So much fun!!

We hired Bongo D to play at our rehearsal and I think it was one of the best decisions we made. Not only was the music great, he also brought out instruments and included people to play with him! So much fun!!

Wedding Ceremony

Bongo Duane was great to work with. He was easy going and helpful with the particular sound we wanted for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He is super nice and loves his musical craft. Highly recommend him! My guests thoroughly enjoyed his music and it was perfect for our beach wedding.

Amazing choice for your next event!

We were referred to Bongo D by our venue host (Old Town Manor). We knew we wanted steel drums for our wedding cocktail hour and let’s just say Duane’s reviews speak for themselves! He was such a joy to be around and so very talented. Totally engages the crowd, too! It’s a full performance- enjoyable and chill.
When it came time to transition from steel drums to our DJ, it was a smooth, seamless transfer (a bride’s dream).
Duane is a breeze to work with. He answered all of my emails/questions leading up to the day, and just made the process easy. Highly recommend for your next event!

Highly recommend!!

Bongo D was great! Due to covid, we last minute could not have a DJ, so Bongo D stayed an extra 2-3 hours for us. He played steel drums for our ceremony and through dinner, then switched over to dancing music for the rest of the night. He really added to the tropical fun atmosphere! Thank you so much Bongo D for everything! You did an amazing job and we are so thankful you were able to stay and finish out the night with us! :)

Great addition!

We hired Bongo D to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour at The Perry Hotel! He was the perfect addition to our wedding and provided a wonderful vibe. I loved that he was interactive with our guests by bringing different instruments. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly, stress-free musician.

Just Amazing!

Bongo D is the best!

My husband and I are SO happy Bongo D was a part of our wedding day! Bongo D played at our ceremony and during cocktail hour. His prices were very reasonable and he was friendly, professional, and fun, and the steel drum added such a special, unique, beautiful and romantic touch to our ceremony, and added a lot of life and joy to our cocktail hour. Bongo D even had instruments for our guests to play to get in on the action during cocktail hour, and we have many cherished photographs of our guests having a blast - adults and kids alike - at our cocktail hour thanks to Bongo D. Everyone was surprised at impressed at this unique and special addition to our wedding - Bongo D is truly talented and is also just a very nice person! We are thrilled to have had Bongo D play at our wedding - thank you so much!

He went above and beyond!

Bongo D really outdid himself for our wedding! He played perfectly for our ceremony and for our cocktail hour. We had some miscommunication with our band so they were delayed in setting up and Bongo D helped bide time with playing longer than he was supposed to. He interacts with the guests and gives out such a fun vibe. I really enjoyed him and am so glad we hired him!! We miss you Bongo D!

Absolutely the best steel drummer!

We were thrilled to have Bongo D for pre wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Duane is so personable and engaged many people with a variety of instruments. The only negative was that we wished we had him for the whole reception as well!!!!! I would not hesitate to book Duane for your event. He is absolutely the best!!

Very Irie Mon!!!!

Bongo D was perfect at our ceremony and cocktail hour!!! Unfortunately we didn’t get to hear him play much at the cocktail hour but the guests loved him!! I would definitely recommend him and would hire him again!!!!

Island Vibes

I knew from the moment I saw a video of him playing at a wedding that I needed him! I loved the vibe that he brought to our cocktail hour at Playa Largo Resort & Spa. He played all of our favorite tunes from Bob Marley to classic calypso. Everyone raved about him, he was so fun and interactive with our guests, even letting the kiddos come up for a closer look. I wish I could of sat on the sand and listed to him all night. Bongo D created the most perfect sound, exactly what I think of when I picture a beach, island wedding. Beautiful music!

Bongo D is wonderful-- easy to work with, responsive and he made our day so beautiful with his music. We had him for our ceremony and cocktail hour and I am so glad we did. If you want a true Key West vibe, Bongo D is your guy. He did our ceremony and reception and was awesome! Our guests LOVED him. He’s interactive and so much fun!

Bongo D was an awesome addition to our beach wedding. He was very flexible with times and location (we had to change venues due to hurricane damage) and I spoke to him several times before the wedding about things like setlist, timing, etc. He was very professional and easy to deal with. Beyond all that, he is an awesome musician. The steel drums were such a nice touch during the ceremony and cocktail hour. We received so many compliments/comments from our guest that he was great. We also have some really cool pictures of our guests playing some of his different instruments with him. Great guy, highly highly recommend.

Our wedding at The Southernmost Beach Resort was perfect in part thanks to Bongo D!!!! From the solo steel drum to the Trio band at our reception. I highly recommend Bongo D to be a special part of your day!!!! He is absolutely AMAZING!!!!

Walking down the aisle (dock) in Islamorada listening to Canon in D (Pachelbel) steel drums was simply breath taking. I couldn't be happier with the decision my husband and I made to go with Bongo D for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception entertainment!! His music gave us the exact feeling we were going for for our special day!!! I highly recommend Bongo D!

I let my wife decide all the details of our wedding, except for the music. My only one requirement I had was that I wanted steel drums. We were told about Bongo D by our Venue, and we contacted him. He quickly drew up a contract and later on made the planning so easy. When it came time for the wedding, Bongo D was there, set up and ready to go without any issues. During the ceremony and reception he was fantastic, lively, engaging, and perfect for what we had in mind. Everyone at the wedding (including the venue staff) absolutely loved the music and atmosphere Bongo D provided. Bongo D was proffessional, charismatic, cheerful, even let me play his steel drum! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Bongo D to anyone who wants a fun, tropical, and easy going wedding, you will not be disappointed.

Bongo D is a must have at any wedding, especially a beach wedding. He played the steel drums during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Not one person failed to mention that it was one of their favorite parts of the wedding. He is extremely talented and his music creates a beautiful atmosphere during the wedding. I highly recommend Duane as my wedding would not have been the same without him! He even gets the audience to participate and try out his instruments! A true entertainer and great addition to any wedding!

Bongo D exceeded our expectations and provided outstanding service for our pre-ceremony/ceremony/reception. From the moment I initially contacted him to the final moments of our wedding, Bongo D was always there to tend to our needs and answer any question. For our beach wedding, he played the steel drums pre-ceremony/ceremony/cocktail hour and the rest of the wedding he helped MC and make announcements. We made our own playlist and plugged in our iPad to his equipment and it worked beautifully. Our beach wedding wouldn't be complete without the steel drums and everyone raved about the ceremony/cocktail hour music he played. I would use Bongo D over and over again and he was such a generous and great person.

Don't just book Bongo D, book is band as well. It was a little more to pay but worth it by far. Our guests were so expressed that we provided a live steel drum band. They are the real deal, look and sound amazing. Reminded us of Bob Marley. They played for 2 hours and with full energy. Don't look for another band in Key West because Bongo D and his band Niceness which consists of 4 additional instruments will be an amazing addition to your wedding.

Bongo D was absolutely an amazing musician and he was very personable when interacting with our guests. He got guests involved in playing instruments which made our event more fun! Bongo D provided steel drum music for our rehearsal dinner and it really helped create a fun atmosphere for our celebration. Bongo D arrived with plenty of time to set up and his music was incredible. I highly recommend Bongo D as a musician for any wedding event!

Bongo D was great to work with from start to finish. He was very responsive and helpful during the planning of the wedding and he did an outstanding job during the ceremony and cocktail hour. He was there right on time and ready to go and really added a great vibe to the wedding ceremony. He kept all of our guests entertained and provided a great back drop of sound during the cocktail hour. We made some good choices for our wedding and having him play was one of the top ones. He also provided microphones for use during the ceremony. He's great. We would highly recommend having him play at your wedding, you will not regret it.

Wow!!! Bongo D was so amazing at my wedding ceremony and SO easy to work with! Everyone was complimenting our music all night and still are! Bongo D was EXACTLY what we were looking for!
We got married in June in Islamorada on the beach and Bongo D provided the music for our ceremony and reception.
His look and sound are precisely what we wanted for our wedding.
Bongo D played our entrance music and recessional as perfect as could be. Then, while Layla & I were off getting pictures taken, he moved his equipment to the reception area and played through cocktail hour and then dinner.
After the first couple hours, he was joined by another musician and the 2 of them played beautiful, fun music that created the beach dance party atmosphere that we were looking for.
He also had a sound system that sounded great, even when playing the music that we sent him and he had prepared and ready to play whenever I gave the word.
In one word: PERFECT!

Bongo d was prompt, responsive, polite, and flexible during the planning process. We had him play steel drums for the ceremony and cocktail hour and added a guitar player for the rest of the reception. The music was wonderful and he had a great sense of humor. We loved him and so did our guests!

Bongo D is absolutely amazing! He played the steel drums for our wedding and entertained our guests at cocktail hour by blowing the conch shell and getting all the guests involved with other little instruments. Everyone enjoyed the awesome sounds of the steel drums and had so much fun. I can't wait to get our wedding video back so I hear everything I missed from him! Thanks Bongo D, you're the best!

Duane was awesome! The attendees loved him. As a coordinator, he was a dream to work with; professional, responsive, and on time (in fact 40 minutes early). I would absolutely hire Duane again- he added so much to our beach welcome reception!

We decided less than a month before our wedding to add a steel drummer to our ceremony and cocktail hour, and luckily Bongo D was available. We communicated through email and he was very responsive. His website for signing the contract and picking music was easy to use. The guests had a lot of fun interacting with him during the cocktail hour. It really added a fun element to our event.

Bongo D was such a great addition to our rehearsal dinner. He was a pleasure to work with while planning the night and selecting our favorite songs.

Not only did he add so much to the night, but he truly had a great time doing it. He was dancing around and singing the whole night. He included the guests by giving them instruments to play. We even asked him to stay for a few more songs and he was happy to do so.

What a wonderful addition to our daughter's island wedding. Bongo is very accommodating, talented, and fun! He entertained our guests and even had them play musical instruments. His list of songs is endless..you can choose or he will choose for you.Bongo's Caribbean appearance and laid back attitude complete the package!

Bongo D did such a fantastic job at our 12/6/13 wedding. Things went so smoothly and our guests truly enjoyed his music (we did as well). His love of music is obvious. He was professional but very relaxed - perfect for our beachside wedding. We have heard many people say how fun it was to get to play his instruments during our social hour. We had Duane play during our ceremony and reception and he was AMAZING! He was extremely professional to work with and so much fun. He played the steel drums during our ceremony, giving it an unique island vibe, and was exactly what I had imagined. It was perfect! During our reception he brought out other instruments and got everyone involved. I cant tell you how many people came up to us afterwards and said how much the loved Duane and how much fun they had. Duane (Bongo D) was awesome!
I got his contact from the vendor list which we got from the hotel. I started communications with him via email since we live in the UK and his responses were very quick. We arranged everything via emails and I did not meet him until the day of the wedding.
Duane is a true entertainer and very talented. He played at the wedding ceremony and sort of set the tone for the guests. Then he moved up to the reception. He really got everyone involved. He had loads of instruments that people could have a go with. It was a lot of fun.
I would happily recommend him to my friends and family anytime!

From the moment we booked our ceremony site in KW we knew we had to have a steel drummer and Bongo D is the very best! Bongo D was such an incredible guy to work with...not only was his music beautiful but he was extremely personable. Our guests loved him and he added the perfect touch to our beach wedding. I feel like I barely got to enjoy his music since we were off during the cocktail hour taking pictures, but everyone had great things to say. He got people involved, playing instruments, etc. Also he provides an officiant mic which is pretty key on the beach.
