Brad is just hands down the best all the way around. We were looking for a Photographer to shoot our wedding and Brad was Recommended to us, and after the first call we knew he was our guy. He has a love for Photography, that shows in his work and personality. It is truly difficult to encapsulate Brad and his work in a short review. My husband and I used Brad for our wedding and the pictures and experience we had we him surpassed every expectation. Amazing Wedding Photos
My husband and I are so glad we went with Brad to photograph our wedding photos! I was looking for someone to capture the beautiful colors of all the flowers and wedding decor and he did not disappoint! He was so easy and fun to work with. I called Brad on a short notice for a elopement wedding for my son and his fiance and he recommended the perfect spot to do the ceremony. Brad took amazing pictures of the bride and groom at the ceremony and after the ceremony he took pictures of each family and everyone loved him. Best Decision.....
There are so many decisions to make when planning a wedding and deciding on a photographer feels like one of the most important details for the day. I can tell you that using Brad for our wedding was one of the easiest and best decisions we made! He was so responsive to our inquiry, he was able to meet our quicker than a normal year timeline, and right away made us feel important and like he was invested in our day. He spent time doing the initial intake call, made it work with our schedules, and didn't rush the conversation but instead really tried to get to know us. Our engagement photo session had to be rescheduled for crazy weather and he was so flexible with this and our location. That day allowed us to really get to know him and how we could all work together on the wedding day. He then also took the time to meet with us again before the wedding to scout out wedding photo locations. He is so relaxed and friendly, we immediately connected with him and knew we had made a great choice. On the wedding day he went above and beyond my expectations. He thoughts of all the photos I hadn't. Made sure we got all those special moments like a first look with the father of the bride, the first look with the groom, and got to get to many locations before we even did the ceremony so that we could all be at cocktail hour. He was so friendly with all our guests and made everyone feel comfortable with capturing our entire day! The next day he even made sure to send us a link with quite a few sample photos of our special day. It gave us a few to have right away and excited to see the whole albums come in later! Because of our wedding timeline our pictures weren't going to come in until after the holidays, but he was so generous and communicative with us after the wedding that he put together a few more family photos for us so that we would have them to give as holiday gifts. The finished work when the final wedding albums came in was flawless. I can't say enough good things about choosing Brad! He has created a lifetime customer in us and we will be back hopefully some day for other life events that he can help capture. You won't be disappointed in choosing Brad to capture your special moments!

He did a simply AMAZING job at our wedding. He is very easy to work with and we had so much fun. He has a wonderful eye for picking out spectacular shots and you can truly see his passion for photography in his work. I'm often the one taking photos and not being in them, but he captured our wedding day so beautifully. I knew we wanted to find a good photographer for our special day, but we found a phenomenal one in Brad! Great work from a great guy!
My wife and I got married in May 2024 in a private ceremony just the two of us. We wanted a photographer to capture our special day, and Brad was highly recommended by many of our friends, so it seemed like an easy decision to choose him. Doing so paid off! Brad made the photoshoot process fun, comfortable, and memorable! He catered to our needs and gave us plenty of recommendations when we needed some creative direction. He arrived early, drove us around to different locations in the Frederick-area to maximize our shoot time, was enthusiastic and super fun to work with throughout the entire shoot, and rendered our pictures quicker than anticipated. The pictures themselves turned out amazing too! We can’t recommend Brad enough for your wedding photography needs!!

Amazing photos and so fun to work with!
We had a great experience working with Brad. He was very professional, showed up for the event well prepared (set up a phone call ahead of time, came the day before to see the lighting, and had us prepare a shot list so we were sure that we got all of the group shots we wanted). He was so much fun to work with and all of our guests loved taking pictures with him. Beyond that, the photos were amazing. They had all the fall colors we were hoping for and he did a perfect job capturing the event!

So grateful for Brad!!
Brad was the perfect photographer for our wedding. He is so funny and friendly and it made posing for pictures feel easy. He knows everything about weddings and was really considerate of us and all of the other moving pieces. There were times when my wife and I felt nervous or emotional and he was an amazing person to have with us during those times. I usually feel really awkward having photos taken and feel nervous about how I will look in them but Brad made sure I wasn’t worried about any of that and the pictures are so special. He helped me when I accidentally picked up leaves and bugs into my dress and was so nice. My family loved his energy and humor, too! I also really can’t say enough how much Brad helped us with planning and how great it was scouting the venue with him. He gave us a lot of ideas for our ceremony that we ended up using. We really felt like Brad was looking out for us and making sure we had an amazing day, and we’re so happy he was a part of it.

I cannot say enough great things about working with Brad throughout my engagement and wedding. He was a photographer for two of my friends weddings, and after seeing his beautiful work and how comfortable he makes you feel, we knew we had to have him for our wedding. We waited to book our wedding venue to make sure Brad was available for that date. My (now) husband and I are not really 'picture people' and the moment we got in front of Brad he immediately make us feel comfortable. I don’t have enough words to say how much we loved having Brad as our photographer. From day 1, he made us feel like we have been friends for a long time. I can't fully emphasize how amazing Brad is to have as a photographer. When we first got engaged, I started seeking out a few photographers that I had in mind from the area. Unfortunately, we couldn't have Brad for our engagement session due to how hot in demand he was (and still is)! However, after we decided to elope, Brad was on board for it all from the beginning. He is basically whatever you need while also being his most authentic and genuine self! We're so thankful to have had him join us on our day and wouldn't want it any other way. After moving up to Frederick last year, it meant a lot being able to hire a local photographer. Brad Barnwell was an excellent choice for a photographer. From engagement shoot, to rehersal, to the big day, he was fun, energetic, helpful, and attentive. On top of all of that the quality of the photos is just amazing. We are so thrilled with how they came out and the moments he was able to capture. We have goofy photos, model photos, and loving photos, all aspects of our relationshop were captured. Brad is an all-around great photographer and human being! He is amazing to work with professionally and is a great to have casual conversations with. He made our wedding day perfect with his photography and people skills.
First, Brad is an AMAZING photographer. He takes gorgeous shots and clearly knows his craft. He is extremely thorough in his work and takes care and attention to ensure that every moment is captured. He helped us scope out a few places to take photos a few weeks before the wedding. He even came up with contingency plans in case of bad weather (which we ended up using as it rained for part of our wedding day). His skill and love for photography shines through his composition and framing of EVERY shot. He is very knowledgeable and is very skilled in his field of photography. We just received a few samples of our photos, and they are STUNNING. The skill and talent behind each shot perfectly captures the moment. We are beyond thrilled with how beautiful our photos turned out and can’t wait to see the rest of them.
Second, Brad is extremely professional when it comes to the business side of things. He was very attentive and communicative with us throughout the entire wedding process. Before we booked with Brad, we set up a virtual meet up to get to know each other and we instantly clicked. Brad is so personable and likes to connect with his clients. He made both of us feel at ease and was able to easily validate and address any concerns or comments we had. On the advice of some other married friends, they recommended we make shot list of pictures we would like to have on the day of the wedding. We made one and gave it to Brad and he took the list and ran with it and went above and beyond our expectations. Not only were the pictures that we wanted to be taken captured, but also, he brought fresh and unique ideas to take some stunning photos that we will greatly treasure. Throughout the wedding day, Brad had conversations with all our wedding party and guests. Everyone adored Brad and said that he relieved some anxieties by being so bubbly and positive. Additionally, Brad helped us come up with the ideal timeline for our wedding day. We had no clue what we were doing so we relied heavily on Brad’s expertise in developing the timeline. He completely ROCKED it. With the help of his guidance, he made sure to keep us on track for time and ensured that we were able to enjoy our day.
Lastly, due to our requests, we asked for a second photographer and had the pleasure of working with Amber (Twelve Lines Studio), who he recommended. Both were fabulous to work with and could not speak more highly of both. Clearly, they worked phenomenal together and were able to capture all of the moments from our perfect day.

My husband and I are not the most photogenic people however Brad made us feel 100% comfortable and directed us through all the pictures. He was also a superstar at our wedding, making sure everyone knew where to go, timing, etc. (he was better then our actual wedding coordinator!). He was able to create so many breathtaking and unique images and really captured the essence and feeling of our day in his photos. I had SOOO many compliments about him and his professionalism. Needless to say, we plan to use Brad for all our future photo needs!!!

I would highly recommend Brad and his services. Not only did Brad do a phenomenal job with our photography, but he also was involved in the coordination of our day. He attended our rehearsal and was with us every step of the way. He cares a lot and is very passionate about what he does. He went above and beyond what I’ve ever seen a wedding photographer do. A wedding day highlight!
Brad was flexible from the beginning with our last minute request for portraits after a courthouse wedding in downtown Frederick. We chose Frederick as one of the cuter towns in Western MD for a casual wedding ceremony - and Brad knew all the photogenic corners of town. Walking around taking photos with him for an hour was honestly a highlight of the day - he kept us moving so we never had to overthink a location or pose, and verbalized exactly what he was trying to achieve, and was quick to help us with a few random ideas of our own. There is so much to do over weddings and finding the right dress, and hair, etc. that it's so relieving having someone else take charge of documenting the day. On top of that, Brad seemed to know all the local restaurant owners, real estate gossip and ghost tales, so we got a free tour out of the deal. In terms of flexibility, he arrived early and got a few great shots of the ceremony that we really appreciate in retrospect, and offered to keep going after our hour was up despite a full day ahead. You can tell he really loves what he does and was a pleasure to spend part of our day with. Thanks again for your guidance, enthusiasm, professionalism and speedy photo delivery!

Giving Props
Gotta give props to Brad. He is kind, accommodating, nice and he makes a tremendous effort to get to know his clients beforehand. His professionalism and calm demeanor made my wedding day to my husband special, despite the ceremony being conducted during a global pandemic. My husband and I married a few weeks ago on October 28 at the Frederick County Courthouse. Though the courthouse is not a fancy venue, Brad in my opinion, captured the beauty and essence of the magical moments that were displayed that day.
I like to add that my husband is not photogenic nor does he like to take pictures but Brad and his personality allowed my husband to feel at ease. I am amazed how comfortable my husband look in the photos and for that, I give Brad props. :-D. Brad brings people joy because you know how much he loves to take photos. It was a pleasure meeting Brad and I look forward to booking future sessions.

10/10 wedding photographer is 3/3 with my family
Brad photographed my older sister's wedding, my older brother's wedding, and most recently, mine -- in other words, a hat trick! After having worked with Brad previously and seen the results, my fiancée (well, wife now...!) and I both agreed we wanted Brad at our wedding. In fact, it was the *first* decision we made about our wedding...like, a half hour after she accepted my proposal. Requesting Brad was a complete no-brainer, and we were extremely fortunate that he obliged.

Spring 2020 Pandemic Wedding
We used Brad for our spring 2020 wedding in Frederick, MD. The date was a couple months after the start of the pandemic, and Brad was extremely flexible with us while we worked out last minute details and changed our plans. We were extremely appreciative that he catered to our needs and made things as easy as possible.
Brad is an excellent wedding photographer for many reasons. He makes an effort to get to know couples before their big day, through an engagement photoshoot that is part of his standard package and by following us on social media. He is creative and artistic and just all around a really talented photographer. He did an amazing job incorporating the picturesque landscapes into our photos and really captured the essence of our day. He also made sure we received a sample of photos soon after the event and delivered the full set of photographs within his stated timeframe. We’ve received so many compliments from friends and family regarding how stunning our pictures look!
We cannot say enough about how much of a pleasure it was to work with Brad and we would highly recommend him for any event.

I could not have asked for a better photographer than Brad. Really. Even our friends, all of whom are already married, said "I wish I could get married again so Brad could be our photographer." No kidding. I had less than 6 weeks to plan a wedding, I had no idea what I was doing, and I had no idea what I really wanted (with the exception of a few idea-board style thoughts in my head). Brad turned all of my wishy-washiness AND all of my demands into the most magical day and the most incredible wedding album I could have ever hoped for. He helped us with logistics, he asked tough questions (and guided us to ask tough questions) to our vendors that we never would have thought of, and he made us feel so incredibly comfortable with the entire process. When it came to the day of? He BEYOND exceeded our expectations. He was directive but flexible, he was comforting but also put us in uncomfortable positions that later turned out to be PERFECT, he managed to both fade into the background when it made sense and also stood out front and got people's attention when it made sense, and most of all...he was just plain FUN! Our guests loved him, our family loved him, and at the end of the day when we got our pictures back, the camera loved US. As someone who has hated the way she's looked in pictures her entire life, that's a sentence I never thought I'd be saying.

Hands down best photographer out there!!!
Choosing Brad to capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. There are so many photographers to choose from, and to my untrained eye, all of their sample photos looked nice. So I asked around and a friend of mine recommended Brad. She was a photography major in school and said just the opposite of me, choosing a photographer for her was hard because she knew so much about what she liked and what she didn’t like. THANK GOODNESS she sent us to Brad’s page. I instantly fell in love with the photos, the lighting, the creativeness- there was just something I knew I loved about them.
Well if that wasn’t good enough, we contacted Brad, while we were both traveling in different states to discuss his availability. He set up a conference call with us one evening and got to know us for awhile, creating that personal connection.
He shot our engagement photos, came to our rehearsal to get a feel for things, spent the entire wedding day with us and has become a friend :) we LOVE our photos. Sometimes I can’t believe they’re really us! We received so many compliments from our wedding guests about Brad, how professional and personal he was. He captured every minute perfectly and engaged with the guests by making them feel so comfortable and included. He even helped me in creating the wedding day timeline and worked with the band to help make sure the day stayed on track.
A genuine and great guy with an incredible eye and artistic ability. So easy to work with. 100% recommend to anyone looking for great photos for a special event in their lives. We will for sure be going back to Brad for future family photos!

The Best Photographer EVER!
I met Brad about a little over 6 years ago when he was my sister's wedding photographer. I was amazed at how nice, energetic and fun Brad was. He has a way of making everyone he meets feel at ease and like you've known him forever. At that moment I told him "when I get married you will be my photographer!"
Sure enough once I got engaged I booked Brad. While we got compliments on the food, our venue and the band the most popular compliment we received was about Brad! People were amazed at how fun Brad was and how he seemingly never ran out of energy. He was out on the dance floor singing along while taking the best action shots.
As an event planner myself, it was hard for me to turn off my event planner brain and just relax. Brad served not only as my photographer, but essentially as my planner. His presence allowed me to take a step back and really enjoy my wedding day.
As if it couldn't get any better, the final photos are just amazing! I still continue to receive compliments every time I post more photos.

Where do I begin?
Brad was hands-down the best vendor we worked with for our entire wedding. From the day of our initial consult, we knew we had a match. My wife and I literally walked out of his office, looked at each other, and simultaneously said "he's the one."
His style, demeanor, and the way he can put a nervous couple at ease made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. He was great with our family for group shots.
Even with the birth of his twins coming just a couple months before our wedding, he managed to make it all run flawlessly. He had a backup photographer lined up in case he wasn't available, and even took us out for drinks to meet her to make sure she was a good fit in the event he wasn't able to make it.
What impressed me the most was his day-of "wrangling" skills. between our families, we had so many groups we wanted shot, and he was able to pull it off without missing a beat. We got all the different locations we'd hoped to on a very truncated timetable between the ceremony and the reception. He was just perfect.
We can't say enough about Brad, and have already convinced two of our friends to use him this year.

We cannot say enough positive things about Brad! He made our wedding experience absolutely incredible. He is professional, passionate, and attentive to his work. His photography skills are just fantastic, and he has an eye for coming up with unique shots that are not only beautiful, but one of a kind. Brad was able to come with us for our venue walkthrough to scout possible shot locations, and also for our rehearsal. His fun personality and sense of humor put us all at ease, and made the day that much more special. We ended up getting a second shooter with our package, and Amber was just as wonderful! Brad is the perfect wedding photographer. He is personable, professional, warm, and super experienced. Our family members (who aren't even local) told me they would be requesting him for their weddings. He did an exceptional job at making my husband and I feel at ease, and he flawlessly pulled off amazing wedding photos. When we arrived at the Jefferson Memorial in DC for wedding photos, we realized it was under construction with tons of scaffolding (oops). Highly Recommend! Brad is the BEST!
I knew long before I even met my husband that on my wedding day, Brad would be the photographer. He came into my life at my older sister's wedding in 2012. Brad was immediately like family. He fit right in, was easy to talk to, and a fun addition to the party all while being super professional. Brad went on to shoot my older sister's maternity photos, another sister's engagement photos, and her wedding soon after- each time blowing our minds with his talented eye for getting the best photos.
Finally when it was my turn, Brad was a no brainer. While taking our engagement photos, Brad spent the day with us as we traveled all around Fells Point and Federal Hill to our favorite spots. He even found us tickets to an Orioles game so we could complete our vision of a Baltimore themed shoot. Before the wedding, Brad made it a priority to tour the venue with us to be sure he knew our hopes and wishes for the big day and where all the best spots for photos would be. Brad also met with our coordinator that day and brought up questions and scenarios that had not even crossed my mind.
On the day of the wedding, Brad was more than a photographer. He stepped up and did whatever he could to help us, our families, and the bridal party. Brad was helping with dresses, ties, flowers, decor, and much more. It was easy to see that Brad genuinely wanted us to have the best day of our lives. During our wedding reception, there was a 20 minute period, where a guest had caused a scene near the dance floor. It was Brad who knew to take us away from the craziness so we could have a moment to ourselves to regroup and remember what the day was all about. We will never be able to thank him enough for all that he did to support us that day and for the absolutely beautiful images he captured. We will cherish them forever. Brad is truly the best of the best.

From the moment I saw Brad's work I knew I wanted him to be apart of our journey. Brad was nothing short of encouraging, accommodating, and dependable. He was very professional throughout the whole experience while making us feel like he was apart of the family or a best friend. Without even being asked Brad captured moments I didn't even think about or speak about before hand.

Brad seized the day and had us feeling confident for our photos. He has a great eye and scoped out unique and beautiful spots in advance to photograph us in. Captures the joy and romance of your big day!
Brad is amazing to work with and we loved every minute. He was able to capture the joy and romance of our day with a modern twist. From the moment we started talking with Brad, he worked to see what was important to us for our big day. He asked questions from everything about the vibe to our level of stress. Artist and master of his craft
My husband and I hired Brad as our photographer for our wedding in March 2019. From the very beginning it was clear that Brad understood and could articulate our vision better than we could. The conversation was always easy and felt like we were building our vision together – very organic. He was extremely personable and professional throughout the entire process. He added an element of fun to an otherwise stressful activity.
Brad also went above and beyond in our engagement photoshoot. Being a gay couple our proposal was unorthodox. My husband had proposed about a year earlier but I wanted to propose to him as well. I told Brad that I wanted to use the engagement photoshoot to surprise my husband with my proposal. Not only was he onboard to take the action shots, but he was just as excited as I was and helped me pull it off without a hitch. He even came up with the code word we would use right before I took a knee! The photos from this shoot blew us away and shattered our expectations.
Following the engagement shoot we had full confidence that he was going to get amazing shots, both staged and candid, throughout our wedding. He did not disappoint! Brad is a true artist. He got shots we would have never thought to take in locations we would have never thought to take them. He took one silhouette photo that is so well composed that it would be better to call it a work of art than a wedding photograph.
Brad's talents go beyond photography. He even took control to help coordinate the event. He ensured we were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. He wrangled family members and friends to make sure there were where they needed to be so we would get the photos we wanted.
There aren’t enough words to say how much we enjoyed working with Brad, how impressed we were by him every step of the way, and how much we would recommend him to anyone. You would be a FOOL not to hire Brad.

Brad photographed our wedding in June 2019 as well as so many family and friends weddings. Brad traveled all the way to Colorado to photograph our wedding. I think Brad is very affordable for the services given. He works so well with everyone else during the wedding and even helped us with our rehearsal when our day of coordinator couldn't be there the day before. We love Brad as much more then just a photographer. He has genuine fun at weddings and you can tell he fully enjoys his time. My husband and I got married on May 18 ,2019 and Brad was our photographer. As soon as I started wedding planning, I knew I wanted to have Brad as our photographer as he has photographed so many peoples special life events that my husband and I know and his work is amazing. After initially reaching out to Brad, he wanted to set up a FaceTime call with us to get to know us better before we booked him and for us to do the same. He was so personable and professional and my husband and I knew we had to book him immediately.
Over the course of the following year, Brad would check in with me to see how planning was going and provided me with templates and examples to use to plan our photographer shot list and “Run of Show” for the wedding. I was my own wedding planning, so this helped me out so much! A month or so before our wedding (we live in different states so only time we could coordinate to do this) Brad met with us and we did a walk through of all of the possible places we could get photos in the day of our wedding.
It really helped me visualize what I wanted and it was nice to spend quality time with our photographer and for us all to feel comfortable working with each other. Brad went above and beyond the entire year before our wedding and it didn’t stop there!
On the evening of our rehearsal, Brad attended to understand how the flow of the ceremony would be and ultimately took on the role of photographer and wedding coordinator. My husband and I along with our wedding party really had no clue how the rehearsal was supposed to go and for the first 20+ minutes were all just standing around (our venue didn’t provide an organizer). As soon as Brad got there he took the lead and lined up people and gave pointers to when everyone should walk in per our music and really saved the evening! To follow our rehearsal Brad even came to our rehearsal dinner and photographed all those special moments and got to know our family and friends. Brad did not have to come to the rehearsal dinner as this was not something we paid him to do, but he yet again went above and beyond and ended up providing us with a sleuth of additional photos I will cherish forever!
On the day of our wedding Brad hit the nail on the head again and surpassed all of our expectations. The photos Brad took were exceptionally beautiful and showcased the love my husband and I have so well. He was so easy to work and stayed later upon our request to photograph more of our reception. Brad is the best photographer I have ever met. His work is top notch and he goes out of his way to make sure your special day runs effortlessly.My cousin (who was in my wedding party) is getting married in 2020 and both her and her fiancé were so impressed with Brad have now booked him for their wedding! Both my husband and I would recommend Brad to anyone looking for a photographer to capture beautiful photos of a special moment or moments in their lives!

Brad is our hero!
For two camera shy, ultra private people, Brad came into our lives and now we never want him to leave! Brad has a natural, effortless way of making even the most nervous brides (and there were two) feel comfortable.
Brad is intuitive and insightful and puts your photography goals at the forefront of his mind and then delicately brings you back to them when you forget (ex: “let’s do a sparkler photo because you wanted one, I know you are tired, but this will be worth it,” and it was).
He is a creative, artistic, talented professional who is warm, kind and easy going. He’s also really fun.
Brad is affirming for the LGBTQIA population. He is accepting, open, cool and kind. Not everyone at our wedding supported us, and Brad was quick to assess and mitigate much of the tension that was present. He quickly picked up on these things and rescued, helped, and assisted the people that needed it. Including us at times!
We will use Brad for every major life moment we want to capture because we trust him, and because he is so incredibly talented.

The best decision you’ll ever make (besides marrying the love of your life)!
Brad was the first vendor we hired when planning our wedding. We had worked with him in the past for family portraits, and for professional headshots, and knew instantly that he was the one to document our wedding day. It was our absolute pleasure/honor getting to work with him on such an important day for us. He came by our rehearsal dinner to meet the bridal party and family, and everyone instantly felt comfortable/at ease with him. It made the next day run so much smoother when it came time to do family photos, and made the process so fun/enjoyable despite how cold it was outside. I cannot stress enough how thoughtful and caring Brad was to every single one of our needs, and took on additional tasks to ensure the day went on without incident. When it came to who was going to photograph our wedding, there was no doubt in my mind it was going to be Brad. He not only is an amazing photographer, but his personality, professionalism and attention to detail are just a few of the qualities that make him amazing. Like bringing a crochet needle to button up the back of my dress with ease, or getting the thirsty bride and groom a necessary drink :) He goes above and beyond because he genuinely cares about your special day. Brads talent is second to none...he has photographed my sister’s, my best friend’s and my very own wedding, and every time I have been more than impressed. He is creative, passionate and so much fun to work with. We flew Brad out to Colorado to shoot our mountain wedding and we are SO glad we did!! Brad Barnwell is a fabulous photographer and a magician. He is extremely detailed oriented, experienced, and well organized. We met several times, walked through the venue, and helped with the rehearsal too. Every detail was planned, including the timeline and wishlist of photos. He goes above and beyond! He stepped in when our reception started to go array and assisted as any problems came up. He spent the whole day with us, taking countless photos, and jumping in to help. Best Photographer in Frederick - you won't want anyone else, promise!
I cannot imagine our wedding without Brad! His photography skills are amazing and his ideas are always fun and innovative. The added bonus is that Brad has a wonderful personality - he is such a thoughtful and caring person who knows how to have a good time! Our bridal party absolutely loved having him around, he immediately meshed with everyone and became part of our crew- I even had guests take photos with him because he's just that fun and they felt like he was part of the guest list and not "just the photographer". He is beyond talented and so very good at timelines- he essentially acted as my coordinator, making sure we were on time -without stressing me out. I highly suggest him for any and all events, he'll make sure he gets the shots you want as well as so many you'd never think of asking for -which will end up being your favorites! My absolutely favorite thing is that Brad gives you ALL the photos, you get to see the moments between the poses and not just the perfect shots, it gives a more realistic perspective of the event - all the tiny moments that lead up to something are caught. Makes my heart happy to see those in-between moments that you wouldn't otherwise capture and may not remember if he hadn't snapped the picture. Dude is worth his weight in gold, my husband and I could not be happier - and my guests are stoked to have acquired a new friend!

Best photographer out there by far! It was pouring on our wedding day and Brad still managed to show up, a head of schedule, which was such a comforting feeling! He made the best of weather and got some unbelievable shots! At the end of the day, we are glad it rained on our wedding day because of our photos. He rolled with the punches the day, and we, gave him. We did not know Brad before but we now consider him a close friend. Just because the wedding has passed, we have not lost touch. First of all, our wedding photos turned out top notch. After all, when you hire a photographer, that's probably the first thing you look for. Prices were in the ballpark with everyone else too. Secondly, Brad goes way above and beyond what you'd expect from him to. The fact that he did scouting for spots to shoot on his free time really impressed us. We also didn't have a wedding planner or anything, so he played a key part in the coordination of our wedding day. On a personal note, he's a great guy, all of our guests loved him, and he really seemed to enjoy the wedding as much as we did. Like I said before, he really went the extra mile for us and would highly recommended him.

If you are getting married.. Find a nice location/food/music/etc. You can try and get bargains on these items because, hey, it will be a blurr to you and your bride/groom anyway, and man it goes quick. It's over in a blink of an eye. One thing you should not go cheap on is your photographer. He/she is the only person who will perpetuate one of life's most important moments. When you speak of value-for-value, a photographer is not just someone who walks around and snaps a bunch of selfies and posts them to "Your Story".... They coordinate and herd a bunch of headless chickens, who are most likely tipsy and off having their own fun during these moments, they are constantly manipulating the environment and seeing where a picture will fuse an endless memory, they are constantly processing weather, its effects, and "what's next if it rains..." -kind of moments, and after its all said and done.. they spend hours upon hours editing these pictures, tuning them to perfection so that their customer is left breathless for years to come. One person who you can count on to give you this value-for-value is Brad Barnwell. I owe this man more than the check we ripped for him. His enthusiam and dedication blew me away. He was more than our photographer.. He was our planner, coordinater, bartender, body guard, councillor, and now our friend. Never been more happy to have him preserve our memories. While working on the typical wedding pic gifts the first Christmas after the wedding, I cant help but notice my pictures are anything but typical : ) i found the perfect heartfelt pic for each person. Brad was excellent from the start to the very end. We were of course looking forward to our wedding, but to have it all documented for the rest of our lives was daunting. When I first met with Brad, it seemed like we were on the same page with everything. I felt like he understood my concerns, the photography style, and over all flow of the day. Then we had a huge change, a venue change. It wasn't an issue at all when I told Brad (hence the 5 star flexibility) and I couldn't be happier with how accommodating he was. I decided to do the pre wedding photos (something I always imaged I feel very uncomfortable doing) and I had a blast. I would also recommend doing first looks. He seriously knows know how to capture the moment and pick the most creative shots and locations. I also felt at ease during what I imaged to be the most stressful moment of my premarital life. An important factor that i have to add is, there was a huge thunderstorm on our wedding day. After looking at our photos, I am actually happy we had that added element. Brad really made lemonade out of the inclement weather with some awesome photos. Time management is also a huge factor and it felt very organized and organic. We were able to do the traditional family portraits, bridal party and groomsman shots, and just the newlywed photos. He was a huge help with the whole flow of the day and staying on our time schedule. To top it off, our photos were given to us in a timely manner and even the wedding guests were giving us complements about his work. I'm so glad we picked Brad and couldn't imagine our wedding without him!

I can’t count how many times a wedding guest came up to me and asked “who is your wedding photographer? He’s amazing!” Brad not only took stunning photographs, but his superb energy and magic abilities to find people (seriously, we needed someone who was missing for a group shot, and Brad disappeared into the crowd and came back with our missing person in tow in seconds) made our day perfect! He took the most amazing pictures I have ever had taken, and was able to do it quickly and with such ease that all of us getting pictures taken were able to relax and enjoy the process. Brad was so helpful with remembering the details that were important to us and making sure he got all of the pictures we wanted. He was present for us on such an important day of our lives and felt like family before we even got started. We know we would not be disappointed when we hired Brad. We saw him at a wedding before we were engaged and he made such an impression on us. He met with us multiple times before the wedding even coming to the venue and rehearsal to ensure everything would go smoothly the day of. I was lucky enough to know Brad prior to him being our photographer for our wedding but Luke (my husband) met him for the first time during our engagement session and they instantly became friends too! Brad is incredibly passionate, and makes sure you get what YOU WANT. He has a lot of great ideas when you aren't sure what you want. A really great guy to work with, he did things efficiently, met with us before the wedding, at the rehearsal, and was there the whole time for our day. He went out of his way during the reception to take photos for guests and make sure the bride and groom got all the photos we wanted. He is professional, super diligent shutterbug and awesome to work with, what a great guy! We cannot recommend Brad enough.

There are so many wonderful things to say about brad and his incredible talent and passion he showed us through our whole wedding experience! Our photos are absolutely beautiful! But brad also stood out for his kindness and compassion he has to make your vision come true and goes above and beyond to make it perfect! From our first appointment, we left feeling as if we known him for years, from our engagement session to our wedding day and until even today, brad goes above and beyond. Brad is phenomenal! Absolutely! My wedding was a laid back court house wedding and I thought I wouldn't be stressed out - wrong! But the second Brad got there while I was getting my hair and makeup done, he exudes this calm and fun energy. He's just like the friendliest and funniest guy. Every time I would start to get stressed it's like he'd notice and crack a joke, say something profound to calm me down. On top of all that... my pictures... wow. The shots were stunning. From the posed shots to the candid shots. Everything was perfect - and it was drizzling and grey outside! But you'd never know from the smiles on our faces.

Brad is an amazing photographer that is local to our area. We've been to many weddings where he has been the photographer and fell in love with his work! When my fiance and I got engaged it was no question we would be using Brad! He is flexible, open to ideas, and is genuinely excited about each and every opportunity to take wonderful pictures. Brad is extraordinary in all he did for us as a couple. We kept in contact to discuss what we wanted to see on our wedding day, what was expected, etc. Brad truly worked to produce the vision we had for the ceremony and reception. He stepped in and ran our rehearsal so my now husband and I could focus on the ceremony. The day of the wedding Brad did everything from flower-girl wrangling, keeping me (as the bride) calm, entertaining my bridesmaids by doing yoga in the hotel room, being a gift delivery man to my groom, being a liaison between the event coordinator/DJ/bride/groom and wow-ing the guests with his overall awesome abilities, all while taking beautiful pictures!! There is much more that could be said about Brad, but not enough time or space. Overall, Brad is AMAZING. He is now our official family photographer. Hire this man before he is too busy!

Brad has an insane amount of energy and charisma. Your photographer is by your side during the entire event. I saw how he rocked my friend's wedding so I knew I had to have him for ours. Brad not only took amazing photos but he is so much fun to be around. He surpassed all that was expected of him by far!

Brad Barnwell Photography exceeded my highest hopes and expectations. Not only did Brad capture timeless photos of my favorite day ever, he coordinated the event - keeping everyone on time and at the right place without once being overbearing or acting annoyed. He has a fantastic personality and it's impossible to feel like you haven't known him for years. Truly a charming individual. Brad was truly the guiding light on our big day. I can't say enough about Brad and how he was the absolute best choice for our wedding. He made the whole process fun and easy and the photos are amazing! He has the best eye for lighting and composition and the color he uses in his photos always pop and make the scene so vibrant! My family and friends all had one thing to say about our wedding, and that was "who was your photographer? He was awesome!" Rest assured that we will be recommending him to anyone who will listen for many years to come.

Brad was nothing less than PHENOMENAL! From the moment we met him, to our engagement photos, to our wedding day, he was perfect. I felt like I went to college with him, or have been friends with him for years. He made me so calm and relaxed on our wedding day. I could not have asked for a better photographer. Not only is he personable and friendly, he is extremely professional and takes the time to explain his thinking behind each shot. He also sent me and posted 68 photos the MORNING AFTER OUR WEDDING!! Most people get teasers of 1 or 2 shots..we got 68!!! His photography is stunning and I know I will never need to hire another photographer for any other life events. He is HIGHLY recommended!

Brad shot our wedding last weekend, and OMG! He is amazing! He seemed to be having an absolute blast working with us, and we had so much fun with him. He is genuinely awesome, and goes the extra mile to get amazing pictures. I am truly blown away at his samples alone. It's obvious this is what he loves to do, and he made it so special for us. Where do I begin?! Brad exceeded our expectations as being the best wedding photographer we could have asked for, and choosing him was the best decision we made. First, and most important, Brad is beyond talented and has a great eye for detail, his pictures capture you in the moment - they are so real, nothing feels forced or staged. I could not be happier with the pictures we have that I will treasure for the rest of my life, they are so beautiful and full of life. We have received so many compliments! Second, Brad is so personable! Within minutes of meeting him for the first time, I felt like I was sitting and chatting with my friend. I knew before the end of that initial meeting that he would be our photographer, I just knew he would be a pleasure to work with. And, I was right! He was so fun, dancing with everyone at the reception, he even joined us at the rehearsal and dinner the night before - Brad was part of the party. He maintained professionalism along with an easy-going demeanor that I appreciated throughout my wedding day (he even politely insisted that I eat the morning of the wedding, which was really sound advice!) Last, if you even need more reasons at this point, he is reasonably priced. He is the best. I HIGHLY recommend Brad as a photographer for EVERYTHING. He will no doubt be shooting for us again in the future. Thank you Brad for sharing your amazing talent with us!

Choosing Brad as our photographer was one of the best decisions that we made in planning our wedding! From day one, Brad was responsive, accommodating, professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. You can tell that he loves what he does and wants to make your day perfect - he even went to visit the wedding venue with us beforehand to discuss photo ideas and come up with a game plan as to best use our time on the wedding day.
