Courtney and Michael are absolutely amazing - so fun to work with and super talented. Above all, they both have such a positive, calming presence which was so necessary on our wedding day! We received our wedding preview photos and entire album super quickly and we're still pouring over them a month later :-) Many photographers offer a two person option but I think it would be hard to match the synergy and dynamic that Courtney and Michael share. Our guests even raved about their energy at the reception and how our photos came out (one of the couples even booked them as their wedding photographers!).If you've seen their photos, it is clear they have an amazing eye for detail. Courtney and Micheal truly felt like they were just friends attending our wedding (while happening to take stunning photos). The Blushwood team is undeniably talented and their grounding, reassuring presence made them the perfect photographers to capture our day!

Courtney and Michael were the perfect photography team for our engagement photos! From the first email to getting our photos back, communication was quick and smooth. They made us feel SO comfortable throughout the entire shoot and coached us through the poses. They were also very patient with our energetic puppy who we wanted to include in some photos. The gallery they sent back was absolutely perfect- can't choose a favorite photo! We would absolutely hire them for our wedding but we're getting married abroad. Best Engagement Photographers!
My fiance and I are so glad we hired Courtney and Michael to take our engagement photos. They traveled to Cornell University where we took some beautiful photos that included amazing architecture and our beloved dog. We had the best time! Courtney and Michael were are very detailed oriented and helped guide my fiance and I into the perfect poses. They were extremely flexible with our schedule as we had to move our originally scheduled date due to weather. We have so many beautiful pictures, that it will be hard to choose one for our save-the-dates.

Michael and Courtney were a joy to work with. They made the whole process seamless from step one and really wanted to get to know us and what we were looking for. Planning a wedding from across the country was tough, but Courtney helped it feel personal and still made such a great effort. We had to reschedule for COVID and they made it very easy to make the switch. They were professional and helpful every step of the way. The day of was so much fun and I felt very comfortable with them every step of the way. The photos are absolutely beautiful and everything we could have hoped for!

Working with Courtney and Michael for our wedding was an absolute joy. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, and they took all of the worry away when it came to figuring out photography for the day. Aside from the fact that their work is gorgeous - they are incredibly talented and have a great eye for using natural light and really capturing love and emotion - they were very easy and fun to work with. They were always detail-oriented, organized, and prompt in addressing any questions we had. My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Blush Wood Studios!!! While wedding planning, photography was one of the most important things to us. We stumbled across Courtney and Michael, met with them, and were sold! They made us feel so comfortable during the engagement shoot and even more so on our wedding day! They took the time to scout out locations for the pictures and were prompt and prepared leading up to the wedding which took a lot of stress off of us. They listen and care about your vision for your wedding photos and really make any photos you want come true! I knew I had nothing to worry about and let them do their thing and they killed it!! I cannot say enough GREAT things about Blush Wood Studios! HIRE THEM! Courtney and Michael are incredibly talented. They are extremely creative and work wonderful as a team! My husband and I purchased the wedding photo package to include engagement photos and even went in for the video because we trusted them to do an amazing job, and of course, they did not disappoint! For the engagement session, they made us feel so comfortable and confident. I mean in all honesty, not all of us are the best at posing the right way on cue, but Blush Wood makes you feel so comfy and relaxed! They tell you exactly what looks great, how to pose, and just let you interact with your significant other. Not only that, I LOVE how much they love their job. They really enjoy their work and it shows in everything they do. My favorite part of using their services was watching the wheels spin as all their ideas came to life. They know their lighting, they know the perfect locations, they know the perfect poses!!
For the wedding they were always on point! always in the right place at the right time. They work so well with your wedding schedule and are very detailed. They tell you what works and they are realistic about time frames. For the reception they were EVERYWHERE taking pictures of guests. I had SO MANY compliments from my guests the next day about how much they enjoyed the photographers. If someone wanted their picture, Courtney or Michael was standing by!! Not only were Courtney and Michael's services a reasonable price, but they also were prompt in responding to emails and were at the location when they said they would be there. They listened to all of the ideas we had and were very flexible even after our families remembered the wrong time to show up for family portraits. Courtney and Michael were awesome in every way from the moment we met them until everything was all said and done. We liked what we saw from their samples but once we met them we knew immediately they were the ones for us. They exude a kind aura which made us comfortable from the minute we met them and really helped for the picture taking process. I hate getting my picture taken but they made it so easy. On top of that, their work is great - the pictures they took were high quality, well done, and they found the right backgrounds for all of our pictures. Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue, p.s. you’ll need a photographer too. Courtney and Michael captured every detail of our wedding in a way I could never envision, the photos were breathtaking. Where do I even begin with these two?! Courtney and Michael are the dream team, when you meet them you are immediately drawn to how clearly in love they are with one another and their passion for photography. I am an extremely outgoing person and honestly love any moment to take pictures my husband on the other hand does NOT! At the beginning of our engagement shoot he was very uncomfortable but Courtney and Michael worked magic and did whatever they could to make him comfortable. By the end of our shoot my husband was even requesting places and poses for us!!! From that moment I knew we were in good hands. Our wedding was on our families property during gale winds on a lake soooo that was fun but it didn’t stop this team! With some magic and teamwork they captured the most magical of moments that I will treasure forever. Courtney and Michael provided the best service I could ever think to receive for my photos. They were very flexible in being able to chat in person, via Skype or email with any worries I had about the photos. Throughout the whole process they assured me that they would capture all the special moments and they did. Their prices were very reasonable for the product that was received, their photos captured our wedding so romantically. Every important moment was captured to bring me, my husband and my family memories for years to come. They were good sports when the best man kept snapping selfies with them while they were working. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for wedding photographers. I cannot say enough about this lovely couple and their business...simply the best! Thank you Michael and Courtney :)

They’re so quick to respond to emails and phone calls and listen to everything you want; not only for your photographs, but for your entire wedding day. They want to know your background, how you met, and how you envision your perfect day. They make you feel so comfortable and confident and take the most breath taking photographs I have ever seen.

I had a great experience with Michael and Courtney. They were socialable and very friendly! Taking pictures with this wonderful couple was, not just comfortable but also fun with lots of laughter. We loved Courtney and Michael! They are very flexible in scheduling your engagement session. We have very busy schedules and the day we planned for ended up raining halfway through our session. It was no problem rescheduling. We probably ended up with a way longer session than anticipated, but they didn't mind at all. The quality of our wedding photos was amazing. I am still receiving compliments on the photos :) They were very professional and so much fun to work with. I would recommend them for any event that you're having. Even if you're not photogenic they will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera so it seems more natural.

First off, Courtney and Michael made our engagement and wedding experience AMAZING! When we were looking for vendors for our wedding, we knew photography was a high priority component for us. With that in mind, by the end of our first meeting with Blush Wood to discuss our wedding, we were very at ease and signed our contract that same day!
The whole way through Courtney and Michael took their time and made sure they arrived to our venue with a sense of what was important to us and what shots we definitely wanted to get. By the end, they delivered so many beautiful, amazing photographs of the whole day and all the little details that made it so special to us. They made us feel confident the whole way through, even though neither of us is particularly at ease in front of a camera - after a few moments they have a way of making it all a lot less tense even if you have reservations!
Even after all was said and done, they provide their couples with a sense of consideration - and you can really tell they're passionate about what they do. We're so grateful that we were able to have them as a part of our special day!

We asked Blushwood Studios to take our family Christmas photos with our 9 month old baby girl. Courtney was fantastic! I had originally requested to take our photos at a local tree farm not knowing at the time they would charge us an additional fee (my mistake). Even though we had to find a new spot, Courtney was extremely flexible and knowledable of the area, and ended up taking us to a wonderful campground to take our family photos. I also loved how she was able to capture our little ones attention-the photos were beautiful!

Courtney was an amazing and fun photographer who took absolutely stunning photographs of my husband and I! We scheduled an impromptu photo session with Courtney when it started snowing in Norfolk one day and she was incredible - she had beautiful spots picked out and gave us enough direction that we knew to do but also were able to be playful and ourselves, which really shone through in the pictures. She was energetic and fun and really made us feel comfortable. She also got the pictures to us very quickly and gave us two formats - smaller size for social media and higher resolution for printing - I thought that was great! We're using our beautiful photographs on our Christmas cards this year and they look spectacular. Courtney is wonderful in every way - I give her my absolute highest recommendation!

BlushWood Studios were the most amazing photographers ever!! We hired them for our wedding this past August at the University of Maryland. Courtney and Michael were the most sweetest and talented photographers ever, we did an engagement shoot prior to the wedding with them as well. Our engagement shoot was cold and a very foggy rainy day, however the photos came out beautifully. Courtney and Michael work together great and were able to capture all the important family, friends, events, and details from our wedding. All my family members, friends and bridal party were so happy with the pictures. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for photographers, they are also very reasonably priced. Hiring them was the best decision from our wedding, pictures are what help you remember everything that happens because the day passes by so quickly.

My husband, fifteen month old son, and I had a beautiful Christmas photo shoot with Michael and Courtney of Blush Wood Studios. First of all, I loved the way they worked together, respecting one another's creative eye and naturally bouncing ideas off of one another. This was not a wedding, but they came to my house and photographed my little grandson, who at the time was just a little over a year old. I could not recommend Courtney and Michael more! My husband and I had a really difficult time finding our wedding photographer. Several times we thought we had locked in a photographer and for many different reasons, it didn't work out. From personalities and styles not meshing to serious unexpected illness - we were starting to feel hopeless. Then came Courtney and Michael. They were genuinely interested who we were and how we wanted to translate that into our big day. (This was extremely exciting to us as we had another previous photographer outright refuse to use a suggested pose list or do anything they didn't consider organic or natural.) We had some very specific and some would say eccentric plans for the wedding and reception and instead of shying away from something off the beaten path - they actually were really excited about being able to shoot all the details we had worked so hard to create. On the day of, Courtney and Michael made us feel so special! While I realize many couples opt to have two shooters at their wedding, I feel our ease of having two shooters was extra special because Courtney and Michael make such an amazing team. A million thoughts fly through your head on your wedding day but one thing I didn't stress about was our pictures because we felt so comfortable working with our team. During posed photos they made it fun with our bridal party and out of town family and relaxing during our bride and groom only shots. It was a much needed breather that we used to step back and let the fact sink it that we had just gotten married. And the best part - they caught it all in our pictures! From the beginning they knew how important it was for us to have the details of our wedding captured - from the hand picked centerpiece items to our handmade favors - and they didn't miss one thing. We were blown away by the extent and quality of the photographs that Courtney and Michael captured of our day. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Courtney and Michael with Blush Wood Studios were a pleasure to work with. As someone who has photographed weddings, I was anxious about who I would have on hand to photograph my wedding. I'd have to leave the photographing in someone else s' hands - scary thought! I am happy to say that Blush Wood Studios did a wonderful job with our photos! They arrived early, were mindful of what our goals were with their photos, paid attention to details, gave great direction for our couples portraits and large family photos, and much more. With our particular theme (Wes Anderson inspired), they made a point to do their research for his films so that they could better understand the details we wished to have captured. We ended up with a huge selection of photos from the day, delivered via thumbdrive, separated into different folders for different events within our wedding day. We had both Courtney and Michael on hand, which I would also recommend to you as one person was able to capture the posed photos while someone else could either capture candid shots or step away to capture details that may have been missed when only using a single shooter. We had a stressful time locating a photographer that was flexible with our budget and had the willingness to better understand the theme for our day. I only wish we had reached out to Courtney and Michael earlier! They met us every step of the way with our needs and it was so nice to know that our memories from the day were in such capable hands. Let them shoot your wedding!

Michael and Courtney were very timely and conducted business in a highly professional manner. I was impressed with their ability to choose picture shots that were elegant, uniquely positioned and savvy to my theme. They are personable and genuinely interested in making their brides feel special and taken care of. Highly recommended!!

I absolutely love the personality of Blush Woods Studios' Mrs Courtney Manion! I had such a wonderful time working with her, as she worked with my siblings and I. Her passion and love for photography is evident as she takes her photos. She was very flexible. We had limited amount of space at the place we desired to take our photos, but with Courtney and her creativity it all worked out, and our photos came out fabulous, along with great quality. Today, even though our photos were taken last year, people are still asking who it was that took our pictures and I recommend Blush Woods Studios.

Blush Wood photography provided my family with excellent photos that were used to promote my families singing group. I have recommended them to all of my family and friends. They were very professional, and even though this was last minute for my family, Mrs Manion did an excellent job and was very professional and patient with my family considering the fact that this was The Olds Group's first photo shoot. Blush Wood Studios did a fantastic job at my daughter’s wedding. Michael couldn’t be there unfortunately and Courtney brought along another photographer so we still had two, which I appreciated. They had taken engagement photos at various outside locations which meant a lot to my daughter and of course met the groom who was did not like having his picture taken. It was a great idea because in addition to beautiful wedding pictures the groom was very much at ease around them that they also got some great pictures at the reception.
In the church we had no anxiety that she would miss the pictures that we wanted because she kept consulting the list the bride had given her to make sure they were all taken. After the reception the plan was for the bride and groom to go to her grandmother’s house for pictures taken by the water. Evidently Michael is the one to take the shots where there could be scary things (spiders) or icky things (mud). Courtney put herself out there to take the pictures and even she couldn’t believe she had done it. She put aside her fears to take the pictures that she thought would look great at that specific location. The entire wedding party and guests had a fun day and that fun came across in the pictures.
If you hire Blush Wood Studios expect two very professional photographers willing to put themselves out for the pictures they think will be the best in the location, that will be ready for viewing in what was a realistic timeframe, all for a price that was in our budget. Thank you, Courtney.

They fit very well into our venue, doing an excellent job but in an unobtrusive way. Courtney is very personable and interacted well with our wedding party and guests. Our pre-wedding photos were beautiful and creative. The wedding photos were just what we wanted.

Blush Wood Studios shot our wedding on November 4, 2017 and my Bridal Portraits before the wedding. They are truly a pleasure to work with and you can see their passion as you work with them. As a husband and wife team, they work incredibly well together and they managed to capture every moment I could have possibly imagined. They saw my vision and ran with it, I am so very grateful. They have provided my new husband and me with keepsakes that we will cherish for a lifetime.
