience. But this one was the BEST! Chef Andrew is creative and consistently delivers high quality beautiful meals, often using fresh food straight from Burge Organic Farm. John, Mary, and all the other staff have proven to be professional, kind, and totally ON IT; Neely and Dawn to name a few more. Excellent experience this past weekend. Couldn't let it go unheard.

The venue was perfect. The bride and greom's suites not only met every expectation, but were beautiful backdrops for photos. The plantation house and yard also provided a beautiful setting for the wedding. Dawn, the director of the venue, provided vital assistance to the wedding party and planner as she set everything up, even making helpful suggestions for improvements both in the planning process and on the day of the wedding. The members of the staff were all very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Burge plantation for any event.

My husband, Andy, and I were married at Burge yesterday. Everything from concept to completion was nothing short of incredible. This venue exceeded all of our expectations from food, decor, responsiveness, ease to work with and overall enjoyment of our day. Not only is the property beautiful, Dawn Leonetti and the entire Burge staff are exceptional. Our wedding day was perfect, and Burge Plantation played an enormous part in that. The venue itself is quaint, beautiful, and historic. A trip to the "attic" is a must. The staff is friendly and professional and makes you feel at home. Our son and his bride chose Burge Plantation for their fall wedding the first day that they came to visit over a year ago, after having viewed several other recommended venues. The grounds, surrounding scenery, accommodations, and staff were top-notch. There is so much history here. Dawn helped us with planning everything, and made sure that we were happy. The rehearsal dinner was held at Paula's Porch, the food was delicious, and we had so much fun around the bonfire that we didn't leave until after midnight! The wedding could not have been more beautiful, and the reception held in the conservatory was any couple's dream. Thanks so much to Burge, Dawn, and all the staff for an unforgettable wedding weekend. I asked one of the employees who I had noticed had been working so hard all day if he was getting tired. His response was "as long as ya'll are happy, we're happy!" Well, our response to that is, "yes, we are very happy!"

The Burge Plantation is absolutely Amazing. The venue itself is beautiful with lots of ceremony options. Dawn the wedding planner is not only friendly but very professional and gets the job done. So I intentionally delayed writing this review for a bit so that the emotions of the day not would cause me to be a little biased. We could not have have had a more stress free, enjoyable wedding, attributed all to Burge and Dawn for all the professionalism and therapeutic skills!

While Burge it isn't inside the perimeter, it isn't far away, and its charm easily outweighs a bit longer drive. It is a classic old south setting, with the white buildings, sprawling lawns and old shade trees. The history of the place is very interesting as well. You get the option of where you'd like to have the wedding and reception, which is nice. I chose to get married on the steps of the main house with the reception at the conservatory.

Dawn had everything during the planning phase running like a well oiled machine, despite our growing guest list. She would tell us everything was under control, and we placed our full faith in her. And even the hottest day of the summer did not phase the burge crew in the least. They seemed to be everywhere readying the place for the event yet never seeming underfoot, no stress on our part at all. If something was needed to be done, it was as if they read our minds and it appeared.

Moving to the reception,170 hot, thirsty and hungry people were served in a timely fashion. The line for beer was initially long but that was no big deal after the rush. The food was amazing! Six weeks after, I still have people complimenting us on the food. I highly suggest the veal meatloaf.

The service staff was the A Team. And of course Dawn was omnipresent making sure the event kept rolling on without a hiccup. I have no doubt that there are a lot of facilities out there that can do a good job on a wedding, but I can not see how a venue can provide a setting with the ambiance and service that Burge provided us. We got more than our money's worth on the whole thing, and my wedding day was far better than I could have dreamed.

This past weekend we celebrated the wedding of our baby girl at Burge Plantation. Of course being the Mother of the bride you want everything to be perfect and it was and so much more with the help of wedding coordinator Dawn Leonetti and the staff at Burge Plantation. Dawn was amazing and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We just had to show up while Dawn coordinated everything from the ceremony to the send off. She took away all my anxiety so I could relax and enjoy the day. The food was prepared at Burge and was superb! Everyone is still raving about it! We couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue or had a better experience. The bride and groom couldn't be happier and their wedding party and friends said is was the best wedding they have ever been too! Thanks to Dawn Leonetti and the staff at Burge Plantation!

My family visited Burge on August 16, 2013, to inquire about having my daughter’s wedding there. Dawn Leonetti, Burge’s Wedding Director, welcomed us immediately upon our arrival. She was extremely friendly and excited to give us a tour of Burge Plantation’s beautiful grounds and explained all Burge offered. On October 4, 2013, we all decided Burge was THE PLACE! That day, we paid the deposit and reserved the date, for exactly one year later, October 4, 2014, to celebrate Jenna’s & Michael’s wedding. From this date forward, Dawn was there every step of the way, referring vendors, answering questions and giving us guidance to make my daughter’s big day special. Burge provides all tables, linens, chairs, glassware and many delicious food options prepared by the amazing, Chef Andrew. Chef Andrew is very accommodating when it comes to special requests and will customize a menu to fit any needs.
Holding a wedding at Burge is extremely stress-free! Dawn takes care of everything! We delivered our personal wedding decorations, gifts for our guests, and all the alcohol two days prior to the wedding and told Dawn how we wanted things set for the ceremony and reception. Last Saturday, October, 4, 2014, Dawn and the entire Burge staff did not disappoint! Approximately 175 of our family members and friends gathered at Burge Plantation to celebrate the marriage of Jenna and Michael and tables were arranged and set, and all of our items were placed exactly as we requested them to be! I have received nothing but wonderful reviews from our guests regarding the delicious food, the beautiful grounds, as well as, Dawn and the entire, friendly staff at Burge Plantation. I highly recommend Burge Plantation to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue. Burge offers a lot of bang for your buck! After a year of planning, my daughter’s big day was just as she envisioned. Thank you Dawn, Chef Andrew and staff for an amazing experience!

My son was married at Burge Plantation on September 20, 2014. We had the rehearsal dinner there the night before. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience! Dawn Leonetti was awesome. From start to finish she was always there to help or answer any questions. She even had suggestions that I had not even thought of. The food was wonderful! The Chef knows what he's doing for sure. The staff was so so nice and helpful too. I have to applaud Dawn! She had a broken ankle and wore a boot the whole weekend. It did not stop her one bit! She was always where she needed to be and doing everything she needed to do! That says a lot! As far as the wedding.....it was a dream! A day I will never forget. Everything went flawlessly and again, I have to thank the staff at Burge Plantation and most of all Dawn Leoetti.

We hosted an engagement party for our Godchild and we wanted everything to be perfect for her opening to the wedding season parties. Dawn made every detail smooth and effortless--and beautiful. Andrew made the most delicious food, and our co-hosts are still talking about how wonderful it was. We had the party off-site at our farm--the staff came over the day before and moved furniture and set up all the tables and flowers. When the party was over, they clean up and put everything back. As the father of the groom, I let my wife plan our part of the rehearsal party. At first she worried a lot about all the details etc. After meeting with Dawn, the wedding planner at Burge, she came home very pleased with the way she and the staff had guided her in the planning portion of our rehearsal duties. My wife has her own ideas about what she wants and how things should be. We arrived and the entire venue we were using was prepared to the final detail! We had gone to a food tasting earlier and that allowed my wife to plan the dinner SHE wanted... even though the plantation has meals from which you can pick. We basically showed up, rehearsed, ate a fabulous meal and partied then left. It took so much headache out of the whole day! Thanks Dawn for taking the stress away from my wife and allowing all of us to have a great time!

As for the rehearsal dinner... I had people saying they wanted to lick their plates! Burge grows almost all of their own veggies, herbs etc. on the plantation grounds. Our dinner was plated and everyone of the 25 in the party had a HOT meal placed in front of them. The staff was most polite and very efficient! The Plantation can suggest meals and have some you can pick from but in my case I wanted a certain mixture of things... Chef Andrew accommodated MY own ideas and wishes for the rehearsal party. I was so glad I decided NOT to go anywhere else... they just made it easy! It was set up when I arrived. I put out a few candles and my own minimal touches and we were ready for fun and great food! Don't waste time going to other places and getting less than the best! Your kids and guests deserve it! **Of course Dawn coordinated all of this part too!

My son just got married this past weekend (10/4/14) down in GA. The dress rehearsal was a challenge for me because I live in KY and was not familiar with the area. The bride’s mother found a couple of places for me to investigate for the dinner. One of the places she found was Burge Plantation Club in Mansfield GA. I drove down to GA and we (bride, bride’s mother and myself) met with Dawn Leonetti in January of this year and was very pleased with all that we were shown so I reserved the Burge for the dinner. Dawn and I kept in contact through e-mail then in August I went back to GA to finalize the arrangements. I did not go back to the Burge until the evening of the dress rehearsal dinner. Beautiful, amazing, fantastic – I left Dawn in charge of all decorations, decisions on how to place tables, etc. She did a wonderful job. Then there was the food that was incredible. I got back home to KY and the people who had come down for the dress rehearsal dinner and wedding were still talking about how delicious the food was and how beautiful the Burge Plantation was. Being the mother of the groom and living so far away I wanted to please the bride and groom, wanted them to be happy with the choice I had made. I give the Burge Plantation, Dawn and staff a 10+++. Everyone at the Burge was polite, friendly, and helpful. I would highly recommend the Burge Plantation to anyone in that area that is in need of a place for any type of gathering or celebration! We got married at Burge on September 6th and it was better than we could've ever dreamed of! We are very familiar with Burge and spent time there on some of our first dates- we both knew immediately we wanted to get married there when we got engaged. The entire staff is beyond incredible and accommodating, especially Dawn. Dawn was there every step of the way helping us to coordinate and recommending different vendors in the area. Most of the vendors out in Mansfield are friends with one another and the staff at Burge, so they are very trustworthy and reliable. Burge is an incredibly beautiful property and makes for an incredible setting! The food is beyond amazing...our friends are still talking about it. Chef Andrew is amazing, you have to have the macaroni. It is really nice that Burge does the catering and can supply all tables, linens, etc. You can absolutely make it a country wedding or a black tie event at Burge like we did. It lends itself to all styles. We really wouldn't change one thing about our wedding and owe Dawn majorly for making our day perfect!

This was the most perfect venue!!! From the awesome wedding coordinator who covered everything from head to toe to the fantastic food and actual location. We are on the second day of our honeymoon and cannot stop talking about how perfect our wedding was, so I had to write a review and take this time to thank each and every person at Burge Plantation that made our wedding everything we could dream of and more! Starting with Dawn Leonetti, literally the best wedding planner I could have asked for. From day one, she was there to help plan and share ideas with me. My family and I were able to attend a tasting at the venue, and let me just say the food provided at Burge is absolutely delicious!! We chose the Italian themed buffet, and my friends and family raved about how good everything was. I definitely caught a few going for seconds ;). The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are so many options of how you can set up your dream wedding. The day of the wedding, Dawn kept things running so smoothly and I can say with absolute truth the wedding went by EXACTLY as planned! I cannot say enough about this venue, and Dawn, and we are so truly grateful for the care, consideration and detail that you all provided for us. Our day was absolutely perfect! The Burge is a beautiful venue and offers everything I was looking for. I could not have dreamed of a more perfect place for my wedding. First, the venue is absolutely breathtaking and can be made more rustic, casual or more elegant and formal. The possibilities to see your vision here are never ending. On top of that, I felt like the staff at the Burge were part of my wedding party. They truly cared about my event. They were there to make sure that it was everything that I could have hoped for and more. To know that the people you are working with TRULY care, helps alleviate some of the anxiety on whether things will be done as you hoped. Dawn Leonetti is a tremendous wedding planner and director. She will provide you with ideas, make sure everything is done to a t, keep you on track, and above all - provide you with peace of mind! The food was fantastic and I keep hearing my guests rave on all parts of the menu. Finally, after it is all over...to hear continuously how "beautiful" and "wonderful" everything was...is music to my ears. It keeps letting me relive what was truly a fantastic day thanks in part to the Burge. Love love love this place and all of the staff.

Charming and impressive would describe the setting for the wedding for my son and daughter-in-law. Dawn was a wonderful wedding planner, who along with chef Andrew helped plan the outdoor garden rehearsal dinner. The evening began with a cocktail hour with passed appetizers. The farm to table menu for dinner was outstanding. It ended with a delicious buttermilk sorbet for dessert. Lovely floral centerpieces were arranged from the Burge organic gardens. We then had an after rehearsal dinner party at Paula's Porch with a blue grass band for entertainment. The cabins around the property were convenient and cozy for the wedding party and family. Of course, I can't say enough about the outdoor beautiful wedding ceremony in front of the big historic house and the fabulous reception afterwords! The staff were all professional and we have only the highest praises for Chef Andrew and Dawn.

The Burge Plantation was a beautiful place for a wedding and Dawn Leonetti, Event Coordinator; Chef Andrew, and the entire staff worked to make Sheridan and Miles' wedding day perfect. They were married in the garden and the Conservatory where the reception was held was lovely. The food was delicious-our guests raved about the shrimp and grits, and kale salad. The wedding started right on time, the dinner was served in a timely manner, and cake cutting and other wedding happenings took place as planned thanks to the management of Dawn. She was responsive to any requests and made the bride and groom and all their guests feel so important. Sheridan was beautiful and Miles was handsome and they made the Burge Plantation glow with their love. Thank you, Burge, for making my memories of their wedding so sweet.

The Burge Plantation was a wonderful place for my daughters wedding. Everything was perfect. Dawn Leonetti, the wedding planner, had everything just like my daughter wanted it. No worries!! The venue was beautiful. Dawn recommended Kaci for the flowers and they were perfect also. Couldn't have been happier. RE the food, YUM is the only word to describe it!! If you want to have a beautiful wedding and be able to enjoy it....go to the Burge and talk with Dawn. I don't know how she does it but she does!!!

This is without a doubt the best venue and value to have a wedding. The food and service are impeccable. You get to preview and taste all food choices before choosing the menu!!!! The setting is fairy tale like and should you choose, you can have the bride arrive to the aisle by horse and buggy!! Dawn, our wedding planner was absolutely amazing. She was there to meet with us whenever we had questions and on the day of the wedding she made SURE everything was perfect! She was friendly and knowlegable and was pretty much perfect!! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to ANYONE getting married. You will not be disappointed!!!

My husband and I were married at Burge on May 3rd, 2014 and could not have asked for a better venue! The wedding coordinator Dawn was so helpful. She went out of her way to make all my dreams come true for our special day. She was easy to get in touch with throughout the planning process and decorated the reception space beautifully! The venue was beautiful and the staff was excellent. I can't recommend this place enough for brides-to-be!

Our daughter was recently married at Burge Plantation and my husband and I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, answered all our questions thoroughly and made sure the ceremony and reception flowed smoothly. Andrew, the chef, created a meal that would rival a 5 star restaurant. As one guest said, it was not only the best food he had eaten at a wedding, it was some of the best food he had ever eaten anywhere. We are so happy our daughter chose Burge Plantation for her wedding.

Firstly, you should know that I'm definitely not the type of person who writes reviews, and certainly not the type who gives all 5's… but my experience at Burge was so EXCEPTIONAL, I thought it was worthy of a RAVE review! Here's what I loved most about having our wedding at Burge:
(1) Customer Service - My fiancé and I received unparalleled customer service from Dawn (Burge's on-site wedding coordinator) and the entire Burge team. Chef Andrew created a customized gluten-free menu to accommodate family food allergies. The #1 compliment we received from guests was that the food was really relish and not like "typical wedding food"! Dawn responded to all of my questions, emails, and texts within a matter of hours. On the day of our wedding, Dawn tried up until 1/2 hour before the ceremony to keep it outside as we'd wanted (despite rainy / drizzling conditions). And, when a family emergency arose a week prior to the wedding, Dawn handled the issue with sympathy and kindness. Simply put - these are GREAT people! An excellent team that will treat you with dignity and personal touches.
(2) Beauty of the Grounds - I looked at SEVERAL other garden-type facilities for an outdoor wedding around Atlanta, and can safely say that BURGE is the best for two reasons. Firstly, the grounds are immaculate. Dawn ensures fresh flowers are planted and blooming for your ceremony, and the lawn is pristinely manicured. Also - the rain-plan location (the conservatory) is a lovely indoor/space which feels open and airy. Definitely the most-gorgeous spot in my search!
My fiancé and I were married at Burge on March 29th, 2014 in what felt like a total fairytale evening. Thank you, Burge, for making our night so incredibly special!

As mother of the bride, my prayers were answered the day my newly-engaged daughter fell in love with Burge Plantation. When she said, “This is the type of place I envision marrying Nicholas,” I quietly praised God in my heart. Our search for the perfect venue (with a realistic deposit) was causing a bit of stress. She had several musts on her list: 1) outside ceremony 2) inside reception 3) a back-up if it rained & 4) had to “just know & feel” this was the place. We visited numerous venues & my daughter conducted exhaustive research for the perfect place. The drive from our meeting at The Fox in Atlanta to our appointment with Dawn Leonetti at Burge was tense. I’d already visited Burge alone & knew it was beautiful & I could afford the reasonable deposit, paying the balance over the next ten months. The city seemed too stressful for a wedding, but Burge’s calm, country setting seemed perfect.
We walked through the charming, indoor reception area noting the outdoor patios on each side. Next we wandered through the beautiful garden next to the pool in back of the white, turn-of-the century style house. As we strolled around to the gorgeous, spacious front lawn, my daughter said, “I’m falling in love with this place.” Yes! “I can see me & Nicholas getting married here.” Double yes!! Meeting Dawn, the planner, director & organizer, sealed it for us. Her professional, energetic & engaging personality won us over. We found out that 2 of the beautifully decorated cabins on the property included a night’s stay the night of the wedding. Instead of renting a venue for 3-4 hours, the price covered the entire day & all the grounds for everyone to enjoy. My daughter's dream wedding was fulfilled because of Dawn & the staff at Burge. As mother of the bride, it was one of the best days of my life, stress free, because I didn’t have to lift a finger.
Almost 2 years later, our experience with Burge brings deeply, grateful & happy memories & will for the rest of our lives.

My husband and I were got married at Burge Plantation back in August of 2013 and I have to say it was everything I could have ever wanted! The place itself is BEAUTIFUL, not to mention all of the staff was so nice and helpful. Dawn Leonetti, the wedding coordinator, is AWESOME! She kept me on task along the way and made sure every single detail was taken care of. The food was absolutely AMAZING. All of my guests raved about how good the food was for weeks after the wedding. The price was competitive, if not better, than most all of the other places we looked into and you get SO much more for your money. There are 2 separate ADORABLE cabins for the wedding party (guys/girls) to get ready in the day of wedding and plenty of gorgeous places to take pictures. My hubby and I stayed there in a cabin that night after the wedding also. I cannot say enough about happy we were with our experience at Burge. I highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married.
