We truly cannot say enough good things about this catering team. From start to finish, they were incredibly flexible, responsive, and genuinely wonderful to work with — which alone would’ve made them a great choice. But the food? Unreal.
We chose to do family-style service, which is more unique and definitely not the easiest format — and they absolutely crushed it. Everything came out hot, perfectly timed, and beautifully presented, all while keeping the flow of the night seamless.
Never in my life have I been to a wedding and left talking about the food… and yet almost six months later, it is still the first thing people bring up when they talk about our wedding. The lobster rolls, the sliders, the mashed potatoes, the meats — every single bite was outstanding. Nothing felt like “typical wedding food.” It was genuinely so delicious! We also opted to do an ice cream sundae bar for dessert and it was the perfect summer wedding treat!
Darcy and the rest of the staff were absolute rock stars. So professional, so kind, and totally on top of everything throughout the entire process. They made us and our guests feel genuinely taken care of.
If you’re considering them for your wedding or any event — do it. We would choose them again in a heartbeat and recommend them without hesitation. -

We used Boston Catering for our wedding at Connemara House Farm in Topsfield and could not be happier with the experience! Darcy was so great to work with in the planning stages and made the process super easy. On wedding day, Bianca made sure that my husband and I were well-fed and was constantly making sure that everything was running according to plan. The tables were set beautifully. Everyone absolutely RAVED about the food and said it was the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding! The short ribs and the chicken Italiano sliders were crowd favorites, but there wasn't one thing that wasn't incredibly delicious. Definitely don't hesitate to book Boston Catering for your wedding! -

Boston Catering & Events was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Throughout the entire planning process, they were prompt, responsive, helpful, and so accommodating — especially with our many friends and family who have food allergies. They made us feel completely at ease knowing everyone would be cared for and able to enjoy the food throughout the evening.
And WOW, did people enjoy the food. We lost count of how many guests told us how delicious everything was — with the short rib being a runaway hit of the night. We loved that they embraced our vision of skipping the traditional cake and instead we offered cookies and milk for dessert (which our guests devoured).
One of the biggest highlights? The late-night Chinese food station — complete with chopsticks! It was such a fun, unexpected touch, and people loved grabbing food and bringing it right back to the dance floor. Even our DJ had chopsticks in one hand while changing tunes with the other. Perfection.
From service, to execution, to presentation, to quality — they nailed every single detail. We couldn’t be happier and truly have no notes for improvement. They made our wedding dinner unforgettable. -

Boston Caters and Events catering company did a phenomenal job catering our 40-person wedding anniversary in September 2024 at the Lyman Estate in Waltham, MA
Every detail from table setup to linens and china were perfect. The entire staff, from the chef to the bartender were fabulous! The staff was extremely friendly and professional and the food was the best ever!
Darcy , the manager, kept everything moving smoothly throughout, cheerfully .. The presentation was just lovely. It was a pleasure to work with this team and I would recommend them.

Boston Catering was highly recommended by friends and we are so happy they catered our wedding and dessert. We still receive compliments on the food at our wedding and it was over 6 months ago!! Having good food was a priority to make sure our guests were well fed and Boston Catering did not disappoint. Plus, Darcy is a 10/10 vendor. She was so communicative, responsive AND made us feel so special on our wedding day. She brought us each a serving of our apps and asked us when we wanted our meal to ensure it was warm when we ate! Nothing but good things! -

My husband and I got married about 6 weeks ago and we still cannot stop talking about the amazing service and food provided by Boston Catering! Darcy, our event coordinator, was extremely informative, responsive, and helpful as we worked through planning our cocktail hour, reception, and brunch menus. When the big day arrived, everything was perfect! The food was incredible and the service was amazing. On our wedding day, Darcy and Bianca checked in with us to be sure we were well taken care of. We had wedding guests with rather specific dietary restrictions and they were so grateful they were able to enjoy substantial meals rather than ones that were just thrown together. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Darcy, Bianca, and the amazing Boston Catering team! We highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding and thank you brunch. -

Boston Catering & Events was the perfect catering vendor for our wedding. The whole team was wonderful and made the planning process feel easy and under control from start to finish. Darcy was responsive and knowledgeable as I tried to make decisions while planning -- which was especially helpful since I was planning remotely. Bianca was on-site for our wedding and made sure everything went smooth and I didn't have to worry about a thing. And the food -- wow! Chef Juan and his team created a delicious meal for us and our guests. Everyone was really impressed and ate well! The whole staff was friendly and created a wonderful atmosphere. Boston Catering and Events did an INCREDIBLE job for our recent wedding. We had ~140 guests, and the event was held at my family's property, which meant we had to find/bring everything needed for the event (i.e it is not a formal venue that has everything built in already). Thanks to Boston Catering and Events, this was a completely seamless and stress-free process. We worked with Darcy leading up to the event, and she was absolutely incredible. She was thorough, patient, detail -oriented, and so helpful to us in putting together a magical day. She didn't just help us with the catering-- she was able to arrange for the tent, tables, chairs, linens etc as well. She took the time to meet us in person at the venue twice to discuss layout and logistics, and was always extremely responsive to any communication up until the day!
Bianca helped us with day-of coordination and she was also incredible. She went out of her way to make sure that my now husband and I wanted for nothing on the day, and the rest of the staff did an amazing job of taking care of all our guests with absolutely DELICIOUS food!! We had countless guests come up to us the night of, and messaging us afterwards, to say how much they thoroughly enjoyed everything. I can wholeheartedly recommend BC & E to anyone looking to throw an incredible wedding/party/event!!Boston Catering and Events's reply:

We hired Boston Catering to help with my mom's big 60th birthday party! They were amazing - the service was fabulous, they were detail oriented on-site and even went above and beyond helping us set up. The food was also perfect! People could not stop raving about everything. I highly recommend them and can't wait to have another celebration that they can cater and make equally special and memorable. -

Boston Catering & Events was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From day one, they were so attentive and practically served as a second wedding planner for us with all of their advice and experience. Darcy helped us SO much and really helped make our vision happen with our budget. She was never pushy and was always so kind whenever we asked to make changes. On our wedding day, she brought us drinks right after our ceremony and brought our food to the table so we could truly enjoy every minute. The food was INCREDIBLE and all our guests raved about it - I wish I could eat their food every day! Thank you thank you thank you to BCE for being so amazing.....we love you guys!!! -

Boston Catering and Events provided a five star experience on our special day! They were super accommodating and willing to do anything to make sure we had the best day. Darcy is an absolute rockstar! She helped us with communication with vendors, setting up a tasting to suit our needs, and planning out our seating template. She is the event planner you dream about having when planning your wedding. When we increased the size of our wedding, some rentals became unavailable but she was able to find the rentals we needed through different vendors. She connected well with our venue planner, Patrick, and together they provided a dynamite experience! We barely noticed the rain once we made it under the tent because the staff of Boston Catering provided such an amazing dinner. When I looked over at the staff running trays with umbrellas over each one, I couldn’t have imagined better service. They were thoughtful and made sure to pay attention to details. Our wedding guests continuously complimented the food, how well everything was cooked and presented. I would use no other caterer but Boston Catering and Events for a special occasion. Absolutely incredible! -

Awesome team and amazing food!
Right from the beginning they were absolutely amazing! Darcy was the best, we talked to her consistently throughout, planning the menu and everything, and she really cared to make sure everything was what we wanted. We were able to go to their building for a tasting, and were completely blown away by their selections! They went with our small idea (mainly an Italian dinner), and ran with it-they had amazing chicken parm, shells, chicken broccoli ziti with the most amazing and traditional Alfredo sauce, and the best meatballs on the planet (made traditionally with veal and other meats-SO good)! They chose perfect appetizers for cocktail hour: bruschetta, raspberry Brie bites, chicken and waffle bites, and Philly cheesesteak spring rolls-all amazingly good. The food was just as amazing on the day-although we weren’t able to eat all of it during (as expected!), I sampled bites of everything and it was incredible-our guests raved about it too! The day of, they had a mobile kitchen which they were able to park in our driveway (we had the wedding at home), and it worked out so well!
Not only was the food amazing, but Darcy and Bianca were the best wedding coordinators! They do this as part of their services, and kept consistent contact with us to make sure everything was perfect. They both came out for the rehearsal to guide us through the ceremony (not an easy task because we were all over the place and hard to wrangle!), and they even helped us to hang greenery chandeliers I had made with hula hoops and ivy (which was Darcy’s idea originally!).
We got the tent rental and tables/chairs through them too, and it was GORGEOUS. They have the option of round traditional tables or farm tables, and we opted for the farm tables-AMAZING. The tent rental guys came out to set it up a couple of days early, and took care to artfully string up the bistro lighting, which combined with the farm tables made it look like a scene straight out of Harry Potter-completely magical! They were so nice too, and really made an effort to make it perfect.
We also had bartending services through them, and the bartender was awesome-she made our signature cocktails perfectly, so good! We went with an open bar by consumption, so we got money back for whatever alcohol hadn’t been consumed-a great option to save some money too! Everyone on staff was nice, happy, and on point, they are truly an exceptional team, and they made our special day completely perfect! -

From the very beginning we were impressed with Darcy’s responsiveness, and how flexible and accommodating they were with everything we threw their way— everything was customizable, from their creating a nut free menu to accommodate my food allergies (they even swapped out the nuts in my favorite salad for seeds!), to changing the cheese in the watermelon lollipops to account for the tastes of our guests as a last minute request, and they even took detailed notes at our (phenomenal) tasting so that they could prepare each dish exactly how we preferred, mixing and matching elements from our favorite dishes. The food on the day of was AMAZING! Our guests are still raving, particularly about how perfectly cooked the swordfish was, and that mushroom risotto (seriously, this risotto is to die for!!).
We planned a “backyard” wedding, on an island, from out of state, and not only were they infinitely accommodating with our obnoxious schedule, they seemed totally up for and genuinely excited about our adventure! They created an awesome on site temporary kitchen, and coordinated all the rentals (tables, linens, dishes) and took care of set up, even executed my vision of having a separate set up for cocktail hour— everything turned out so beautifully! From tablescapes to menu cards, they transformed the yard into a downright elegant venue. And clean up was fast and thorough— they used our kitchen for some prep and it was left cleaner than we’ve ever seen it. We were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing we were in such good hands.
On top of all that, we’ve had several guests comment on just how friendly the entire staff was, which goes a long way in our books! We truly had such a perfect day and know we owe so much of that to BCE— they made planning such a breeze for us, and put on such a beautiful event. And seriously....that risotto!!!! -

Carol Sent on 08/06/2018I am the mother of the bride, so thought I'd give my point of view. Boston Catering & Events and Darcy Eidle were incredible! First, and foremost, the food was amazing! BC&E is very creative in their offerings, and the truly listen to the bride, groom and families' "vision" and preferences in making suggestions. We got SO many compliments on how delicious, creative & well prepared everything was (we had a buffet). The bride & groom didn't want a cake, but didn't want to do donuts or cupcakes either. Darcy suggested a "make your own berry shortcake bar" which turned out to be a huge hit! We had a number of guests including the bride, groom and myself who have food "issues," e.g., dairy or gluten allergies, vegans, vegetarians, etc. The menu they created had items that everyone could eat, savor and enjoy, as they clearly are familiar with food issues & easily accommodate them. At the shortcake bar, they had dairy & non-dairy whipped cream, as well as dairy & non-dairy shortcakes - all of which were amazing!
When you work with Darcy Eidle of BC & E, you don't need a wedding planner. She's incredibly responsive, helpful and professional, and always got back to us quickly with answers to any questions we had or changes we made. When when we encountered some difficulties with another vendor, she jumped in t& came thru for us. She really didn't need to do this, but it helped make the process seamless for us.
The BC&E staff at the wedding were fabulous too! They too were professional, helpful & wonderful. At one point, the fabric loop bustling my daughter's dress broke, and one of the BC&E staff dropped everything to help her pin it. They made my daughter & new son-in-law feel relaxed and comfortable.
I highly recommend Boston Catering & Events. They are consummate professionals who truly care about their clients and go the extra mile. My daughter's wedding would not have been the magical event it was without them. We'll be using them in the future! -

User3294663 Sent on 11/06/2017My husband and I worked with Darcy for our fall wedding at the Lyman Estate. I cannot recommend Darcy and her team at BCE enough!!! First, the people we worked with at BCE were professional, responsive to email/calls, and always came prepared to meetings with floor plans, draft invoices, wedding schedule, etc. Second, the food they prepared at the tasting was DELICIOUS and tasted exactly like the food we tasted on the wedding night. We got many compliments from our guests that it didn't taste like "typical wedding food" and instead was truly a yummy meal they could enjoy! Third, Darcy went out of her way to make sure the food and tables were displayed and decorated in the way we wanted. She got extra greenery to decorate the buffet and cake tables, and executed our personalized table decorations exactly as we had envisioned. Fourth, the BCE staff at the wedding were polite and friendly to us and all our guests. Last but certainly not least -- they stuck exactly to the budget that we wanted.
Of all the vendors we worked with for our wedding, if we had to recommend one we would recommend BCE and Darcy's team. Would hire them again in a heartbeat! -

Originally the contract did not include unlimited passed apps, but when we explained that another vendor offered this to us, she communicated this with her chef to make it an option for us. She was very flexible with our payment, and allowed us to have a payment plan. Our tasting was about $80 but this was credited to our account if we chose to sign a contract with Boston Catering and Events. On our wedding day, Marieke was very attentive and helped to make it a day to remember. Our guests were pleased with the food and the service and the Teriyaki Salmon Sticks were a hit! I'd recommend BC&E to anyone! -
