We had our wedding ceremony in Foster’s Pavilion at the Boston Harbor Hotel. It was a beautiful spot for a wedding ceremony and they worked with us to accommodate our large guest count. Amanda from the events team did an incredible job at making sure the day of the wedding ran smoothly!! Would definitely recommend having an event at BHH -

Boston Harbor Hotel is the perfect venue for a Boston wedding!
The Boston Harbor Hotel made my wedding day dream come true! Picking a venue is probably the most difficult decision when it comes to planning a wedding. If you are considering the Boston Harbor Hotel, do not look elsewhere. Ted Daniels, is amazing! He is super responsive, considerate, and he executed our wedding day in the most perfect way I could have imagined! From the tasting, to the menu options, and picking out the chairs and linens – Ted will be there to guide you through the process. Ted understands every intricate detail and will make your wedding day dream come true. I had mentioned to Ted I really loved swiss dot and that was arranged for on my cake! He understands how stressful weddings can be to plan and does his best to arrange and accommodate for anything. If you choose to have your wedding day at the Boston Harbor Hotel it will be the best decision of your life and you will not regret it. I am so lucky to call the Boston Harbor Hotel my wedding venue! -

We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Ted Daniels and the wonderful team at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Our original wedding had to be rescheduled three times due to COVID-19, and throughout this process, Ted handled our wedding with absolute professionalism. We reconfigured our wedding to a smaller size of 45 people, and we moved it to the Meritage, but it was still an amazing evening that we will not forget. Thank you! -

When we decided to downsize our initially larger, traditional wedding to a 10 guest affair (thanks to covid-19) it was important to us that we maintain a unique, classic, and a once in a lifetime atmosphere. And we could not imagine a better experience than the one we had at the the presidential suite at the Boston Harbor Hotel! Every aspect of our experience, from the planning process through the entire event, was absolutely perfect. The catering manager, Ted, made booking and planning a breeze. He helped guide decisions from food to room arrangements, which took all the stress out of the wedding planning process and allowed us to just sit back and enjoy (something we very much appreciated after such a stressful un-planning process of the first, larger wedding). Once we checked in, the staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and anticipated/created details that we hadn't even imagined! They went above and beyond - even helping to decorate the space without us asking (creating an adorable bar set up with a sign that my cousin had gifted and placing additional flowers that had been leftover from the cake in display bowls around the room)! The chef and housekeeping managers regularly checked in with us throughout our stay. The food was delicious and we had multiple guests comment that it was some of the best food they have ever had (the truffle tater tots were SUCH a hit!) Between the stunning backdrop of the suite itself, the harbor views, the service that I wish I could rate more than 5 stars, and the quality of the food, we could not give a strong enough recommendation for the Boston Harbor Hotel. We only wish we could have stayed a few more nights!!
P.S. The technology set up made streaming our event so easy. We simply set up a laptop the face the aisle that was DIYed by our friends and the wifi was never an issue (and we were out on the balcony!). We also recorded the event on an ipad staged on a tripod. The bluetooth speakers throughout the suite made it easy to stream music before the ceremony and for the party after!
P.P.S. the master suite's bathroom and dressing area deserves it's own 5 star review! -

I could not have dreamed of a better venue.
It’s impossible to capture in a single review just how outstanding our wedding experience was at Boston Harbor Hotel. Michael Boivin and his catering team exceeded expectations over and over and over again, and I could not be more grateful for their hard work, efficiency, and talent. They made us feel like our wedding day was the most important event of the year and that energy translated into one giant, happy celebration!
Following our church ceremony, we had cocktail hour along the Harborwalk, a reception in the Wharf Room until midnight, and ended with Karaoke after party in the Foster’s room. The venue location speaks for itself – the views of the harbor are breathtaking – but it is the service and delicious food that really make this venue “beyond compare.” Countless guests have told me that it was the most delicious wedding food that they ever had (people were losing it over the fried scallops at cocktail hour) and everyone’s drinks remained full throughout the night. The staff met all of the needs of our 209 guests, including those that had very specific dietary restrictions or allergies. They also worked with us to make special requests possible – like two flavored wedding cake and cava instead of champagne.
Michael Boivin is a host in himself. We did not have a wedding planner, which made him the most critical contact of our entire planning process. This was the first wedding for both our families, so we appreciated his expertise and honest opinion throughout. He recommended countless vendors that had successfully worked at BHH before, responded to email instantly, and kept everything running on schedule on the big day. From our initial walkthrough to the tasting to the wedding day, he made sure all our questions were answered and our needs were met. An absolute delight to work with.
Thank you to Michael and the entire BHH team for the perfect wedding!! I could not have dreamed it better.

Kat Sent on 11/20/2009The Harbor Hotel is one of the premiere wedding locations in Boston. The hotel is the only harbor side hotel with sweeping views of the Boston harbor.
The bottom line:
Staff - is very friendly and professional. Everyone who you have contact with at the hotel, from the receptionist to your event coordinator, has a certain demure professionalism that you would expect from any five start hotel. My initial coordinator had to leave a couple of months before my wedding for personal reasons and my new coordinator, who is the head of catering, was a pleasure to work with and really catered to my family's needs throughout the process and certainly during my wedding weekend.
Food - Every guest complimented on the quality and amount of food we had served during cocktails, dinner and late night. The presentation, taste and quality of the food was amazing and better than I had expected. We were able to personalize our menu to the specific food choices my fiance and I wanted. I have attended several corporate events at the hotel where the food was just mediocre but during my tasting and the actual wedding I was more than happy with everything. My only issue with the food was that I had been told that the cake came with our catering package but was told during the tasting that the cake I had chosen was too elaborate and that even their most simple cake would cost me at least $9.00 a per person which for 200 people turns out to be $1800!! The cake at the tasting was nothing to write home about either and I ended up getting my cake from Konditor which worked out wonderful.
Venue - I had my cocktail and reception at the Harbor hotel and I could not have asked for a more romantic and regal location. I have lived in Boston for over 12 years and having looked at other venues including the Four Seasons and the Intercontinental, which are both beautiful venues, I was happy with my decision in the end to go with the Harbor Hotel. My guests, the majority of whom were from out of town, got to experience what I feel was an authentic Boston/New England wedding and have not stopped complimenting us on everything. Kudos to everyone at the Harbor Hotel for making this truly a very special day for my husband and I, our families and friends.

Angela Sent on 10/11/2011I worked with Cortney, the catering manager, and she was perfect! The planning for the entire event went very smoothly. Cortney responded promptly to all my requests, was very thorough in meetings and communications, was very flexible with the menu and helpful with selections, and handled the arranging of the venue and coordination with my other vendors. She was very clear about all the pricing, and provided a detailed, readable banquet order so that we knew what to expect. She also easily put us in touch with other people in the hotel, such as the woman we booked our block of rooms with.
The venue was gorgeous - the Boston Harbor Hotel provides standard chairs, table linens and buffet table/bar linens, and the whole thing looked very classy and beautiful. The staff was very professional, and everyone complimented the food and drinks. The staff even made sure to put some hor d'oevres and cake aside especially for me and my husband so that we wouldn't miss out on trying them. Everything was taken care of for us and we didn't have to worry. During the day-of room set-up and the event itself, the banquet coordinator was very responsive to our requests, understanding of the time table of the ceremony/reception and very professional.
My one gripe was that, during the reception, they asked us what we wanted done with the leftover cake, fruit and other stationary displays of food. We requested that it all be packaged up and sent up to our room, which they assured us it would be. We never ended up receiving it. I later found out that it had been sent to In-Room Dining to hold until our departure, but that hadn't been communicated. Will keep in mind for the future. It wasn't that big of a deal, but I would've especially liked the cake since I paid for it through a separate bakery and there was a decent amount of it left.
