Professional and Skillful
Rena and her team did an amazing job on hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, my mom, and myself.
We loved our soft waves and half updos and my bridesmaids had the perfect soft glam makeup.
She did an especially fantastic job on my mother's traditional Japanese updo to match her kimono.
Her and her team were very professional and made us feel so stress-free and well-taken care of on the day of the wedding. Would highly recommend! -

Beautiful hair & makeup!
I couldn’t be happier with my hair and makeup! Rena was professional, kind, and really listened to what I wanted. My makeup looked flawless, photographed beautifully, and lasted all day and night. I received so many compliments and many guests asked who my hair & makeup artist was. So fortunate that I went to Rena! -

During the trial, she took the time to listen to my ideas and offered valuable suggestions, ensuring that the final look would complement my dress and overall theme perfectly. Her attention to detail was evident throughout the process, and I felt completely at ease knowing I was in capable hands.
On the wedding day, Rena exceeded my expectations. She executed the chosen style flawlessly, and it held up beautifully throughout the day. Even with the inevitable nerves, I felt like a true princess, all thanks to her skill and expertise.

Amazing hair and makeup!
Rena did an amazing job on my hair and makeup trial! Super excited to have her do my wedding hair and makeup. I'm very particular about my makeup as I do it myself most days but she listened to what I wanted and recreated it perfectly. I wore it around all day and it looked great even through very windy conditions. Her personality is so kind and stress relieving as well. -

Rena is absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. She understood my preference of wanting to look done up, but also natural and like myself, and she fully delivered! I was so pleased with my engagement photos (which I scheduled right after my makeup trial) and knew that I was in great hands for my wedding day.
Rena is extremely responsive and accommodating as I worked out the details leading up to my wedding day. I stopped by her studio in Torrance a few weeks before my wedding to purchase a beautiful floral hair clip (which was the ONLY one that perfectly matched my vision after searching for several countless nights). During that visit, she also worked with me on color matching hair extensions to my hair color to better prepare for the big day.
On my wedding day, Rena and her team were top-notch! They were punctual and fully prepared, even with our hotel's crazy parking restrictions. Three of my bridesmaids got their makeup done and all 6 BM + MOH got their hair done, and Rena & her team got everyone looking amazing with time to spare! Talk about a stress-free way to start off your wedding day, right? My friends have had prior experiences as BMs in other weddings and they were extremely impressed with Rena and her team's ability to work so efficiently yet do such a beautiful job on everyone's hair & makeup.
Overall, Rena did a wonderful job of ensuring that she fulfilled all my hair & makeup needs for my wedding, and I would recommend her and her team to anyone with no hesitation! Not only will you look and feel beautiful as the bride, your bridal party will too! -

Rena was so incredibly easy to work with and really responsive and understanding of our several date & time changes due to the pandemic. Unlike one of our other vendor (which I won't mention here). Her team was easy to communicate with and incredibly punctual!

I LOVED my experience with BCW. They made it incredibly easy to schedule my trial run, and then complete the necessary contract to hire them for my wedding. Lily and her team arrived fashionably early on my wedding day to get set up - which put my mind at ease! My hair and makeup were absolutely gorgeous and I received so many compliments! We had fun chatting and getting ready together. Highly recommend! -

Rena did my hair and makeup for myself for my wedding as well as my matron of honor. She is super flexible and was able to work with me in the middle of the pandemic. All of was super safe and well. She showed up on time at my hotel with a mask and face shield on at the crack of dawn. Wedding photos were amazing. I got so many compliments on my makeup. I found Bright Crystal through many positive yelp reviews. Rena is the owner of Bright Crystal. She is kind, professional, and talented. -

I had a great experience with bright crystal! They were super professional and on time. They were very flexible in adding more people last minute who wanted to get their hair and makeup done. They also had time to touch up everyone’s hair and makeup before we left to take pictures! Highly recommend them :) -

It was a pleasure working with Yuko for my wedding day hair and makeup. Reina, the owner, did my hair and makeup for my engagement photoshoot. When I had a hard time choosing between a half-up/half-down vs. a low bun up-do, Yuko did both hair styles during our trial session and we were able to figure out that an up-do was better. Yuko and Reina would always double check with me if I wanted to add more color/ darken the color of any eyeshadow, blush, or eyeliner I had one to make sure we have achieved the look I wanted.
On my wedding day, I had a hair accessory to incorporate for my mom, MIL, and myelf, which Yuko was able to help do so. The whole process was smooth and my makeup stayed on all night without creasing or patches. Love my wedding look. -

Rena and the Bright Crystal Wedding team were amazing! My first hair trial did not go as well as I hoped, but it was because I did not pay close enough attention to the photo that I brought for reference, and I needed more hair (thank you clip in extensions!). I scheduled a second trail with a new photo and the extensions and my hair turned out even better than I could have hoped for. On the wedding day they were on time and every ones hair stayed perfect all day! -

Yuko from Bright Crystal Wedding did an amazing job. She was punctual, professional, accommodating, and very nice. She came to my house and worked on my daughter, my mom, and I. It took several hours, in the end she achieved our desired look. She helped me feel beautiful. -

Leizel Sent on 10/06/2016The ladies at Bright Crystal Wedding are amazing! I was looking for hair and makeup for my wedding, my friend used them for her wedding in 2013 and recommended them. I emailed and got a response pretty quickly from Rena. Unfortunately she was unavailable the day of my wedding but her Senior Artist, Yuko, was. Before having a trial with Yuko, I reserved my wedding day ASAP!
I also needed hair and makeup for my engagement pictures, Yuko wasn't available but Rena was. She did a great job and was really friendly during the session. I loved my makeup and it didn't feel heavy on my face at all. My hair is bad with curls staying so Rena pinned them and told me an hour before my photo session to unpin it so it can set. The curls stayed on the whole time! Part of our photos were taken on the beach, I was worried the salt water in the air would mess it up but it didn't
Hair trial appointment with Yuko went really well. She followed the pictures I showed her perfectly. However, it wasn't until later my fiance mentioned that the eye makeup was a little dark, I thought it was a little bit too. When it came to the wedding day, I told Yuko to lighten my eye makeup, no problem!
The day of my wedding, we were running a little late to the venue. Yuko and Kumiko were there and ready to go! I felt really bad but they were in great spirits the whole time. I have to give it to these ladies, they were on their feet non-stop! I offered them water and food but they were ok too. My bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup. My mom and grandmother also got their hair and makeup done and it was beautiful and age appropriate. I loved how they looked. Everyone looked so beautiful and I loved how everything turned out.
I would love to use them on future events, they are the best!

Rena and her team are both laser focused on the specific needs and requests of each client as well as extremely flexible with customization and riffing off of ideas that you may have for the overall look/feel/vibe of your bridal party. I had her and her team not only do hair and makeup for my entire bridal party, but also my mother, my then fiancé, and all of his groomsmen (light color correction/anti-shine, light grooming etc.). Everyone looked fresh-faced and camera ready when Rena's team was done with them. They are true artists and professionals.
