I had such an amazing experience at Buckland! My wedding was in July of 2023. Let me start by saying the venue is absolutely beautiful. The outdoor site would have been perfect for us but we decided to have our ceremony in the barn, as I have always wanted a barn wedding. And what a unique story behind the 1899 barn! The family that runs the venue were just a joy to work with. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and take care of us. Even when we had some last minute needs Kirk went out of his way to meet them. We made sure to go over the contract at the final planning meeting and address any concerns we had. We loved the beverage service that works with Buckland! The getting ready rooms made for beautiful pictures and were just what we needed. The upstairs bridal suite was an absolutely STUNNING space to get ready and take pictures. Overall I am completely elated to write this review for Buckland and the family involved.

We are so thankful to have found Buckland for our wedding. From start to finish, the Chambers family was a joy to work with. They make you feel at home every time you're on the property and they allowed us to visit several times beforehand to plan out the big day. They worked hard to ensure the day panned out exactly as we wanted it to. They smoothly made arrangements when rain came through and they actively helped out during the reception. The farm is beautiful and there's nothing else like it in NW Ohio. The barn across the street created beautiful pictures as well. Our guests loved the bar set up and the outdoor areas! Our wedding was in August, so the AC was crucial and it was the perfect temp inside. Plenty of parking. Absolutely no complaints. I would recommend to anyone and be confident that their event would be a blast. Thank you!! -Maddie & Brandon

When my husband and I chose Buckland, we knew it was going to be a beautiful venue. But, let me tell you how absolutely BLOWN AWAY we were then our day finally came. Their pictures from previous events did not do them justice, at all. When I stepped into the barn and saw my dream come together better than I ever could have imagined, I sighed a breath of relief that we chose Buckland. The owners are an absolute delight and are so patient, pleasant, responsive, and attentive. Even through a pandemic, they made our dreams a reality. Do it, book them. You won’t be disappointed!

My fiancé and I loved the venue l. It was very well located and the view was amazing. It’s the best option in our opinion for a laid back country wedding.

Due to COVID-19, my fiancé and I had to switch venues at the last minute and Buckland popped up on our search. We couldn’t be more thankful to have stumbled upon this beautiful venue! We were able to have both our ceremony and reception at Buckland! It was perfect. From day one they were all so great to work with. Michaela is very quick to respond to any and all questions that came up and was always willing to reassure any worries I had. She rocks! Kirk and Carol were also fantastic to work with! I loved that they were readily available to help with anything and answer any questions we had. They all contributed to helping our day be perfect and run smoothly. Not only are they all great to work with, but Buckland is absolutely gorgeous! The inside is set up nicely with separate bride and groom rooms to get ready in right on site. There’s also a kitchen and bathrooms. Not to mention a huge cooler to store all the drinks we had! Also, there are so many awesome places to take pictures there which is a huge added bonus! Buckland is definitely the perfect wedding venue and I am so thankful we were able to celebrate our day there!

We are so happy we chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Buckland!! The owners were very accommodating and helped us bring our unique vision to life for our dream day! The venue was perfect! We were the first couple to get married in their historic barn - ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! We received so many compliments on how beautiful and unique the venue was; our guests still talk about it months later! If you're looking for the perfect wedding ceremony and reception location look no further!!

We changed our venue to Buckland three months before our wedding and they were amazing at helping us make our vision a reality! It's family owned and it shows. They are such a great family to work with and over an amazing place to get married!

Absolutely beautiful venue we had our wedding here in October of 2022 and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to spend our special day at!

Buckland was very responsive and accommodating to our every last need.

My husband and I got married on September 30th, 2022 and had our reception at Buckland. We would not recommend this venue to anyone. While this venue is beautiful, that is about the only positive thing about it. The owners sold us on being a family business that would not try to nickel and dime us. As we planned our special day, that was not the case at all. There were many empty promises made and multiple accounts of unprofessionalism and lack of communication. Empty promises included telling us at the initial meeting all extra items at the venue would be included, they would have multiple people helping at the reception, they could cut the cake if needed, and many other things. The owners also assured us that there would be yard games for guests, a fire pit going, the junk behind the barn would be removed, and the venue would have new lighting and other new decor. None of this was provided on our wedding day. I inquired about a section of the insurance that was to be purchased on May 20th, 2022 and had to follow up weekly until June 23, 2022 until they answered my question. The owners had no knowledge of what was to be filled out on the insurance but assured us it was very simple. They even told us it would only cost around 125$ but it was 235$ once we filled it all out. The reception chairs were filthy the day we checked out the venue which was 2 days before our rehearsal. Kirk assured us they would have all the chairs wiped off and put at the tables when we came to decorate. When we arrived to decorate, no table clothes were on and the chairs were still filthy and stacked up. Kirk proceeded to tell my husband we don’t unstack chairs, that is your guy's job. Kirk was briefly on site while we decorated, otherwise no one was there for us to ask questions or get things changed. Kirk also told my mom that he would be parking cars during our reception. There was only one person working from the venue the entire night inside the venue and no one to be found parking cars. We were very disappointed with how the owners of the venue sold us on providing exceptional service and this was far from what we experienced. The night before our wedding, I requested to have them cut our cake which we were assured would be okay if we needed it. Kirk emailed me the morning of the wedding letting me know that they don’t provide that service. We even had trouble with them involving our security deposit after the wedding. They did not return the whole thing and Kirk told us he wasn’t sure how many extra table clothes we used so he just made the check out for what he thought was the right thing. While this venue is beautiful, we are not quite sure what the large sum of money we paid even did for us aside from providing a building and 1 worker. If you chose to go with this venue, our best advice would be to get every single aspect of your day in writing from the start and have an event coordinator on the day off to make sure everything goes smoothly as the owners do not go the extra mile for their couples and may not on site for questions or problems.

After seeing these post I have to tell my truth. I would not recommend this venue to anyone. The owner puts on a front as if he is so nice, will be there for you, doesn’t nickel and dime you, family owned family proud…that was a show. He is a salesman. We were promised so much when we signed our contract, even showed us blueprints of what it will look like by our wedding, and only 1-2 updates we’re completed by our wedding. I was so excited about the bridal suite and it wasn’t done so we were in a room. The day of Kirk was no where to be found and we had wifi issues and couldn’t get ahold of him forever then he blamed it on our DJ instead of just trying to help a stressed bride and groom. We didn’t have music for an hour because we couldn’t get ahold of him to help our DJ (who has been there before). We had to move all of the chairs ourselves in the morning and after the wedding. He told us we didn’t clean the kitchen good at the end of the night so I (the bride) was in there cleaning up.. overall very stressful experience on what is supposed to be a great day. When we first signed they said they would do all of that. I could go on and on. Not worth the money even if the venue is beautiful. I will say his daughter was amazing and did communicate with us very well. Wedding venues need to realize this is not just a business, this day is the most important day in someone’s life. Be available when needed.
