the best venue!!

This venue is absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and Gretchen was very friendly and quick to respond whenever I had a question. We got so many compliments about the venue and would recommend this place to anyone. We had 185 guests and we had plenty of room to move around. The getting ready room for the girls was very spacious and comfortable. The room for the guys is pretty small but they only used it to change so it wasn’t a big deal. The driveway up to the barn and over by the cows were such good spots to take pictures. Definitely consider Brookside for your event!!

Beautiful!!!

As soon as I stepped on the property and looked around, I KNEW it was my venue! The barn was gorgeous and the chapel was beautiful, too! They were great and accommodating to work with and made sure my day looked exactly how I wanted! I’m grateful I had my special day at Brookside Farm!

The Best Rustic Farm in NEO Ohio

I recently got married at Brookside and it was the best day ever. It is absolutely gorgeous there. Everyone was raving over being able to sit outside on the deck, or out by the chapel. The only thing I'd say wasn't ideal was thursday rehearsal (makes sense since they have friday weddings).. and not being able to get into the venue and set up until 9 am. All in all it was the best day. Jason, Gretchen, and Bob truly go above and beyond for all their wedding couples. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful rustic barn to look no further than Brookside. Absolutely amazing!

Absolutely amazing venue and staff

Brookside was an amazing venue to have our wedding at. We only went to one venue and Brookside was the first and only one. We walked in and the were like this is it. That's how nice it was! Gretchen was their liason between us and Brookside. Gretchen was amazing, she helped us decide how we should have things go and helped my wife with some ideas. She was always on top of our emails and getting back to us. She is super nice, friend and supportive! As far Jason and the rest of the staff, they were super helpful! If my wife wanted to use any of their decorations or get pictures any where they let us. They made us feel like we were family and made the night go really smooth and stress free. Highly would recommend them!

Gorgeous, Stree Free, Accommodating

As soon as we saw Brookside we fell in love with it. Bob, Gretchen and Jason were so beyond helpful. They all answered our questions quickly and were always so pleasant. I cannot thank Jason enough for everything Jason and his team did on the day of our wedding to make it everything exactly how we wanted it! We even had a strand of one of our light curtains that wasn't working and one of the staff members went above and beyond and out of his way to help us get it working again! I never thought I would feel so stress free on my wedding day and I have Brookside staff to thank for that! The bridal suite to get ready in is huge and it was such a nice space to get ready in. The chapel being on site was exactly we were looking for and so easy to accommodate guests. We received so many compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the venue was! Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more!!! Thank you so much Brookside! Highly recommend!!!

Amazing!!!!!

Such a beautiful place. Everything was amazing! Jason was so helpful throughout the day and made sure all was handled! Every staff member we encountered was so helpful and nice. Highly recommend!

Best venue we could have chosen!

Choosing Brookside as our venue was the first decision we made for our wedding and probably the best one as well. We fell in love with the place the moment we saw it and received so many compliments from our guests. John, Bob, and Gretchen are so great and so helpful. They always got back to me quickly if I had questions and they are all a joy to work with. Krista (sorry if it’s misspelled!) and Jason were also so helpful the day of the wedding, and even brought a golf cart to help me get from the bridal suite to the chapel without messing up my dress in the rain. It rained and hailed on our wedding day but our guests hardly noticed because the venue was so gorgeous. We can not recommend Brookside enough!!

I worked with John at Brookside. He was very responsive. We had a Sunday wedding because it is booked very far out. I highly recommend this venue.

I had my wedding there last week. After 2 years of planning for the event, I could not be happier! Bob, Jason, and Gretchen were very easy to work with throughout the whole process. They helped to make our day perfect.
Gretchen replied very quickly to all questions that I had during the planning process. Guests had a great experience and absolutely loved the property. Our ceremony was in the beautiful chapel so weather was not a worry of mine because I knew we would be covered regardless. The addition of new hardwood floors in the barn and air conditioning were just icing on the cake. The venue was very clean and the bridal suite downstairs was the perfect place to get ready! Jason was also very helpful while we were getting ready to ensure we had what we needed. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone for your special day!! You definitely will not regret it!

I absolutely LOVED my experience working with Brookside Farms as the venue for my wedding. It was so beautiful, everyone was kind, and our guests LOVED it. They have been making so many improvements, such as putting in air conditioning and they built a beautiful deck behind the barn. Wayne, John, Bob, and Gretchen were so so so kind and helpful and a pleasure to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a venue.

Brookside was our dream venue! Since it was a barn wedding we had a lot of flexibility, but the day turned out perfect! The barn has a lot of supplies from leftover weddings which we were allowed to use, and the venue had suggested vendors which made our job easier. My husband and I also spent the night at the farmhouse, which was adorable! The farmhouse does have well water, but if you are used to that then it won't bother you at all! We also had our ceremony in the chapel, which we received many compliments on. The venue is kind of pricey especially since alcohol is separate, but it was worth every penny! The owners take tremendously good care of the farm, and it was beyond beautiful.

We absolutely loved Brookside and the guys there (and Gretchen!). The property is absolutely gorgeous and the barn was exactly what we were looking for. Working with them was super easy and they were very accommodating to our needs.

LOVED Brookside Farms!! Wayne was amazing, and did everything he could to make our day perfect! The only downside of this vendor was the price, lack of air conditioning, and that you have to bring everything in yourself. Wayne and the guys were awesome at giving recommendations though.

Fell in love as soon as I took the first step into the barn! Amazing place and everyone was friendly! My fiance and I decided and signed papers that day! We also decided to have the ceremony and reception all at the same site. Cannot wait for May 7, 2016!

We booked Brookside 2 years before our wedding date and we were amazed at all the upgrades they had made and are still making! The barn is absolutely beautiful and there are ample outside locations to get married! The staff was so helpful allowing us to visit as many times as we needed and very helpful on our wedding day with coordinating different vendors and helping set up our ceremony site. Gretchen was also very timely in answering all of our questions! I'm so glad we picked Brookside!

We just had my daughter's wedding at Brookside Farm in Louisville, Ohio. What a lovely location for a more relaxed wedding!!. The grounds are beautiful from the time you pull in the driveway. There are many areas to experience like the covered bridge, small creek, gazebo, acres of pristine land, and yes, they have cows! Just so happened, there was a new baby calf in the pen near the barn. Where else can you go to a wedding a pet a baby calf?

Wayne and Wanda were the best!! You asked, you received. They remained near the barn during the whole evening to assist with anything we needed. They have golf carts to assist the handicapped and also take the girls out to the field so they can walk up from the horizon for the ceremony. It was beautiful!! We discussed an area where we wanted the ceremony and they knew exactly how to set it up (I think they have done this before). There is this small grapevine arch on the property that is very portable and I believe has been to many of the weddings there. We were allowed to use it for my daughter's wedding (at no charge) and it gave just enough "rustic" to the wedding while we provided the elegance.

With the right caterer, you could literally just walk onto the property the day of the wedding and just enjoy yourself. There is enough ambient lighting and decorations to allow the relaxed, rustic to any wedding. If you choose to decorate (like we did), you are only responsible for taking down and removing your decorations at the end of the night. The caterer and Wayne and crew, do the rest.

Thank you everyone at Brookside Farm for the perfect setting for our family wedding!!

My fiance and I both love the venue & can't wait until our wedding! The staff at Brookside is very helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. The preferred list of vendors given by Brookside was helpful in finding local vendors who were familiar with the location. Beautiful venue inside and out. Thank you Brookside Farm!

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding at Brookside Farms. We fell in love with the barn from photos we saw online and it was even more beautiful in person. All the owners are so kind and just could not have been more helpful. We found everything (pricing, timing, rules, etc.) to be really straightforward, no surprises. The office contact was patient with all my (many) questions and always emailed back quickly. I just can't say enough good things about this place and we absolutely loved working with everyone.

Excellent and beautiful venue!!!! only downfall is that it is not air conditioned. I got married on a day that it was 90 degrees and everyone was way too hot.... made my guests leave early because they wanted to be out of the heat.

You really can't beat this venue. Stunningly gorgeous - the barn needed no extras other than our flowers and some extra lighting features. The grounds are wonderful, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were going for: elegant and rustic. The owners are wonderful too; down-to-earth, helpful and kind. You cannot go wrong choosing this place!

They are absolutely the nicest, easiest people to work with. They bend over backward to make sure you have a wonderful day. The venue is stunning all on its own and doesn't require much to decorate. Very accessible for elderly or disabled and they are constantly working to improve the venue.

Perfection!

From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere and landscaping, the scenic driveway, is all just breathtaking. It's a very well run operation by a small crew. Gretchen is wonderful in the office and very responsive. Now on the day of, there is seemingly no help. In actuality there are a few employees, but only one that works. From the time we arrived to the time the event ended, he was Johnny on the spot. Nothing less than perfect. He handles the vendors, the bartenders, everything. And a local vendor told us he's leaving which is awful to hear, because everyone else was rude or incapable of helping. That is if you can find them. I won't drop names, but HR needs to get their head checked.

Jason and all of the staff at Brookside were friendly and hepful. While due to scheduling of other weddings we could not do our rehearsal on site everything else was perfect! My guests loved the venue. It gave us many options with indoor/outdoor seating/activities. They were flexible with all of our decorating ideas and outside vendors. Beautiful setting!

This venue is a bit pricey but I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else! All of the employees and owners were great to work with! Brookside is an amazing, breathtaking venue.

I recently had my wedding at Brookside Farms and it was the perfect wedding. If you are looking for a barn/rustic themed wedding, this is the place. Wayne and his wife Wanda were so sweet and helpful with everything. ALL of my guests raved about the beauty of the grounds and reception barn and some even told me it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to. Always nice to hear :)

The only reason I rated it down on flexibility was because they have 3 weddings a weekend there. Therefore, you cannot come set anything up the day prior to you wedding. For me it was not a problem at all but but I can see how that would be a hassle for some.

I just got married this past Saturday and I cannot begin to describe how perfect it was! All three of the Brookside owners plus their receptionist worked so hard to make our day amazing. The outdoor ceremony was exactly how I had pictured, they set all of the chairs up how I wanted and were very behind the scenes with before and after arrangements as not to interrupt the flow of the wedding. The barn was perfect and they set up all of the tables and chairs as expected. Between my mom and I, we visited the farm before the big day about 5 times and there was always someone there to answer questions and provide information. I lived out of state and emailed the receptionist quite often with questions and she responded within 1 day if not 1 hour. Although the weather was perfect for an outside ceremony, I would not have been disappointed if we had to move it inside the chapel due to weather because of how beautiful and quaint the chapel was. Yes the venue was the most expensive out of any we had looked at, but you absolutely get what you pay for. AND they let you use any outside vendor for any aspect of your wedding besides alcohol service (which we used their preferred vendor and they were amazing!)

When I saw pics of brookside, I knew this was the place! They did not disappoint. We threw a great party. We loved how much space there was, three distinct areas: dining room, bat and dance floor let guests choose their own adventure. The staff was great. They went above and beyond to make my "tea social" idea a great success. Gretchen and the owners were easy to reach and always had an answer. I loved staying in the farmhouse with my mom and sister the night before the wedding. We only wish the party was still going on!

Brookside farms is an absolutely beautiful reception/ceremony venue!! It was exactly what I was looking for for my wedding! The property and barn are so well kept! Also, the people who own it are flexible and great to work with, providing extra little things that other venues don't!!! I had a wonderful experience using brookside for my wedding!!!

We could not have been happier with our ceremony and reception at Brookside Farm. From the moment we set foot in the barn, I knew this was the place to have our wedding. The barn is simply gorgeous, and the owners are constantly making updates and renovations to make sure their venue stays current. Leading up to our wedding, Gretchen was so calm and prompt in answering my many questions and reassuring any doubts I had. On the big day, Jason ran around wild ensuring all our last minute details were perfect. Our guests loved this unique setting, and especially enjoyed relaxing on the stunning deck to the barn. It was very hot the day of our wedding, and the air conditioning wasn’t quite as cool as I would have liked, but this was a minor flaw compared to the excellent service and beautiful surroundings. My highest recommendation goes to Brookside Farm and their team!

Brookside Farm was a unique venue that made both my wedding and reception very memorable. They were great to work with. The only thing that was a little difficult is that they do weddings fri, sat and sun of each weekend so you can only do rehearsal on thurs. therefore we had to find somewhere else to do the rehearsal.

If you are looking for a beautiful barn venue, this is the place! Just be prepared, as it books quickly (even Fridays and Sundays). If you are planning a Saturday wedding also be prepared to budget a little more money before booking. If you are planning a summer wedding, be prepared as there is no air conditioning. The owners were easily reached through email with any questions we had prior to the wedding day. They were also available on wedding day at the venue during set up and clean up.

The barn is updated with modern indoor bathrooms, a bridal parlor, and bar. There is a screen which allowed us to run a slide show of our pictures throughout the evening. The grounds provide a perfect place to take pictures! The entire atmosphere was casual, yet elegant; this allowed the guests to feel at home and have a great time. The guests frequently commented on how wonderful it was! We highly recommend Brookside!!

If you are looking for an amazing, unique venue, then Brookside is for you! Except for the heat, our wedding night was a success! We had compliments all night on how beautiful the place was! We dealt with all 3 of the owners and never had an issue. We were extremely pleased with their services and the flexibility to all us to decorate on a Thursday. We really appreciated the help in making our wedding amazing. The only downfall, it gets SO HOT! Perhaps a few more fans?

The most beautiful place in Ohio I believe to have a wedding, especially for a country or rustic wedding. The responsiveness from the team there is fantastic, any questions that I had were answered within 24 hours and they made me feel at home (no question was a dumb question). I cannot wait to have my wedding and reception here in less than 3 months.........it truly will be a dream wedding!

Brookside Farms is a gorgeous wedding venue. It is really the only thing of its kind in the canton/akron area. I have nothing bad to say about the venue-it really speaks for itself.

The men who run the property are also amazing. They are very flexible-they made sure that every request we had was taken care of. Although they have some pretty strict rules about the property they will work with you to try and find a solution to your problem.

This place is a bit on the pricey side- but it is well worth it-I promise you!!

As soon as we saw this venue, we had to have our wedding there! I had my heart set on a barn wedding, and it was amazing! The grounds as well as the actual barn are beautiful! Makes for great pictures! Overall, the owners were pretty easy to work with. They give you their cell phone numbers, and they always answer. Wayne is great! He’s very nice, and super helpful! A couple of things to note-you are not allowed any glass or flames (no real candles). This was something that was a negative for me. Also, the barn is not air conditioned. We ended up having one of the hottest days of the year in September, and it was extremely hot and stuffy in the barn. It is heated though if you have a winter wedding! Overall, great venue!

Having my daughter's wedding at Brookside Farms in Louisville was truly amazing. The wedding was Sept. 13, 2013 and unfortunately, very rainy and could. Having the extra area to have a inside wedding made it so easy to change locations from the outdoors. The barn is wonderful to having the reception in. We couldn't have been happier! So many compliments

The guys at Brookside are very friendly and want to make sure the bride has the perfect day. They have an old barn that's been renovated over the years- it has a very modern/chic look! They also offer outdoor and indoor ceremonies. However, compared to some other barns my fiancé and I saw, they are a little on the pricey side for us.

Owners are very easy to work with and very accommodating. Although, they are not around much during wedding for questions you may have.

The venue is gorgeous! You can really transform the barn to be anything you want, which is great because it can meet the needs of anyone. We rented the farm house so my girls and I could get ready in and they also offer a bridal suite that is located under the barn, which is where the groomsmen hung out. Since we had our ceremony and reception here we didn’t have to travel anywhere for pictures, there were so many different places for our wedding photos, it was amazing. The cost does add up since you have to bring in your own caterer but we felt it was completely worth it for the amazing setting. I had a great experience with them the only thing I noticed is that it helps to write everything down. Since they are somewhat of a newer venue they are constantly updating the barn, which is great, but it also means certain things get added to the price or the price goes up between the conversations you have with them. We didn’t have to worry about that so much because they honored the price that they had originally told us. I would definitely recommend this venue, call early, they book super fast!

Brookside farms is a beautiful venue and our wedding was beautiful. However some of the owners can be difficult to work with and you have limited time restrictions for setup and clean up.

Brookside Farms is an absolutely beautiful venue, and it didn't require much decorating, which was great and saved us some money. The owners are continually improving it- when we booked it for our wedding, which was in November 2011, they hadn't put in the beautiful bar or the getting ready room in the basement. However, these improvements means the venue is continually getting more expensive.

On top of that, they still don't have all of the features of a traditional wedding venue- we needed to rent sound systems for the ceremony and for our outdoor cocktail hour, they don't recycle on site... etc. Plus, they're still a little disorganized on the administrative side. Still- if you're looking for a non-traditional wedding venue that still works for a wedding, I'd say look no further.

gorgeous venue but lacking professionalism

Disclaimer: I had a beautiful wedding at Brookside this past weekend. I do not want to discredit anyone for the beautiful grounds, barn, and cleanliness of the venue. It is truly stunning and well maintained. This day wouldn’t have been possible without the most wonderful family and friends of mine.

That being said I would like to say this venue is run by the most unorganized and unprofessional group of people. Bob was great when he booked the venue and I had a good feeling. Then you meet Jason on your wedding day and wonder how you’re even gonna make it through the day. From trash talking our florist for a slight error in the morning including dropping the F bomb, to becoming extremely defensive when I confronted him about the men’s room to get ready in not being done (after he told my mom 4 days prior that it would be completed and only needed the flooring snapped together.) After my mom and dad ripped him a new one for the way he talked to me, my mom asked that he not show himself around me for the rest of the day. Thankfully this all happened upon arrival and I was soon able to relax and get on with the day. I am grateful for everything else being so perfect and gorgeous. Please beware before booking this venue. If you’re one who requires constant reassurance and communication I suggest either hiring a day of coordinator or looking elsewhere. I am sad to see other recent reviews saying the same thing. Such a beautiful place too. What freaking a shame. It’s only a matter of time until Jason runs this beautiful venue into the ground. Hopefully someone else takes over in the future.
