We rented two farm tables, a cigar table with two leather chairs and a side table, plus a lounge setup with a couch, chair, coffee table (complete with candles), and a rug. We also added a large mirror at the last minute for our seating chart backdrop — and everything came together perfectly. The overall vibe was exactly what we wanted: elegant, cozy, and inviting. The cigar area was a huge hit and gave guests a comfortable space to relax near the dance floor. Bride and Joy was professional, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Delivery and pickup were seamless, and the pieces completely elevated our reception space. Highly recommend! -

I was lucky enough to win one of Bride and Joy’s Instagram giveaways (highly recommend entering those!). I had been hoping to incorporate some rentals into my wedding day, and this was the perfect push I needed!
From the start, Jess was so kind and helpful, she clearly explained how everything worked, showed me what was available, and even helped find similar options for anything that wasn’t. The quality of the items on the day was amazing! Everyone absolutely loved the lounge set and the cigar bar. They were total standouts and added such a special touch.
Everything came together beautifully, and I can’t thank Jess and her team enough for their help and support throughout the process. I highly recommend working with Bride and Joy for your big day! -

First and foremost, no matter how organized you are and how helpful/talented your family and friends are, YES, you need a wedding coordinator. When our daughter decided to have an outdoor wedding and reception at our home, I knew we needed an event coordinator so that everyone could enjoy the day. Via a referral from another vendor, I reached out to Jes Frank of Bride and Joy. After our conversation, I knew she was the lady for me! Jes is kind, easy to work with, networked in the wedding industry and can make other referrals and suggestions to get the process started.
Jes will keep your vendors organized, she will come to rehearsal to walk everyone through the ceremony and she will be there on the wedding day to make it flow seamlessly. You will discover later that she took care of things that you never even knew happened...as it should be. Jes and her assistant Emi were busy behind the scenes making the day and evening unfold. I never worried about anything-Jes and Emi kept it running on course. I recommend scheduling a phone consultation with Jes and letting her help you-it will ease your mind and allow you to enjoy your big event. -

I don’t even know where to begin because Bride & Joy—Jes, Emi, Ray, Lindsey, Meli, Morie, and literally EVERYONE—was above and beyond amazing. Our family is a lot (like, truly a lot), but Emi and team knew exactly how to handle it all with grace, humor, and this calm confidence that kept us grounded.
The whole team made us feel so taken care of—not just in the “everything ran perfectly” way (which it did), but in a warm, human, "we got you kind of way". They truly showed up for us in every possible way.
If I could get married every weekend just to work with them again, I would. No hesitation. Bride & Joy squad- you’re forever in our hearts. THANK YOU for making our day magic—we’ll never forget it.

Hiring Jes and Mel at Bride and Joy for bartending and decoration rentals was the best decision we could have made! If I had met Jes sooner, I would have hired her to coordinate the whole wedding! Jes was an absolute gem from the moment I met her when visiting her warehouse to see the rentals in person. Her sweet and helpful vibe is genuine and you can tell she truly cares about the people she is working with. You can trust that by booking with Bride and Joy you will be in the best hands!
Even as my bartender, Jes went above and beyond, helping bustle my dress and making sure I was always taken care of.
Jes and Mel took care of everything flawlessly: setting up decorations, unloading, and loading everything back up afterward. My guests couldn’t stop raving about Jes and Mel—they were so sweet, attentive, and made sure everyone was taken care of. They were by far my husband and my favorite vendor ❤️❤️❤️
I can’t recommend Bride and Joy enough for coordination services, bartending, and rentals. Within all the stress of a wedding I felt like anytime I was chatting with them or they were checking on me they brought me peace. -

Loved working with Bride and Joy! We hired them for Bartending Services and Rentals. Jes was so wonderful and easy to work with. We had such a nice time visiting the showroom to look at all of the decor items. Jes was so so helpful throughout the planning process, she answered all of my questions and shared her recommendations for what would work best for our venue. The Bride and Joy team was so great, they really helped our vision come to life!
Also, bartending services were AMAZING! Bride and Joy made everything so easy and seamless! Shout out to Mel, she was the best! We loved our personalized cocktail tasting which helped us choose our unique signature cocktails, they were so delicious! Our guests loved them everything!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
Working with Jes is easily one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding. Bride & Joy coordination has different options of involvement, and as my husband and I wanted to do most of the planning ourselves, Jes's month-out coordination was just perfect. The last month of wedding planning is extremely hectic and challenging -- there are so many tiny details that need attention -- and it can be really overwhelming. THANKFULLY we had Jes! We may have had a lot to do, but her help and focus allowed us to relax more rather than be stressed with it all. Jes was super involved and helpful the week of the wedding too; we had questions for her almost every day, and she kept us excited and calm through it all.
On the wedding day itself, Jes was a superstar. I mean, really, I don't know how she did it all. She kept us on schedule without any kind of stress or time pressure, she worked tirelessly with the other vendors to make sure everything was near perfect, and she had the bubbliest demeanor all day long -- relieving us, our wedding party, and our families of any nerves. My mom still talks about how amazing Jes was, and I couldn't agree more. Plus, her rentals were absolutely GORGEOUS and really brought our wedding + reception to a new level of beautiful. Our guests loved the couches especially :)

If you need a wedding planner, you've found the perfect team! Jes was AMAZING throughout our whole wedding planning process. Then on our day of, Jes and her assistant made it so our day was absolutely perfect. There was absolutely no stress and being a DIY bride, Jes made sure my vision came to life! She was right by my side whenever I needed her even before I knew I needed something! The owner was so sweet! My daughter dealt with her mostly. My husband and I had to return everything the day after and she was so sweet to give us access to the building since they were not there but it really helped us since we are 45 minutes away! I love businesses and people that are so trustworthy. Her shop is adorable and has anything you could possibly need and more!!! Highly recommended!! -

Jes was wonderful to work with from start to finish! My wedding reception was just couches and coffee tables - the staff who delivered the couches set them up according to the floor plan alongside other couches I had purchased and were wonderful to work with. The couches were beautiful and comfortable, and Jes helped walk me through creating a collection that looked cohesive with my overall vision! -

Perfect special touches for our wedding!!!
Bride & Joy did an incredible job for our wedding! We needed an arbor for our ceremony and ended up being able to rent a gorgeous wooden arbor, just as we hoped. We then got lost in Bride & Joy's fun selection of different decorations and added on several lawn games, which were a huge hit, some beautiful table runners, and an easel for our wedding sign to our order. All of Bride & Joy's rentals were stylish and in great shape. Working with the owner, Jes, was a breeze — she was lovely and very communicative and amenable to all of our requests throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend any couple to work with Bride & Joy for their wedding!!! -

Bride and Joy, Jes and her team are incredible, and that's an understatement. Their wedding planning skills, patience, kindness, disposition and attention to detail were beyond comforting to this hot mess of a mama. Their attentiveness throughout the wedding day was beyond description. Jes and her staff went beyond any expectation to make not only Michaela and Peter feel incredibly special on their day, but Jes' attentiveness to the father and the mother of the bride left us speechless, and that’s a difficult task. The bar service as well as David and Oscar were phenomenal in every way possible. For David to recognize that I only made one trip to the bar was remarkable as he said he was looking forward to making me more of my favorite drinks (French 75! And he killed it). I am so thankful for your kindness throughout this whole process. If anyone uses another planning service, they will surly miss out on an exception experience. Thank you! -

We hired Bride and Joy for my daughter's May 2022 wedding...it was the best decision ever. While we only booked Jes for "day of" services that does not do justice to what she provides. From the moment we signed the contract until after my daughter and new son-in-law got in the car and drove away she was an absolute blessing. I never turned to her with an issue that she didn't almost immediately get back to me. She is a consummate professional who helped us navigate the first wedding for our family with style and grace. We even received a 10% discount from one of our vendors when they found out Jes was our coordinator because they love working with her! And her assistant Lynsey handled a last minute bridal hair fiasco and an almost bridal meltdown with such poise, Lynsey for the win! These two women ran that wedding like maestros and I never had to do a thing except enjoy myself. I have two more daughters and can only hope Jes will still be doing this so we can work together again. Two weeks after the wedding Jes is still emailing to follow up on some personal things that happened to our family immediately preceding the wedding and it says everything about who she is. -

When I started planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to rent my decor rather than buy items that would likely end up in the trash. I made a list of all the decor I wanted, and after scrolling through inventory on what felt like hundreds of rental sites, I finally found Bride & Joy. They had every single decor item I wanted, plus they provide delivery, setup/breakdown, and calligraphy services. Jes was so easy to work with and had lots of great ideas for table settings and how to arrange the ceremony and reception decor around the venue. Everything turned out beautiful thanks to Jes and her team! Their delivery and setup services relieved me of so much stress on my wedding day, I would highly recommend renting with Bride and Joy! -

We hired Bride & Joy for every service that they had to offer. This included Design & Styling, Event Styling & Coordination, Florals, Bartending, Decor & Table Setting and Calligraphy. Jes was absolutely unbelievable and made our wedding everything that we had imagined. She communicated with our vendors and made sure everyone was on schedule. She decorated the venue beautifully!! Everyone loved the bartenders Oscar & Mini. They were so amazing and did a wonderful job with our signature cocktails! We cannot thank Jes enough for everything that she did for us. Jes with Bride & Joy was an absolute dream to work with! I am a DIY bride and put all of the details together but really needed a team to execute the vision and Jes' team did just that. I reached out and showed her what I had purchased and the direction I wanted to go and she quickly jumped in and gave suggestions to tie the entire look together including a table runner and chargers. Her advise and professionalism did not disappoint and our decor turned out more beautiful than I could have hoped for. I would recommend her team to anyone who needs help with design and also planning. Though they did not plan our wedding, I would trust them to do so based on the work they produced in designing. Great rate on rentals - very responsive and kind team. Recommend 3 day rental w/ self-pickup if at all possible vs. delivery (delivery was a little expensive but that's par for the course in the area and our location was pretty far away). All rentals were A+ w/ the exception of the giant connect 4 which was wobbly and required a ledge for stabilization. Everyone at our shower had A BLAST playing with the other rentals though and I really appreciated their flexibility, communication, and pricing. Way less than other options in the DMV. Would recommend to others for sure!! -

Jes and her team saved my life and wedding when we had to make the difficult decision to uproot our original wedding plan and downsize. When I first got on the phone with Jes the plan was just going to be renting some items from Bride and Joy. After speaking with her for 20 minutes I knew that I not only wanted her for her coordination services but NEEDED her. Up to the wedding day Jes and team helped design and make my wedding layout perfect. She helped manage and arrange the vendors and took all of my stress away.
My wedding day was absolutely perfect and I attribute it to Jes and her team for making it run as smooth as it did. All of Bride and Joy’s rentals were absolutely stunning and having them set up and clean up was well worth it.
If you are questioning if you need an event coordinator… you do. I didn’t realize until the wedding day all of the little details Jes took care of that I didn’t even think of. Jes is a dream to work with and worth every single penny. I am so thankful that I found her and she made my day so special. -

I was one of those brides that was hesitant about renting stuff for the wedding because of costs, but it was one of the best decisions I made for my big day! Jes was amazing to work with. She’s so sweet and was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, even when we had to make last minute changes. The items she has for rent are gorgeous and will create the Pinterest wedding of your dreams. Also, huge plus, you won’t have wedding stuff sitting around your house afterwards. We also used her bartending services and I got a lot of good feedback from guests that the bartender was attentive and friendly. Seriously, I could not thank Jes enough for everything she did to help me create the wedding of my dreams. 150% recommend booking with her. -

Choosing Bride and Joy to both supply rentals for my wedding, as well as coordinate was one of the best decision’s I’ve ever made! The rentals were beautiful and reasonably priced and Jes was extremely accommodating and just downright awesome. She was always both responsive and kind when it came to discussing meeting times, what to rent and what rentals needed to taken off and so on.. because YOU WILL change your mind about what and how much you need and it was nice having someone who was patient and totally helpful when it was all being figured out. Amazing experience!
I cannot say enough good things about Jes Frank at Bride and Joy! Throughout the whole wedding process I was most stressed about decor- purchasing everything is pricey and then you’re stuck with it! This is NOT the case with Bride and Joy! I stumbled upon them a few months before our wedding and Jes informed me I could rent just about anything and that they would deliver and pickup! My husband and I set up a date and went into the store and met with Jes and went over everything. Jes is so sweet- and it was such a great experience. All rentals are so affordable and everything is GORGEOUS! Renting our decor was so easy and it is so convenient that you can pay a small fee and have everything delivered to the venue and picked up as well! Thank you so much Jes- you are a lifesaver and I don’t know what we would have done without you! :) -

Jes was a joy to work with. We used her services throwing my in-laws a 50th anniversary party. I loved being able to rent beautiful items and she was accomadating and a wealth of knowledge. She was upbeat, helpful, and we would work with her again in a heartbeat to make any event gorgeous and less stressful! -

Disappointed
I thought a lot about whether or not I should post this review due to the fact my husband once knew the owner, Jess, and one of the workers. I also absolutely hate to post bad reviews, especially regarding a small business. After discussing with my husband, we decided to post it to potentially save other brides/grooms from some potential trouble. Jess had bought the business from the previous owner, we are unsure if that included much of the furniture and decor on her website, as well. We did not use Jess as a wedding planner, so we cannot attest to that.
We rented furniture from the website for our wedding. We did not see them in person, only behind the window of her storefront in May of last year, and from the pictures online. We were very excited about the items to match our theme. The pictures online were gorgeous.
The day of picking up the furniture, my friend and my mom's bf came with me to load up the furniture. We walked in for the first time to Jess’ showroom and it was beautiful, but when looking closer at many of the items that I had rented or even considered renting, I realized that many were damaged. Even the employee and my guests stated that the items looked rough. One item in particular, the connect four game looked like it was going to fall apart at any moment. The employee said that my husband should bring his toolbox and just fix it if it falls apart. I did not realize to what extent he knew my husband at the time - they went to highschool together. I considered this comment incredibly inappropriate, considering it was our wedding day and that this rickety item is the last thing my husband should be concerned with. We loaded the truck, and drove back home to load up the rest of the truck. When we got home, I was able to more closely look at the items to realize that there were pieces hanging off of the bottoms, the chairs were wobbly, the yellow chairs looked like they had been glued back together on the top, and so much more. The blue chairs in particular were DESTROYED. One blue chair had a burn mark on the seat, and both collectibly had what looked like cat scratches all over, as well as pilling. This was not mentioned in the description on the website. I do not know if the owner just does not check her items regularly enough to review the item quality or not. I do know, however, that she does not live in Culpeper, but I cannot imagine how difficult it would be running a business in a different city.
She messaged me hours later and asked how it all went and I told her I wished I had known how poor the quality of the items were before we rented them, because there is a difference between vintage and destroyed. My husband and I were upset for not only the quality of the items but the comments made. When I told the owner about the comments, as well, she then said her employee would never say that to me, basically accusing me of lying. Mind you, this is the afternoon before my wedding, where I am already stressed enough as it is. A few minutes later, she messaged me back and told me she reached out to the employee and he had told her what he said was meant to be a joke because he knew my husband in highschool. And while we understand that, highschool was a long time ago and the comments were not quite appropriate given the situation. Jess then asked what she could do to make it better, which we appreciated, but she did not apologize for basically accusing me of lying or for the poor quality of her items. She also didn’t mention if she would get rid of the items for future weddings, but I hope she did. I did not use half of the items we rented in the wedding, the pink chairs - which we did use- were covered by blankets most of the time. This was due to the fact I did not want to look back at my wedding pictures and see the poor quality in fine detail. My older guests who sat on those chairs, actually made jokes about how I could have found all these items on the side of the road or near dumpsters due to the quality and shakiness of the chairs. They were actually afraid to sit on them but chose to laugh about it. And those ones I considered the most okay/fine of the group.
Jess was kind enough to refund me for the blue chairs.
All in all, going forward, I would suggest looking at the items in person before you even consider using them. Maybe even go thrift store shopping/DIY or go dumpster diving.
