If music is your priority, hire Luis!

We hired Luis to DJ our multi-cultural wedding last year and were so glad we did. He completely met our expectations and gave us wonderful surprises along the way. His passion is music and it is obvious. We interviewed COUNTLESS vendors before settling on Luis because we were looking for someone who understood our eclectic tastes and could execute them; Luis fit the bill.

I felt compelled to come write a review over a year a later because yet another wedding guest approached us saying our wedding was one of the best parties they’d been to. Luis was a major part of that lasting impression. Thank you, Luis!

Simply the Best

Luis was a dream to work with. I hired him for my husband's surprise party and he went above and beyond. Throughout the process he was supportive and willing to do everything he could to assist in pulling the surprise off. He arrived early to set up his equipment, and created a fun, festive atmosphere, that kept the party moving. He is extremely professional and courteous. He absolutely made the process less stressful and the event more special. Thank you!

I cannot begin to say how happy I was that I hired DJ Luis Bode (Bode Music Services) to be our wedding DJ. He was responsive, helpful, easy-going, and a blast! I read a recommendation for him on Reddit and reached out to him to find out more. From the beginning he was extremely responsive, always getting back to my e-mails within 24 hours (and usually within an hour!). Even though we were trying to plan the wedding from out of the country, he was always available to talk/answer any questions or concerns we might have had. He knew the venue (Hilton Doubletree Biscayne Bay) inside and out and had great recommendations for set-up. He also created the perfect playlist to accommodate my side (latin) as well as my groom's (country). His timeline/recommendation worksheet is thorough and brought up many points we hadn't even considered. He also helped shorten songs (at our request) to make sure some of the important dances (first dance, father-daughter, mother-son) were too long and awkward. And the music flowed perfectly all night; I'm still hearing about what a great dance party we had (and this was 3 months ago!). The dance floor was never ever empty and he had some really inventive and fun dance mixes going. I really want to mention the little things that I thought were great: 1. the day of the wedding reception he showed up early and had arranged everything as we discussed. 2. He made sure to perfect the pronunciation of all the family/wedding party names - pretty tough since we had Hispanic, White, and Arabic names all included! 3. He was a great MC and even made a special announcement (without us asking) when my husband requested a solo dance with his niece. The whole room was in tears! Overall, I think Bode Music Services provides a personal touch you won't get with any other DJ service in Miami. He's with you every step of the way, throws a wild dance party, and for the price he charges he's a steal!

Bode music was great! I gave him such minimal requirements that I was almost afraid he wouldn't know what to play at my wedding but he killed it! Everyone is still talking about how much fun it was 8 months later!

Luis was always very quick to respond to any email I sent or any call and voicemail I left. He was so friendly, so helpful, and very professional. He knew many of the songs we loved that were not common and he did everything he could to get the songs that were not necessarily popular and easy to find. We LOVED his work and loved having him as our DJ.

Luis was awesome. He kept the party going with just a general idea of what I wanted, in my own words "I just wanna dance"! I would suggest to future couples not to stress the details too much when it comes to music, especially if you hire Luis. He'll be sure to keep the party going!

I recommend Luis Bode, he is a professional that takes his business seriously. Our wedding took place at a rooftop on a beautiful late afternoon with no mishaps or surprises. Luis enjoys entertaining and does it well, we feel very fortunate that he was at the helm during our most memorable evening, we highly recommend him!

Luis was a lot of fun right from the start! He made really good suggestions to help us with the entrance music and cake cutting music. He really listened to get a sense of the type of music we liked and mixed it up all night long. Every person at our wedding had a great time and enjoyed the music!

Luis was great. The music was amazing all night long and he did arrest job MC-ing the event. He also provided all the lighting for the ballroom and everything looked amazing. I was very happy all around!

I'm so happy I picked Luis Bode to be my DJ! I researched several DJ's and chose him because he was so professional and responsive while also being affordable (which is hard to come by in south Florida). After meeting with him I was even happier with his easy-going personality and his attention to detail. He helped to ensure that my wedding went smoothly, from the beginning of the ceremony processional (which was tough because it rained and the ceremony had to be moved!) through the end of the reception. Despite the rain, he made sure everything went according to plan. I'll definitely be hiring him for any future events!

DJ Luis Bode did our wedding in August 2002 and was amazing...we had English, Spanish, and Greek music and he did a great job reading the crowd and kept everyone dancing the entire night. Fast forward a few years to our 40th birthday celebration this past Saturday and again, he was amazing. Everyone kept on asking us throughout the night where we got our DJ. If you are lucky enough for DJ Bode to be available on your date, book him ASAP. He was the first vendor I selected when choosing my date and would have moved it to have him play at my event. DJ Bode has a passion for music and met with us beforehand to get a flavor of our musical tastes to make sure he played all of our favorites. He also brought lights were amazing and created a great environment.

We used Luis from Bode Music Service for our wedding ceremony and reception for music and lighting services. We would highly recommend using him for any event. He is extremely professional and talented. We met before the wedding and went over everything in detail. He was extremely patient helping us select the right color for the lighting and helping us on our music selections as we are not musically savy. Overall, our experience was great and the wedding was great as he kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Thank you again Luis!

With a DJ like Luis Bode, there is no need for a band or "hora loca" .. he will keep the party going and the dance floor packed until the very last song is played! Luis Bode has been our family "go to" wedding DJ for the last 15 years and he just recently did our wedding. Luis is professional, friendly, and fun! He is accommodating as to what kind of music you'd like and plays a wide genre of music to engage your whole crowd. He also did our up-lighting and monogram and we were very pleased with the look of it all. DJ Luis Bode is the best!

We were so impressed with Luis Bode at our friend's wedding in June 2013 that we hired him to DJ our wedding in May 2014. Luis Bode is extremely professional, courteous, and fun and we definitely enjoyed working with him. We hired him to do DJ our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and everything came together smoothly. He played everything we asked for him to play and even took requests from our guests. Did I mention he did all of these pieces of our event all by himself?! He also worked well with the wedding planner and coordinator that day. Our families aren't big dancers but Luis Bode had everyone on the dance floor enjoying the night. If you are looking for a great DJ and a great price, you need to hire Luis Bode!

Luis was extremely professional and helpful. He was very insightful as to what theme & ambiance we were trying to create. We wanted something very simple, not a typical wedding with the electric slide dances etc. He gave us a lot of support but let us make the final decisions as to music selection & coordinating the events for the ceremony & reception. We were on such a tight budget that we googled dj apps, researched wedding websites & were completely convinced that we could get away with having one of our friends push play. How hard can it be, right?!? Wrong!!! THANK HEAVENS WE DIDN'T DJ OUR OWN WEDDING WITH OUR iTUNES LIST". What a disaster our wedding would've been. All the rest of the money we spent would've been for naught had we skipped this very important detail. Do yourself a favor: skip the florist, hair dresser, make-up artist, but the love of GOD! Hire a DJ (We're obviously partial to Luis Bode) and while I'm at it listen to me, if you need an angel from above that you can actually trust who TRULY cares as much as you do for your wedding, hire Silvia from the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens to help you with your day. These two people were life savers for a DIY bride like myself. Good luck & congrats!!!

Luis is the only DJ we would ever use again. He is truly more of a Musical Director. He took care of coordinating with our performance vendor and that was it--we had nothing left to worry about. He arrived early, set up, and was ready when we needed. His attire matched the tone of our event--we are a national organization of finance and accounting professionals. Everyone was out on the dance floor and kept dancing until the last song. Our theme was "Noche Espanola" and during dinner he played Spanish themed music that really set the mood. He helped in getting everyone excited and even helped drive sales for the silent auction with his fun messages! Highly recommend him.

Where do I begin? How about Luis Bode is the BEST DJ in all of South Florida!!! He is amazing. I have used his services for one other event and my cousin used him for her wedding and we will continue to use him again and again. He listens to you and what you want as far as music is concerned for your event and he delivers. The dance floor is constantly packed and when its over your guests come up to you to say that the music was great and that they haven't been to a party where everyone from little kids to my grandma was dancing non-stop. Luis you are phenomenal. Thank you for always going above and beyond. You are like a part of the family now.

Mr. Bodé provided DJ services for our wedding. Not only was he very pleasant and professional, but he was able to quickly adapt with our plan B scenario, when it came to our reception venue. Music selection was in depth, and kept our guests engaged, and dancing all night. He stayed after and offered his assistance. We were very fortunate to use Bodé Music Services, and would definitely recommend him for a wedding, or any other event.

Luis was fantastic! Simply no other way to describe the service. We admittedly had a hard time choosing all of our music, particularly the "signature" pieces like first dance, father-daughter dance, et al, and even didn't think ahead for songs during the cake cutting, the garter toss and the bouquet toss. We had failed to realize we needed songs, but of course you do! Luis was ready with suggestions and past favorites and even accommodated a last-minute change the day-of to the introduction music for the wedding party to the reception. Responsiveness, professionalism and flexibility are off the charts with Luis. We received huge amounts of compliments from our friends and family for the music selection and sequence, and everyone was up and dancing and celebrating all evening long.
In sum, we (my wife and I) both highly recommend him, for how great of a service he provided and as helpful as he was, I would consider his prices to be very reasonable to boot.

Luis, was the DJ at my friends wedding in 2010. I knew then he was going to be hired for my wedding. My husband and I, would highly recommend Bode Music to everyone. Amazing work! We trusted Luis 100% and he delivered 100% plus. Luis, master our wedding. He is such an easy going person, responsible and prefessional. Luis Bode was an amazing master of ceremony (MC) and DJ at our wedding. Before the wedding day he was also very easy to get a hold of and very easy to communicate with. He played all the right music and really succeeded in getting the party started. Our guests were on the dance floor all night -- our grandparents, parents, friends, and some kiddies too. His energy was so positive and enthusiastic; it was really great. He was also very accommodating with changes in the order of the bridal party as he introduced them. His bilingual MC skills are outstanding. My husband and I highly recommend Luis Bode. He's a talented DJ and very responsible.

We fell in love with Luis from the very beginning. His extensive knowledge of music is incredible! We explained the type of music we would like and his suggestions were on point! He made it so easy to select our music. My husband was unsure of what song to dance with his mother (due to the style if music he was searching for; bolero), Luis gave us so many options. It was amazing! He made us feel comfortable and spoke to us like we were friends and not his clients. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much! I cannot even begin to explain how happy I am that I hired Luis for my wedding! My husband and I had the time of our lives! The dance floor was always packed, and I received so many compliments on the music. People are still talking about how great the party was! Aside from being a great DJ, he is a fun and entertaining host, and he goes the extra mile to make your night run smoothly. For example, before the party started my husband and I got caught in the rain outside taking pictures. Luis ran us through our hotel to a back room where we could gather ourselves. He had my best friends there who were able to pin my dress and fix my hair. Seriously, I don't know what I would have done without him! He cares about what he does and it definitely shows. If you hire Luis, you will have a DJ that you can count on 100% for a GREAT wedding! The consummate professional, always a pleasure to deal with, and, most importantly, an amazing DJ. I was so happy with the music, and numerous guests told me how much they loved him. Luis Bode is by far the best DJ I have experienced at any wedding. He keeps everything running smoothly the entire night and really takes care of every little detail for the wedding music, introductions, toasts, dances, and pretty much anything else. We could have not dreamed of a better wedding and having Luis there really made it perfect. Luis is excellent. He listens to your needs and wants and follows through. He did our wedding and did a wonderful job both as a DJ and as an MC. From the entrance music in my ceremony to the last dance at the reception Luis did an amazing job. The lighting at the reception was perfect as was the music. He was so on point with what we wanted. He also did a flawless job of editing the songs when needed during the ceremony to go with the pace of the bridal party! Words cannot express how pleased we were with Luis. I will skip the fluff and not drone on about how wonderful he was (and he was wonderful)but give you details on why you should go with Luis. If you send an email, you will get a response that day. If you say play this and not that, he will do exactly what you said. Funny he even thinks of things that I didnt like which version of a song I wanted. I made an assumption, he looked for answers.... On the day of the wedding, he did more than DJ. He lined up the wedding party, practiced names to make sure he didnt botch names, frankly we were all over the place and he made us laugh but at the same time got us in order ( lining us up was like hearding sheep fyi). Essentially he went above and beyond DJ roles. Let me explain further, I took a look at my cake and noticed the baker forgot the flowers. I mumbled something along those lines under my breath and he said no worries, I will take care of that... and he did, when it was time to cut the cake there were beautiful fresh flowers decorating the cake. Ok now on to dj stuff.... he asks for a list, I provided a list, and he took my dinky list to a whole new level!!!!! People are still talking about the music. Not only that but he didnt just stand there and play music, when it was time to facilitate and get the crowd going, he did.... when it was time to play the music he did.... and if something wasnt clear, he asked first. I just cannot say how pleased we were. If you need a DJ stop your search is Luis is availble, book him now! You will not be disappointed.

Luis Bode took time with my fiance and I to find out EXACTLY how we would like our reception to flow, and made recommendations to the areas where we weren't sure. He played all the songs that we requested to hear, and made the party so much fun for our guests. Luis was able to keep the flow of the event moving and keeping our guests engaged and happy. He was able to foresee different aspects of what we would need, asked us if we were OK to do it, and everything flowed PERFECTLY. I noticed that even people who were nearby at the resort, but not our guests, were dancing :) My friends, family, and even my in laws were raving about the music at our wedding. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

After reading all of the sparkling reviews about Bode Music Service, we decided to book Luis Bode for our wedding reception. All of the amazing things said about him were completely true! Luis was very helpful and responded quickly to my emails during the wedding planning process. (And I was a nervous, out-of-town bride!) We had a guest list that was very diverse in age and I was concerned about appealing to everyone's interests. Luis assured me from the beginning that he could handle it and he was absolutely right. All of our guests (teenagers to thirty-somethings to seniors) had a blast and he even had my grandparents out dancing on the dance floor! Our reception was running very behind schedule, and Luis worked behind the scenes with the photographer and venue to make sure that all of the logistics still went smoothly without me having to worry about a thing. Luis Bode is the consummate professional. He is able to give you a sense of trust from the initial moment you speak with him and he does not disappoint! My wedding ROCKED and we owe it all to Luis the DJ! I was a little nervous about the DJ because we never met him before the wedding, but all my nervousness went away as soon as we met him that night. What a magical ceremony at The National! Luis exceeded our expectations more than we could ever imagine!! Luis was always 10 steps ahead of us and provided excellent service and assistance prior to the wedding, ensuring we had all of our music we wanted and then hand-picking songs that we LOVED that I never even thought of!! Luis Bode definitely saved the day for our wedding.Many of our friends and family raved about the music. As an MC, he set the tone, but did dominate the evening at all. The other wedding DJ we had booked fell through at the last minute, and we were able to meet with Luis and book him on very short notice. He met me at the venue just two days before the wedding. He sat and consulted with me for two or three hours about song cues (first dance, intro songs, gartner removal etc.) and then talked about musical we wanted during dinner and after. We had a lot of requests and opinions about the music (covering a wide range of musical genres from hip-hop to classic salsa, and he really understood and accommodated our requests). He especially good for a Latin crowd. It made the evening very special. He is extremely professional and has clearly done many weddings, and understand the demands of the occasion.

I highly recommend <> for any event. He was not only a good DJ, but also professional in his manner and dress, dependable, and very helpful before and during my wedding. He was attentive and courteous to us and to our guests, playing their requests, while playing the type of music we had agreed on. The main reason I would hire him again, and took the time to write this review, is that <> is someone you want present at a special event when you need calm and helpful people by your side. Good music is an essential ingredient for a successful party and he knew just what to play.

Luis, is great!!!!

We were running late coming from the Church, and as soon as we got to the reception he helped all of us get organized to start the introductions as quickly as possible.

He made everything go smoothly, the music was great, and everyone danced all night!!!

He definitely made our wedding memorable not just for us, but for all of our guests!!! :)

I'm happy we picked him as our DJ! :)

DJ Luis was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is extremely professional, is passionate about his work, and has a vast knowledge for music that it made our wedding planning so stress-free. I remember how we would mention a line of music from a requested song, and he would immediately name the song title, artist, and sometimes the release date!! :) I would recommend him to any bride and groom who are looking for a professional DJ with experience, who is NOT cheesy, and will get everyone on the dancefloor! Thank you Luis for making our wedding so memorable!

Luis did a great job, especially with organizing the crowd and getting things done promptly. He served almost as a wedding coordinator as well as a dj.

Luis was a great DJ for our wedding at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens. He incorporated all of our requests and really knew how to keep the party going, everyone had a blast. Thanks Luis!

We interviewed DJs in April for our December wedding and were very impressed with DJ Luis. We hired him based on his upbeat personality, dedication to the wishes of the couple, countless rave reviews, and organization. He was very thorough in his messages, knowledgable and experienced, and willing to work with us within our budget. As professional musicians ourselves, we appreciated his approach to events as a performance. He also knows Spanish which is close to Italian, and several of our guests flew from Italy. Something else extremely useful was his FB page with suggestions of music, in addition to his template for special songs for the event.
The day of the wedding, DJ Luis was friendly, helpful, arrived early, helped stay on track with the timeline with announcements and playing the selected music, and ended exactly on time. He was incredibly helpful throughout the evening, and not only with music. In contrast in June we had a small reception in Italy where we were in charge of the music and playlist .... I must admit it was *really* nice to have a professional like Luis handling our wedding — one less thing to have to think about!
We were not thrilled though about receiving a few panicked phone calls the night before our wedding, when we were with our out-of-town guests. It seemed like he waited until the last minute to prepare our playlist, or at least download a specific piece of music we had selected for our first dance (which had been emailed over a month beforehand). Luckily he was able to make it work!! And on the bright side, better to have happened the night before than the day of! We also had difficulties with communication via email, our main form of communication since we live abroad, but we imagine these are not typical problems. We still highly recommend working with DJ Luis!

Luis was a great DJ for our wedding! He did a great job with the introductions, worked well with our coordinators to keep our reception moving along and on time. Most importantly, he was a great once the party started. He took time to understand the feel we wanted and delivered! At times we felt he could be more responsive via email/phone in the weeks leading up to our wedding, but in the end we were very happy with his services. We received multiple comments from guests about how much fun they had and how awesome the music was. He also provided lighting services at a great value. He took multiple trips to the venue to ensure that our views were in sync. This provided us great comfort as we were planning this wedding from another state. The room turned out exactly as we wanted it.

We would definitely recommend Bode music.

Luis was very helpful and responsive to our requests for the ceremony songs. We wish we would have been a little more involved in requesting specific songs/genres for the reception, however, with so much going on so close to the wedding date, it was nearly impossible. Luis did a great job making sure that everyone was dancing and having a good time the entire night. He also provided our lighting for the reception space.
