My wife and I got married at Grove on March 14th, 2026, and we cannot emphasize any more how perfect the evening was. We sat down for a long time trying to envision our perfect wedding, and became selective when it came to venues. When we came across Grove, it checked all of the boxes prior to the wedding, and still managed to exceed our expectations.
This venue is perfect for any intimate vibe. We wanted to have it be a romantic setting with lots of candles, and the glow of the room was immaculate. It was awesome overhearing guests reflect the same awe of the space, and many directly came up to us and said how amazing this space looked. My wife and I spent a lot of time making the decorations, but what truly made everything pop was the space itself. You could have zero decorations and guests would still feel the intimate feeling that Grove naturally emits. And for the decorations we provided, the staff arranged them in a perfect, seamless way.
Julia D'Agostino was our wedding coordinator. We met her during the food tasting (unreal by the way) and we were instantly drawn to her. When we found out she would be the coordinator, we knew we were in good hands. Julia worked around the clock to ensure we had the most perfect day possible. She was always available to reach via email and gave us gentle reminders to ensure our day was perfect. She was cheerful during the entire process, and handled our most stressful moments with a great sense of calm We had a few anxious moments leading up to and during the evening, and Julia stepped right in to help without even asking, and we greatly appreciated that.
The food was an incredible highlight as well. Guests literally interrupted my wife and I to compliment how awesome the food was AND how they felt fully fed. The classic chocolate chip cookies and the espresso martini tower were absolute crowd pleasers!
I also cannot recommend enough staying at the Briar Barn Inn, which is a 10 second walk away from the venue. I had well-traveled people say that the rooms there were the best they have ever been to, and I could not agree more.
One final point that wraps up everything wonderfully: My grandmother is 85 years old and after the wedding she sent us a letter stating that our wedding was the most intimate, personal wedding she has ever been to. Reading this meant the world to me, and I know for a fact that a major reason why she felt this way was because of the look of the space, the kindness of the staff, and the magic that this venue exudes.
We are so grateful we chose Grove, and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a venue that feels beautiful, personal, intimate, and truly special. -

Having our wedding at Grove at Briar Barn Inn was everything we could've dreamed of and more! Jeannine our wedding planner provided by the venue was absolutely incredible. She answered every last minute email and made everything happen that we asked for. She helped set up floral arrangements, took care of an extra surprise guest, had drinks (and a mocktail for me) waiting for us after the ceremony, and sent us to our room that night with cookies leftover from dessert. She and the whole staff made the night so wonderful. We still have guests raving about the food months later and telling us what a beautiful venue it was. 10/10 would recommend!!! -

We got married at Grove in April 2025 and had an incredible experience. It was the first venue we toured and after looking at many other venues, we ended up coming back to Grove and are so happy we did. We had 100 guests and it felt like the perfect size venue - intimate without feeling over crowded. The dance floor was the perfect size to make it feel packed all night and the cocktail hour room provided an alternative space for those who wanted to chat. Being able to stay onsite made our wedding weekend much more relaxed and the suite was beautiful with the most comfortable bed ever. Julia, our coordinator, was super helpful, attentive and had a calm, easy going presence from the first time we met with her. The entire team at Grove and Briar Barn Inn were extremely responsive to our questions throughout the process. We were so happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend Briar Barn and Grove! -

Our wedding at Grove was an absolute dream! The intimate setting was exactly what we envisioned, creating the perfect atmosphere for our special day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the food tasted—it just kept coming!
A huge shoutout to our coordinator, Jeannine, who was simply amazing. Every time she checked in to see if I needed anything, my answer was always “no” because the team had already taken care of everything before I even had to ask. The attention to detail was impeccable, and they handled all of our personal decor elements with such care.
It was truly the best day—better than we could have ever imagined. If you’re looking for a venue that offers a seamless experience, outstanding service, and a warm, intimate atmosphere, Grove is the place to be. We couldn’t be happier with our choice! -

My wife and I got married in the cold month of January- and the Grove/ Briar Barn Inn made it perfect! We had been working with them for a year and a half leading up to the wedding, and always felt supported and reassured. Everything went so well, in part because they were incredibly helpful and flexible with setup and coordination. When inevitable small problems presented themselves at the last second, they were on it. They responded promptly to every worry or random question we had, no matter how ridiculous. Julia is a phenomenal coordinator (and person) who reduced all of our nerves and anxiety leading up to the perfect ceremony! Our guests, coming from all over the country in Massachusetts's roughest season, had nothing but great things to say about the food, lodging, and overall experience. If it is within your means, and you are someone who struggles with event planning and wants to have everything handled in one place, this venue is perfect for that. We really got to focus on ourselves, picking and choosing what traditions to keep and what to change. The Grove/Inn, being extremely kind and organized supported us in all of that and made the whole process significantly easier.
I also want to flag for other Queer couples that we felt very accepted and safe here. The venue never waivered in their mission to give us the best day of our lives, in the way that felt comfortable for us and inclusive of gender diversity. -

The Grove at Briar Barn is a beautiful venue - convenient to Boston and a great reason for your guests to explore the North Shore. They have the wedding process down to a science and were helpful with recommendations for vendors and all my questions about day-of details. We booked the whole inn for the night of and 10 rooms for the night before, which made for a relaxing and fun weekend experience. No stress about getting from one place to another, and guests could roll out of bed the next morning for brunch (also at the inn). The rooms are wonderful - my friends want to go back for a girls spa weekend.
Our coordinator Julia was so friendly, attentive, and responsive leading up to the weekend. All my micromanaging tendencies went away when working with her - leave it to the pros and enjoy your day!
P.S. I may not have ever had a better chocolate chip cookie than the ones at the Grove, not exaggerating. -

We recently held our wedding at Briar Barn Inn. The entire experience was exceptional, and we’re so grateful to the team, especially our coordinator Jeannine and the servers & bartenders, who ensured everything was flawless.
Briar Barn Inn provided the perfect accommodations for us our guests, with its charming and comfortable atmosphere. The Grove, where our ceremony and reception took place, was absolutely stunning. The space was beautifully set up, and it created just the right ambiance for our special day.
Jeannine was incredible to work with from the planning stages through the day of the wedding. Her organization, attention to detail, and responsiveness made the entire process stress-free. On the day of the wedding, she kept everything running smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy each moment, and ensure that I (the bride) was happy and well fed.
While on the topic of being well fed, we also have to mention how amazing the food and cocktails are at The Grove. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the delicious menu and the creative, perfectly crafted drinks. The culinary experience truly added to the magic of the day.
We highly recommend Briar Barn Inn, The Grove, and Jeannine to anyone looking for a stunning venue with fantastic service. Thank you for making our wedding day unforgettable!

Planning and having our June 7th wedding at Grove was a joy from start to finish. Everything was superb, from the accommodations at Briar Barn to the top-tier food (so many of our guests said it was the best filet they’ve had!). But, far and away the best thing about the place was the people. Grove was last on our list of venues to visit and we knew we wanted to have our wedding there 5 minutes into our tour with Ali. Ali was warm, knowledgeable, and easily painted a picture of what our wedding day could look like on site at Grove and Brian Barn. She made checking off our monthly planning to-do’s a breeze and answered every question we had within a few hours of emailing - even questions about vendors and my dress which she did not have to help with but did so graciously. Once we got closer to the wedding, we began working with Julia as our day-of coordinator and were delighted and relieved after our first meeting that she had absolutely everything under control leading up to the day. Julia made it easy to make our final selections and plans, and when we arrived on site the day before the wedding she was there to greet us and immediately helped work out a few last minute logistics. We arranged our own flowers the day before the wedding, and Julia jumped right in to help arrange some leftover flowers into stunning side table flourishes. We truly did not have to worry about a single thing on the day of our wedding thanks to Julia - she was one step ahead of us at all times but never rushed or tense. Her calm, kind demeanor was invaluable. I don’t think we would have eaten a bite of the appetizers if she hadn’t thought to prepare the wedding party our own little platter to enjoy off to the side before joining our guests at happy hour. I didn’t know how vital a great coordinator would be, but I genuinely wish every couple could have a Julia by their side through their wedding day! I could go on for pages, but if you’re looking for a venue with staff who will support your every need through every step, Grove is your venue! -

I cannot put into words how much we loved our wedding with Grove at Briar Barn Inn. We were so impressed with EVERYTHING the venue and inn had to offer throughout our entire planning and wedding day experience.
We got married on 12.31.23 - New Year's Eve! Both Grove and Briar Barn Inn were beautifully decorated for the holidays - our guests described it as magical and like a Hallmark Movie! I highly recommend booking out the entire inn (if your guest count allows for this), because it was so convenient to have every room filled with our favorite people. Our guests loved and appreciated the convenience of staying onsite. The rooms were so nice, too. Overall, the venue fulfilled my dream of a charming, elegant, cozy, barn wedding.
Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and drinks after our wedding. The bartenders brought our specialty cocktails to life and the dinner selections were unreal. 11/10!
Alyssa Tamlyn-Hayden (our assigned wedding coordinator) was so great! She was so incredibly helpful, answering all of our questions promptly and being the most helpful human ever on the actual wedding day. She was quick with guidance and recommendations. We felt so well taken care of on our special day. Thank you, Alyssa!!

We held our wedding at the Grove this past fall. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The team there was extremely helpful in the planning and coordinating, and our assigned coordinator Julia was especially great.
The venue is gorgeous, inside and out. The food and drinks are all delicious. We also stayed at the Briar Barn Inn, which was a very comfortable and fun experience.
Overall I would definitely recommend the Grove and Briar Barn Inn if it fits your aesthetic and pricing -

A fairytale venue 12/2/23
There is not one thing that I would have changed about having my wedding at The Grove! It was everything I imagined, and more! Where do I even start? The ambiance is absolutely breathtaking, it was so warm, inviting, and cozy! I knew from the start I wanted to have a barn wedding, but after looking at a few different venues nothing caught my eye. Well, all that was just meant to be because the second I saw The Grove I immediately knew that that was where I wanted to get married! It is stunning, charming, and intimate to say the least! We went for a tour, and after seeing the venue, the grounds, and the inn I was in awe! The booking process was very straight forward, and every staff member that we have met along the way has been so friendly and helpful! And I can’t forget to mention the absolute life saver that they provided us with, Planning Pod! We were able to make payments, create our floor plan, put in our guests’ meal choices, and so much more! The process really couldn’t have been any simpler! We decided to get married in December, which meant that The Grove and the grounds were beautifully decorated for Christmas! The garlands, the wreaths, and the thousands of lights just completely sealed the deal! It was an absolute fairytale! Julia was our assigned event coordinator and she was the sweetest! On our first meeting, she put my mind completely at ease and already had everything under control with the schedule of events and locations of where everyone needed to be at what time on the day of the wedding. She had no problems with any of our menu customizations or requests, and pretty much answered all of my questions before I could even ask them! She went above and beyond on the wedding day with making sure that we both had enough to eat and drink, that we had a piece of each flavor of our wedding cake to try, and even boxed up our food that we didn’t finish so we could enjoy it later! Speaking of food, it was delicious!! When I tell you that our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was, and all of the hors d'oeuvres that just kept coming out, no one went hungry that night! As another plus, it is so convenient to have Briar Barn Inn only steps away from The Grove, not only for us but also for our guests if they chose to stay since we live 2 hours away! We stayed 2 nights and I’m so glad we did! The rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful with whatever we needed, and we cannot wait to go back next year to celebrate our anniversary! I could go on all day, but just know that you will not be disappointed with having your special day here at The Grove! It was so magical, I instantly missed it the second we left! -

The best ever!
We had our wedding at Grove/Briar Barn Inn 2 weeks ago and I can not say enough good things!! They gave us the wedding of our dreams. The entire team completely exceeded every expectation we had and made the wedding planning process seamless and easy. They thought of everything and held our hands the entire way. Julia, our coordinator, was OUTSTANDING. She was so organized and on top of every single detail. We fell in love with her!! She is a TRUE PRO. Billie Sue and the inn team made us and our guests feel right at home. I can't imagine anywhere on the North Shore handles weddings as well as this team. 10/10 incredible. -

We got married at Briar Barn Inn on 9/2/23 and I cannot say enough about how amazing the venue was!
From the beginning, the venue tour with Jenna was personal, thorough, and personalized - she answered our many (!) questions and was more than happy to look into some very specific requests we had. Everyone on the team at Briar Barn Inn is just as lovely and capable, especially our coordinator Julia. Leading up to and on the day of, she worked seamlessly with our personal wedding planner to make sure that everything went according to plan. I honestly don't think that we would've had as good of an experience without her - everything seemed to be already thought of, and anything that we needed on the day was somehow already on its way to us!
Not to be forgotten is the catering - one of the draws of this venue was the on-site catering, which made everything so seamless. Both wedding parties were able to get getting-ready food on-site, and we didn't have to worry about finding outside caterers/bar service. The dinner was delicious and the staff were all so helpful. There were a few older guests that don't speak fluent English, but I was told afterward that everyone was very kind and answered all their questions.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - both the outdoor patio where we got married and the indoor reception area were everything we could've hoped for. It felt so intimate and romantic, and the natural greenery surrounding the venue made a perfect background. The getting-ready suite on site was a huge plus, and it's decorated perfectly for those pre-ceremony photos!
The Inn is also clean and comfortable - I would highly recommend staying in the Inn because being able to walk like 20 feet after the reception to our room was such a relief after a long day. Julia also packed up our decor and handed it off to the Inn's front desk so that we didn't have to worry about it until check out the next morning, which is just another example of how seamless everything at the Briar Barn Inn is.

I cannot put into words just how perfect everything was.. if you are looking for an intimate GORGEOUS setting with incredible food, attentive staff, and having the best day of your life come to fruition....this is where you belong! -

Despite the unpredictable and unfortunately rainy weather on our wedding day, our coordinator Emily was absolutely incredible. Grove was able to provide two set ups (one outdoor and one indoor) for our ceremony and gave us until the last minute to decide which to use. We decided to have the ceremony inside and everything was absolutely beautiful. We heard from multiple guests that if you didn't know the original plan was to be outside, you would assume the indoor ceremony was the plan all along. It was perfect and we can't thank everyone at Grove enough for making our day stress free and incredibly memorable. Oh, also the food at Grove is the best we have had at any wedding we have ever been to and all of our guests were very impressed. I can't express how happy we are with how everything turned out. -

I cannot say enough good things about the Grove at Briar Barn Inn!! Some of the top things they have to offer outside of their beautiful venue is the Inn where you can block rooms for you and your guests to stay, the ample getting ready space (whether you choose to get ready in a suite at the inn or the bridal suite at the grove) the beautiful grounds allow for a beautiful backdrop for your outdoor ceremony and pictures and of course their AMAZING food options for your big day (their chef is amazing and the food is to die for!). I cannot forget to mention their warm chocolate chip cookies which is part of every wedding package and something they are known for!
Something that was important to me was having a wedding in a location that allowed for guests to stay close by and enjoy their stay and this venue allowed for all of that. To top it off, you are offered a day of coordinator to help organize everything and make your wedding dreams come true. We were lucky enough to be paired with Emily M. and she was AMAZING! She was always quick to respond to any emails I sent and put me at ease the day of the wedding. While I cannot speak on behalf of all the other coordinators, I can only imagine that they are just as professional, organized and as kind as her! My husband and I hope to visit the briar barn inn and grove yearly to celebrate our marriage and reflect on our most perfect wedding day! 🤍 -

To say that all my wedding dreams came true is an understatement. Grove at Briar Barn Inn was the first venue that my husband and I viewed in early 2022 and right from the jump we were amazed by just how right the space felt. We were able to view the entire venue, a few of the rooms in BBI, and establish a connection with the wonderful event team. As we decided to move forward with hosting our wedding at this beautiful venue, that connection remained intact. The whole event team was always available to answer any questions we had along the way and it truly made the experience feel so personal. My husband and I opted for blocking off the entire Inn for our guests. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at the BBI. Billie-Sue is an absolute delight to work with and made the process seamless. We cannot wait to go back and stay each year for our anniversary. Our event coordinator, Alyssa, was amazing. She went above and beyond to make our day flawless. She made the whole process so easy for us, making sure to keep everything organized leading up to the day. During the day off, she constantly checked-in with us to see if we needed anything, made sure that we ate, and always had drinks ready for us. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! Our guest raved about the food and how romantic the space felt. We could not be happier with how our day turned out. We were even blessed with the perfect amount of snowfall for that stunning winter wedding feel. I could go on forever and not recommend it enough. Have your wedding at Grove at BBI- you won't regret it! -

Our Valentines Day Wedding!
Let me just start with saying this wedding is still being talked about amount my family and friends as the best wedding they’ve ever been too. The atmosphere is casual but romantic, the food was a HUGE hit with my family! My new FIL worked his entire life as a chef and was floored by the meal and appetizers! Alyssa was our coordinator and really brought me the wedding of my dreams. The entire staff was so polite and worked hard. The bartender was AMAZING! The BEST part was after the wedding all my family and friends slept in the INN which absolutely blew everyone away. It was so clean and cozy, it was really a special touch for guests that were use to just grabbing whatever lodging they could for weddings without on site accommodations. My ONLY regret was not booking the brunch the next day, it looked absolutely amazing and highly recommend it if you want to add a little extra razzle dazzle! Thank you so much Briar Barn Team, I will tell everyone I know about this inn and restaurant and will make sure i make anniversary reservations there every year,WITH a reservation brunch!!!!!! -

What an incredible spot for our magical wedding day - I have lived in the North Shore all my life (57 years) and never knew this hidden gem THE GROVE existed. We got married at Briar Barn in September, 2022 after booking the venue about 1.5 years prior. BB is the perfect venue for smaller weddings. The amount of contact we had with the BB team in the months leading up to the wedding was very helpful to answer numerous small questions and talk through logistics of the day. Our assigned planner, Alyssa was incredible both leading up to the wedding and day-of running the show, and made the day feel relatively effortless!
BB is perfect for couples who want to be able to control as many or as few of the details as they want, since you can hire your own vendors, bring decorations, bring dessert, etc. but they also have 2 options for where to hold the ceremony, many food and drink options, decorations to rent, etc. BB is a beautiful venue any time during the year, the staff are extremely professional, and your guests will love it. -

Amazing experience with our august wedding!
Our experience with the Briar Barn Inn and Grove was an amazing experience from start to finish! Emily helped make our dream wedding possible and was so attentive to our needs and helped to organize the details. Perfect Wedding weekend
My husband and I got married at the Briar Barn Inn on 4/30/22. Right after we toured the space, we knew it was the perfect venue for our special day. It was a great size for our wedding of around 75 guests. One of the items that really sold it to us was being able to have all aspects of our wedding in one location - lodging, ceremony, and reception. We had quite a few out of town guests, and everyone loved having this.
We weren't matched with a planner right away, which did have me a little worried, however, anytime I reached out, the team was responsive and helpful with any of my questions. We got matched with our planner, Julia, about 8 weeks before our wedding. Julia truly was amazing! She was very organized, helped me with whatever came up, and was always cheerful. She definitely made the experience easier throughout the months leading up to the wedding.
The weekend of the wedding was couldn’t have gone better. Myself and the girls got ready in our Grand King Suite which was a great space. There was gorgeous natural light which was ideal for hair, make-up, and photographs. It was also large enough for all of us, which was about 10 in total. My husband and the guys got ready in the bridal suite above the Grove as it was available at 2pm. The suite also overlooks the courtyard, which is where we had our first look. This was awesome to have as the bridesmaids and moms were able to watch and get a video of the first look which was a bonus to have.
The ceremony was on-site and outside which was beautiful. We rented the golden arch for the ceremony that was then utilized for our sweetheart table inside for dinner. The food and beverage during the cocktail hour and the reception were delicious. Julia helped to keep everything on schedule during the reception so we had plenty of time to party after dinner and speeches.
Overall, our wedding was glorious and I would recommend the Briar Barn Inn to anyone. Between the beautiful reception venue, outdoor ceremony location, courteous and responsive staff, and comfy inn, it really is the perfect spot to get married. -

My husband and I got married at Briar Barn Inn on 3/19/22 and it was truly the best day of our lives!! From the beautiful inn where we spent the weekend to the warm and inviting ambiance of the venue and then the food and drinks that we were able to enjoy, the experience was incredible.
The most stand out part of the weekend and weeks leading up to our day was our coordinator, Emily. I really can’t put into words how grateful I am to Emily. She put me at ease the first meeting I had with her which is not easy as a bride-ha! Emily was easy to communicate with and always very responsive, especially to my 100 emails making last minute changes the day before. Unbeknownst to me, days before the wedding, she even kindly helped my dad with a video he prepared to play after his speech. When I approached my dad about the video he told me it wouldn’t have been possible without Emily’s help. The video was one of the best moments of the wedding as I was in tears and I am so thankful to have chosen a venue and given a coordinator who genuinely cares about these moments. Emily even remembered my husband doesn’t drink and made sure to provide me with our signature cocktail and him with our signature mocktail right after the ceremony, along with a tray of our hors d’oeuvre so we could eat and have a moment by ourselves before cocktail hour and the reception. Everyone has continued to rave about the food-even the pickiest people said it was the best food they’ve ever had! Our guests were blown away by how beautiful the venue was and how amazing all the staff was.
There were so many thoughtful and special touches from start to finish and I am so grateful to everyone that made our wedding the most incredible day of our lives. Thank you so so much Briar Barn Inn but especially Emily who was the MVP of the entire experience! -

The Briar Barn Inn is truly beautiful in every aspect that couples are looking for in a wedding venue. It's a venue that encompasses everything all at one site. It was the only wedding venue that we looked at. I knew from the beginning that this was the place for our wedding. We got married on 5/31/2021, after canceling our original date of 2/13/2021 due to covid, we had the most magical day, as expected. The Briar Barn Inn was so accommodating and understanding when we had to choose a new date. They made the process easy. That Monday when we finally said "I do", it was everything we thought it would be and more. -

A Magical Wedding Day
Deciding to get married at Briar Barn was an easy decision. From the moment we walked through the doors of Grove I knew it was our venue. The venue is absolutely stunning! You can tell this venue was designed by someone with a keen sense of detail and design. Grove is breathtaking! We initially met with Melissa Thunberg in May of 2020 for our venue tour. She sat with us and made sure all of our questions were answered before leaving. She was also incredibly patient with us as we tried to decide if Briar Barn was the right venue for us.
As soon as we secured Briar Barn, we got access to their online portal which allowed us to make online payments every few months so we could pay off the wedding gradually. It was also a game changer when it came to the details of our wedding. In addition to the portal, you can email the group of coordinators at any time leading up to the wedding and a specific day of coordinator is assigned to you about 6 weeks ahead of the big day. There is also a number of enhancements that you can rent for the big day, including wine barrels, a cake stand, table numbers, a card box, and arches.
Julia was our assigned day of coordinator and she was INCREDIBLE! We initially communicated via email and met in person for our details meeting in August. She went over every detail and gave us some “homework” to complete regarding decisions we weren’t 100% on. She kept us organized and made sure we had all of our t’s crossed and our i’s dotted. She met us on the Thursday before our wedding so we could drop off all of our décor and went through everything with us so she knew what everything was and where it should go.
There was a wedding on Friday night so we were unable to have a rehearsal dinner, but on Saturday Julia made sure everything went off without a hitch! She ran errands for us on the day of like bringing food from the bridal suite to the hotel room where my husband and the guys were getting ready, without hesitation. She watched the weather like a hawk to help us decide if we could have our ceremony outside. She would also pop by to check in to make sure my husband and I were taking care of ourselves before the ceremony started, like making sure we both ate. She kept us all on track and brought my vision to life. We had booked a quartet for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance. Julia definitely rescued the day as she checked in with the quartet before the events began and discovered that they were unaware that they were supposed to play our first dance song. She was able to handle the situation, while keeping me calm, and to this day I still can’t thank her enough for that! Following the ceremony she had made sure there were cocktails and also a plate of hors d’oeuvres waiting for the bridal party. At the end of the night, she and the rest of the staff took all of our decorations down and stored them away until our check-out date from the Inn.
The food was AMAZING! Our guests still talk about the food. The hors d’oeuvres were delicious and the entrees were incredible! We opted for the chicken and filet mignon and guests raved about both, especially the filet. We asked for a signature drink that had been on Grove’s menu last fall and they were more than happy to get the ingredients to make it.
We had the most amazing experience at Briar Barn and would recommend this venue and their AMAZING staff to anyone! It truly is an all-inclusive experience. Thank you so much to Julia and the staff at Briar Barn for making our day magical and unforgettable.

Absolutely Amazing!!
This review is two years in the making, and I cannot believe I am finally able to write it. Two years ago, my husband and I walked into Briar Barn Inn and fell in love. The small, intimate charm of a place being rustic, old fashioned and modern all wrapped out into one was my selling point. We booked our wedding, but did not expect what was to come next. In order to share how amazing this venue truly is I have to share our story leading up to the wedding.
We were set to get married last January, but then COVID happened. Before the wedding, Briar Barn Inn and our wedding coordinators endlessly worked with us to make sure we were “COVID friendly” and everyone was safe and guidelines were followed. However, 10 days before the wedding, a wrench was thrown in our wedding plans as the indoor capacity for weddings went from 25 to 10 people. There was no way we could only have 10 people. Briar was exceptional in understanding what we were going through, offered to postpone our wedding with our same wedding package to the next year since we wanted a winter wedding. They kept in contact with me to make sure all our rooms at the Inn where switched over, and all our wedding plans remained the same. It was absolutely astounding the communication and level of professionalism Briar had. You can tell they plan a lot of weddings, because they have everything down to a tee!
This year, we finally made it! Our wedding day was wonderful, amazing, incredible, whatever you want to call it Briar made it that way! Julia, our day of coordinator knew exactly the vision I wanted and I didn’t even need to explain it to her much. She made sure everything ran seamlessly. I work in veterinary medicine, and she didn’t care that we were a quirky couple who made a lot of our wedding decor focused on our dogs. She made it look so beautiful.
All our guest were also raving about how amazing the Grove was, and the food!! Every guest said it was to die for! Our bartender was also amazing and so great to our guests! It was a magical, snowy winter day and it was everything we could dreamed of. Thank you Briar Barn for being there for the last two years making all our wedding dreams come true. I couldn’t thank you all enough! -

Grove is AMAZING! My partner & I decided to throw our wedding together in just over a month due to some unforeseen circumstances in our family, and we got incredibly lucky that Grove had a cancellation due to COVID on a Saturday night during the timeframe when we wanted to have it. We loved the pictures we saw online, but we loved the venue even more when we visited it in person. It was truly meant to be. Jenna in sales was very helpful and thorough answering all of our questions quickly and she understood time was of the essence. Once we booked, we worked with Jeannine as our coordinator who was absolutely wonderful! The amount of details that had to be sorted out quickly was overwhelming but Jeannine was on top of all of it. She guided us from her own experience so we knew what worked well and what didn't, and it helped us tremendously in our planning process. At one point we were having a hard time locking down a photographer & DJ due to our quick timeframe, and Jeannine promptly contacted all of Grove's preferred vendors to see if anyone could help. Within a day, we had a wonderful photographer and amazing DJ. Jeannine went the extra mile to accommodate all of our requests, she was present for our entire event from start to finish, and she went out of her way to make sure things were set up properly and perfectly for us. Walking in to the venue prior to the reception and seeing it all set up absolutely took our breath away. It was more beautiful than we ever imagined it would be and we can't thank Jeannine and all the staff at Grove enough for their hard work. The servers and bartender were wonderful, the food was DELICIOUS (we are still getting comments months later on one of the dishes we chose), and the venue is so beautiful you just can't go wrong. We highly recommend Grove for your event and we will be forever grateful for all they did to make our day absolutely perfect! -

We are so beyond happy with our experience at the Briar Barn Inn. After seeing the property under construction in 2019 we knew it was meant to be our wedding venue. When we booked for June 2020, we had no idea that everything would need to be postponed another year. The staff was amazing at communicating all of the changes with us and we were fortunate to get a July 2021 date.
The day was absolutely perfect. Our wedding coordinator Julia helped the whole day run smoothly, and all of the wait staff was phenomenal and friendly. We are still getting compliments on how amazing the day was and how beautiful everything turned out. We can’t say enough good things about the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere. We were also fortunate to get a room block at the Inn and our families were able to enjoy the porch swing, fire pit, and the entire site during their stay. We even booked a reservation for brunch the day after at the Grove and relived all of the beautiful memories together. Highly recommend this unique and special venue! -

The Briar Barn Inn is a dream wedding venue! My husband and I got married here in June 2021. We loved the modern farmhouse charm that the Inn had to offer.
The Inn has every detail covered. From the décor and lighting to the food and drinks, we haven’t stopped getting compliments from our guests. The entire planning process was seamless due to Julia D’Agostino and her team. Julia was so wonderful to work with and very responsive to all our questions. The online portal was also an excellent tool as we were able to view and update as needed.
We also loved that the Inn is so close to Grove. Our guests that stayed over loved that they were able to walk right over to the Inn after dancing the night away!

We got married at Briar Barn Inn in May 2021 and we are so thankful we picked this venue. It was the first venue we toured after we got engaged in October 2019, and it was our immediate favorite. They stole our hearts when we received a box of cookies and a handwritten note thanking us for our time during the visit. Our original wedding date was in March, but we postponed it because of the interstate travel restrictions in place at the time. Thanks to the help of Monique and Melissa, the date change process was kind, fair, and professional. Teresa, the GM at the Inn was an angel and helped move our room block over to our new date and handled all guest questions with grace and patience. Rachel and Jeannine were so helpful during the planning process and the online portal was super helpful to stay organized. Upon arrival at the hotel the night before our wedding, our friends and family all raved about how beautiful & clean their rooms were.
On our wedding day, the unexpected happened and my father had a medical emergency at the Inn. Teresa was there immediately and helped guide the emergency services to his room. She also notified our planner, Jeannine, and Monique, VP of Operations, who jumped in immediately to assist us in notifying our vendors. The level of compassion and care displayed by Jeannine and the members of the Bramble Hospitality team that day was inspiring. Thanks to their quick action, we changed the schedule of the day to have cocktail hour first and the ceremony second, which allowed us the time to hold a ceremony off-site at the hospital with my father. While it was far from the day we planned, it was made even more special by the entire team and our vendors. My dad is now recovering at home and still talks about how amazing the day was, even in the midst of crisis. Our families are forever grateful to the team and look forward to celebrating our future anniversaries at Grove and Briar Barn Inn. -

We had a beautiful wedding at Briar Barn Inn in early June and it was everything and more than what we could've dreamed of! From the beginning, the staff was very responsive and answered all our questions. Since we were planning at a strange COVID time, they accommodated our needs and were flexible in adjusting guest counts. When you decide to have your wedding at Briar Barn Inn, they include so much in their package, from food tastings, an online portal with planning guidelines, and an amazing day of coordinator!
The venue itself is beautiful, perfect for smaller to medium sized weddings. We had an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception. What's great about the space is that if there's a chance of rain, it's easy to convert the outdoor ceremony to indoors.
And let me tell you about the food! We were blown away when we had our wedding food tasting. Everything tasted phenomenal and come our wedding day, our guests felt the same way. We especially loved the bacon wrapped dates which we chose as an hors d'oeuvre.
Lastly, our day of coordinator Julia D'Agostino, was so helpful! She answered all of our questions very promptly leading up to the big day, and on our day, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. She was supportive and enthusiastic and made sure all our requests were delivered. Thank you so much to Briar Barn Inn and its staff for making our wedding so special! -

We visited Briar Barn Inn in early 2020 before the pandemic and fell in love with the venue! We immediately knew in our hearts that this was our dream wedding venue. The feel of Briar Barn Inn is romantic, modern but with vintage touches. It makes you feel like you are someplace else because it's set back and so beautiful. It truly is a hidden gem! Planning a wedding through the pandemic was challenging but Briar Barn Inn continuously stayed in contact with us and would answer any questions and concerns we had. Kelsey, our day of wedding coordinator was awesome! She is really down to earth and very easy to talk too! She made us feel as if we had known her forever, made us feel very comfortable and really treated us so well! We were very impressed with the service and attention that Kelsey gave to my Husband and I. I dropped off a bunch of decor items and left it in her hands to set up and Wow, she did an awesome job! She really is a professional in her field and made the venue so beautiful with all of our special touches. We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out despite some of the challenges we were faced. The staff at Briar Barn Inn go above and beyond, the food and drinks were delicious and everything is so clean and well maintained! We basically had the entire Inn of family and close friends and everyone really enjoyed their stay and had the best time in a long time! Casual elegance & fabulous food!
EXQUISITE - My husband and I had a small wedding at the Briar Barn in the summer of 2020. Everything was magnificent and magical! This venue was truly quintessential rustic modern New England elegance. The outdoor area (which we used for the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and late night bites under the twinkle lights), the indoor Grove restaurant, and the Inn were a unique and wonderful combination. Although there were other guests staying at the Inn that weekend, we still felt like we had our own private compound. The Briar Barn Inn team was professional, organized, responsive, and provided all service with a smile...behind masks, of course! As for the food, it was AMAZING! Our favorite appetizer was the chorizo stuffed dates with bacon and piquillo pepper. The corn chowder shooter served with the salad course was delicious. The chef prepared a scrumptious lobster bisque and lobster scampi for my father, who for that moment in time was able to forget that he was on a special diet! As for our other guests, they are still raving about the outstanding filet mignon! The Briar Barn Inn staff created the most beautiful dessert display with their cookies and ice cream along with items we purchased from Frederick’s Pastries and The Painted Pastry. The venue’s staff even packed up the extra desserts in boxes for guests to take home! Our overnight guests enjoyed a lovely relaxed breakfast at the Grove the morning after the wedding. (Be sure to tell the kids to order the pancakes and watch their eyes grow wide when their breakfast is delivered!) If you’re still looking for the perfect venue for your own wedding or another event, such as my husband planning for a post-pandemic anniversary party, be sure to take a tour of the Briar Barn Inn. I know you and your guests will love it as much as we did. Enjoy every moment!!! -

We were married at the sister property, the willowdale estate! Everyone from the wedding stayed at the Briar Barn Inn - but we also had our next day wedding brunch there, as well as my bridal shower. Beginning to end, the staff was easy to work with, professional, organized, and kind. The Grove restaurant is phenomenal, and we love how each room had a deep soaking bathtub and a fireplace. Our guests all mentioned they planned on coming back to the hotel for a staycation (we were mostly local). Beautiful property, for a wedding it simply a relaxing getaway. -

Wedding venue/ weekend getaway
My fiancé and I booked briar barn as our wedding venue sight unseen. We saw Briar Barn’s website online and fell in love with the designs they had created. Most people would think we are crazy to book a wedding venue without seeing it but we just knew that nothing was going to top Briar Barn and boy were we right!
When the Inn opened up we decided to book a room and stay so we could get a feel for what our big day would be like. Upon arrival at the inn we were greeted by a team of women who were welcoming and cheery, it made us feel so special. They were organized and gave great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. Our room was STUNNING, every little detail in the room from the floor to the ceiling. The Inn gives off a modern, rustic, New England feel that we just fell in love with. We stayed in a room that had a loft with this beautiful dark brown tufted leather couch. My fiancé wished he could take the couch home with us because he loved it so much!
During our stay we bumped into Briar who is the owner of the inn, she introduced herself to us and asked us how our stay was going. I told her we decided to stay for a weekend because we booked our wedding for next year. When I told her about our wedding she gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and ideas for decorating.which made our stay feel even more special than it already was.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in a great location, or looking to plan a wedding we HIGHLY suggest Briar Barn Inn. The team is absolutely amazing and the venue is out of this world.
To Briar and her phenomenal team- thank you for making our weekend so special and thank you for guiding us through the planning process for our wedding! We are so grateful.

Stephen & I had our wedding in October at the Briar Barn Inn. We actually had our third date at the Grove and loved it so much we decided to have our wedding there! The things we wanted most were a smaller, intimate wedding, great food and a memorable experience for our family and friends. It was all of that! The Inn was beautiful and it made it so convenient for our guests who came for the weekend. (Lovely amenities!!) We also loved working with Julia our wedding coordinator. She was very attentive and helpful. Also we have to mention the chocolate chip cookies! Absolutely delicious! -

Wedding 2024
The grove exceeded my expectations. I had my dream fall wedding here and the refinished modern barn feel with a gorgeous fall back drop made for an exceptional and beautiful experience. My guests were obsessed with the venue and the food, they couldn’t stop saying how beautiful everything looked. Jeannine was my wedding coordinator and she was responsive, flexible, and answered all my questions up until the hour before. She was able to alleviate all my wedding day stressors and made everything seamless from decorating to ceremony set up to entrances and food service. She gave excellent recommendations, and She let me have a lot of my own autonomy when I presented my own ideas too. My only complaint would be the lack of communication between the venue itself and the Inn made for some confusion at times but overall Having the hotel inn next door couldn’t have been more convenient for my guests and bridesmaids, you really get the full New England charming experience here. Highly recommended!!m!

We had a magical wedding over the weekend at the Grove. It was made complete by our fantastic wedding coordinator, Emily. She was incredibly accommodating and listened to all of our requests. We originally planned for an outdoor wedding but the New England weather prevailed. The inside is just as beautiful as the outdoor terrace. All of our guests were commenting on all the beautiful details of the venue. Emily assisted us with navigating the unpredictable weather and was outstanding. She was an integral part of making our day so special!
The venue is gorgeous and the food is delicious!!! The only downside is that you can’t get ready in the Groves “getting ready” space until 12pm, myself (the bride) and my bridal party got ready in the hotel room at the Briar Barn Inn. We had a gorgeous grande king suite lofted room. It was incredibly noteworthy and made the day all the more special. I would say it all worked out in the end! I highly recommend getting married at this cozy and unique venue! -

The food was amazing and our guests really loved it. Perfect space for our wedding size of 70 guests. We would definitely recommend this venue. -

Wish I could re-live my wedding!
The Briar Barn is absolutely amazing. I got married there on 9/24/2021 and everything was better than I could have imagined. The Grove is stunning when it's transformed from a restaurant to a reception venue. I was blown away by how great everything looked (big shout out to Julia, the wedding coordinator there. She did a FANTASTIC job setting up the venue and making everything looked perfect). Our wedding party stayed at the Inn which was super convenient. The rooms were all so comfortable and very spacious. I can't forget to mention how incredible the food is there, both the restaurant itself and the wedding food. We went there for dinner and breakfast while we were staying at the Inn and the food was just so good. The food for the wedding was just as good, if not better. People LOVED the hors d'oeuvre. The Briar Barn gives you access to "Planning Pod" which seriously is the greatest wedding tool ever. It keeps tracks of your RSVPs, allows you to pick all your food options, and create your seating chart. It's such a cool and helpful tool.
I wouldn't have changed a thing about my wedding day. The venue, the grounds, the staff...everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you Briar Barn and Julia! -

I recently got married at The Grove at Briar Barn Inn on 06/25/2022 and overall, I had a great experience at the venue. The location was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. The summer setting made everything even more perfect. However, there were a few issues that we encountered during our wedding day.
Firstly, some guests had trouble with the steak being too rare for their liking. While we did have a food trial before the wedding where the food was cooked perfectly, the same was not the case on the day of the wedding. It is understandable that it can be challenging to cook for a large number of people, but this is something that fell a bit flat during our wedding.
We also had some miscommunication with our wedding coordinator regarding the cake needing to be refrigerated. Initially, she informed us that there might not be enough space for it due to a brunch they were having that day. This caused me unnecessary stress as a bride trying to figure out how to keep the cake cool for so many hours. Eventually, our coordinator was able to handle it, but it was not ideal.
Lastly, when we initially booked the venue, we were told that there would be space for the groom's party to get ready/have a small room in the venue, which was also advertised on their website and during the tour. Unfortunately, when it was time to use the room, we were informed that it was now a storage room. Although we were able to get ready in our hotel room, this was a bit disappointing.
Overall, I would recommend The Grove at Briar Barn Inn as a beautiful all-inclusive wedding venue. However, I would suggest that they work on their promises and customer service a bit more to avoid any miscommunications or unnecessary stress for future events."

My husband and I recently had the most magical wedding at the Grove at Briar Barn Inn, and we cannot stop raving about our experience, especially with Jeannine LeVasseur as our day-of coordinator. From the moment we met Jeannine, we knew we were in good hands. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness made all the difference in ensuring our day was nothing short of perfect.
Jeannine went above and beyond to take care of every detail, leaving no stone unturned. From the big picture plans to the smallest nuances, she flawlessly executed every aspect of our wedding. It was evident that she truly cared about making our day as special as possible.
One of the things that impressed us the most was Jeannine's responsiveness and ability to ease our concerns. Despite only meeting her a month before the wedding, she quickly became an invaluable part of our planning process. Her prompt communication and willingness to address any worries or questions we had helped alleviate any pre-wedding jitters we may have had.
On the day of our wedding, Jeannine was an absolute rockstar. She ensured that everything ran smoothly and seamlessly, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the moment without a single worry on our minds. From coordinating with vendors to making sure our guests were well taken care of, Jeannine's attention to detail was unparalleled.
Not only did Jeannine exceed our expectations as a coordinator, but she also went out of her way to be kind and helpful to our family and guests. Her warm demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand did not go unnoticed, and we received countless compliments from our loved ones about how wonderful she was.
While our wedding day at the Grove at Briar Barn Inn was nothing short of perfect thanks to Jeannine, our journey to get there was not without its challenges. Our planning process began almost a year and a half before the big day, but we didn't meet Jeannine until just six weeks prior to the wedding. Before her involvement, we encountered some bumps in the road with the event staff and managers at the venue.
Before Jeannine came into the picture, navigating the planning process was not as straightforward as we had hoped. We ran into several roadblocks and found ourselves feeling a bit frustrated at times. One piece of advice we would offer to future couples considering this venue is to be cautious when reserving additional accessories and décor. Once these items are added to the contract, they cannot be removed, which can limit flexibility in the planning process.
Additionally, we learned the hard way that if you do not secure a full inn room block (30 rooms), the inn may allow other wedding parties to book the remaining rooms without informing you. This lack of communication was disappointing and something we wish we had been aware of earlier in the planning process. We would like to also to acknowledge Chloe at the Inn. Her communication prior to the wedding and during the wedding weekend was always professional, kind and accommidating.
Despite selecting the full bar option for our wedding, we occasionally felt as though we were being nickel and dimed for certain services or amenities. Our package included 2 signature dcocktails. When we decided to only have 1 signature cocktail that wasn't on their list we were charged an additional fee for the signature cocktail we wanted. Even after booking 24 rooms for our wedding weekend and hosting our rehearsal dinner at the Grove the evening prior to the ceremony and reception, we didn't always feel like our patronage was being fully appreciated.
Furthermore, we noticed a significant amount of staff turnover from our initial booking meetings up until we met Jeannine. This inconsistency in personnel added an extra layer of stress to the planning process.
However, once Jeannine stepped in, everything changed for the better. She was the saving grace of our entire event. Unlike our previous experiences, Jeannine never once said, "we can't do that" or "we won't do that." Her unwavering dedication, professionalism, and can-do attitude transformed our wedding planning experience into something truly special.
In summary, while our journey with the Grove at Briar Barn Inn had its challenges, Jeannine's exceptional service and support ultimately made our wedding day a dream come true. We hope that by sharing our experiences, future couples will be better informed and able to navigate their own planning process with greater ease.
