Niko has been so flexible and accommodating. We found out we were expecting a baby close to our wedding day and he was more than happy to move the dates around for us. He is very enthusiastic and very good at what he does! -

Great experience, amazing final product
Had a great experience with Niko! He was more than happy and willing to travel to Tampa to film my wedding and was such a blast to be around. His high energy helped my wedding come to life. The final product that he delivered to me was better than I could have ever imagine and I will recommend him to anyone who asks! -

When we met Niko we could tell he was a really fun person. When he came to our wedding he was a hit with all of our guests as well! Everyone enjoyed his presence. He got our teaser video back to us pretty quickly and it was a lot of fun. It took us quite a while to get our highlight video back to us, about 8 months, and there were some issues we had with communication, but at the end of it all our final product was really beautiful and we came to an honest understanding. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect highlight video. I will say, if you want your raw video of your ceremony straight on, no artsy shots, verbalize that with him so you can be on the same page. -

When looking for a videographer, we were so excited to go with BOF. We wanted a more documentary-style wedding video instead of the normal "moving slideshow put to music," and we were excited about Niko's interest in documentary-style film and his studies at NYU. Niko was fun to work with, and was game to come all the way to Delaware for our wedding. And, frankly, his rates were great. We could have afforded more, but we were excited to work with a young artist with a passion for the type of film we were looking for.
At the wedding, Niko was super fun! He kept the room light, and killed it with his dancing at the end of the reception. We enjoyed his company a lot! The highlight film was also really fun when it rolled around!
Unfortunately, our video was pretty late. We ended up pinging Niko a couple of times about where our video was. Maybe we should have just waited patiently, because once we received the video, we were a bit disappointed. A lot of the transitions are a bit choppy, and unfortunately the camera moved a lot during our vows. And, while BOF used more audio from the day (our vows, some of the toasts) than traditional wedding videos, we still would have liked to see more documentary elements, like interviews.
I'll take part of the blame, as we were so frustrated by the video that we didn't reach out to Niko with our feedback and request a second edit within the allotted time under our contract. (We never did reach out to him with edits, as I don't feel like it would be fair to ask for them after our time has passed.)
Overall, I'd give our experience with BOF a 3.5/5. I still think BOF and Niko have a TON of potential to be an amazing wedding videographer. He's so creative and clearly has an eye for good shots and a lot of passion for what he does. The big areas that we feel need improvement are professionalism--including communication (like being on time with videos or clearly communicating when you're running behind, before the client reaches out to you)--and editing (as far as smoothing out transitions, especially audio transitions). -

I selected Niko because I truly loved his videos. He is very talented, there is no doubt. We met twice before the wedding, he arrived on time and recorded the big day. A couple of months or so I check in… he is still working on it, but says it’s almost done. Check in again… almost done. The dates kept slipping. Finally one day at 4am I get an apologetic text that he lost all the footage. He went out of town, left his car unlocked in public parking with his laptop in it. It was stolen… with all my footage. Nothing was backed up, the SD card deleted. The many irresponsible steps that lead to this still amaze me today from someone who runs a business. My friend who has legal experience also researched him and found he wasn’t fully registered to do business… that’s neither here nor there. I was heartbroken and quite honestly still am. He assured me from that point on he will back up footage for future events. Apparently there was another couple whose footage he lost… Niko is talented, but communication wasn’t great throughout the process. He is nice, but I can’t recover anything now… we came to a financial agreement and let it go. I hope this is a learning experience for him…. -

His portfolio nowhere near matched the awful quality of what we received. We are very very unhappy that we now have a video that we can’t use to share with our loved ones. My wife pleaded with him to re-edit the video so he did, and what he gave to is was just as bad as the first version. After asking for a refund because of the misrepresentation of his talents, the lack of use of drone footage (contract stated drone footage) and his lack of respect, we were told his “Accounting Team” declined this request. So now I have taken on the duty of making sure this guy doesn’t approach anyone else and promise them a beautiful video, because he obviously does not have the talent for this type of shooting and it too coward to make it right.
I think it should be known how insensitive he was to seriously start our wedding video with my husband being referenced as "hotwheels" .. he could have left that whole version out. How insensitive to START the video with my husband being referenced like that when he is in a wheelchair.
Please see the difference in drone footage and my wedding day. The green grass and foliage from my wedding day is completely gone from the drone footage from months after going back to get the footage. I have drone "FALL" footage from a "Summer" wedding. -
