Subtle Genius

Our experience with Bradley Hanson was exactly what we had sought out for our wedding. Besides being a perfect gentleman and a calm presence on our stressful excitable day, it was as if he disappeared into the rays of sun and captured the best moments of our day without barely even being noticed. His photos delicately but most ardently tell the story of our day, the hidden moments in between, and we are overwhelmed with joy and the love we see in each shot. Bradley’s unique vision for variety, use of lighting and photographic intent are unparalleled.

Glad we interviewd the 4th Photographer, for he was our choice...

Working with Bradley was truly a wonderful experience! I don't love getting my picture taken, however, since our initial meeting I felt comfortable around him and was surprised at how little of concern I had about getting my picture taken by him.

He's like the Wayne Gretzky of photography; he goes where the moment is and captures it ever so naturally. He has a true passion for his art. It's not just a job to him as one can see in the work he creates. There is a sincerity to his photos that will be cherished for years and years.

If you're looking for a photographer chances are that Bradley Hanson is the right one for you. He's very likable, comfortable to be around and brings a sheen of professionalism in his work. I am very grateful we chose Bradley.

One last thing I want to say is that I don't typically leave reviews. I do, however, owe it to those seeking a photographer because Bradley REALLY is that good.

Bradley is an awesome photographer!

We so enjoyed having Bradley as our photographer - he wanted to learn a bit about us prior to our wedding, so it felt like he knew us a little on the actual day of our wedding. He was calm and patient the day of, totally flexible, and best of all, the photos he took are gorgeous. We love them and couldn't be happier that we chose him as our wedding photographer.

Beyond Excellent

Bradley was beyond excellent. He captured our wedding day in a way and with an eye that was so far beyond our expectations, it was almost unbelievable. His eye for detail is incredible, and he was always in the right place at exactly the right time. Some of the moments he captured are truly priceless, and I have no idea how he was able to do it so unobtrusively. I wouldn't consider anyone else for photographing our family events.

Amazingly creative photographer!

Bradley was great! He remained very professional throughout the entire day and evening, and captured amazing shots of the ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Book Him - You won't regret it!

Bradley was absolutely amazing to work with! He captured my dream wedding exactly how I envisioned it and even more. His photography is more of an art - capturing all of the special moments in real life vs staged. Highly recommend him, you won't regret it!

First, let me state that neither my husband nor I enjoy being photographed and struggle to find pictures of ourselves that we like. With that in mind, it was very important to us to have exactly the right photographer for our wedding, and luckily our search brought us to Bradley. He was a pleasure to work with, put us immediately at ease with his process, and documented our day in a way that perfectly captured the feel of the event. We could not be happier with the pictures, or the process, and are thrilled to have so many great pictures of ourselves, our day and our guests. I simply can not say enough good things about Bradley!

Bradley came to us through recommendation of a our original hired wedding photographer who had to cancel close to our big day due to health issues. In swoops Bradley, who took care of us as if he was our original hire! He was so easy to work with and made everyone feel at ease, and has great ability to deal with breaking the ice/ photo phobia with a fantastic sense of humor! The photos were sublime and he caught every special moment we had discussed, and then some! We are still in love with so many its hard to choose from to give as gifts or put on our walls. We cannot recommend Bradley's talented eye and good character enough!!!

We had such a great experience working with Bradley for our wedding. Seeing the finished results, I am so in love with how he captured our day. He was very accommodating and also captured the special moments of family and friends that you don't always see as the bride and groom. I cannot stop looking at the photos and the memories that we will cherish forever. Bradley had a great way of making you feel comfortable and have fun taking photos and just enjoying the day. We hired Bradley Hanson to photograph our wedding day and he did a great job of capture each moment of the day in an intimate way. He is great at candid shots throughout the day and capturing the beauty of the day. The quality of photographs was impeccable and I liked how he shot in film. I highly recommend booking him for your big day!

Bradley is AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. His photos are breathtaking. He floats around the event - and no one even feels him he is so quiet. Yet - he has a magical way of capturing every lovely moment. Highly highly recommend.

Bradley did an amazing job of making the photos of my husband and I look magical. He captured our day beautifully. In addition, many people said our photos looked like they belonged on a magazine cover because the quality was so outstanding. No stereotypical photos from Bradley - only real moments!

I fell in love with the photos on Bradley's website but because of our small budget and less than 2 months for the wedding I didn't think we could hire him. But he was kind enough to oblige. On the day of the wedding, he was at the venue on time and even took additional photos that we hadn't planned. He has captured the vibrancy of the location and the multi-cultural wedding vividly and beautifully. We are thankful to him for so exquisitely recording our memories, that will now be hanging on our walls forever!

He was able to capture numerous photos of my husband and me looking happy and relaxed, and we are not good at posing for pictures! Photographs are a special reminder of your wedding day, and I've had friends who have regretted their particular photographer for their wedding. Bradley Hanson is not that photographer. He will capture heirloom quality photos that you'll be proud to pass down to your grandchildren. If you're still not convinced: My husband says he's Batman with a camera.

The style of images I wanted back from my wedding were genuine, unique and priceless. Bradley delivered exactly that. His style captures so much more than just a picture of your happy day but a beautiful moment you never planned. Nothing was overly posed/staged (just like I wanted) and everyone looked great in them. If you are a fan of a more editorial style and an almost chiaroscuro effect, look no further.

Bradley was amazing from start to finish. We were looking for something a little unconventional but Bradley accommodated us perfectly! The quality was amazing. It was easy to be ourselves in Bradley's presence, and his talent with his craft allowed him to photograph our wedding artfully and naturally. Photos weren't the main event under his leadership, and there was no awkward coaxing into unnatural poses - our wedding unfolded, and he captured it. We treasure our photos and are so glad we made the investment in Bradley. Leading up to and following the wedding, he was communicative and flexible; he has a casual professionalism that is effortless to work with. We highly recommend him!

I can't say enough good things about Bradley Hanson. He's prompt in responding, very communicative beforehand, and takes amazing photos. Bradley was undoubtedly the best choice we could have made for our wedding photographer! He has such a creative eye, and took absolutely stunning and unique photographs of our special day that we'll cherish forever. He was very easy to work with, responsive to emails, flexible when things needed to be adjusted or changed and very helpful when it came to setting up a timeline for our photos. He addressed all our concerns and listened to what we wanted and made suggestions that aligned with our taste.
We hadn't actually had the chance to meet Bradley before our wedding day because we live out of state. He took care of everything very easily via phone and email and I was surprised how well he was able to build a relationship with us, without ever meeting us first! He even took it upon himself to visit our venue before the wedding to get a feel for the space and what he was working with. He made the photo process fun and easy. This was the first time my husband and I have ever had professional photos taken and I was worried it might be awkward, but he made it fun and painless!
Several of my guests commented on how professionally and nice he was dressed. He wasn't distracting to any of the events we had going on, yet he was able to capture all the important moments that we wanted. A true pro! We highly recommend!

Bradley is awesome! He did such a great job of making us (and everybody really) feel comfortable in front of the camera. He has a kind of goofiness when he's working with an individual or group that gets people laughing and having a good time, so all of the "posed" shots that we took turned out great. He also really has an eye for catching unique moments and knows how to blend in to the background to catch that perfect candid shot. And talk about committed! We did some wedding announcement shots with him in the winter before the ceremony; it was maybe 10 degrees outside. He powered through with no gloves and, although we were worried he would freeze to death, never complained about the weather and spent a great deal of time with us getting some excellent shots. Overall, we couldn't be happier!

Bradley Hanson is fantastic! My wife and I hired Bradley's services in the summer to capture every special moment of our wedding. Bradley did an amazing job, capturing the preparations, the ceremony, and the dancing. One of Bradley's most remarkable techniques is blending into the crowd. The photographs he took were incredible! Bradley uses light, shades, and the vibrant colors of nature in a wonderful way. We got 800 high resolution pictures sent to us through Bradley's website and on a disk-on-key through the mail. I would highly recommend Bradley Hanson!

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about Bradley! He was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. He was so easy going, funny, professional, and all of the guests enjoyed interacting with him. We booked him for a shorter amount of time than is typical for a wedding, but he was very flexible and absolutely made the most of the time we had. When we received our pictures just a few weeks later, I was blown away by how great they were and loved every single one! They are so unique and beautiful. He seems to have the ability to be in multiple places at the same time as he was able to capture every important detail of the evening. I don't know how he does it! I couldn't be happier with the entire experience and I absolutely recommend him to everyone looking for a great photographer.

Bradley was wonderful - he was so flexible and I felt that he went out of his way to make my husband and I happy. He was incredibly professional. Most importantly, his pictures were beautiful! Brad has two specific qualities that set him apart from most photographers: 1 A phenomenal photographic eye that allows him to find beauty in the ordinary (and create art that other photographers would miss) and 2 the ability to put introverts like my wife and I at ease during the picture-making process. I particularly enjoyed watching him work with his lovely assistant (and wife) Jackie, who made several excellent suggestions that lead to memorable photographs. I should also mention that while Brad is a master of any format, his black-and-white shots are unparalleled. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Bradley is a unique talent! He expresses every moment of your experience with a calm, confident demeanor, and the results are spectacular. His B&W carries so much more depth and detail. You can almost feel yourself inside the picture when you look at it. Growing up I used to spend hours paging through my parents' wedding photo book, imagining what it was like for them that day, seeing much younger versions of family members than those that I knew, laughing at the powder blue tuxedos... :) I cherished those photos, and still display one of my mom at the ripe age of 22 on her wedding day. I knew when the time came for me to get married, top-notch photography would be high on my priority list. My husband and I were lucky enough to be acquainted with Bradley through a shared hobby (cycling) and had the opportunity to get to know him on several long bike rides. Once we looked through his portfolio, there was no question we wanted him to capture our special day. Our experience with Bradley was perfect. He was prompt, organized and a blessed sea of calm on a sometimes hectic day. He made gentle suggestions for the day's timeline and schedule and was never intrusive. He had a way of putting us at ease and capturing our authentic selves. He caught the important moments and did not over-do the "posed" family photos. He even somehow got both of my young nephews (2 and 4 at the time) to look at the camera and smile- in one take! I can't say enough how special Bradley's photos are to us. I've had several friends get married after us and I have recommended Bradley every time!

My husband and I loved working with Bradley as our wedding photographer. We knew as soon as we met him for an interview that we would be comfortable with him taking on this incredibly important task for us. His classic, beautiful, "fly on the wall" style was just what we wanted. He captured moments that we feel so fortunate to have in both our memory and a beautiful leather bound book he provided for us. We were both a bit camera shy during the wedding, but Bradley was extremely respectful and comfortable to work with. He was never pushy, yet got all the shots that looking back we were so glad to have. He wasn't afraid to get in the middle of the action to get the shot he needed, yet was so professional that nobody would have noticed him there! I highly recommend Bradley for your wedding photographer.

If you want the best, then Bradley is it. From beginning to end, he is easy to work with and the results of going with him was absolutely stunning photographs that we will have forever. He seemed to capture the mood of our whole day and I cannot count the number of compliments we received on how beautiful our pictures were. Could not be happier with our decision to work with Bradley and our expectations were exceeded.

My husband and I were looking for a photographer that would help tell the story that we weren't able to see. Bradley was beyond amazing. There are photos from my wedding that I have no idea how he was able to get, and I'm in the photo and I still don't know how he did it. He's level of professionalism can not be matched. We continue to talk about how much we enjoy our photos and when we learn someone is getting married we make sure they know of Bradley.

Bradley was awesome in every way and a great part of our special day. He's best at capturing the moments that happen throughout the day, we have so many great photos of our guests in conversation and those random, genuine moments that you have a tendency to miss.

Our photos are a treasure and we have great memories of working with Bradley throughout the wedding.

Our Lady of Lourdes and Hewing Wedding

Bradley was very responsive and flexible in figuring out our day of schedule and 'vision' for our photos. On the day of wedding he provided great direction and was inconspicuous during ceremony/reception. The end product he delivered was high quality with great attention to lighting/composition.

I don't love having my picture taken and while we wanted to make sure we captured the event there were a lot of things we didn't want like a ton of time away from our guests taking photos or having a photographer taking pictures of our every move getting ready, but we did want some quick family photos, the ceremony captured, and more candid pictures overall. A friend recommended Bradley and we were really upfront about these things and our budget. He quickly responded and offered a price and a timeline that we were happy with. Closer to the date Bradley helped us work out the full timeline for the day and made some suggestions that made us change our mind about some of things that we additionally didn't want like having him start taking pictures while we finished getting ready so that we had some time to get more comfortable with camera. We trusted his experience and went with it. He is personable, professional, knows when to be direct, can also blend in and takes really beautiful pictures. We were very happy with the outcome.

If you are considering a photography style that is more journalistic and captures those "in the moment" experiences, Bradley Hanson is the way to go. Bradley has a wonderful eye for light and mixes B&W with color beautifully.

We really liked Bradley as our wedding photographer. When I started reviewing photographers for our wedding about a year in advance, Bradley took the time to have a long phone call with me about style, pricing, services and just to chat a little bit.
I am now so happy with both our engagement and wedding photos. We got a lot of candids from before the ceremony and at the reception and so many of our guests commented that they barely noticed he was taking their photos. A good mix of structured shots and not, as we had discussed. I don't care for more traditional wedding photography and I think Bradley's style was a good fit for that.

Bradley took beautiful photos at my wedding in WA in 2005, and then again in 2012 a very important birthday party for an ailing family member in WI. At both events he caught beautiful candids of people connecting and celebrating. For our wedding he did a great mix of color and black and white photos, capturing the beauty of the outdoor setting in Leavenworth as well as the details of the reception--food, table settings, cake.

For both events Bradley made arrangements to travel and was flexible for special requests like different family groups who wanted to use the opportunity to have a family shot.

When I remember my wedding, I remember it largely through the photos Bradley took -- the people, the colors and the happiness of the day. We would use him again in a heartbeat.

Bradley was wonderful. I saw his website and I fell in love with his work and cautiously approached him as I thought he would be way above our budget but he surprisingly was not. We did our engagement pictures with him as well - he was quirky and fun yet professional. Thought ahead to bring his wife's umbrellas as it was cloudy that day and gave us way more than the 3 hours that was scheduled because "we were on a roll." The wedding pictures were amazing. He was so much fun to work with and was everywhere but nowhere at once. Friends commented that he was the least intrusive photographer at a wedding.

Bradley was great to work with, and was very accommodating to make sure we were happy with all the locations we leveraged for various photo shoots during our wedding weekend as well as the types of photos we wanted. He made us feel special but also at ease, and we had a ton of fun with him. We also got the photos very promptly after the wedding. HIGHLY recommend! I know there are lower cost options out there, but Bradley has a ton of experience. The candid shots were our faves. The only feedback I would give is wishing we would have gotten a few more suggestions or direction - we are not sued to getting photos taken!

Bradley took the time to meet with us to take us through his portfolio. He has a great eye taking pictures from different angles, adding shadows, color along with black/white, and adding interest to the photos that really captured the essense of the day. He took an abundance of photos to select from and turned them around onto the site very quickly allowing our family and us to select photos through the site at our leisure. The photos were delivered direct to the house in a very timely and professional manner. I would definitely recommend Bradley Hanson Photography and use him again!

I'd recommend reviewing Bradley's website and portfolio; my fiance and I did and fell in love with his style. Once we connected with Bradley, he was very accommodating and even took the initiative to independently check out our (very remote) venue so he'd have opinions on light and scenery. He's also very personable and non-intrusive on the actual wedding day. The photos turned out beautifully.

Brad was easy to work with and very professional. He was there on time and was able to handle himself without much hand holding. If you have good plan on timing of all the little things happening in your wedding it will help him organize his time better. His pictures are amazing and he was able to do justice to the breath taking location we had.
