Derek is amazing. He recently shot our wedding and was easily the most responsive person that we worked with which was a huge stress relief. He was the first to show up on our wedding day and made everything feel so natural. He has been so upfront and honest about every step of the process. Derek did such an amazing job on our wedding video, it was definitely worth the wait! Derek made the whole process really easy and listened to what we were looking for in a videographer. I love his style and I couldn’t be happier with the way that he captured our wedding, even down to the song choices for the trailer. We loved the drone shots, our venue was off the snake river so it was fun to see what the venue looked like from above. I would definitely recommend hiring Derek for your wedding. -

Derek & Boise Wedding Films created the most beautiful wedding video for us! He captured all the important moments but went above and beyond that and captured the tiny moments that melt your heart, the stolen kisses, the hand-holding, the glances, and our three-year-old son stealing the show! Your wedding day is fast and furious and having not only the video but the entire wedding ceremony filled in those fuzzy moments. I loved reliving our magical day and sharing it with those who couldn't attend. Above all of that (and probably the biggest stress reliever) is that Derek is a communicator. In the months leading up to our wedding, he was checking in and filling me in on what was going to happen. Then on the big day, he fully executed that plan while not being intrusive. I'm so grateful we asked Derek to capture our day and can't say enough about his professionalism and quality of work. 5 stars and then some! Thank you so much, Derek and Boise Wedding Films! -

Seamless, professional, WORTH-THE-MONEY
Derek helped to capture the best day of our lives. We were able to relive the day through our video even though it went by in a blink of an eye. If any brides are debating whether to spend the money.... DO! Getting to watch the day back in such an artistic way puts me to tears each and every time I watch it! Derek was there the entire day and worked in a way we didn't even notice he was there, it felt extremely natural. He worked in a very professional and helpful manner in order to get the final video exactly how we wanted. I could not recommend him or his business enough! -

Derek and his team produced an absolutely STUNNING wedding video that perfectly encapsulated our wedding day and brings be to tears every time i watch it. It's artistic, authentic, captures raw emotion and the beauty of our surroundings.
My husband and I were incredibly impressed with his professionalism throughout the booking process, timely responses, and thoughtful pre-wedding workflow to ensure he was factoring our goals into the wedding film and capturing our day most effectively. Derek is an absolute artist - despite getting married on a sunny day in front of the Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole (making lighting hard), the lighting is absolutely perfect, he captured all of the people and background with gorgeous artistic direction... just wow!
What I was stunned by (and our photographer even commented on this) was his unobtrusive style - he seamlessly collaborated with our photographer, never got in the way of events of the day, yet captured a stunning work product with all of the key moments and right scenes. Truly, could not be more pleased (and grateful) to have worked with Boise Wedding Films! Derek was amazing
Let us start off by sharing that we work in the film and video industry, therefore we held a high standard when searching for our wedding videographer. Derek is beyond easy to work with, and he is so quick to respond! On our wedding day he arrived on time and had the proper equipment needed to get the job done. He did not require any special attention from us and is 100% self-sufficient; he’s a master of operating his one-man-band show! When it came to the delivery of our video, we were over the moon. Derek did a beautiful job, capturing all of the magic in a beautiful highlight video that we will truly cherish forever. We recommend Derek 10 out of 10 as a wedding videographer; he’s calm, considerate and understanding and a pleasure to work with (which is a relief when you’re deep into the planning of your big day!) Book Derek for your event; you won’t regret it! -

My wife and I had the most AMAZING experience using Derek and his crew to capture our amazing day in Sun Valley! Even before the big day, Derek was extremely involved and responsive, making sure he understood exactly what we wanted and coordinated with our photographer. He was beyond professional (and nice) yet extremely easy to work with, making what can be a stressful day, the most relaxed and enjoyable experience. Made My Wedding Look Like a Hollywood Movie!!
Derek was seriously so amazing! We were so pleased with the quality of the cameras that were used and the way the film was arranged. From start to finish it was a completely stress free process. We knew we could trust him and on the wedding day he was able to get amazing shots and he got all of the important footage we wanted (vows, speeches, first dance, etc). We were so impressed with the quality of service on his end and we are so thrilled with the result!!! We’ve probably watched our film dozens of times and we never get tired of it. We almost didn’t get a filmographer but now we realize we would have really regretted it. Thank you again, Derek for your amazing work!

We were so impressed with Derek's professionalism and his incredibly hard work throughout my daughter's wedding day. I was hesitant to hire a videographer because of the stories I'd heard about others' experiences with long delays, poor quality, and cost. But I'm so grateful we decided to work with BWF. We are so proud to share the video of our daughter's wedding and it was worth every. single. penny. When you see how much time and effort goes into your film, it's a bargain! When I first met with Derek & Raquel their sweetness as a team and how they made you feel as the customer was tangible. I needed a team who could help stay calm and put us at ease with the chaos of a wedding and all the possible things that may go wrong. They did that for me and I knew they were the ones we wanted.
And as in traditional craziness of weddings go, we had some flops and things that weren't coming together. But these two maintained their calm and worked around the craziness and they created our perfect and outstanding wedding video. They chiseled out the stress and imperfections and the end result was this masterpiece of love that our families and friends love so much! It's so nice to look back and not see the frustrations only the beauty! Thank you Boise Wedding Films!
