They are amazing!

I LOVED THEM! They were awsome. They really do care. They got to know most of the people by name and just danced with all of us and made me feel like a queen! When you say you want a song they make sure to play it. The green screen was a hit! I really couldn't have had the most amazing wedding without them! ❤

Surprise Wedding

So with the help of Brian and Buckeye State Entertainment I was able to trick my girlfriend and family to a surprise birthday party, that was actually and engagement party that an hour later turned into a full wedding. Couldn't have pulled this off without the help of Brian and his crew. They not only met with me at times that were convenient for me to keep this secret but helped with music and pretty much everything. Thank you for you help my wife and I couldn't be happier!!!

Buckeye State was awesome!! I can't thank them enough for the amazing job they did at my wedding. Joe, who I was told is a friend of Brian's, was so on top of everything from beginning to end. He was sure to take note of every detail even down to the colors of our wedding so he could dress accordingly. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The booth Joe had was super cool, the lights were awesome and every one loved the green screen photos booth! Thank you for making our night go on without a hitch!

My husband and I utilized the DJ services provided by Buckeye State Entertainment for our wedding this past February (2018). Brian did a fantastic job with every aspect of the reception from the time our wedding party arrive until the last guest left the dance floor. He delivered excellent entertainment services, paid attention to even the most minute of details and, ultimately, provided the kind of service you expect from a wedding vendor but, unfortunately, most often do not receive. I would highly recommend Buckeye State Entertainment and hope that I get to use their services again in the near future.

Brian and his team exceeded our expectations! They really went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth and perfect for us. They kept the party going and made sure that everyone had a great time. I would recommend anyone else!

Of course our wedding was everything that we'd hoped for and more but a lot of that was due to Brian and his beautiful assistant. Easy to work with and our guest absolutely loved the green screen photo booth. Wouldn't have been the same without them.

Brian did such a great job being the DJ for our wedding. He played the songs we requested and added some of his own to keep our guests out on the dance floor. He used purple uplighting in our venue and the whole place glowed! His service also came with someone who took pictures throughout the reception and they came out great! It was really fun to see all our guests dancing and enjoying themselves! I would highly recommend Buckeye State Entertainment to DJ YOUR wedding!

Me and my wife had the best time due to Buckeye State. They kept everyone on the dance floor and made our day amazing. We could not have asked for a better DJ. Took the stress out of organizing and coordinating our wedding. Would recommend Buckeye State for any event you would have.

I would like to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO Brian Hostler !!! Where is the 1,000 star button on here ? Because 5 starts is not enough ! If you don't have Buckeye State Entertainment entertain your wedding your missing out ! These guys are the best , they really get the party started and pumped , ready to tear up the dance floor ! Again Brian I can't thank you enough , even my 90 year old grandmother fell in love with you she couldn't believe that amazing job you did , and she is still talking about it ! Brian was AWESOME! From following our thorough itinerary (lol) and many requests for the day- he did amazing and got exactly what we wanted, his communication was very clear and I'm very glad he was part of our day! We also had Dreama running the green screen which was a HUGE success!! I also think Nina (photographer) came with them as well, the day was perfect in every way! Thank you Buckeye State Entertainment!

Buckeye state entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding! Brain was a huge help From the get go! Music was amazing and he had the guest up and dancing and kept everyone entertained! I would highly recommend Brian from Buckeye State Entertainment for your DJ needs. Brian was a professional and also fun to work with. He did an excellent job keeping people on the dance floor for the entire night. He also had a second photographer who captured some great candid shots from the reception. Brian was the DJ at my cousin's wedding 7 years ago and since that time he was by far the best DJ I've ever seen at a wedding. So when it was time for me to get married we knew we had to have him. Sure enough Brian went above and beyond to ensure my guests were having fun and dancing all night long. He was also a wonderful MC. The glam cam was great! They went out of their way to capture everyone enjoying themselves. I cannot say enough good things about them, they really are the best!

Mike and buckeye state entertainmwnt helped our wedding to be the best day ever. He was very open to the personal touches I wanted even when they may have seemed silly. They went the extra mile to know every detail to make sure the day ran smoothly. All of my family and friends expressed how amazing and how comfortable the atmosphere was thanks to Mike.

Brian did a great job at my reception! He had everyone dancing and having a fun time. He even met with us ahead of time to plan every special thing we wanted to do and also surprised us with even more fun activities.

Brian was so awesome. We used him for ceremony music as well as the reception because we got married in a barn. He taked and met with us several times to discuss exactly what we wanted. he made sure that EVERY SINGLE PERSON was on the dance floor, including grandma! Everyone has said what a fun time our day was and I owe that to our DJ.

Best. Dj. Ever!! I met Brian, the owner of Buckeye State Entertainment a year before the wedding at a bridal show in Canton. Brian was very personable, and when talking to him, I could see that he really is passionate about his company and providing the best services to his clients. They don't just provide music, but they have the Glam Cam which captures all of the fun (our photos were posted within 48 hours) and they also work as your reception coordinator the day of the wedding working with your other vendors - I didn't have to worry about a thing. When we met DJ Diabeatz to discuss the wedding details, we were so impressed. He was very laid back and completely understood us and what exactly we were wanting. He completely delivered the night of the wedding and his wife took amazing glam cam photos!! It was nice to see that he also has a passion not only for this industry and making his clients happy, but also for Buckeye State Entertainments reputation - and he worked on his birthday!! The decorations and food are definitely important and something people won't forget, but the music at your reception is what really sets the tone with your guests - we have been receiving compliments HOURLY that our DJ was incredible and that they have never been to a wedding where the dance floor is packed the entire time! My best advice is to not dictate every song played, give your DJ an idea of what you and your fiancé like and what you're wanting and let them do the rest. This is certainly a company you can have complete confidence in! The pricing is VERY reasonable especially for the amount of services they provide. We can't thank BSE enough and will certainly remember DJ Diabeatz's birthday every year!

We recently just got married and we were recommended to use Buckeye State Entertainment from our photographer (Eighty Eight Photography) and it was a great choice! We had met with Brian Hostler a couple of times before the actual wedding date. He was awesome to work with. He provided us with a website that we were able to log into at anytime and make playlist of songs we wanted played at the wedding and songs that we did not want to be played. Finding a DJ without being able to hear them before hand is somewhat nerve wrecking because everyone has different taste, but they really took into account the music we wanted to be played and were able to work off of that. Everyone at the wedding danced the whole entire time we were there. At midnight the dance floor was still packed full of people dancing. He also had an assistant who did the Glam Cam walked around and took pictures all night of people at the wedding and posted a link onto my facebook page of all the pictures with no cost and uploaded the link less than 24 hours! No one wanted the night to end because he played such great music. He made this portion of wedding planning super easy and not stressful at all. I would recommend everyone to use Buckeye State Entertainment they did an amazing job!

We were very happy with the service we received from Buckeye State Entertainment. Jeremiah was our DJ he was fantastic. He kept our guests involved in our reception. We enjoyed the glam cam service provided as these were great candid photos of our guests that our photographer was not there to get In some cases.

Buckeye State Entertainment was recently our DJ at our wedding this August. Great company, great people and we would recommend them to our friends. DJ Yea Yea and Mario attended our wedding. They were very friendly, professional and easy going, they were a perfect fit for our barn wedding. They took many great photos of our guests and bridal party as well. It was August, in Ohio, in a barn with no air conditioning and they never missed a beat or complained because of the heat. The music for the ceremony and reception sounded great, the lights looked good and it went perfectly! They helped us follow a timeline and worked great with the other vendors.The guests moved outside to dance and they rearranged and made it work out flawlessly. They were even patient with the rooster who wanted to hang out with them on their table. :)

I have to say that a DJ will make or break you wedding. I have to say that Buckeye made it for my daughter and son-in law. They played what was requested and did not play what was on the do not play list. They were professional and got the crowd up and dancing. After the wedding we got so many complaints on our choice of a DJ and a few that said they will keep them in mind for future events. I don't think I can say enough on how happy I was with their service.

Mike "DJ Yea Yea" and Brian " DJ Easy B" went above and beyond our expectations as DJs at our wedding reception. They made sure that all the reception activities took place and had some fun games planned. There was a good mix of music and the dance floor was full the entire night! Great job keeping our guests entertained. Received nothing but compliments from our guests on what a great DJ we had. He played the right songs at the right time to keep our guests on the dance floor. Additionally his assistance helped choreograph line dancing which got even more people on the floor. Great overall experience and would recommend with no reservations

From the start their website is setup for you to enter your timeline of your reception, your song choices, etc. It was very easy to use and made the reception flow easily.

From the start of the reception and cocktail music, through the wedding party announcements, toasts, cake cutting and first dance they were spot on. They also provided entertainment with a cute Q and A before the first dance (that our guests and us loved!); an instructor for the line dances; and a very adorable anniversary dance with advice to be given to us (and I can't mention on here the laughs from my cousin's advice). In addition to being a great DJ and wonderful entertainment they provided us with over 350 pictures. These were some of the best shots of couples and dancing I have seen. Finally, their light set up helped make the party. I was a little nervous about it being to club-like, but it was tasteful and really helped the dancing and fun atmosphere.

Turkey, the best DJ service you could have (and at a very reasonable price)!!!!!!

Brian was an excellent DJ at our wedding. We had such a wonderful time! He was very easy to get a hold of and to talk too and worked through every part of the reception with us. With all my crazy demands for music he was right on top of it and never skipped a beat! Except... playing the YMCA, but honestly I didn't even notice. (now it is an inside joke)

Brian was NEVER "Mr. Microphone" I truly appreciated that and played music all night. He knew when the right time to change things up with the bouquet toss, or garter removal, cutting the cake, etc. Always keeping people on the dance floor.

Showing our guests new dance moves was the best! It was nice to see some family members get out there and do the Wobble Line Dance!

I still talk to Brian even after the wedding, he has helped out with the foundation that I volunteer for and provided the photobooth at our event!

He has become a great friend and can't wait until May when he will be DJ-ing at my Brother-in-Laws wedding. It's going to be a blast.

I HIGHLY recommend Buckeye State Entertainment.

Brain did a great job at our wedding. Everyone at our wedding had a really good time. He was very organized and made our night go very smoothly . There was never a moment without someone on the dance floor . We were very pleased with everything and highly recommend him to everybody. My best feedback comment is that I LOVED hearing my guests say that they had a great time, that my DJ did an amazing job! I was afraid that our dance floor was going to be empty but Brian got everyone involved and kept the evening full of entertainment. I will recommend Buckeye State Entertainment to everyone - for all of their events! Thank you Brian for an unforgettable reception!

We used Brian as our DJ and he was nothing short of phenomenal. From the music, to getting people involved, and being very personable, all the way around it was just great. It was so nice to have a reliable and thoughtful entertainment company. It took so much stress off my wife and I while we were planning the wedding. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not going with Buckeye State Entertainment.

Best DJ in NE Ohio! Had our dance floor packed all night long. Talked on the mic just enough, but not too much. Great music choices that had everybody happy. Would recommend to anyone looking for entertainment services!!

The DJ, Brian, interacted with guests, took plenty of requests, and kept the night running smoothly with his selection of songs. He also kept guests dancing with smiles on their faces! Overall, it was an awesome event.

My wife and I got married a few years ago and Brian DJ'd our wedding. I recommend him to anyone I know that needs a DJ. If I have a party Brian is the guy I'm calling. Period.

Brian proved to be an AWESOME DJ at our wedding! My biggest fear was that nobody would be dancing and that was definitely not the case. We gave him free range to play what the crowd wanted to hear and he did an excellent job of reading them. Almost everyone was dancing the whole night and I still get comments about how much fun my wedding was. Several people at the reception asked for his info and I recommend him to anyone planning a wedding. He was so great to work with!

Drew did an amazing job! Everyone commented on how great our DJ was. He made sure everyone was having fun and announced all the night's events so no one missed anything, like the bouquet toss and cake cutting. People were having so much fun that we paid him extra to stay another hour at our wedding! The company can be hard to get ahold of sometimes, but they do excellent work.

Fun Greek Wedding

I had Buckeye State Entertainment DJ my wedding, and they were amazing! My DJ was Joe, and he was so accommodating when I said I was having many Greek guests, and I wanted a mix of Greek and popular music. When I sent him some songs, he had every single one in his collection. He was so fun to have as a DJ, and many of our guests thought he was the best part of the reception. We had such a fun party, and the music was a huge part of it. I would recommend them for anyone, especially if you're having a Greek wedding!

I was extremely disappointed in this DJ service. Our wedding was beautiful- however the DJ service did put a slight damper on the evening. Our DJ called my groom by the wrong name several times (YIKES), was hard to understand in the microphone, and had to be reminded about announcements that needed made (maybe i shouldn't have assumed that he would have done the announcing for our reception).. but I hoped he would have done more throughout the night. I had a very hard time getting a hold of my DJ-we were only able to do a phone meeting 3 DAYS before my wedding due to his lack of responsiveness. I was so surprised at this because all of the reviews were great for Buckeye State, I was even referred to them, however I would never be able to refer them for another wedding. So disappointed. I've tried to reach out but have not heard back from the owner about my experience. :(

On our wedding day, our actual DJ Mikey and his wife Autumn were absolutely incredible. They were so attentive, getting appetizers for us while we waited in the bridal suite, and made sure everyone was having a great time throughout the night. However, the experience with the company itself leading up to and even after the wedding left A LOT to be desired. After booking Buckeye State Entertainment for our wedding DJ and photobooth, we didn't receive our login and password as agreed and had to wait a few extra days for that issue to get straightened out. Not the biggest deal in the world, but a bit aggravating. As the wedding day got closer, we had not heard from Buckeye regarding who our DJ would be and when we could meet with them to finalize some details. It wasn't until 2 weeks before our wedding, after I finally decided to email the owner Brian about this, that we finally got the name and contact info for our DJ. Once the wedding day had passed, we waited anxiously for our glam cam photos (that Autumn took at our reception) and the photos from our green screen/photo booth to be posted. After almost 3 weeks of waiting, I reached out, only to be told that the website had been "hacked," but the photos would be uploaded by the end of the coming weekend. About another 3 weeks and several unanswered emails to the owner later, the glam cam photos were finally posted, but not the ones from the green screen. Also, the description from our wedding stated the wrong wedding venue. So it has been another 2 weeks, and another 3 unanswered emails, and we still have yet to see our green screen photos posted.
It has become exceedingly clear that customer satisfaction and service is not a sincere focus for this company. If it weren't for Mikey, Buckeye would have gotten less stars in my book. If you are looking for a DJ that will walk you through the process and be responsive to your questions or concerns before, during, and after your big day, this is NOT the DJ for you...

Unfortunately, mine and my husband's recent experience with this company was frustrating and resulted in some seriously stressful times, specifically throughout our planning process. While our wedding entertainment was in fact a success and people were out on the dance floor clearly enjoying themselves that night, this was the most difficult of all our vendors to deal with. Simply stated, we met with Brian a year in advance to schedule and sign a contract with HIM. HE was not who entertained our wedding and that, I feel, was deceitful. He sold us with his charisma and super fun demeanor, then did not deliver. Furthermore, it definitely took SIX WEEKS to successfully schedule a meeting with the man that did entertain our event. After repeated unanswered messages from Brian, I basically felt that I had to beg someone to address my priorities and concerns associated with our special day. It was literally less than a week before our big day when we were able to schedule something. Overall not a complete bust, but I definitely expected more.
