We had a great experience with Peri at Brooklyn Girl Bakery in creating a wedding cake that was better than we could have ever imagined. First off, the thing looked like a piece of artwork, and I have a fine arts degree. Second and most importantly, this was great wedding cake — just the right texture, rich flavor, and really good icing (cream cheese-based). We got the extra tier to save for our anniversary and let's just say only two slices are going to make that journey. She was both a pro and friendly to work with and was in and out of our wedding venue without us even seeing her arrange the flowers. Thanks Peri!

Highly recommend Brooklyn Girl Bakery!
Peri, the owner of Brooklyn Girl Bakery, is a true professional! We had the amazing opportunity to work with Peri through our caterer, Williamson, who had a special package through our venue (Brandywine Manor House). From the very first meeting with Peri, she took my vision and made it a reality. I wanted a cake with specific details - white marbling, textured tiers and gold accents. Peri immediately sent me different pictures with options to choose from and she nailed it!! As for the cake flavors - these were just WOW! We were able to select 4 different flavors for each tier (banana cake with salted caramel cream, peanut butter cake with Nutella cream, strawberry cake with cream cheese, and raspberry cake with lemon). We also received a 1-year anniversary cake to take home with us and I asked Peri to surprise us with the flavor - Can’t wait to dig back into her amazing cake on our first anniversary. I highly recommend Brooklyn Girl Bakery for your wedding cake!

Peri is an absolute rockstar and is exceptionally talented!! She helped to make our October 2023 wedding an absolute dream! From planning, to the day of, Peri was really awesome to work with. When we first saw the cake, I think both of our jaws dropped with how stunning it was! It was beyond anything we envisioned. It was perfect! She was honest and very helpful in helping me get the cake I wanted. She offers a variety of cake flavors and icings that were absolutely delicious. Peri did such an amazing job!! she was so responsive when emailing or messaging, she was incredibly easy to speak to and captured our cake image exactly how we wanted it for our wedding. A Viking/fantasy wedding can be hard to find for and Peri knocked it out of the park with it! her Flavors were to die for and someone I will for sure keep in mind for future events

LOVED Peri and our almond funfetti wedding cake
We absolutely LOVED working with Peri at Brooklyn Girl Bakery! Our tasting and cake were one of the highlights of the wedding planning process and we cannot recommend her enough. Peri was kind enough to add an almond flavor to her set of six tasting cakes, and it blew us away. She also accommodated the request for almond funfetti, which was a fun, personal twist that helped set our cake apart. The decorations were simple and gorgeous, and Peri was fantastic with helping us design the perfect cake for our day. We were lucky to take home some leftovers from the venue and spent the rest of the weekend eating tons of cake, and loved every bite!

Stress-Free Wedding Cake
Our wedding reception venue gets their wedding cakes from Brooklyn Girl Bakery, and the owner, Peri, was so wonderful to work with. She took plenty of time to talk with me and answer our questions when deciding on a design and flavors. The design that we agreed on was exactly what we discussed, and it looked so beautiful. All of the flavors we chose were just as delicious as they were when we did our tasting. If we’re in need of another special-occasion cake near the area, we would choose her.

Simply The Best!!
Peri honestly became my best friend throughout my wedding planning process due to how often we spoke. She made my beautiful cake and cookie favors; both were absolutely delish! So many people raved about the cake at our wedding and asked if they could take some home! I honestly feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Peri. My husband and I want to start a tradition where we buy a "Peri Cake" any time we have a special occasion to celebrate. Not even a full week after our wedding and we are already annoying Peri for more of her delicious sweets! They're THAT good! Do yourself a favor and hire my girl- she is THE BEST!

Peri makes delicious, beautiful cakes
Peri created our dream wedding cake. She took our vision and ran with it, graciously drawing a sketch when we had trouble visualizing it, and accepting input . She was sensible and helped us keep additional cost down by only making 1 tier have fondant and having suggestions for the other tiers. The cake flavors and icings were so tasty and we cannot wait to get another cake from her!

The cake looked amazing and it tasted so good! Even a few days after the wedding, we're still eating the leftovers! We got to pick multiple icing/cake flavors which helped so we didn't have to narrow it all down to one choice for each. Peri made the whole process so smooth from taste testing through the wedding day! We would definitely recommend!

Pleasant Interactions and Perfect Cake
Peri was wonderful to work with. The tasting process was so much fun and so easy to set up. After a few virtual consultations, we were all set. Everything was so easy with Peri, and her clear and consistent communication made us feel great about hiring her. The cake was beautiful, and she was able to work with our florist to incorporate flowers into the design. More than that, the cake was delicious. People are still talking about how much they loved the lemon cake with raspberry jam. If you have the chance to work with Peri, we definitely think you should.

Easiest and Tastiest Decision
Peri, like her cakes, is equal parts sweet and delightful. Our venue has a contract with two different bakeries and we had the luxury of trying both. While both bakeries had delicious cakes, Brooklyn Girl could not be beat. Not only were her cakes, frosting, and fillings delicious, but her enthusiasm for good service has no match. She let us do two tastings so we could try as many flavors as possible and even let us sample her fondant (which is remarkably delicious). She has such stellar creative ability and one look at her instagram makes that most evident. She took our ideas and created a true masterpiece. Having worked with the venue many times in the past, she was able to make us a cake that not only fit our style but meshed immaculately with the style of our unconventional venue. The final product looked amazing, and tasted even better. We went with three different flavors for our three-tier cake: chocolate with pastry cream filling, lemon with raspberry jam, and banana with cinnamon cream cheese filling. Our guests raved about the cakes and we were fortunate enough to be have quite a bit to bring back home with us. Peri did such an amazing job and she was an absolute pleasure to work with, her performance on our wedding day clearly makes her victory on Netflix's Sugar Rush well-deserved.

Best Wedding Cake EVER
My husband and I used Brooklyn Girl Bakery for our wedding cake last weekend. Peri was such a pleasure to work with, was prompt with communication, and made the ordering process super easy. And of course the most important part, the cake was PHENOMENAL. We went with classic chocolate and vanilla layers with a buttercream frosting. It looked beautiful and tasted even better. Our guests loved it as well!! We will definitely be recommending Brooklyn Girl Bakery from now on.

Perfection!
I met with Peri for our cake tasting on 3/12/20 for our 6/6/20 wedding date. Right before the world shut down. Little did we know that 3 dates later my now husband and I would finally be able to have our special day on 9/12/21. Each time we had to postpone Peri was more than happy to rearrange our date. She was a pleasure to work with. More than a year and a half later we both had forgotten exactly how the cake was going to look but were SOOO pleasantly surprised with how amazing it looked. We used the cake topper that my grandparents used on their wedding cake 50 plus years ago and it was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. All of our guests raved over how delicious it was. An uncle even told me the next day he enjoyed it so much that he was able to find 5 pieces to have! Haha! Thank you so much Peri for helping making our wedding special!

Love love the cake
I still dream of the wedding cake that was made for our wedding. Perry actually made us two cakes one last year for our ceremony and one for our reception this year. The cake was so beautiful and tasted amazing. We loved her banana cake with dark chocolate frosting. My guest still rave about it!

Our plans were changed a few times due to covid and Peri was extremely flexible with us. She dealt with me changing my mind a few times and had my vision come to life! Our tiny cake was perfect for our day. The cupcakes we also got were fantastic. The flavors were absolutely out of this world. Banana cake with cream cheese frosting was one of our favorites and I still, 5 months later crave and want more! Peris work was flawless, flexible and professional. We look forward to using Peri for future events and also look forward to diving into our anniversary cake!

Birthday Cake
We purchased a Birthday Cake for my daughter. Chocolate chip cake, Chocolate between the layers, and butter cream icing. Everyone loved the cake - decorated beautifully and delicious - best ever! Very Very pleased - highly recommended! We plan to purchase my daughter’s wedding cake at Brooklyn Girl Bakery !

The perfect experience!
Peri at Brooklyn Girl Bakery was awesome to work with from our first consultation to the final product on our wedding day. We loved getting to be creative in designing the exterior of our cake while filling it with the most delicious wedding cake we have ever tried! Seriously, if you don't buy your cake here I don't know what you are doing!

Wedding cake
We were married 10/27/18, and I still think about Brooklyn Girl Bakery’s delicious, perfect cake. It really was the most amazing wedding cake I’ve ever had. Peri made the whole process completely effortless for us. I’d highly, highly recommend her!

Beautiful & Delicious Cake!
Peri at Brooklyn Girl Bakery knows what she is doing! The cake was delicious and beautiful, and she truly listened to our feedback and requests for every detail. We had a 3 layer cake with a different flavor on each layer, and every guest raved about how good it was. At no extra charge you also get an anniversary tier to take home separately with you after the wedding - we can't wait to eat it!

Grooms cake and Wedding cake
From the beginning Peri was a pleasure to work with. She was very quick to respond to our inquiry and so easy to work with when designing our cakes. I had a surprise Batman grooms cake made which was beyond my expectations in appearance and flavor. Our wedding cake was absolutely AMAZING! It was like Peri took the vision right out of my head. Not only did the cake look beautiful but the flavors were incredible too! Our guests raved about it! We will for sure be using Brooklyn Girl Bakery in the near future for other special occasions:)

Brooklyn Girl baked our cupcakes for our wedding and they were AWESOME! I'm particular about certain things and cupcakes were a "must" for me, no wedding cake for this bride! Peri sat down with us for our tasting and went through so many options with us and also gave suggestions, without being pushy at all! I had a vision of how I wanted the cupcakes displayed at our reception and through some email communication with Peri, she was able to bring my vision to life, exactly how we pictured it! The cupcakes were great! Everyone loved them--so good! We only had a few left over that I froze--can't wait to dig into them one of these days! Thanks SO MUCH Brooklyn Girl!

Perfect Wedding Cake!
My mom and I met Peri at a bridal show at our venue (La Massaria) and were immediately sold on her cake. Her baking skills are out of this world, which made it difficult for us to choose flavors as everything we tasted was exceptional. She worked with us to customize each layer a different flavor and filling - all of which were divine. Our guests are still raving about delicious the cake was. You can't go wrong with her, especially with her banana/cream cheese combo. Thrilled she is local to us and we look forward to using her for future (but smaller) events.

Best Chocolate Cake I have ever tasted
I highly recommend Brooklyn Girl Bakery and cannot say enough good things about Peri! She is super sweet and her chocolate cake was absolutely amazing. We met her at a bridal show at Valley Forge Casino Resort and after tasting her samples I knew she was the one I wanted to hire to bake our wedding cake. I gave her pictures of what I wanted and she asked all the questions necessary to make sure it was the cake of our dreams. I was blown away when I saw the cake at our reception and it tasted sensational. It is the softest and most delicious chocolate cake I ever tasted and it looked as beautiful as I imagined. Thank you Peri for the amazing cake we absolutely loved it!!

Peri met with us and drew up the cake, we tasted some flavors, and she told us it would be there when we got to the reception. Super simple, quick, and easy. The cake was DELICIOUS! Mother of the bride
My daughter, Kelly’s wedding was this past weekend, April 13, 2019. The cake was gorgeous, and with the added fresh flowers, it just put it over the top! When we had our tasting, we were blown away and couldn’t wait for the actual wedding day to see and taste it again! My new son in-law loves red velvet and said it was the best! My daughter’s favorite was the vanilla cake with raspberry filling as well as my husband and myself! Love love loved this cake and would recommend anyone to Brooklyn Girl Bakery. Best Wedding Cake!
Peri was so nice to work with and she makes THE BEST cakes. Our tasting was extremely difficult because every cake and icing combination was amazing - so amazing that our anniversary cake layer, is completely different than what we had on our wedding night because we wanted to have it all! Often, wedding cakes are regarded as pretty standard for a wedding guest but we had SO MANY compliments on how great the cake was and how much everyone loved it. We also had an ombre design that Peri pulled off flawlessly without using fondant! Couldn't say enough great things about working with Peri and Brooklyn Girl Bakery!

Yummy & Gorgeous Cake
Peri's Brooklyn Girl Bakery was the preferred bakery for our venue (Loft at Landis Creek) and she was awesome! Our cake tasting with her was easy because I could've easily eaten any of her cake/icing combos and been super happy. They were all delicious. She also drew out my vision as we were sitting with her and it was exactly what I wanted. I can't wait to eat our cake topper next year. Definitely would recommend her!

My fiancé did not like icing, so we decided to go with a naked cake and it turned out perfectly!! I just wish I could have gotten more than one slice during my reception! Peri baked us a cupcake tower and a top cake for our wedding this past September, and both were amazing! The quality of both her flavors and design were excellent, and our guests absolutely loved it! I don't think we had any cupcakes left over. Peri was super friendly and helpful during our first tasting, giving recommendations on which cake and filling combinations work best and gave great ideas on designs. We would definitely recommend her cakes and cupcakes for any occasion.

Peri from Brooklyn Girl Bakery designed and baked the most wonderful cake for my daughter's wedding on July 14, 2018. I have been to many weddings and have never had such an elegant and tasty cake. Peri accommodates all of your tastes. She made 3 different flavors of cakes with different icings and one was better than the next. She even made a separate topper to be frozen for the couple's first anniversary. Everyone at the wedding remarked at how delicious and beautiful the cake was. I can't wait for another occasion to have a cake from Brooklyn Girl. Peri is the best and you won't be disappointed.

Peri did such an amazing job with both our Wedding Cake and our Groom's Cake. Both were beautiful and both were delicious. She is super affordable and hands down the best cake we tasted. Our wedding coordinator told us that there wasn't a piece of cake left after the wedding - and apparently there's usually a ton left over! We had 3 flavors: carrot cake with cream cheese icing, banana cake with caramel filling, and chocolate chip cake with nutella buttercream. We couldn't narrow it down because they were all so delicious.

Peri and her cakes are amazing! Peri was a part of our wedding package through our venue, The Loft at Landis creek. She was so friendly and is able to pretty much do anything you ask for. I showed her a picture of the cake design I wanted and she said she could do it no problem! Her baking skills are excellent! We went with her classic vanilla cake with raspberry filling and a chocolate chip later with cream cheese filling. Both layers were soo good! Our cake was amazing! Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding cake they ever tasted. It was not only delicious, but beautiful as well! Exactly what we expected it to look like and Peri placed the cake topper and florals herself. It was a pleasure working with her, from email correspondence, to the tasting, to the actual day of. Peri is the BEST! We had the good fortune of having our cake included in our wedding package through our venue and were not disappointed! We met Peri at a bridal show and sampled her delicious ice-it-yourself cupcakes. Nutella.. need I say more.. but I will. For our tasting we sampled 5 cake flavors and 5 fillings of our choice. She offers so many delicious flavors that this in itself was a challenge. The good news is since we had a 3-tier cake, we were thrilled to learn that we could choose 3 different cake/filling/icing combinations! On the day of our wedding, the cake arrived well in advance and exceeded our expectations. Many of our guests commented our how stunning it was and once they tried it they couldn't believe something so beautiful could taste so amazing! I don't think I've ever had a more delicious cake, I really don't know how she does it. Thank you Peri, we couldn't be happier!!!

I had HIGH expectations when it came to our wedding cake. Most of the weddings I go to the cake is terrible. I LOVE cake and I was determined that our wedding cake would be delicious. Our cake completely blew our expectations away. Not only was it beautiful, it was the best wedding cake either of us have ever had. We had several guests come up and tell us the same thing! Wow! I am not a wedding cake lover - just putting it out there. For me I can't think of wasting calories on something that is dry and tasteless. So when it came to my wedding, I wanted a three tier cake, each tier with a different cake to give our guests variety. I called Brooklyn Girl Bakery and went for a tasting with my stepdaughter and her best friend. So two 14 year olds who are not going to lie and will give me the seal of approval. Perri, who is the owner/baker extraordinaire invited me to come to the shop for a tasting. I told her in advance the flavors I was looking for and boy did she deliver! I loved the carrot cake the most, because it was simply divine. So that was my first layer. It was moist and had texture without being overpowering or crunchy with extra nuts. The cream cheese filling was heavenly. The girls loved the chocolate chip cake with nutella cream filling. That became our second layer and the third layer was a red velvet with raspberry cream, so decadent and flavorful. The raspberry filling complimented the chocolate so nicely. All of the layers had a buttercream frosting that was thick and creamy without the granular sugary taste some buttercreams have. Perri listened to my description of what I wanted the cake to look like - Simple and elegant. So we went with a textured white buttercream with a wide tan ribbon and a very pale pink thin ribbon as an accent to the tan. Our florist added flowers to the top for the final touch. Perri also made a Marquis Au Chocolate cake for my husband as a groom's cake and he was over the moon excited to have his favorite cake there too!

Peri, the owner, made my dreams come true for my wedding. I was looking for a wintery "rustic" look and did she deliver! She listened to what I wanted, no fondant, not a lot of icing, but not completely naked. Our wedding venue, La Massaria at Bella Vista, includes the cake into their price and they have 2 bakers to choose from. Thank God Brooklyn Girl Bakery was an option or else I would not use the other baker!! The cake tastes phenomenal, and it looked so beautiful. We were able to have each tier a different flavor with filling, which I loved giving people a variety to choose from. She is MUST for a beautiful, tasty wedding cake!!!!!

While we did not get a chance to use Brooklyn Girl for our wedding, I wanted to make a note of how awesome Perry was to deal with. I met her at a bridal show and loved her cupcakes! The problem was that I live about an hour and a half from her bakery. Perry was very flexible and even offered to allow me to pick up the cupcakes for our wedding and assure me that everything would be fine. I will be using her in the future for sure!

We used Brooklyn Girl Bakery for our wedding on 10/16/16! Not only was the cake gorgeous, it was so delicious! The cake was EXACTLY what we discussed at our meeting! Our first layer was coconut with Nutella filling, second layer was vanilla with raspberry jam, and third was banana with peanut butter!! Our guests raved about the flavor of the cake and we received so many compliments on the overall look! We will certainly be using this vendor for future cakes!

When you are planning a wedding there are tons of meetings with vendors, our meeting with Peri was by far the most enjoyable! We had a hard time picking 3 cake flavors, everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. We went with banana bread, chocolate and red velvet- not traditional but our guests loved it! I am not a sweets person but her cakes are phenomenal. Our wedding cake was gorgeous and so tasty, I only wish I had more on the day off!

Our wedding cake from Brooklyn Girl Bakery was both beautiful and delicious! The texture and taste was the same high quality as the sample tasting. Peri really came through for us even though she had 3 other weddings on the same day. We will definitely use her services again in the future and strongly recommend!!

Brooklyn Cake Girl exceeded our expectations!: a pleasure to meet with for "tasting", we were immediately hooked on some unexpected enormously delicious combinations, Peri made the entire process enjoyable, had good suggestions; At the wedding (@Bally Spring Inn), the cake looked beautiful, and tasted even better than we imagined. So glad we kept the cake a bit "upsized" and have extra to take home....when we run out, we may be compelled to call the Brooklyn Girl to feed our new addiction to Almond cake with Caramel Icing! WOW!

My wedding cake was not only beautiful, but delicious as well. Peri took my vision and came up with something truly amazing! I had three tiers each with different flavors. The best flavor of all was the coconut cake with cream cheese icing. My guests are still talking about that cake! They would like Peri to make cakes for their events! She even set up my cake table. I absolutely recommend her for any event you can think of! Thanks again Brooklyn Girl Bakery!

My new hubby and I are already excited for our anniversary. Yeah yeah, a whole year being married. Great. What we're excited for is that we get to have our top tier!
I had a my venue (Brookside Country Club) reach out to Booklyn Girl Bakery on my behalf. Peri from Brooklyn Girl reached out to me via email shortly thereafter. She asked what I was looking for and I was very useless when I did a virtual shrug and said that I didn't know. It also didn't help that when my then-fiancee and I looked through the photo gallery, our favorites were just about as opposite as possible. She was never the less confident that she could create something that we both would love.
We decided on flavor combinations that we wanted to taste and set a date to meet. Peri was again very patient with us as we described what we maybe kinda sorta probably wanted. She drew up a quick sketch, incorporated a little symbol that we had on our invitations, and it was perfect.
Most importantly, it was delicious! I'm still trying to re-create her vanilla frosting. I know vanilla = boring. But- it actually tasted of vanilla (and I feel most vanilla frostings just taste like sugar). And it was creamy and soft and decadent but not oily. Perfect. Moreover, it complemented the vanilla, chocolate and peanutbutter cakes we tried very well. Rest assured the cakes are certainly flavorful (and delicious) enough to hold their own next to the glory that is Brooklyn Girl's vanilla frosting.

Peri at Brooklyn Girl Bakery was great to work with!! She brought us multiple samples to try for our wedding day. We ended up picking about 4 or 5 different cupcake flavors and two different cake flavors. Everything was so delicious and the guest at the wedding loved it all. The chocolate/peanut butter cupcakes were to die for. I'm super indecisive and she was fine to let me change a flavor super close to the wedding. We absolutely cannot wait to eat the top of our cake next November :) We would most definitely use Brooklyn Girl Bakery for any future needs!

We cannot thank Peri enough for sharing her talents with us on our big day! We opted for three different flavors & ordered our own cake topper- did any of that phase her? Absolutely not! Peri's tasting was hands on & relaxed, it made the process so memorable. She called the week of our wedding to confirm all details & we walked into the reception to a stunning (and tasty) cake. Thank you for being our dessert fairy godmother! We fully intend on using her for future big events in our life.

Yum-mazing! Peri is awesome. Enough said. My husband was deeply invested in dessert for our wedding and did the research that eventually led us to Peri. We showed up for our consultation with a picture of a cake she had created and worked with her to update it to make better sense for our wedding. We had 3 different flavors on our 4-tier cake and all tasted incredible. Our wedding was at the Elmwood Park Zoo and Peri made red panda bride/groom cake toppers out of fondet to match the new red panda exhibit. They were adorable! Everyone loved the cake - the way it looked and tasted. There might even be more photos posted by guests on facebook of the cake than of my husband and I. Go with Brooklyn Girl Bakery and you'll be super happy!

Peri Anderson was absolutely amazing to work with and our wedding cake was phenomenal!! Many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding cake they have ever had, and we would definitely agree! Taste testing with Peri was so much fun, there were so many flavors to choose from and all were so great, it was hard to chose! Delightful Experience and Delicious Wedding Cake!
I had a wonderful experience working with Peri to design my wedding cake for my July 4 wedding at the Radisson Casino Resort in Valley Forge, PA. She was such a pleasure to work with, and offered a variety of delicious cake and icing flavors and styles according to our budget and vision. The three tier cake turned out gorgeous and everyone was raging about how delicious it was. I highly recommend Brooklyn Girl Bakery!

Peri Anderson of Brooklyn Girl was recommended to us by a friend and her services and final product were spectacular! She was very accessible and responsive. The cake tasting session was a really fun experience, and Peri was extremely flexible and offered many suggestions to fit our budget and "feel" of the wedding. The cake and cupcake "tower" was just beautiful and perfectly suited the venue setting and the wedding--not to mention how delicious they all were. They really were a major WOW amongst all the guests. We had a wide selection of cakes and fillings to choose from and they all were incredibly moist and yummy. The cake delivery was smooth and seemless. We didn't need to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend Brooklyn Girl Bakery and Peri Anderson.

My wedding isn't until October, but we had our tasting with Peri and it couldn't have been better!! I am a "mature", bride and not looking for all of the big wedding trappings, but the cake is central for us. We met with Peri on a Tuesday evening after work (points for accommodating our schedule). We chose some flavors a few days prior to our meeting that we were interested in trying. We were nervous and had no idea what to expect. Turns out, we had so much fun! She had everything set up and paired with fillings ready to go when we arrived. The cake and fillings were wonderfully delicious! Peri was knowledgeable, creative and put us right at ease. I'm so excited to see the beautiful cake she designed for us!

I had the pleasure of working with Peri, the Owner of Brooklyn Girl Bakery, to create our wedding cake. The cake exceeded our expectations and we received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. Not only was it beautifully designed, but the taste wasn't sacrificed at all! We received quite a few comments from guests about how it was the best cake they have ever tasted! Peri was super easy to work with - she is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and creative in her work. Peri was recommended to us by our venue, The Loft at Limerick and did an extraordinary job helping us design our wedding cake. The tasting was such a fun experience and she really listened to our vision so the cake would fit our country, rustic theme. The day of our wedding the cake not only looked beautiful, but tasted even better than we remembered! Our guests loved it!
