    Katrina was so nice..she always got back.to.me fairly qickly...she was great and all my girls and I makeup came out beautiful and lasted all day long.....

    Katrina was AMAZING! I loved that she came to our venue while we got ready to do makeup for me and my bridal party. She was very professional and had a wide variety of "looks" to choose from. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great make-up artist to make their day that much more special!

    I would highly recommend Katrina and Blush! Makeup Artistry for makeup for any event, be it wedding or other. She did my makeup (the bride) along with my mother and two bridesmaids. She did an absolutely FABULOUS job! She was able to capture what I wanted perfectly (to look done up, but not so much that I couldn't recognize myself). Everyone was impressed with the job she did (on all the girls!) and even my dad (who doesn't like any makeup) thought we all looked wonderful. Thank you SO much Katrina!

    I had a lot of problems with Katrina. Mainly that I could not count on her. I missed my first trial because she never gave me a salon address and would not return my calls the day off to re-schedule. When I finally had a trial with her I was impressed by her skills and decided to sign her. I finally fired her today after waiting since APRIL to get a signed contract form her in the mail. I have emailed her countless times over the past few months and she made excuse after excuse and then finally just ignored my emails. It has caused me too much un-needed stress. It turns out that while she may be talented, she has blown off weddings before to do runway/photo shoots. I cannot stress enough to avoid her for your big day!!

    Afrernote: I had to change my wedding date on here to today so that I could leave this review. My wedding is October 13th of this year.

    Whatever you do, DO NOT hire Katrina of Blush Make-Up Artistry for your wedding. Autumn absolutely made the right choice by cancelling her reservation - Katrina stood me up on my wedding day last weekend, and apparently I'm not the first.

    I guess maybe I should have seen it coming. I first contacted Katrina in February after a disastrous trial with another makeup artist. Katrina was extremely responsive and booked a trial with me in March, and I loved the make-up she did at that trial. I immediately told Katrina I wanted to hire her for my bridal party... and that's when the problems started.

    I filled out the contract Katrina sent me and from March onward waited for her to send it back. She sent me a "soft copy" via email and told me several times she sent a hard copy through the mail as well, but I never received it. Finally, in June, I printed out and sent two copies to Katrina myself in the hopes that she would send back one, all to no avail. I should have cancelled Katrina at that point, but I figured she was an artsy type who wasn't very good at the business end of things, and she assured me over and over that she would be there on the day of my wedding.

    These assurances continued through the night before the wedding, when I confirmed with her the room where we would be getting our makeup done the next morning. At 6:40 pm on the night before my wedding, Katrina sent me a message that said, "Great! See you at 10:30"... and I never heard from her again.

    On the morning of my wedding, 10:30 came and went, and I called, texted, and emailed Katrina numerous times but never heard from her. Finally, we decided that Katrina wasn't just ridiculously delayed but wouldn't be showing up, and my maid of honor made an appointment for me at MAC at Hilldale Mall. Since my wedding day, I've emailed Katrina again asking for any kind of excuse, but she was unable to even give me that. Whatever you do, do not hire this woman.
