Don't overlook your DJ

Hiring a DJ was an incredibly important decision to me and my husband because we knew the music could make or break the atmosphere. And our number one priority was that our guests had an excellent time. Bob absolutely did not disappoint. He's go great experience and has excellent recommendations. Something that I think people easily overlook is having an emcee - a person who directs the evening. In addition to DJing, Bob also did a great job announcing the wedding party, and transitioning between dinner and dancing. He's also just incredibly personable and wonderful to work with.

Professional, Caring, and Super Fun!

Bob Holl just helped rock our wedding reception into the night! He's a professional who took the time before hand to get to know us and some of our music tastes. He used that information and his great experience to keep the party flowing flawlessly and keeping the mood on point.
He's incredibly nice and cares about what he does and it showed, thank you for helping us celebrate!!
His audio equipment was also crystal clear and had more than enough volume capability ;) Gotta crank it up sometimes!
Many of our guests asked who he was after the party.

Bob Holl did such an amazing job DJing for our wedding! He is high energy and truly wants to exceed your expectations. He was genuinely interested in details and was very quick to respond to emails. We had 5 hours of non-stop dancing, a testament to Bobs energy and professionalism! Not to mention his state of the art equipment!

Bob is amazing!

Bob was great throughout the entire process of being our wedding DJ/MC. He was very energetic and personable in planning the entertainment for our big day! Within the first meeting we could tell how passionate he is about his work! He was also very accommodating in the final days leading up to our wedding with last minute changes. We received many compliments from our guests during and after the reception. The dance floor was packed the entire night! Thanks so much Bob, we loved working with you!

Happy Bride

Bob was always quick to answer our questions. He made sure that the reception was organized and written down in the order of events for that night. He played music off of our request list and did an exceptional job!!! Definitely would recommend him!!!

Bob came highly recommended by a wedding photographer - she thought he was the best and it was all true. Bob is very easy to work with. He was also very responsive to e-mails, even if he was traveling he checked in to note he received my e-mails. We had a great in-person meeting prior to the wedding and I felt he really tried to understand what we liked and our tastes. At the wedding he was a very professional emcee and had an amazing playlist. We gave some suggestions which he was very receptive to and used - so I'm sure he would be equally accommodating to others with different musical tastes than ours. The dance floor was also always full. I got a sense that Bob really knows how to read a room. Finally, we also heard it from our guests - they loved the music and had so much fun dancing - especially our friend who had completely sweated through her dress from never leaving the floor!

Bob Holl was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day! From the moment we began planning our big day with him, he was so accommodating and really showed how much he cared about making our day be exactly what we were envisioning. Bob provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner music, and our reception music at our venue (SentryWorld in Stevens Point, WI) - and everything went absolutely perfect! We couldn't be happier with having Bob as a part of the best day of our lives, and highly recommend him to others getting married in the Central WI area.

Bob Holl is amazing. He absolutely MADE our reception and was such a pleasure to work with. My number 1 priority for my wedding was the dance and Bob more than exceeded my expectations. Everyone at our wedding made sure to tell us how much fun they had and how amazing the dj was. I have been to weddings where the dj comes in and sets up during cocktail hour and quite honestly that always annoys me. Not Bob! He was ready to go before we ever arrived and was extremely professional while remaining completely entertaining! He guided our guests through dinner and speeches, he informed everyone of our guestbook, and he made sure everyone got on the shuttle to leave. The title of master of ceremonies and dj doesn't do him justice. He brought so much more than that to our wedding! I literally didn't leave the dance floor for 3 hours straight. He has such an ability to read the crowd and the perfect intuition for when to raise and lower the energy level. He began the evening by rolling out Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. I mean...I can't even describe how excited everyone was. The dance floor was immediately full and it didn't empty for the rest of the night. As a member of the class of 2000, he couldn't have possibly chosen anything more pleasing than that. And the hits kept rolling from there! Bob Holl was the best decision I made in my entire wedding process (other than my husband of course)! THANK YOU BOB!

We hired Bob Holl for both of my daughters' weddings. We had such an exceptional experience with Bob Holl for the first wedding, that we knew right away we wanted him for our next wedding. He is very professional, well organized, keeps the events on time, knows how to read the crowd, and provides terrific entertainment and tons of fun! Bob Holl is a great wedding DJ! He was organized, easy to work with, provided thoughtful suggestions and was open to our ideas/requests. During our reception, he worked with the venue manager to keep things running smoothly so we didn't have to worry about anything. He put together a great playlist, incorporating our/our guests' requests, as well as his own songs; the dance floor was packed all night. I would highly recommend him as a DJ to anyone planning a wedding.

Bob is such a fun guy to work with!! He did a great job at helping our wedding day go smoothly. He helped us create a cadence for the day, which didn’t go exactly to plan - it went better! He was able to improvise and make it a fun day. We had a few odd requests for our wedding; like ending our first dance song early because we had a choreographed dance, a Jenga game during dinner, and it couldn’t have gone better. Bob was able to get everyone at the wedding on the dance floor! Our families aren’t much for dancing, but everyone was out there! He really picked great songs to fit the audience and get them out on the dance floor. A few of our guests were amazed that Uncle Gary was out there dancing – That’s how you know it was a good time!! I was really impressed with how intuitive and sensitive Bob was to what we wanted at our wedding; for example, we did not plan a father/daughter dance due to my father passing away. Well, my (now) husband’s family requested to have a special all father/daughters dance. Since this is something we hadn’t talked about, Bob went out of his way to make sure I was okay with it. He was able to set up his equipment ahead of time, so when he showed up to play he was ready to go right away. He worked great with other vendors we worked with – Made sure lighting was good for pictures, made sure the catering was announced – these touches really help the day go smooth. He truly is the DJ to accent your day, not steal the show on your day. Bob was very classy and professional, while still making sure it was a fun atmosphere.

We came across Bob through a recommendation from our venue. After reaching out to Bob he responded in a very timely manner and we quickly scheduled a phone call to discuss further details. He was very personable and friendly on the phone and I could sense immediately that he was passionate about his business and I knew before we met in person that Bob was the guy for the job. Over the next year we met a few times and Bob was very easy to reach. Meetings with Bob were great because we not only discussed details for the big day but he had a genuine interest in our lives and getting to know us as a couple. In our final meeting with Bob I repeated that we wanted a huge dance party during the wedding. We had a few dance surprises planned and Bob helped us pull them all off. He exceeded our expectations and guests said that he was the best DJ/MC they had ever experienced at a wedding. Our dance party floor was full all night! Bob was flexible throughout the night and he was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend his services!

I can not say enough good things about Bob Holl. We met with him before the wedding and he was extremely kind and attentive listening to the different things we wanted for our wedding reception. He kept the dance floor hopping all night long and followed our requests for song selections. I wish I could turn back time and do the reception over again and Bob played a huge part in that keeping the night running smoothly as the M.C. We loved having Bob at our Door County Wedding!!

Bob is amazing! We loved him! He is so much more than just a DJ. He takes a valued interest in getting to know you as a couple and what your likes and dislikes are. Bob tailors the music to fit the theme and style you are looking for while still bringing his expertise and musical wisdom to the event. Not only does he play music but he runs the show, and makes sure that everybody knows what is going on. I've seen several other DJs at weddings that have had pretty bad mishaps, but with Bob's experience you can guarantee that won't happen at your wedding. He's worth every penny!

Since our first meeting with Bob, we knew he was the one we wanted to lead our wedding reception. He took the time to truly get to know us and was so personable and friendly. At our wedding, he was more than just the DJ. He made sure everyone knew what was going on, and often made announcements letting our guests know what was coming next. There were two things that were high on our must have list; the first was having good food, the second was having good music. You can't have a celebration without good music. My husband and I were SO SO SO SO Happy we hired Bob Holl. We can't imagine our wedding without him! We had a not so traditional wedding and he was so accommodating. (My now husband and sister played the father daughter dance as a surprise!) Bob went above and beyond! I was so worried people wouldn't be dancing but we had people on the dance floor all night! I am not lying when I say I was sore for a few days. I NEVER left the dance floor. He is SO professional, knows how to read the crowd, and is just such a joy to work with. I am now going into wedding planning and will be recommending him to EVERY single bride. If there are 2 things you should invest in it's your Entertainment and your Photographer, and Bob Holl is definitely worth the investment! He has so much experience that you feel so confident going into the night, after our first meeting with him I was completely at ease. Bob Holl was phenomenal to work with... he exhibited complete professionalism, and you can tell he has a true passion for his work. Bob met with my fiancé, parents and me prior to our big day, and it felt wonderful to have time to chat and work out the details in person. Bob listened to our requests and he made sure our guests' requests were heard too! Bob was not only a wonderful DJ, but he was also a great host! Once you have a date picked call Bob to make sure he is available. Bob is a entertainer and professional who takes true pleasure in providing an event you and your guests will be raving about. He had not performed at our venue before and instead of arriving the day of to a new site he made a special trip the week before our wedding to visit with us and scout the site. Adam and I didn't know much about what we wanted our wedding to look like at first but we did know we wanted Bob Holl there! Bob had been the DJ at my cousins wedding and was just amazing! She had booked him because she had seen him at some of her friends weddings. Long story short Bob Holl was the DJ for almost our whole group! He is extremely professional and does exactly what he says he is going to do. He is very easy to work with and does a superb job of covering all of the bases so nothing is forgotten. Even the things the bride doesn't think of :) Bob really went out of his way to make sure Adam and I had everything we wanted on our special day!!!

Bob Holl made our wedding reception and dance so very special. Prior to our wedding, Bob met with my fiancé and me to gather background information on the two of us. We had both married our high school sweetheart, had long and very happy marriages, and then we lost them to cancer ahead of our retirement. Little did we know that, due to an introduction from a mutual friend, we would fall in love again, and have someone with whom we can now spend the remainder of our lives. Our families, our ministers, our numerous long time friends and wedding guests, and Bob Holl's involvement in our reception made the day more memorable, more compassionate, and more magical than we could have possibly imagined. Bob Holl was the DJ for both my older sisters' wedding 12 and 10 years ago in Wausau, WI, so we were so excited when he agreed he would travel to St. Paul for our wedding! Bob did a fabulous job working with us before our wedding to ensure we had everything we needed to make our wedding a great party. Bob contacted us several times before our big day to make sure he knew who we are as a couple and what our vision was for our party. Whenever we needed to connect with Bob, he responded quickly and respectfully.

On our wedding day, Bob was prepared and present well before our cocktail hour started. He was professional, helpful, and fun! He played all of our requests and then some! He knew exactly the type of music we wanted and kept everyone out on the dance floor!

I would highly recommend Bob Holl to anyone who needs DJ services for their wedding. When most people think about a DJ for a wedding they only think about the music and song selection. However, Bob does so much more than that. Prior to the wedding Bob took the time to personally meet with my wife and I to go over multiple aspects of our wedding. From giving his input on how the reception site should be laid out to providing a logical flow of events during the reception, he really did it all. There was no doubt he has years of experience working weddings so his insight was very valuable. On our wedding day Bob showed up early to set up, was dressed up in a nice suit, and was very professional. As soon as the reception started is when Bob really shined. Prior to getting the music started Bob controlled the flow of every event from the cake cutting to the dinner buffet. He gave clear and concise instructions on what people should be doing and where they should be focusing their attention. He even did a trivia on my wife and I and walked around the room to get the crowd engaged in what was going on. I am extremely pleased about how Bob handled the flow of the reception prior to getting the music started. Once the music did start Bob kept on doing an amazing job by playing songs of all variety that got all age groups up and dancing. The dance floor was rocking strong all night until we had to shut down the party at midnight. At the end of the night my wife and I received numerous compliments about how that was one of the most fun weddings they have ever been to and a big part of that was due to the great job of Bob Holl. Bob is worth every penny and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about having an organized and fun wedding.

Bob was extremely timely in response and was very easy to work with. He takes his services very seriously, before and during the wedding. He did a fantastic job helping us get a time frame situated for speeches and dances. We provided a list of requests prior to the wedding which he prepared and had ready for the night. Even throughout the night, he would check in with us to make sure everything was going the way we wanted it to. Our family's enjoyed his presence and he did a great job getting everyone up and dancing.

Bob Holl was exactly what we needed for our August 15th wedding! Our wedding was so much fun, and Bob was incredibly responsive and flexible to all of our needs and wants. His music selection was a fantastic mix of old school and new hits, and the entire feeling of the wedding was loving and joyous! We were initially unsure about the lights on the dance floor, but he really knows how to make a phenomenal experience! Our guests danced the night away, and Bob knew exactly how to keep the energy high! Towards the end of the night, I was getting tired and ready to leave and Bob noticed from the other side of the room, perfectly transitioning into an appropriate goodbye song for us! It was a wonderful and memorable night and Bob made a huge difference!

Bob Holl was the best choice we could have made for wedding entertainment. He met with us multiple times and always responded quickly to emails and phone calls. He gave us resources and tips for planning our wedding timeline and music. Bob was very good at following the timeline that we created and he was also ready for any problems that could have happened. He is excellent at reading the crowd and played music that our guests danced to all night long. I would highly recommend Bob Holl because he was professional, attentive, friendly, and most of all, he helped make our wedding day perfect!

Bob has been the chosen entertainer for many of the weddings in our family. Time and time again he is the most professional DJ I have seen and is willing to do anything to please his customers. Amazing! I've heard Bob perform many times and always told him he would be the DJ for my wedding. Years later when I got engaged and we booked him as our DJ. I always boasted to our friends and family that from the first song to the last dance, that the dance floor will be packed, and it sure was! Six hours of continuous dancing, all varieties of songs, he truly knows how to read the crowd and keep the party going! From my first interactions with him, throughout our planning process Bob was great! He has true compassion for what he does. I would recommend Bob to anyone who wants the BEST DJ in Central Wisconsin!

Bob Holl is great!

I had known Bob from a couple of occasions previous to our wedding - from a work event and from a wedding I stood up in. I was so impressed that when we set the date for the wedding he was the first thing we booked! Bob wasn't one of those DJs who just presses play - he was very attuned to the crowd and did a great job of keeping people on the dance floor.

Bob was very thorough and helped us plan out the whole evening - taking all of our requests and making them work nicely with the venue we had selected. He knows a lot of the venues in the area and was able to give us some great suggestions. He was also great at responding to emails and phone calls when we had questions. Thanks to Bob the wedding reception was great - there were people on the dance floor all night!

Bob is also very well known in the area. Our photographer and event coordinator couldn't say enough great things about him - and we agree!

Bob did a wonderful job making our wedding reception special. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ/MC! He is such a happy and fun man. Words cannot describe how pleased we are with Bob's performance on our wedding night! Our guests had a blast tearing up the dance floor! There were countless remarks from our guests about how much fun they were having and how awesome Bob was! Even the bartenders commented "I've never seen a dance floor this busy here. With most dj's there are a bunch of lulls, but you guys never stopped dancing!" I credit this to Bob! He knew what to play and when, to keep us out on the dance floor all night!

Bob is very personable and truly cares about making each and every event a perfect one! He was very flexible and was able to adapt to any last minute changes! He really is the best! I would recommend him to anyone that wants to throw one hell of a party!

We're so glad we choose Bob Holl to be the MC at our wedding. We saw him at a friends wedding a few years back and were impressed and wanted to have him do ours. He did everything to make sure we had what we wanted for music and was unbelievably flexible during the reception and made everything move along like it was all planned ahead, so no one had any idea on the timing of things being off from original plans. He had everyone dancing all night. Literally the dance floor was packed for over 4 straight hours. It was an amazing time and Bob deserves a lot of credit for making it what it was. We would gladly recommend him to anyone for any occasion and especially a wedding.

Bob definitely made our reception! He walked us through planning our music prior to the wedding and reception, took detailed notes, made suggestions based on our taste and style, and accessed the crowd to play music that would appeal to every age group. He is a very professional DJ with a state of the art system for selecting music, filling in the wedding details, and sound equipment. He supplied the music for our reception and it was absolutely perfect. We gave him a list of songs we would like to hear, and he managed to fit all the right one's in perfectly. Everyone said what a great time they had at our reception, and we know that is owed mostly to the entertainment. Bob really engaged our guests and got everyone involved. If you are looking for someone to make your wedding a memorable one Bob is your guy!

I can't say enough good things about Bob and his amazing services. We planned our reception very late in the game and I was so relieved to have found him. From our first conversation he was flexible, professional and always concerned about making sure that our event was fun, lively and exactly what we wanted. It's pretty clear that Bob is more than 'just a DJ'. He's a host and master of ceremonies that is desperately needed to keep your even moving and on track. There were quite a few things that I never would've thought of that he suggested and he's so personable that he can fit in with any crowd. We received numerous compliments on the music selections (which were just what we talked about with Bob) and even though our event was a bit smaller than normal, we had people dancing on the dance floor until the venue shut down! Myself included! To boot, even family members admitted that it was the best family wedding they'd been to.
It's certainly possible to find 'just a DJ' for your event, but I'd say that you won't get the same seasoned professionalism and experience out of them like you will Bob. Thanks so much for making it one of the best evenings ever!

If I could give this guy a 6 out of 5, I would. When I heard "more than a dj", I didn't know what that meant- when I got to the wedding, I finally understood! Bob definitely has a way with crowds, but still makes sure to check with the bride and groom on how they feel every step of the way! He knows what he's doing- I've been at weddings where the party cooled for a bit, and never got started again because the dj had switched to country music, or another extreme- Bob keeps his cool, and goes with the flow, so that the party continues on. (Thank goodness, because extreme music switches tend to kill parties.) The only extreme you will have at your wedding is extreme fun!

Our wedding was a month ago and we both wanted to make sure to set aside some time for this review, because Bob Holl deserves it! Bob Holl Entertainment is hands down the best out there. Chris and I really had the bar set high for expectations and Bob surpassed that bar.
Things that I think other bride and grooms would want to know about Bob:
1) There is never a dull moment with this guy. He has a great sense of humor, but yet knows how to keep it professional in his business.
2) He keeps the flow going during the night. I've been to weddings where there is no music at certain times or no one is on the dance floor and it just becomes awkward. Bob can really pull that all together. Our guests absolutely loved Bob Holl and everyone was raving about him. ((I also heard the same comments from other weddings I was at where Bob was there)).

We could go on-and-on about how great Bob is, but I couldn't stress anymore GET BOB HOLL ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUR DJ! We love this guy!

Bob was a wonderful Master of Ceremonies/DJ for our wedding! The dance floor was busy all night long with a great selection of music to our liking!! We gave him the "style" of music we wanted played rather then picking and choosing songs, and he just ran with it. He was so accommodating to our requests throughout the night as well! WOW!! Bob Holl was absolutely amazing!!! The venue told us they have never seen so many people on the dance floor all they way to the last song. I would recommend him to anyone planning an event. My legs were sore for 3 days after my wedding because I danced the whole night. Everyone at our reception complimented the music selection for old and young! Great variety. We absolutely cannot say enough about Bob Holl. Not only is he a fantastic wedding entertainer, he has a wonderful character about him as well which made him fun and easy to work with. Bob took the time to get to know us and learn about our wedding, he listened to our ideas and made them better! We received many compliments from our guests about how Bob carried the night and how the dance floor was going all night! I even had a hard time finding time to leave the dance floor just to get a drink of water. Bob was very professional but still fun and flexible with the change in events as the night went on. Our reception schedule was very loose and impromptu and Bob was on top of the night and kept things moving well.

Bob kept the party going and had a good feel for the group and what music was being liked. And the few songs that didn't work, he cut the song short and put another one on to keep people pumped up.

Everyone's feet were sore at the end of the night from dancing so much and having a great time!

Throughout the entire planning process for our wedding, Bob was a delight to work with. We met multiple times prior to the wedding to ensure that we had a solid plan in place so that everything would go smoothly on our big day. Bob even drove up to Tomahawk to look over the hall where the reception was to be held to get a good idea of where to the best place was for him to set up his equipment(which was of very high quality and gave the perfect sound to the hall). We couldn't be happier with how Bob performed; his experience and professionalism were worth every penny! He played everything we asked of him, which included jumping back and forth between multiple genres. Great job Bob!

My husband and I hired Bob Holl for our March 2013 wedding and we were extremely pleased with his services. Prior to our wedding Bob went out of his way to meet with us at our venue to assist with planning our layout for the day. We found him to be very professional, organized, responsive, and charismatic. He worked with us to create what we envisioned for the day and happily obliged when my Maid of Honor called him the morning of the wedding with just one more must play song! I have a large family and I have never seen so many of my family members dancing as they were at our wedding. Bob did such a great job of tailoring our requests, reading the crowd, and helping out with all the little details that you don't think of until the day of. I don't know where to begin. Bob was everything that a bride wants in a DJ. He was more than someone that you do business with. He become more of a friend. Bob is great. He meets with the couples in advance to go over everything. All of our guests loved him and spoke very highly of him. He is good at feeling out the crowd and playing just the exact right music. We wanted to do a quirky introduction and he was on board with it, making it perfect.

Bob Holl is such a great DJ/Entertainer. We hired Bob Holl to play dinner music and for the dance of our wedding, we could not have been more happy. He came professionally dressed and ready to celebrate our special wedding day. We had so many family and friends ask where we found our DJ... They then said a DJ experience is one thing and a DJ experience from Bob Holl is just an experience in itself~he truly connects with people and interacts with his audience.

If we were to do the whole wedding thing again(which we won't)~Choosing Bob for our entertainer would be at the top of our list! :)

Bob was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was willing to come out to our venue several times to figure out set up even though it was 45 minutes out of Wausau. It may seem over the top to give 5 out of 5 stars on all categories in a review, but Mr. Holl is deserving. I first worked with Bob in 1996, for my first wedding. I had hired a different D.J. service in the beginning of my wedding planning, using a service that was a new business trying to "get going" as a favor to a friend. I had paid my deposit to this other D.J. service and unfortunately soon after my check cleared so did my hired D.J. They took my money and I never heard from them again. I was frantic as my wedding was soon approaching. I came across Bob Holl's name looking in the Yellow pages. I spoke with him on the phone and explained my situation and was so pleased to know that he was actually available for my wedding. Bob was wonderful and my reception was perfect from the first dance as bride and groom to the last song of the evening. As life goes and things happen, my first marriage was not as successful as Bob Holl was our reception. Many years later, in 2008, I was getting married and without a doubt the only option for me was to have Bob Holl provide the entertainment for our reception. Bob is very knowledgeable, professional and dedicated to making your wedding memorable. He is a pro when it comes to keeping your guests entertained and the party going... if it is from playing polka's and waltzes for your grandparents to playing the most popular dance music for those who like to "cut a rug" as they say. He has a great ability of reading your guests and seeing what is needed to keep things fun and entertaining. I hope that I he will be available for my 20th Wedding Anniversary both as my D.J. and my guest!

He really was a Wedding Entertainment "Director." He made sure everything ran smoothly and always asked questions when needed. He made sure to meet a couple of times before the wedding to get to know the couple and plan everything. Music selection was awesome!!!! The dance floor was ALWAYS crowded!! I would definitly recommend Bob Holl to anyone!

I would recommend Bob Holl to any bride. In our preparation meetings he was attentive to ideas and clearly dedicated to giving us exactly the wedding night we hoped for. He really took our suggestions to heart and offered his own excellent advice when we needed it. He did not disappoint on the big day. Our dance floor was packed all night. He read the crowd perfectly. We received tons of compliments on our wedding music. A few even said it was the best wedding play list they've ever heard. Bob - thank you from the bottom of my heart! My biggest goal was to make sure my guests had fun, and you certainly played a huge part in helping me achieve that.

Bob has been providing entertainment for our company holiday events for several years. He is always a welcome part of our celebration. We found Bob to be organized, efficient, flexible, and easy to work with. He is very willing to please and is a great entertainer. Our guests loved the music he played. Bob is an excellent DJ to work with. He's incredibly friendly and easy to approach. He works with you as far as any ideas you may have regarding your music. If you make a list of music you would like to hear, you will be sure to hear them! Unless your list was incredibly long like ours and you wouldn't have enough time to fit them all in.

Bob did an excellent job at our wedding. He really knows how to keep quests on the dance floor and keep them smiling and laughing. He never missed a beat and listens to what you want. Our wedding was in the small hall of a two hall venue. The other wedding was over with by 10:00. A few quests made it into ours and wished us congrats and wished they had Bob at the wedding they were attending.

My husband and I live in Southeastern Wisconsin but chose to get married in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Some things were easy to plan from 4.5 hours away, others were not. Not being from the area, we had to rely on recommendations and reviews from locals and/or websites. Bob Holl was a wonderful find! He made life so easy. He was very professional, he was responsive, he was so very fun and nice. I was very specific in what I wanted for my wedding day (no traditional wedding dances, no bright colored lights, no garter toss, no cake cutting etc.). He respected every one of my requests, gave suggestions and feedback and was willing to do whatever he could to make the day wonderful. I can truely say that the dance floor at our reception was packed all night long and people were having FUN! From cocktail hour until midnight...nothing but wonderful. Bob Holl was worth every single penny. Thank you Bob!!

Bob Holl is The Man for the job if that job happens to be making sure everybody at your wedding has an unforgettable time and the night goes exactly according to plan.

We just got married at the Wild Eagle Lodge in Eagle River (another decision that worked out wonderfully) and we hired Bob as our DJ/MC. Being a musician and both being huge music lovers we were no easy task for him. But Bob was extremely flexible, caring, and energetic about our event from the minute we met him until the last goodbye.

When we first met him, we felt like we were being interviewed and I mean that in a good way...he cares. This isn't just another night cueing up tracks for him. Bob really takes the time to treat each and every wedding like he has a personal stake in it...which makes sense because he does. There's no doubt that each and every wedding he works he attracts more and more clientele.

Bob has a great radio voice, a commanding presence, and a real knack for knowing how to run a party. My wife and I planned the entire wedding but we were going to be busy that night having fun so we needed somebody to move the reception along according to plan. The week of our wedding we met with Bob and worked out the details almost to the minute (sorry Bob!) and Bob pulled it off PERFECTLY!

On top of everything else, Bob has great equipment. He brought out the big boys for this event and man did it sound great. As I was taking my thousandth picture in between the ceremony and reception, I could hear, even from a distance, how good it sounded as he provided background music for the cocktail hour. And needless to say, once the real party started, the dance floor was packed all night.

All I can say is if you're reading this review right now, do yourself a favor and make an appointment to meet with Bob. You can shop around but you won't find anyone better suited for the job.

Working with Bob from the initial planning stages all the way through to the actual reception was a wonderful experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Bob provided wonderful and professional service before and during our wedding! It was apparent that he really cares about meeting the bride and groom before the wedding; he even drove an hour and a half to Minocqua the week of our wedding since we do not live in the area. Bob kept everything running on schedule (first dances, dinner, speeches, etc.) and he was really good at reading the crowd so our dance floor was packed all night! He also met all of our song request needs and if a guest requested a song we had told him not to play, he made sure to get it ok'd with us. He flubbed up on a couple of our wedding party names but he was good at either making a joke out of it or correcting it. Overall, I would highly recommend Bob Holl Entertainment, Bob is professional, his equipment set-up is clean and neat and he works well with others (reception venue, wedding planner, parents, etc.) which I think is very important. We are really happy we booked Bob Holl Entertainment for our wedding!

Bob was awesome. He had a very neat and tidy equipment area, is very professional, had a wide variety of songs, and really worked the crowd well. He met with us in person before the wedding to get a feel for what we were looking for and had books of ideas. He really knows what he is doing and does it well. Lots of guests said that our wedding was the nicest dance they have been to in a long time. We highly recommend Bob Holl Entertainment!

Looking back at the planning process and our wedding itself I must say that I wish ALL my vendors were as hands on, helpful, encouraging, approachable, and knowledgeable as Bob Holl was! I didn't have a single concern when it came to the dance portion of our reception. Bob was very professional, out going, easy going, and open minded. I would highly recommend Bob to anyone looking to have a great time at their reception. Our guests along with my husband and I had an amazing time; the dance floor was full the entire night!

Bob did an amazing job for our wedding reception. He met us before hand and got a feel for what music we liked and preferred. He played the croud and got them involved and dancing! Those words sum up why we hired Bob Holl Entertainment to be the DJ and Master of Ceremonies for our November 2010 wedding. Bob Holl Entertainment was WONDERFUL for our wedding. He was extremely flexible with our requests and went out of his way to find some specific Spanish music that we requested. Wow--- we really can't say enough about Bob Holl! He provides SO much more than your average DJ service. He really took the time to get to know our style, what we wanted and didn't want and he REALLY knew how to keep the party and dancing going at the reception. Bob worked hard to make sure he had all the music we wanted even going out of his way to pick up new music that was special to us. He was easy to work with and even coordinated a surprise from my sister-- we couldn't have imagined having anyone else! What a great dj, a true professional and most importantly a wonderful and kind man. He truly worked hard to make our reception special. Bob is a wonderful DJ! He is the entire package. When my husband asked me to marry him, the first thought I had was to call Bob Holl Entertainment! He has been a DJ for my father's office Christmas parties for several years now and I knew he would do just as wonderful of a job for our wedding. Truth is: we called Bob right away and found out he's so popular that I had only a couple of Fridays in the summer of 2010 or later Saturdays. We changed our minds on our wedding date so that we could have Bob at our wedding - it was a perfect, outdoor Friday afternoon wedding. From the start he helped us plan out things beyond the music details that he knew with experience would make our lives easier. In addition, he consistantly stayed in touch with us regarding our needs and also gave us a very helpful list to guide us when we met at the wedding site. When we had severe weather days before the wedding, Bob was one of our go-to guys. Once our wedding day came, he was fully prepared, smiling, helping and impressed everyone at the wedding! I received SO many compliments throughout the evening - and still am now. I already was contacted by a guest for Bob's information for another wedding. He is a wonderful man with a passion for music, entertainment and satisfying his customers. I truly appreciate everything that he's done!
