Brian is hands down the BEST!

Brian is hands down the best! I had been searching for a good Dj in the Bay Area and stumbled upon Brian's website where I had found a link to his Spotify playlist "Rare Grooves". I took a listen and I automatically loved it along with his other playlists, and overall I got a really great vibe that Brian must truly be a very eclectic music lover which is really important if you want a DJ who can play all sorts of multi-genres to match different age groups and styles. In my case, we certainly bonded over some old school classic hip hop and some good soul/R&B. It was really fun to talk to Brian, it was like we were good friends just enjoying conversation about all sorts of music and that made phone conversations and emails very pleasant.

Brian was very professional in handling all business matters. We first talked about important details such as location and time of wedding and how many hours we'd require, and the type of music we'd like to be played. He sent over his proposal letter first which summarized all details and once agreed upon, sent over his invoice. I really liked how quick and easy the payment process was.

As we got closer to the big day, we had a few more phone conversations with Brian telling him specific songs we'd like to play, any songs we don't want played, etc. We felt we were able to communicate very with Brian and he listened and really took note on our ideas. We then got to set up the timeline with him and our wedding coordinator to really get to the details of what songs will be used for the introduction, the first dance, father daughter dance, cake cutting, etc. Brian executed everything perfectly and timely.

Our wedding day was amazing thanks to Brian! A friend told me that the two most important components for a memorable wedding is good food and good music, and it is so true! All of the guests were on the dance floor the entire night! Brian executed all the songs we asked to play, mixed in songs he knew the crowd would vibe with, got some party trains going, sing alongs going, everyone LOVED the music selections and we received so many compliments from our guests post-wedding. It was truly a memorable night thanks to Brian. He really killed it! It was so good.

Look no further, if you want a super friendly, down to earth, professional, eclectic music collector DJ/ Emcee. Brian is the best choice. Your search is over and you'll be so happy that you went with him.

Great DJ for Intimate Wedding

Brian was very professional to work with and was patient as we provided our music preferences. He was accommodating to include the set up we needed for cocktail hour and the reception, including uplighting. Our guests had a lot of fun dancing to the music. We are grateful for all that Brian did to create such happy fun vibes at our wedding!

The best DJ

Incredibly Responsive and Attentive

DJ Brian Lu was theeeee best!!! I could always count on Brian to follow up, ensure we were prepared for our reception, and was receptive to all of our requests especially playing my nostalgic music. He really took the time to vibe check our reception and was super involved behind the scenes according to my day-of-coordinator ensuring that my husband and I had the best time ever! So many of my family and friends were able to enjoy themselves and dance (which I have NEVER seen them do before). They complemented Brian's selection of throwbacks and pop hits. He even let us pose with his equipment at the end of the night just because he's that nice of a guy. Thank you Brian!!

Perfect DJ for our wedding reception

Throughout the planning process, Brian was the most responsive vendor we worked with! He would respond to each of my emails and texts within a few hours, and he communicated expectations for the event very clearly. Brian also went with us to a site visit at our venue to clarify questions he had about the venue's equipment and set up.

During our reception, everything went so smoothly, thanks to Brian's attention to detail and professionalism. The music choices during each portion of the evening were perfect, and the set list for the dancing portion exactly matched the vibe Kevin and I were looking for. We would highly recommend Brian to all wedding couples!

Brian was absolutely worth it and more!

Those were the exact words my (now) husband shared with me about Brian being our wedding reception DJ/MC. We were super blessed to be connected with Brian through my maid of honor and best friend, Michelle. Brian was truly professional, kind, and caring from start to finish. He is also an excellent communicator- he would always reach out and respond within a timely manner via email or text, whether it was a question about the venue or just to check in with friendly reminders. He helped play our wedding slideshow and even visited the venue well in advance to make sure all the equipment worked. With his extensive experience, one of the best pieces of advice Brian had given us during our initial meeting was to stick to what was meaningful to us instead of doing "what we thought we're supposed to," which was very much appreciated and the exact words we needed to hear. As a result, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed our wedding reception without any added pressure or stress. Most importantly, Brian is a master of his craft! His skills as a DJ are phenomenal. His taste in music is impeccable and he completely delivered in keeping everyone on the dance floor moving. Brian was so easy to work with and had excellent customer service. He makes it about you and executes your vision to life. Perfect balance of professional and fun.

Brian brought the life to the party and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the playlist, the energy and willing to accommodate requests.
It’s because of him that everyone thought our wedding was one of the funnest they’ve ever attended. When the party had to end, the crowd repeatedly chanted “one more song!”.

We can’t wait to hire Brian for the next event we throw in life.

We just found the gold record!

Thanks to a coworker of mine- he got us in contact with Brian (Pre-COVID). Quick email exchange and quick calls on the phone - made our decision very easy to pick Brian as our wedding DJ. Then boom! COVID. Brian was very easy to work with when it came to postponing our event and then a possible cancellation. It was crazy and he was so flexible and understandable on everything! We got truly lucky to have this creative man be so willing to accommodate our needs on everything. We finally managed to host a small/intimate dinner party with our closest friends and Brian was ready to go! We got so many compliments on the DJ as he played everything and anything. I gave Brian full control besides 3 songs for the grand entrance, 1st dance and grand exit. But other than that- everything was all thanks to him. Go with your gut, go with Brian. 10/10.

Need a DJ for a Celebration of Life? Brian is your guy!

Brian was a complete breath of fresh air. He took my direction to heart and really honed in on the details of my mom's Celebration of Life. I appreciated that he even played a song that was referenced in one of the speeches immediately after, made it a really special moment. I would use Brian again in a heartbeat, he really made my this Celebration of Life that much more meaningful.

Amazing DJ

Brian was the DJ for a friend's wedding and because he did such an amazing job, I booked him for my wedding. He has a wide range of music that can be customized based on what we were liked. He was friendly and totally understands the importance of this day. He worked with us to make it perfect for us and the relatives. Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel. However, Brian was very professional and generated multiple options for us. He is creative, flexible and has the ability to stream if you are doing a remote wedding/reception. Brian is our first choice and we would not hesitate to hire him again.

Highly recommended DJ

Brian is a total professional. He spent time really understanding what we wanted. He was very responsive and thoughtful throughout the process. I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately things didn't work out because my updated wedding date (due to COVID-19) and Brian's schedule conflicted, but my experience with Brian was great. He was accommodating and flexible in figuring out the best options moving forward.

Brian is a class act!

Unfortunately we had to cancel our March 2020 wedding due to the pandemic, so we are rating Brian based on our experience with him during the 6+ months long planning process. He was actually one of the first vendors we hired! Throughout the entire process, Brian was extremely responsive, flexible and transparent -- cannot emphasize that enough. He navigated wedding timeline changes, special requests and ultimately the cancellation with so much ease. He helped make the whole thing more enjoyable and stress free. We were so excited to have him at our wedding, but we can't wait to hire him again for our future anniversary celebration.

Unbelievable DJ and a big part of why our wedding ceremony and reception was a success

I can't say enough good things about Brian. Leading up to the event, he was extremely helpful and available. We had multiple calls with him, and he made sure all parties were prepared the day of. We ran into him the day before the wedding when we started moving things into the venue, as he took it upon himself to go to the venue himself (about an hour drive from San Francisco), in order to prepare. The day/night of the wedding he was exceptional. I got tons of compliments from guests about how good of a DJ he was. He played great music, was extremely responsive and flexible in terms of requests from the appropriate parties, and showed genuine enthusiasm about contributing to a great event. Brian is the absolute best DJ I've ever come across, but I believe the services he provided at our wedding were above and beyond those of a DJ. He is experienced, professional, and a great person to work with. Needless to say, I highly recommend Brian to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Brian is amazing to work with and he kept everyone dancing all night!

Brian is outstanding and we are so happy he was part of our wedding team! In addition to being our DJ, he MC'd the evening and provided the lighting for the dance floor and all the sound/audio equipment for the ceremony. He was very responsive and organized. He sent us a list of songs we needed to select and was super receptive to our questions and requests. The entire experience of working with him was stress free. He came to our venue walkthrough and was able to make sure everything was absolutely seamless on the day of the wedding. He did an amazing job with the music selection (both incorporating our preferences and reading the dance floor). Brian kept our friends and family on the dance floor all night!

Want people to have fun? Book Brian!!!!

Brian was awesome in every way. He was responsive and professional during the planning, and accommodated our custom elements (like having a band for cocktail hour, etc.). At no point did he have a vibe of "oh, I'm a DJ and I'm way cooler than you" which made him a pleasure to work with!! He was having a blast that night as well, great energy. He even humored me with my request to play the DJ airhorn thing during an announcement I gave. And per everyone else's review, he kept people dancing all night. Flower girls all the way up to the great grandma. I def recommend booking him for anything, esp a wedding! I'd also recommend getting the light-rig add-on, def made things more fun.

Great music, great sound and awesome to work with!

The best type of DJ is one that you don't have to worry about leading up to the wedding day and during the wedding. Brian is definitely one of those types!

Whether it was being responsive and answering any questions for us leading up to the big day, or doing a walk through of the actual venue to ensure that he understood what to do/where to set up, Brian made everything a breeze.

During our ceremony things went great - we used his hand mics (he has a lapel mic for the officiant as well!), the sound was perfect for the venue and there weren't any hitches. My wife and I were able to concentrate on what mattered most - each other and our family and friends.

As for the music? It was great - he asked what types of songs to play, which songs *not* to play, and gave his best recommendations for the night. He was definitely a hit as the dance floor was burning up the entire night!

If you're looking for a DJ that will do an amazing job, have a great sound system and someone who will put an exclamation point on your wedding day, then Brian is your man. We've been told that our wedding was one of the top that many of our friends and family had ever been to - we owe a large part of that to Brian.

Professionalism at its best!

We hired Brian thanks to his existing reviews on Wedding Wire and he was the first (and only!) DJ we connected with. He was very professional and helpful in many ways for our wedding on the days leading to.
During our reception (we didn't hire him for our ceremony), Brian was our MC and helped direct people to their tables or when it was time to get food, cut the cake, dance etc.. We also had some background music during the speeches (which were also announced by Brian).
We had to stop the party at 11pm (10pm at first but we extended one hour) because we were in a residential area but we never stopped dancing from the moment the music started until 11Pm!

We definitely recommend him for your events!

I highly recommend booking Brian to dj your party! Several months in advance, we booked Brian for our wedding and had a few quick conversations with him about our music tastes and our plans for the day. He checked in with us a few times as it was leading up to it to ask questions and get a venue contact. He was always responsive and a dream to work with. And then, there's the MUSIC! What can I say? Brian has great taste and blends songs really well! The party did not stop, literally, the whole time he started playing. He played softer music during dinner, made announcements, and just generally kept everything running smoothly all night. His music taste, demeanor, and overall professionalism are unmatched! I would highly recommend booking Brian for your event.

WE LOVE BRIAN! Seriously, I can't say that loudly enough.
From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and so, SO friendly. Our first phone consultation felt like we were talking about music with a friend. We started working together early, in January for our September wedding. It really gave us the opportunity to go back and forth about the music selection, vibe, and really, just a chance to get to know each other. He even put together a YouTube playlist to get our feedback about what we thought about the music, down to details like early pop vs. post-2007 Britney Spears. His process for understanding of our tastes happened so organically and naturally that it hardly felt like planning at all! We decided on all the music selections through email and his expertise about music quality was incredibly valuable and so appreciated.
We met in person when we did a walk through of the venue a few months before the wedding to get an idea of the space that he was going to be working in and iron out any details. This was incredibly valuable and I can't recommend doing this enough; we worked out of lot of details that made the day go so smoothly.
Brian was THE PERFECT MC. He was friendly and fun and seamlessly transitioned through the events of the night. The reception was an all out dance party! He read the crowd so well and got everyone on the floor. It was the perfect blend of 80s pop, 90s and top 40s that had everyone singing along and tearing up the dance floor. It was, without a doubt, the most fun I've had; many of our guests agreed.
We're so grateful to have worked with Brian; he was instrumental to making our wedding the best dance party, all while hardly feeling like we were planning a wedding at all.

Brian was the DJ for my wedding and he was FANTASTIC! From the start, he was sociable, communicative, professional, and easy to work with. Although I provided Brian with a map and pictures of the wedding venue, he still had a concern about how the DJ area might be too separated from the dance floor and was worried about not being able to see the crowd, which is super important for how he selects the music throughout the event. So he made a special trip to meet me and my husband at the venue so that could see first-hand how the rooms were laid out and how he could set up all his equipment appropriately. My husband and I were super appreciative that he went that extra step.

For the wedding, I gave Brian specific instructions for when to make certain announcements and he executed things perfectly. When our event timeline started getting off track, Brian would come up to me and my husband to check in on how we wanted to adjust the timing of things, so the whole event still proceeded smoothly.

And most importantly: the music for the whole event was on point! During the dinner, Brian played slower/classic tunes to match the mood and cater to some of the older adults. And during the party, Brian knew how to read the crowd and play songs to keep the party hyped up. My husband and I were incredibly happy to have had Brian as our DJ. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Brian was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure our wedding ceremony & reception went smoothly. He met with our vendor coordinator on more than one occasion to ensure wires and the power supply would work for our ceremony. He met up with us initially to discuss our wants and needs and followed up with example playlists for us to review. He was in contact with us from the initial booking all the way up to the event. I would highly recommend Brian for any DJ services.

We were so happy we chose Brian as a DJ for our wedding! He was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, which is really important when you have so many details to plan. Brian was the perfect DJ for our wedding! As we were looking for our wedding DJ, Brian spent an hour on the phone with us, detailing not only what he provides, but what we should be generally looking for in a DJ. Our music tastes were primarily 2000s hip-hop and r&b, and Brian jumped at the opportunity because that is is expertise! He scoped out our location, suggested the best place to set up his equipment, relative to the dance floor, and we are so glad that we went with his suggestions.

The event itself was a blast! Two months after our wedding, we still have friends telling us that our DJ really made the night, and set the stage for a great party.

Do not hesitate to reach out to Brian! At the very least, his demeanor will lend itself to a casual conversation between friends, instead of a tense negotiation with a vendor.

There's not much to say about Brian except that he's amazing! He's everything you need in a DJ - accommodating, professional, extremely responsive to your needs, personable, and he knows his music! He has the ability to read the crowd and play the right music that will keep the party going. He's easy to work with and dependable. Brian is awesome and we couldn't have been happier with our decision to go with him as our wedding DJ. One of the most important things for my husband and I was that we, and our guests, have a great party. We were hoping that everyone would drink, be merry, and that there wouldn’t be a dull moment on the dance floor -- we both think we had a great party and Brian is a big part of that. I’ll share a few anecdotes that are representative of Brian’s incredible job: (1) my mother-in-law told us after the wedding that she was surprised at how many times my father-in-law asked her to dance; (2) at an after-wedding brunch, we asked friends how they were feeling (i.e., if they were hungover) and one friend answered, “I’m not too bad, but my legs hurt from dancing so much”; and (3) another friend reached out to us for pictures because she said she was too busy dancing to take any photos. While dancing, his mixing skills were on point and we didn’t notice any awkward transitions or pauses. As incredible a job Brian did for the dance portion of the ceremony, he was also flawless in setting up at three different sound stations at the venue, had all the equipment we needed for the ceremony, dinner, and dance, and was always laid back and professional throughout the process. He was very responsive to emails, which reduced this crazy bride’s stress levels. He even met with us to do a walk through of the venue and was always available by phone if we had any questions. I had a few strange music requests and Brian, without hesitation, said he could handle it (and he did). Every aspect of our day that involved sound or MC’ing, Brian handled, and everything went great. I think we even showed up unannounced to our Grand Entrance (whoops!), and Brian was so observant that he quickly played our song and announced us. We interviewed a lot of DJs before settling on Brian and we are so happy that we did. Thank you, Brian, for giving us such a great party!!

Brian was great. He arrived early and had everything set up and ready to go before the event started. Our event was a 40th Reunion for High School - so a bit different from a wedding in that we didn't have to have him announce a lot of things - but he played great music and actually worked with one of our classmates with a cd he brought to play the old school stuff. Was a great event and Brian contributed to that. We would definitely call Brian back again.

DJ Bluz was hands down one of THE best decisions we made for our wedding. We just got married on 8/19/17 and I am still thinking about the amazing music from that night. For our outdoor wedding, we wanted to create "the perfect summer night:" romantic, warm, fun, and festive. We knew music was going to be a key factor in creating that environment. We didn't know if it could be done, but DJ Bluz delivered and executed it beautifully. During cocktail hour and dinner, he played our specific song requests but also balanced it with other tunes with the same vibe, which worked out well. By the time dancing began, people were warmed up and ready to go. Dancefloor was LIT and people were dancing and grooving to the music on and off the dance floor. Music is important to us so hearing from our friends and family throughout the night that the "The DJ is so good" or the "Music is so good!" was extra special to us. Working with DJ Bluz was also great! During our meetings, he really listened to us and tried to pin down our specific music tastes. Its easy to work with someone who loves what they do - he has a natural enthusiasm and love for music which is very apparent in his work. We cannot thank him enough for making our wedding vision come true. Thank you DJ Bluz!

We are SO glad that a family member recommended Brian to us for our wedding. From the very beginning he was organized, professional, and always so pleasant to speak with. We cannot say enough about his organization, super-speedy responses to any questions or changes we had, and truly went above and beyond in preparation to ensure that everything was good to go for the day of. And his music choice! Our wedding guests didn't stop dancing all night; he knew just what to play and when to get everyone (and we mean everyone!) out on that dance floor. My wife and I would highly recommend Brian (aka. DJ Bluz)! Brian emceed and DJ'ed our wedding of about 70 people at the San Jose Japanese Garden. Brian was very responsive, responsible, professional, and accommodating to our needs. He also played a great choice of music that got everyone dancing of all ages! We booked Brian for our company holiday event, and he was great! As everyone was settling in and enjoying dinner, he played some slower tracks to set the mood. When everyone was ready to get up and move, he turned it up a notch and got everyone dancing. He has a good collection of tracks-a mixture of soul, R&B, old school hip-hop, and new hits. He knows how to read the crowd and play the right music at the right times. I would definitely book him again for future events!

I've had the privilege of knowing Brian for about 3 years now. We met at Dolores Park at my very first SOfit session.

After I heard him spin that day I was hooked, his selections opened me up to a whole new world of "Future R&B/Music". Every week he still drops something that makes me go "OH DAMNNN!"

Brian is definitely not your run of the mill DJ. What differentiates him is that he is truly passionate, dedicated and professional about his craft. He is fully immersed in the ever evolving music and DJ scene.

Who else has their own radio show on AllDayPlay FM (ConnectFlow), DJ's weekly at Temple SF for SOfit sessions, creates mixtapes. DJ's weddings, work events, clubs. You name it, Brian done did it.

I've seen him DJ at all these different events and what amazes me is his versatility. He can mix in and out of old to new songs but still reading and playing to the crowd. He is without a doubt comfortable behind the decks. He really takes you on a musical journey and makes you feel some type of way.

Whatever your event may be Brian will definitely not disappoint. Even if you just sit and talk, He's a pretty funny dude. DJ Bluz is a true relic in the game

Brian is a music enthusiast who truly LOVES what he does – curating an amazing vibe through sound. Disclaimer: I'm kind of a music/DJ snob and have very, very sensitive ears (in a good way, lol!)

Brian has been DJing for my SOfit community fitness and yoga sessions for over 4 years and we have played a LOT of gigs. He has played for me in at least 9 nightclubs in San Francisco and have had a weekly residency for about 2 years.

In a city saturated with DJ's (and everything else for that matter) Brian is a gem.
First, Brian isn't just another guy who likes music who decided would become a DJ. I know his background, I know where he comes from and what he does on the weekends lol. He is not only passionate about the music, but he is a world class talented DJ. What I mean by that is he has a very broad palate of music, he is sensitive to the people in the room, the kind of venue he is in, the energy of the crowd, the demographic, who and what is going to create the vibes in the room, and most importantly - he knows how to mix in and out of music without sounding like sneakers in the dryer. He comes from the days of real turntables. He knows how to match beats. Kids these days don't understand or appreciate what real DJing is. But that's okay, cuz we have Brian :)

Brian is always reliable to show up early, have extra cords, batteries, and whatever backup I may need. He is truly a nice and honest human being trying to make a living doing what he loves most. Brian is a rare breed.

I would recommend Brian to play any kind of gig. From corporate, to wedding, to 90's hip hop, to hipster art openings - you can be rest assured you are working with a real pro.

I can't say enough good things about Brian. He is absolutely amazing and wonderful! I met him originally when he was kind enough to help us out at a fundraiser years ago (a friend had all of her business equipment stolen). Well I needed him again for a birthday party, but super last minute on a Sunday. Brian got back with me immediately, was super flexible (as we didn't have electricity), upbeat, and easy going, which was greatly appreciated as I had no idea how we were going to pull this party off. He just made it so easy and I was so grateful to be able to trust him to do whatever he needed (one more thing off of my plate). What is even better is that he really knows how to read a crowd and play the right music. After the party I had multiple people comment about how perfect his music was and how it added so much to the party. Brian is definitely the DJ I will go to first for any party and I would highly recommend using him!

Brian was our DJ for our wedding in September 2015 and he did an amazing job! We couldn't have been happier. We had seen Brian DJ at other events before, and picked him because he has great taste in music and can always get the dance floor moving. It was helpful that he had lots of experience as a wedding DJ before - he knew what questions to ask us about the set-up of the wedding and reception, logistics, musical preferences, and what songs we wanted specifically for the processional, recessional, first dance, bouquet toss, etc. These were things we didn't even know we had to think about.

He executed the music like a pro during our ceremony. We didn't even notice where he was set up because he blended right in. It was a beautiful ceremony that we will never forget. Everything went smoothly for the reception as well. During the MOH's speech, it was mentioned that she and I used to associate love songs with one another, and one in particular reminded her of me - Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me". Brian played "Because You Loved Me" right after her speech - and it was perfect and everybody laughed. After dinner, everybody was so happy and just dancing our feet off! Usually at weddings, not a lot of people dance, but EVERYBODY was dancing at our wedding. Hats off to you, Brian!

Brian Lu/ DJ BLUZ was an exceptional DJ for our cancer fundraiser and I highly, highly recommend him (just as he was highly recommended to me).

He was prompt and professional during the planning phases and punctual on the day-of (which was early on a Saturday!). We provided some technical equipment that wasn't actually ready for use and he troubleshooted the issue independently and efficiently.

Brian chose all of the music for the event and his selections were spot-on. We did not provide any guidance or requests, and his ability to create the perfect playlist was obvious and speaks to his capabilities (i.e., how based on his experiences and knowledge he can predict what would would work well). We had a diverse audience and the event was held outside in a public space early on a weekend. He struck a balance with a mix of songs that resonated with everyone and were appropriate for the setting. The volume was just right - enough to energize participants but also enough in the background that folks could complete the registration process, mingle with others, easily carry on a conversation, etc.. He set an upbeat vibe and without him the event would definitely not have been the same success.

In addition, Brian is a wonderfully pleasant person. It is clear that this is a career for which he is passionate about.

We can not recommend Brian Lu, DJ BLUZ highly enough.

Brian was our wedding DJ in November 2015 and he was AWESOME! Brian's communication was great throughout the entire planning process. We met with him once while we were making our DJ decision. After we hired Brian he came to our venue to do a walk through a month or two before the event. He shared concerns/feedback and gave us a lot of helpful suggestions. Brian asked great questions to determine the best music for our wedding such as what year we graduated high school and our guest demographics. The day of the wedding Brian was on time and very professional. He took us back to our high school days and then on cue switched to club music. He even had great throwbacks that my parents enjoyed. We received so many compliments on the music and dancing and many guests did not want the night to end. Brian also did the sound for our ceremony but I was so focused on getting married that I don't remember the music :) The audio was great and guests seemed to really enjoy the ceremony. Overall, I am really happy we went with DJ Brian and I would definitely recommend him for any event!

Brian did a great job at my June 20 wedding. He asked lots of questions about what my fiancé and I liked and was able to fill in the gaps of what we didn't know. He had great suggestions for our timeline and was able to be flexible with last minute changes.

The music was the perfect complement to our big day, Brian was a tactful announcer and generally lots of fun to have as a DJ! We are so happy to have had him!

The grad party was epic and I have Brian to thank for that! It's been a week and I am still getting comments from guests about the DJ. We had a backyard party and he not only set the mood from beginning to end, but was expert at playing off the energy of the guests and had a bunch of people up and dancing in the daytime! Brian was professional and easy to work with from beginning to end-- he even played an impromptu emcee role during speeches at one point. This was the best money I spent that day, because he was clearly as committed as I was to the guests having a good time. Highly, highly recommended! And I will be hiring him the next chance I get.

DJ was originally scheduled to provide two hours of music, but happy obliged when performance slot was extended to three hours a few days before event date to accommodate our needs. Great song selection that was outside the box without feeling isolating to those unfamiliar with his sound. His vibe fit the mood we hoped to provide event patrons. A pleasure to work with -- would gladly work with him again!

We knew DJ Brian Lu before our wedding and enjoyed his funky beats and versatility of music choices. So we decided we wanted him to DJ our wedding. Brian was great! We had our Fall wedding reception in the evening in a little town on a ranch south of Hollister. You couldn't ask for a better backdrop for our small duo and later DJ. Prior to the date I had provided a list of styles of music we would like and the two songs for special dances. We were very clear we did not want too much kitchy music. Brian was great about letting us know of requests during the wedding in order to make sure we would enjoy it as well. Brian had every single guest, no matter age or music preference dancing until the starts came out. I would recommend Brian to anyone looking for a good straightforward DJ.

Brian really took the time to understand the type of music I wanted for my wedding day. It's still my pleasure to say that my wedding was Brian's first wedding. : ) The dance floor was packed, and my guests told me later how much they enjoyed dancing to the music.

Brian came highly recommended by a friend. Although he is in the Bay Area and our event was in So Cal, I wanted Brian to DJ our wedding because I had heard him at another wedding and I really liked his work. The reception went very smoothly. He played all the songs we had requested and our guests loved all the other songs as well. He came early to set up and stayed until the very end to make sure everyone had a great time. He does everything right to make sure your event is awesome.

We were so happy to have hired Brian to DJ our summer wedding in Palo Alto at the end of July! He was super responsive the whole way through, making extra time to meet with us in person several times including a venue walk-through. Having a great dance party was one of our primary goals for our wedding, since we met as dancers - Brian read the crowd really well and kept the floor packed for almost four hours straight. He also did the audio for our wedding, and it was very crisp and clear. Even people who normally don't dance were coaxed onto the floor and had a blast. We had a pretty big special request list that included ballroom music and Polish pop songs, and Brian kept the energy going. Plus he is just a super nice person.

Brian was great!! He showed up on time and set up all his gear before his time to start. He played popular songs for the audience ( De anza college students) and created a fun vibe for everyone!

Great DJ and great person all around. We used Brian at our wedding and he came thru with everything we asked. He had our dance floor getting down on a hot outdoor summer night. Definitely worth it...

We were working with Brian for months. It was a good relationship, he worked with the owners of the venue to warm them up to the idea of a DJ and eventually earned their trust. Everything was done and agreed upon until he attempted to send the contract through Wedding Wire to realize that he had double-booked our date. We received an apology email and recommendation for a substitute but are now having to go back to the drawing board.
