    We loved working with them!

    We used Ala Carte Catering at GoggleWorks for our wedding and we could not have been more impressed with the service. We had to hire Ala Carte in the month of our wedding when the cater we originally hired we had to let go of. Even with just 1 month, they pulled everything together so wonderfully, provided everything we needed, we're a massive help with setting up and tying our reception together. I truly don't think our reception would have been as wonderful as it was with out them. Not to mention every single person that was there with them provided amazing service. If I could go back in time I wish I would have hired them in the first place and saved myself the headache of the original caterer.

    Boscovs did an amazing job at our wedding. The wait staff was great and always smiling. The food was amazing and everyone who attended couldn't believe Boscovs does catering.

    We had the fortunate opportunity to get married at an airport hanger. Unfortunately the venue was not equipped with any water station or kitchen/food prep area so we were limited to the catering options for out $175+ guest wedding.

    Luckily Steve Bonner and his wonderful team at Boscov's Catering was able to provide flawless service and exceptionally tasting food! Our evening was wondering but i cannot stress enough how accommodating and easy to work with Boscov's was leading up to the night of our wedding and the night of. Boscov's wait staff didn't skip a beat when it came to serving us and our guests. They would periodically check in to make sure we enough to eat and drink as well as if we needed anything else.

    Boscov's went above and beyond of what we expected from them. From the planning phase, to the set up, to the service and the clean up they were professional and most of all their food was incredible. Portion size guaranteed every guest to be satisfied. Food was cooked exceptionally - (highly recommend the crab cakes). We received numerous compliments on the amount of food between the cocktail hour and the dinner as well as how delicious it was - all prepped from their mobile kitchen.

    Hopefully I have another opportunity to hire Steve Bonner and his team at Boscov's in the future because they were such a pleasure to work with and the product was perfect.

    A huge shout out to Boscovs catering for a phenomenal job catering. 1 evening of delicious butlered hot hors d’oeuvres and then an entire day of grilling and a hot and cold buffet for everyone. We contacted several caterers in Berks County. Some never returned our first call. Some we spoke to once or twice and they said they would put some things together and they never got back to us. One decided to give my contact information to a friend of his who DJ's who took it upon himself to just text me out of the blue (Not professional at all!).
    Boscovs invited us to a taste testing of many of their hors d'oeuvres complete with a nice linen covered dining table. They took notes and got back to us within 24 hours with a menu and pricing for everything. They truly listened and customized it to how we wanted it. They provided a bar tender, did a set up and clean up Friday evening and were back Saturday hustling to change the setup for Saturday's picnic. Thank you to Steve and Sara and the staff at Boscov's catering for making the evening and day flow with ease.

    Boscov's A La Carte Catering was a pleasure to work with. Steve Bonner met with us in the beginning to handle our selections and pricing. He answered all of our questions and concerns and made us confident in our selection. On the day of the event, our chef, Doug, was awesome! He went over the alcohol, which we provided, to make sure we had the right things. The staff was very professional and most importantly, the food was excellent! We are very happy with Boscov's Catering!

    Boscov's Ala Carte Catering was amazing! The thoughtfulness of the staff and prompt response to anything my husband and I needed made us feel like royalty. They made sure to save us some hors d’oeuvres and serve us before any of the guest to make sure we had plenty of time to eat before mingling. Since we were sharing our table with our son, it was relieving not to worry about running him through the buffet line, they came with three plates full of items to sample. The food was hot, succulent, and delicious. We had our doubts, as in many places the food turns out warm and dry, but not here! It tasted as if they had made it just then. All of our guests only had wonderful things to say. And given we were working on a budget, it was comforting to have their staff give honest opinions and help develop the right plan for our size wedding so we were not getting too much or not enough. And even with our many questions, they always respond in a timely manner like we were their only customer. My husband and I would highly recommend them for any occasion, especially weddings.

    Boscov's catering was nothing short of amazing at our wedding, no one could believe our food was from Boscov's!!! The food was delicious and abundant especially for the price! Steve definitely knows what he is doing and goes above and beyond not only the day of the event but was such a great help when we were setting up our reception the day prior at the GoggleWorks. We also got bartenders from them who were so friendly and awesome! I will recommend them to everyone who may ask for any event not just wedding! Thank for making my event amazing!

    We just had boscovs cater our wedding reception on June 25, 2016 and they did an awesome job. The food was delicious and the service was even better. The servers were happy, friendly and well organized. I would absolutely recommend them.

    We got Bosvocs catering for our wedding, and overall were really happy with them. The tasting was great, and we were really able to try out many different options. A few of the ideas we submitted, for hor d'oeuvres and dessert options, didn't come out quite how we had imagined, but other than that, things were great!

    My husband and I used Boscovs catering for our Wedding Reception and they did a fabulous job! Ron DiBenedetto coordinated the whole thing, and everything went perfect! I would recommend Boscovs to anyone looking to hire a catering company. I will definitely be using them for my next event! :)

    Very glad we went with Ala Carte Catering by Boscov's as our caterer? Steve and all of the employees were very professional and went above and beyond to help make our wedding day even more special. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

    I could not be more happy with the food and service provided by Steve and his team at Boscov's catering. Boscov's offers experience, professionalism, great food, and competitive prices. Steve was very helpful throughout the process and worked seamlessly with our venue and our decorator (Wishes Entertaining & Event Design - presented by Boscov's).

    The wait staff and bartenders were courteous and attentive during our wedding. The food was out of this world and weeks after the wedding guests were still talking about some of the food served.

    Boscov's exceeded out expectations and I highly recommend them for any event!

    Steve and a la Carte Catering were AWESOME!!!! We absolutely loved their food and are surprised time and time again at how good their kosher catering is. Our guests (those who keep kosher and those who don't even know what that means) were blown away by the food! The hoisin short ribs and the wild mushroom ravioli were huge crowd favorites. Everyone, including our other vendors who must have TONS of wedding food, came up to us raving about the food *unsolicited*. Steve was very helpful all throughout the process, and all of his suggestions totally helped the reception flow better, such as serving a plated salad at each seat even though we were doing a buffet. We did a meat meal so we did kosher parve (non-dairy) dessert, and the desserts were AMAZING - they use a fantastic bakery. Definitely didn't taste parve! Can't say enough good things about Steve and A La Carte - thanks guys!

    The food was phenomenal! They made a small tray of appetizers for my husband and me right after the ceremony. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Plenty to choose from.

    They were great!

    Boscov’s catering was fantastic! The food was great, they were flexible with putting together gluten free options, we were able to adjust things up until the last second, and they were very accommodating, friendly, and professional. Our servers were so personable that our guests made friends with them. We had a ton of leftovers, which they packaged and sent home for us. Great experience!

    I cannot say enough good things about this catering service. Not only are they AFFORDABLE, their food is delicious and you are permitted a tasting ahead of time. We also rented our linens, plates and silverware from them. There are so many options for dishes and they are accommodating of food allergies. It's truly a create-your-own-package kind of service. Compared to the other options in the area, they were by far the most affordable, but the quality of food is WAY better than I had even dreamed.

    We chose Boscov's because they provided an excellent value for the cost compared to other caterers we looked at. When we originally booked we worked with Camellia who was absolutely wonderful and very personable. She helped us through selecting our menu and even provided extra options for us at our tasting that we hadn't originally thought of. The food was excellent - we had a seated meal with Filet Mignon and Chicken Oscar. Hors d'oerves were a HUGE hit - mini cheesesteaks, crab puffs, mini soup bowls, bacon wrapped scallops. Delicious! I also wanted to serve cookies and milk as a late night snack and they allowed me to bring in my own cookies while they provided milk. They actually butlered the cookies with milk in shot glasses which our guests loved. Another highlight was the serving staff on the day of. We had an issue with our DJ that delayed dinner by 30 minutes and they were so kind and accomodating, even giving me hugs when I was stressing out about the problem.

    The reason I am not giving a full 5.0 is because once Camellia went on maternity leave, the service we received was not as personable. While my new contact was still responive, answers to my questions were short and he seemed to be all about business. Also, our tasting was held in back of the employee break room at boscov's with paper plates and plastic silverware. It got the job done, but would have been nice to have a better atmosphere.

    Overall, I would definitely reccomend Boscov's catering and found them to be an excellent value - especially with Camellia as the point of contact.

    All the food was perfect

    All the food was delicious. Wish I was able to take some to our room at the end of the service.

    If you asked my husband and I what we thought about Boscov's Catering a few weeks before our wedding we would've told you they are an experienced catering company that's a good value, above-average level of responsiveness, flexible, and their food is decent. If you were on a budget I would've recommended you consider using them unless you have the funds to afford a really good caterer.

    Unfortunately, after our experience with Boscov's at our wedding, we absolutely can't recommend them. Only good thing we can say is the head chef (Doug) did a great job - he not only oversaw the delivery of all rentals (tables, chairs, linens, etc) and set them up, but also had the responsibility of running the kitchen at our wedding - and to his credit, people said they enjoyed the food. He basically ran the show and oversaw the entire staff.

    So aside from that one bright spot, here's some of the reasons we can't recommend Boscov's as a caterer:

    1) Bartenders were rude and unprofessional. We purchased our own alcohol but used 3 bartenders from Boscov's to serve - which we were told would be more than enough bartenders. While smoking outside, one of our guests overheard two of the bartenders trash talking the guests at the wedding. This guest didn't even feel comfortable disclosing the full extent of what they said since it was pretty offensive but apparently it had to do with the guests choosing to order beer over cocktails. Maybe everyone was drinking beer because the bartenders were serving liquor in wine glasses because they didn't have enough tumbler glasses. At one point the groom waited over 15 minutes for a bottle of beer and only got it when one of his groomsmen fetched one from downstairs. My mom asked for champagne later in the evening and they told her we didn't have any - even though we had a ton of bottles left over, and the bartenders weren't paying attention when she asked for more ice so a guest just scooped some for her. I could go on and on but I think you get the point.....the bartenders were horrible.

    2) Our chairs were wrong and they didn't tell us. This wouldn't be a big deal to some people but I ordered specific dark brown chairs when we booked them a year+ prior, called a week in advance to make sure they ordered the exact color and type of chairs I wanted, my coordinator checked as well, and they ended up delivering the wrong chairs anyway! Apparently they ordered them the week of our wedding and surprise surprise the supplier didn't have enough so they just got them in a completely different color. I have a feeling they forgot about the chairs until I called and instead of being honest with me they just hoped I'd be happy with what I got. Thankfully my coordinator was able to sort everything out and I got new chairs that were closer to the ones I ordered.

    3) Cake was the wrong flavor. Not a big deal but when the catering company asks what cake flavor you want, you tell them the flavor (orange), and they say "ok", it's annoying when your cake is plain vanilla. The cake was good but geez, why would you even bother asking us what we want if you're not going to deliver?

    4) Didn't deliver on everything we ordered. We didn't have garnishes for the drinks (lemons, etc.), which we paid the caterer to supply. The mother of the groom (who attended the food tasting) asked for cheese on her italian pork slider (which was served with provolone cheese during the tasting) and they said they didn't have any.

    5) Did I mention a guest caught 2 of our 3 bartenders out on a smoke break openly talking trash on the guests?

    So if you are looking for a caterer I recommend not using Boscov's - and if you do, at least make sure they provide you with better staff (aside from Doug who was great) and actually deliver on everything they promised.
