Elopement photos at Avery Island

We were absolutely blown away by all of our photos. Colby and his wife are incredible. Not only their personalities but their talent. We loved them. They were so easy and fun to work with. They made us feel so comfortable. They would guide us into the perfect poses. They were patient and made all our requests happen. Even down to getting the alligator in the background of some of our pictures. 10 stars all the way around. We LOVE them!!!

Colby & Shirley are AMAZING!

All of the wedding photos are beautiful! They shot our engagement pics and my bridals leading up to the wedding too. They are very nice and we loved having them capture special moments of our engagement and wedding that we can look at and treasure for years to come.

My wife's parents had this couple as their photographers so we decided to do the same, and we were beyond happy with the photos they took of us. Perfectly seamless process and well worth the money we spent.

Amazing !!

Colby and Shirley were amazing photographers! Any time I had a question, I just texted them and got a response very quickly. I need to change the time and add extra minutes and they were happy to oblige. If I have any future celebrations I will definitely hire them again. Highly recommend Bueche photography. Pictures came out beautiful for my wedding.

Exceeded expectations!!

Our experience with Bueche Photography was great! Mr. Colby and his wife were so attentive. They captured every bit of our wedding night & our pictures came out better than we could have ever imagined. Aside from phenomenal photos, they were the most kind and patient people. We have a lot of children in our family, and they managed to work around the chaos and capture all of our special moments. We are so very thankful that we chose them and look forward to working with them in the future!

Absolutely Oustanding

My sister-in-law hired Bueche Photography for her wedding and I knew from working with them then that I would never get professional photos from ANYONE else. They are super responsive by email, extremely friendly and personable, and worked with me on every single aspect of my wedding photos to make sure we had the absolute best experience possible. They were so flexible with me changing the schedule last second (and again and again)! They were just such a calm and collected presence on the phone in the whirlwind of the last couple weeks of wedding planning. Seriously, as someone who HATES making phone calls more than just about anything in the world, I loved being on the phone with Bueche Photography. On the wedding day, they showed up early and got straight to work. They asked just a few questions and then just melted into the background (nobody remembers seeing the photographers running around!!) The photos came out just a week after the wedding and they're perfect.

Great Photography

If I could give these guys ten stars I would, Colby and Shirley were amazing photographers to work with and the pictures came out phenomenal. They make you feel comfortable during the shoot and are very professional. Due to Hurricane Ida the Bridal shoot had to be done at a venue without electricity and they were awesome at getting creative to work around not having lighting. I liked the fact that they were very detailed oriented in the posed pictures. Colby would direct you, so the picture would be just perfect. I was so excited when I got both my bridal proofs and my wedding proofs in less than ten days. I pictures were better than I could have ever imagined. Once again, unparalleled turn around time for proofs. These are the guys you want to hire for your wedding:)

Breathtaking!!

This was my 1st ever photoshoot! They were so friendly and patient with my daughter and I and they did an awesome job! Very knowledgeable about the angles, very detailed, and they already had a game plan and delivered! Beautiful pictures and quality for a very reasonable price! Made my experience very smooth. All I did was tell them what I wanted and they took care of the rest. Very flexible! Highly recommend! Will definitely be back for my next photoshoot!

Colby and Shirley were so attentive during the covid-19 crisis. We had to reschedule our wedding and luckily they had our new date available. They were one of the only vendors that would reach me out to me. They were extremely flexible and helpful when our venue changed two weeks prior and when it rained all day on the wedding. They were so easy going especially with all the last minute chaos. I could not have been happier to have them shoot my wedding!

The Best There Is

Amazing Photos

I am so glad that I chose Bueche Photography for my engagement and wedding photos! Colby was very professional and easy to work with from the start. We were able to customize our package to fit our specific wants/needs. I was truly able to see his talents when he coordinated our engagement session outdoors in the rain! I had specific requests with poses for the wedding day, and they made sure to accommodate them all. Colby and Shirley are so calm and helpful when working with you, so you do not feel anxious or stressed at all!
In addition, the package and print prices were reasonable and affordable. You also get a $50 credit per session! I would highly recommend choosing them as your engagement/wedding photographers!

The best Photographer

Colby was amazing! Both he and his wife were very professional and accommodating. I honestly couldn't of asked for a better photographer. Even our guest were saying how wonderful our photographer was. He is so soft spoken and knowledgeable, trust me when I tell you he is the best! Call him, I promise you won't regret it!

Amazing Service!

Phenomenal service! Colby and Shirley Bueche were so kind, patient and flexible! They were courteous and professional with everything they did. From the initial booking to the finished proofs, they were always available to take care of any and all of my concerns. While posing for photos, I never once felt rushed and the photographs they captured were absolutely beautiful! I can not commend them enough for the excellent job they did.
We are incredibly appreciative of the time and effort they put into capturing every moment of our wedding night. They are such wonderful people that we were very lucky to get to work with. We are beyond pleased with their work and I strongly recommend their services to everyone! You won't find photographers more talented than Colby and Shirley.

We had a great experience from the start. Bueche Photography was an amazing team to work with my son's Senior pictures. Colby really understood my son which included how my son hates taking pictures. Beautiful Restoration

We had previous experience with Bueche Photography for our daughters wedding. They were both very professional at the wedding. A few days ago, we discovered our own wedding pictures to be in need of repair. Knowing Colby Bueche's professionalism, we gave him a call. He came and looked at our pictures. Once again, Colby was professional. He knew he was looking at precious memories and family pictures. He handled our pictures with great care as though they were his own pictures. He restored our pictures and we are very pleased.

AMAZING and affordable!!

Booked him for our wedding in New Iberia. I can’t say enough good things about how wonderful they are!! Prompt, understanding, thorough, and have a great eye for pics. They truly understand lighting and angles and the pictures look incredible. Solid combo of poses, portraits and candids. Colby and his wife were so, so communicative and even easier to work with. Bueche Photography captured all aspects of my daughter's wedding excellently. The photos really illustrate the beauty of the venue and the personality of the bride and groom as well as the wedding party members. Not only are the photos beautiful, but I have never before worked with any photographer who turned around proofs so quickly. I could not believe Colby had the photos ready to view in such a short time. Also, this was a destination wedding so both the bride/groom and myself were across the country. It is scary to put your faith in any vendor when you are 800 miles away. From the very first phone call, though, I had confidence that we had the right photographer for the big event. Colby made it easy at every step of the way and really delivered exceptional results.

Bueche Photography is simply amazing! The Bueche's are very accommodating and prompt with responding to emails and phone calls. They are personabl, professional and so easy going. They are creative and also good with suggesting things that a bride sometimes doesn't think about. I would highly recommend them.

Colby Bueche is a highly professional photographer. He met with us and gave advice on our reception area and the best lighting area. He gave several other pointers as well. He came to the wedding professionally dressed. If I hadn't spoken with him before the wedding began, I would not have known he was present. His flash was not noticed during the wedding, The pictures are beautiful . I couldn't be more pleased. The only hard part is choosing our prints! If I need another photographer, he would be my first choice. He is a very humble, professional photographer. You will not be disappointed!

I could not give a more glowing review of the photography services provided by Bueche Photography. From my first conversation with Colby, I knew I was placing my wedding in the right hands. You can tell that he genuinely loves his profession. He provided good suggestions on how to create a better flow for all of the family pictures for the day of the wedding. On my wedding day, he and his spouse, Shirley, arrived promptly. I should note that my weather forecast changed from slight chance of thunderstorms to 90% chance of heavy rain. Colby was able to adjust quite easily to the change in weather and ceremony set up. He even create some unique photo opportunities making use of the weather. I received countless positive comments from my wedding guests in regards to the photographer. I have been able to see the proofs from the ceremony and reception. They are beautiful, clear, and capture the mood of my day. I highly recommend Bueche Photography.

I had my senior pictures taken by Bueche photography and it couldn't came out better! The experience was amazing. They are super fun and make you feel comfortable! I would totally recommend this to a friend!

we had the absolute best experience with Beuche Photography. They were responsive to my request and provided all the pricing information right away. Their prices are very competitive and they were willing to work with us on time and location.
During the shoot, Cody was extremely low professional and friendly. He noticed little details for example the clasp of my necklace and gave us instruction on how to position ourselves as to get the best picture. He had the profs to us in a week. We will definitely be using them again.

They went above and beyond. I remember at some point, Colby climbed on the fountain to get the perfect angle for a shot at the reception. Super flexible and very direct with the photos. They always knew where to place everyone, so I didn't have to do anything!!! It was really nice not having to worry about the pictures because I knew we were in good hands (once I saw my bridal photos)

Colby and his wife were absolutely perfect!!! From taking my bridals to my wedding. When I went to take my bridals we were dodging rain showers and he worked with me, very flexible. I chose Bueche Photography because of the beautiful work he has posted on his website and because of the pricing. I did a lot of reaseach from local photographers to those not so local and the price with the quality, there was no comparison, I had to book with Colby! I am so pleased with everything. He was very quick on getting my bridal proofs up and ready for me to choose. It has been a week since my wedding and I already have my proofs for the wedding (which are amazing!) I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! I am so pleased with everything from cost, flexibility, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Colby and Shirley were amazing. They showed up early to set up and take some shots of the venue and decorating. They were very professional. They are a very nice couple who make the whole experience as easy as possible. The pictures came out great. The lighting technique they used provided some awesome pictures. I shopped for at least 3 months looking for a photographer that would work with my budget. They were happy to help and I couldn't ask for better. They did an amazing job and I would highly recommend using Bueche Photography.

My husband and I absoutely LOVED them! We did our engagements with them and they were wonderful. They answer any questions you have and are very kind and very very professional! Our engagement pictures and wedding pictures came out amazing and would defiantly choose them again!

Colby and Shirley were so kind and professional from the start. They listened to what I wanted and didn't try to sell me on stuff we did not need. I loved how personable they both were and both my husband and I felt so comfortable with them. The entire experience was an absolute pleasure and our photos came out so beautiful!!! Several people at our wedding even commented on how professional and nice they both were.
Once we start a family, I will be hiring them again for family photos!

Bueche Photography is by far the best I have ever come in contact with and I have used many photgraphers in my life. Colby and his wife are able to give you everything you want and more. Colby takes the pictures that you want ie: family pictures, groom and bride, you walking out to your future husband....and so many more. His wife takes the candid pictures the ones I requested were of my husband's first site of me in my dress and when my husband told our family that our elopement party was actually the wedding. They were able to catch the memorable moments we will always be able to look back on and I am forever grateful. That is just one of the things that makes them the best. Any time we took pictures: engagements, bridal and actual wedding they were ready before he the actual date he gave us. They are both extremely talented photographers and I would recommend them over anyone. Thank you so much for all the help and cooperation and dedication y'all gave to my big day.

Bueche photography is the definition of professional!
They are an amazing couple! They deserve 5 stars! I would definitely recommend them to anyone! They worked side by side with me for over a year. Anytime I called or emailed they responded fast! Always willing to meet up with me to organize my perfect day no matter the time. Flexibility is key when your planning your own wedding and they were very flexible.
The prices were affordable plus all the prints that were included was a plus! They even emailed me to let me know the best bang for my buck on prints! The photographers Colby and Shirley make such a great team-- they were also team players with my videographer which is hard to get these days!
They were very understanding on my needs and fulfilled them!
As I mentioned before they are very professional and definitely know what they are doing! Also a photographer has to have a gift "great eye for shots" and looking through my pictures the shots were amazing. Many ppl tell me my pictures are like looking in a magazine!
Thanks again for capturing memories I can cherish and hold on too for the rest of my life!

I don't even have the words to describe my experience with Bueche Photography!!!! Amazing, awesome, outstanding... just to name a few!!!! Mr. & Mrs. Colby were a dream to work with!!!! Mr. Colby was soooo patient throughout the entire process and worked with me the entire way!!! He always made himself available to me and provided everything I needed!!! And this was no easy task as I was planning my wedding from Atlanta, GA. :) On my weddimg day they were there from start to finish and accomodated my last minute schedule change with a SMILE!!!! So, if you are searching for a wonderful family owned photographer, I would recommend Bueche Photography because you are going to get soooo much more than just pictures...You will have the experience of a lifetime!!!! Bueche Photography took my daughter's pre-bridal pictures at Bocage Plantation in Darrow. They were very flexible, we were going to take outside pictures, but due to heavy rain we had to move everything inside. Pictures were very dramatic and professionaly posed.

Mr. Bueche was the photographer for my son's wedding in March 2013. We enjoyed working with him so much, that we hired him for my daughter's wedding in June 2013. He is very flexible with scheduling and the type of photo/poses that you want to have captured for your special day. He took the time to get to know the couple & what they were looking for. I would definitely recommend this photographer and will also choose him the next time I have a need for a photographer.

I would absolutely recommend Bueche Photography to any Bride, no matter what the budget! My husband and I had a wedding on a budget, and I was so worried about our pictures. Where to begin on writing my review. Bueche Photography was beyond my expectations with my daughter's graduation pictures. Colby and Shirley were wonderful to work with they made the session so fun. I asked them in advance to do a special picture to incorporate my father in one of the pictures with him looking down on her. I never expected the picture to turn out the way it did it was so Natural looking. Thank you to both of you again making this day so special to us.

They were great. They were so nice and made me and my groom feel so comfortable when it came time to take pictures. On the downside I did not feel there were necessarily overly creative. I had to remind them to take pictures of my dress and me getting ready before the wedding. Other than that they were fantastic. Very patient the day of the wedding with all the commotion and made sure to make time for an intimate photo shoot with my new husband. Those pictures he took were my favorite. He also listened to everything I wanted. My pictures came out great and I didn't have to wait a month to get them!!

Having no personal connections or ties to Shirley or Colby, I was, of course, worried about their quality and performance...but choosing them to be our wedding photographer was the best choice we could have made. They were awesome to work with, very creative and the pictures came out wonderfully!

There were several exchanges that required split second timing to catch on film and surprisingly almost every one is in our proofs for review. I've worked with a handful of photographers and I don't think I've met one that is as on top of things as this couple. I would recommend them without question.
