Fantastic Cake Vendor!

They were great at helping us determine what style and flavor of wedding cake. We had four flavors and received a ton of feedback from our guests that the cake was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Delicious Beautitul Cake

The bakery was easy and accommodating to work with. The cake was beautiful and flavorful! Options of flavors was plentiful! And they have gluten free options.

I recommend Boonzaaijer's bakery to EVERYONE. They made the most beautiful cake for us and it turned out EXACTLY how I imagined. They work on your timeline, and make sure that you get everything you want. We were able to use many flavors of cake and design it how we wanted. They were timely and helpful. Order with them!

Boonzaaijer's was the best choice we could make. Their cakes and pastries are always fantastic! They worked with us to provide us a cake that best suited our needs. We had the vanilla with raspberry filling and the lemon poppy seed. Both excellent choices out of so many different options. They met with us for the tasting, the detailing, and designing, and delivered as well. They coordinated with our reception venue for us. The cake was beautiful, and so very delicious.

Our cake was amazing. Everything that we asked for was incorporated into our cake. Our guest where very satisfied and received so many compliments on our cake. I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for a wedding cake.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Had their cakes and pies for my wedding and it was all incredible. Had many compliments on the perfect baking. They were easy to work with and accommodating to my needs for my day. You can't go wrong with their delicious desserts!

Boonzaaijer's baked the most amazing cake for my wedding! It was moist and flavorful, and I did not have leftovers. Everyone loved the cake, and it was a huge hit.

In addition, their decorator did a wonderful job with the design, even though I really asked for a lot. I was very impressed with their skill and service, and I highly recommend them!

Very easy to work with, professional, gorgeous wedding cake and most importantly, it tasted amazing! We actually ordered a copy of the top layer of our cake as we were only able to eat one of the two flavors we had picked, and we can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. We highly recommend them.

I was planning my wedding from about 13 hours away so I probably wasn't the easiest to communicate with. They were always happy to help me and did such a beautiful job on the cake. i wanted something simple and elegant and they did it perfectly. I had two kinds of cake: red velvet and white with raspberry filling. I preferred the red velvet (it was so moist and yummy!), but many of my guests commented on and loved the white.

We had a great time picking out or cake flavors with the staff at Boonzaaijers. Our cake was beautiful and delivered on time. Our guests were very pleased with the taste of the cake and cupcakes. They helped make our special day perfect. There was a miscommunication with the cake topper-however, the staff at Boonzaaijers fixed the issue and made sure that we were happy with the outcome. We would defiantly recommend them to those planning an event.

Great cake for the price! Vanessa was very helpful and friendly. The cake looked just like we talked about so no complaints! Can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to have some more!

This company did my graduation cake many years ago. I just had to have them again for the wedding. They have such delicious cakes and great designs. They were easy to work with and have great prices. I swear by these guys!

We got a three tiered wedding cake with butter cream and it was amazing!! We were able to choose three different flavors of cake and 3 different fillings! They customized it exactly what we wanted and it was delicious! We also had a consultant that was the actual individual that was going to baking the cake and decorating it, which made us more confident in our decision making. I would definitely recommend Boonzaaijer's for your wedding cake!

Had a white brides cake and red velvet grooms cake with rasberry filling. Best cake around. Only complaint is that I had to have a count in 2 weeks before the wedding and I had many rsvp's that weren't in yet. I guess everyone waits until the last minute. So I ordered a larger grooms cake just to make sure we wouldn't run out. Well, many of the people that weren't coming to the wedding waited until the last minute to rsvp or didn't rsvp at all and we had alot of cake left over. Wish I didn't have to have the count in until a week before. But we took it home, cut it into pieces and froze it. Still enjoying it. The guests ate more of the white cake than the red velvet so I wished I would have gotten the grooms cake 1/2 and 1/2 so there would be more white cake which is my favorite.

We had a destination wedding in Colorado Springs. Having looked at a number of bakery's and private cake companies we selected them for our Wedding cake and a groom's cake.

It was very tough to select which cake and filling, because they were all so good! We gave them a picture of a wedding cake we liked, and they got it exactly right! The grooms cake was a custom concept, of a laptop computer - and they made it perfect as well!! Our guests raved about the designs and especially the taste of both cakes. They were fresh, moist, soft, the fillings were EXACTLY as we expected from our tasting. It was simply absolutely perfect!

The customer service from Baker and his staff was impeccable.

We highly recommend this bakery.

Boonzaaijer's Dutch Bakery made us a beautiful, absolutely delicious cake for our wedding. Not only are they very affordable, but their cake is soft, flavorful...and the Bavarian cream in the middle is to die for.

We got 3 different flavors:
Lemon poppy seed cake, with vanilla Bavarian creme and raspberry filling in the center and vanilla buttercream icing.

Chocolate cake with chocolate Bavarian cream filling and vanilla buttercream icing.

Vanilla cake with vanilla Bavarian cream filling with buttercream icing.

They were great to work with, very professional. My cake was delivered and set up on time and beautifully. It tasted amazing, and our guests very much enjoyed it.

Their other pastries and goodies are worth tasting as well. Great experience with them.

Boonzaaijer's had the best tasting cake I found. I love that we got to have different flavors and filling for each layer. It was so delicious and we got so many compliments. The price was also the lowest I found. I can't wait for our complimentary 1 year anniversary cake!

All I can say is YUMMY! They were absolutely wonderful and helpful. We are going back for a smaller version of our wedding cake for our anniversary. Best cakes in town...in COLORADO, I dare say.

This was by bar the best tasting wedding cake i have ever had. THey did such a good job of taking an abstract idea i had, and making it even cooler than i had imagined. They were very creative, and ver accomidating!

We had a 3 tier cake made for our 20th wedding anniversary dinner in June this year. The cake turned out beautiful and tasted even better. I know exactly where to go to the next time I am in Colorado Springs and need a cake or any desert for that matter. I would most definitely recommend Boonzaaijers for all of your bakery needs.

We really enjoyed going to the pastry shop to try the cake and look through the book. When we picked up the cake, it was just beautiful. I also ordered a grooms cake that was delicious. We just ordered a cake today for our 1 year anniversary and are really looking forward to eating it! Their pastries are sooooo yummy too!

The cake designer was amazing and so flexible! We discussed designs and gave her the decor to go on the cake and it turned out beautiful! They delivered our cake to the venue in a timely manner. It would be a crime not to mention how delicious the cake was. It had butter cream frosting and one layer was vanilla with fresh strawberries and the other was coffee. The chef at our venue said he has never seen such a moist wedding cake. Our guests loved it! I would definitely recommend this bakery for your wedding cake. In addition, their prices were pretty reasonable compared to other vendors in the Colorado Springs area.

Amazing tasting cake! Beautifully done! Delivered on time! The only thing was the blue on the cake was the wrong color of blue. So I would just double check with them if you want a specific color to make sure they know what you want.

Yummy cake! Initially it was a little difficult communicating with them because we were out of state, but it got better. It was the best tasting wedding cake I have ever had, even if it wasn't as beautiful and I had imagined.

The cake was beautiful and it was a lot less expensive than some of the other bakery's around Kalamazoo. It was also delicious of course! The only downfall was we had bad service at our cake tasting.

My experience with Boonzaaijer's was mixed. I had two main issues with them. One, the cake we tried during our tasting was wonderful, but during the actual wedding is was a little dry. Two, the cake we ordered was not the one we received. That being said, however, it was still a beautiful cake, just not what I was expecting. I also would like to rave about how wonderfully flexible they were with me. I gave them a challenge of doing individual cheesecakes and fruit tarts in addition to the cake, and they turned out wonderfully! They tasted SO good and they were absolutely beautiful. So although I was a little disappointed in the cake, they more than made up for it with my other desserts.

Overall, my experience with this company was great. Their cake was delicious. I provided them with a picture of what I wanted, and they were able to make almost an exact copy of the cake! We received lots of compliments on the way the cake looked and tasted. My biggest issue with them was scheduling a time to taste cakes, since I was planning a wedding from out of state, and they're closed on Sundays. Otherwise, they were great and I would suggest them to brides!

I love that they allowed some options for the cake flavors. The only thing I would like to see improved is that they didn't treat the bride and groom as special as other vendors. The person helping with cake tasting wasn't very happy or excited. She didn't seem like she was too happy about helping. It wasn't like she was terrible just didn't make the experience memorable.

The cake was delicious, though it didn't really end up looking the way I thought it would as we had discussed it. The bakery also didn't not come through on providing the stands that they had said they would provide though they still charged me for it. They were late delivering the cake because they had forgotten our cake topper and then blamed the planner at the hotel for not reminding them.

We ordered our wedding cake through Boonzaaijer's and it tasted absolutely delicious and our initial interactions with them were great! However, there was a lack of communication and the week of the wedding we found out they were scheduled to deliver our cake during the ceremony in the same room as the ceremony. Clearly that's a problem. We asked them to work with us, even if just 45 minutes, but they wouldn't budge. It wasn't until our venue event coordinator called that they agreed to deliver the cake at another time, which was impossible when we talked to them. That was disappointing. In any case, the cake tasted delicious and looked beautiful (but I do wish the colors had been brighter). I would use them again for the price and quality, but make sure you settle on the details ahead of time because they aren't likely to work with you when push comes to shove.

If you are looking for delicious bakery items this is the place. However, if you expect good service too, then I strongly advise you to go somewhere else.
I fell in love with Boonzaaijers Dutch bakery a couple years ago. So when I was planning my wedding, I automatically chose them for my cake and dessert.
I put in my order 11/10/15. I ordered 1 single layer cake and 100 petite fours; lemon bars, cheesecake, decadence, and mini fruit tarts. I physically went into their bakery twice, gave them my invitation and spoke with them on the phone. The date of the wedding was 12/27/15.
They called me 12/24/15 at approximately 5pm stating they just found my order and would not be able to deliver because they would be closed over the weekend for the holidays. I told them I order this several weeks ago and paid my deposits. They put me a hold, after several minutes said someone would provide the cake and desserts as promised and to pick them up on Saturday. I arrived Saturday and the owner was there. He behaved as if I had ruined his day and gave me the wrong dessert. I got cream puffs instead of the fruit tarts, paid full price, and no common courtesy of I am sorry or Congratulations. Boooo BAD Customer Service!!!!!!!
