Great quality and pricing

Phillip did my sister's wedding 4 years ago and I thought he was so good and so I hired him for my wedding last Saturday. I was extremely indecisive on songs other than the important ones. Phillip took charge and picked amazing songs and kept everything on schedule. Highly recommended!

Amazing party

DJ Phil made our wedding reception so fun for everyone. We received so many compliments from our guests on how amazing he was and we couldn't be happier. We are a shy-er couple and he walked us through all of the events and even threw out some creative ideas to spice up the party!

Amazing DJ!!!

Wedding Reception DJ and entertainment

Phillip was absolutely fabulous. From the first time we met for in introduction, right up to the wedding day, Phillip was very professional and responsive to our needs. He maintained contact with us throughout the 6 months leading up to the event. Phillip helped to make my daughters wedding reception memorable. He is a great listener and extremely organized. Fun time and worth your money!

Everybody loved dj phillip! He got on the dance floor a couple times with us and definitely keep the crowd going! 110% would recommend him for an event.

Philip is incredibly flexible!

Philip was AMAZING at our wedding. We had a few things that we gave him day off and he handled it with ease. It was so nice having someone to rely on knowing he can fit anything in that you throw at him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for your wedding!

Wouldn’t do it differently

Phil rolled with every unplanned change and was very professional through every twist and turn along the way. He answered any and all questions we had and was very involved throughout our entire wedding planning process. I would recommend him to anyone.

DJ Phil kept the great music going all night and we got great compliments in regard to the music. He also attended to our rehearsal which was a plus as he wanted to be more involved. He did so great with introductions and special touches that he had at our special day. He also followed up via email, every month from the moment that we hired him to ensure that things were going great, which I think it was such great personalized touch from him. DJ Phil was awesome with communication and I highly recommend his services. Thanks DJ Phil for everything!

Philip was a huge reason why our day was so special. He did an incredible job, was always patient with us, always checking on us, and would do whatever we would ask for. My wife and I had a great time working with Philip as the DJ for our wedding. He was very accommodating to needs and flexible for any changes that came up. He attended every meet that we had at our venue and looped back with us to discuss any changes and how we'd like our perfect day to go. I would definitely recommend Philip to DJ/MC any event. He was a high quality vendor for a reasonable price!

He is awesome! He came to the rehearsal, played out music perfectly and basically ran the whole wedding program. Very greatful to have him at our wedding! Go with him!

Hire him! DJ Philip is just amazing. We were not planning to hire a DJ for our elopement wedding in Tempe, AZ initially, but found out that renting a PA System alone would be more expensive than having a DJ with a PA System. I talked to three different DJs here in Thumbtack and DJ Philip had the most reviews, and is affordable. After I read his good reviews I wanted him to be our DJ. He was quick to reply, accommodated us last minute and made our wedding day more memorable. He got all the songs I requested played during the wedding and when no one was dancing on the dance floor, he started it, showed some simple dance moves and next thing I know our family and friends were all dancing to his beat/ music. He made the party more fun and the best part of it was, he also talked to our guests and stayed with us until the end (even if it was already beyond the hours we paid for).

You should hire DJ Philip and I promise you won't regret it! We love you DJ Philip! Thank You so much for being a part of our wedding day! :)

If you’re the skeptical type like I am, then you may have the same attitude towards wedding planning. “Can I really trust someone … ANYONE to make my wedding reception a success?”

Well, we met with DJ Philip Gumo months before the wedding and I can say that my husband & I both really liked him from the very beginning! He brought us a couple of things to go over during our initial meeting and left us to decide. No hard sell, no pressure, nothing; just an explanation of the services he provides and what he can do for us!

Since we had chosen him so far in advance, he told us he would check in with us once a month to see if we needed anything, had any questions, etc. We had slowly but surely gotten to work on the song choices list he sent us including the Ceremony Music, Reception Music (what we wanted played during dinner, during the toasts, special dances, & so on), Must Play List, and Do Not Play List. He asked that we send it to him about a month before but was flexible as we had some changes about a week or so before the wedding day.

Fast forward to the wedding day and all I can say is OMG! DJ Philip far exceeded our expectations! We had given him a list with the songs that our guests had requested on the RSVP’s and he combined them perfectly. The mix had Bollywood songs & English songs … and let me tell you, family members who we have NEVER seen dancing were the first out on the dance floor & kept going through the entire night! Guests also seemed to get a kick out of the shoe game we played.

Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend talking to DJ Philip to see if this would be a good fit for your wedding!

My husband and I had previously spoken to another DJ. However, he rarely communicated with us and didn't have many ideas about our big day. When we met with Philip, it was totally different. He came with a long list of song choices and wanted the ceremony and reception details so he could properly MC and DJ the wedding.
On the wedding day, he came prepared and looked very professional. Everyone loved the music and what he added to the event. If I ever need another DJ, I will contact Blue Room Entertainment immediately!

Blue Room Entertainment was really great to work with. They are extremely flexible and want to make your event everything you imagine. Our reception was a total hit with our wedding guests, everyone loved the DJ's energy and the variety of music he played. I would also recommend playing the newlywed game during your reception, everyone loved this and it created so much fun and laughter!

I loved having Blue Room and Phillip as our DJ. He asks the right questions and whatever you want he will stick to it. He really did an awesome job. i highly recommend him. Most DJ's charge you like crazy but he is a flat and fair price. I searched a TON for a good DJ at a fair price and we loved him. I have been to many weddings with a bad DJ and man it ruined the event. We are opening a wedding venue and going to recommend this service. Thanks for making our wedding amazing.

Phil was awesome. He kept the night flowing with some great tunes and made sure everyone got involved in the reception. He filled all of our requests and was super affordable and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him and use him again for future DJ needs.

Dj Phillo is a professional,down to earth, honest , straight forward, super friendly guy. He did a fabulous job at my wedding considering the fact that we hired him 2 weeks before the wedding. I had guest tell me that he was really good and that they thought he was just a friend we knew for years because he was just that cool. I highly recommend Dj Phillo for any wedding, party, business party etc.

If you need a great DJ, you should definitely contact Philip! He was great to work with, met with us twice to go over everything with us and on the day of our wedding he was SUPERB! Philip was on time played such a good variety of music, very funny got the crowd to get involved, he didn't rush anyone when it was open mic. very professional and a GREAT personality!! i would highly recomend him!!!!

Without a doubt one of the best hiring decisions we made! Our DJ, and good friend of mine backed out last second so I was definitely worried about finding a DJ last minute. Thumbtack led me to Blue Room Ent, aka Phil, and he was the first one to respond to my request. From the initial meeting until the end of the wedding he did a phenomenal job. Good, genuine personality and great timing on all our songs! One BIG plus we'll give to Phil is his acceptance in letting us pick about 90% of the songs.. He filled the gaps well and did a great job MC'ing. I can't stress enough how well you did Phil. Referrals will be gladly sent your way..

Philip was excellent!!!!! Blue Room Entertainment provided a quality experience for us and our guests. He was on time with all the necessary equipment. We had compiled a list of the music and various genre's we wanted played during the reception and Philip most definitely delivered. Everyone enjoyed the music and several of our guests inquired about Blue Room Entertainment. Philip allowed us to focus on enjoying ourselves. The music was absolutely magical and we will use Blue Room any time we have an event. Philip was so easy to work with. We had no idea what we were doing while planning our wedding day. Philip kept the crowd moving. He gave us subtle direction. And he never seemed worried. Philip was a great addition to our wedding! He was fun, professional, and kept the party going! The music selection was great and he played all of our must haves. We played the shoe game and Philip's questions had everyone laughing the whole time, including us! He was so flexible throughout the night, rearranging things as our reception went on. Everything ran so smoothly and he even made a great toast that many have talked about since! I would highly recommend booking with Blue Room Entertainment for your DJ!

Philip is a wonderful DJ who delivered on everything we asked for & more. He knows how to flow with the guests & he doesn't just play music, he's entertaining to our guests as well. We highly recommend him & plan on recommending him for our sister's wedding.

Philip with Blue Room Entertainment did an awesome job for our reception. Philip met with the bride and groom prior to the event to ensure all of their needs and wants were met. He has an incredible amount of music to choose from and offered guidance when we became a little overwhelmed. He kept our party going all night long. Phil was great to work with and was very responsive as a vendor. The only issue at all that we had with him was that he wasn't very enthusiastic as an MC on our wedding night and so some guests told us that they wished he was more engaging. However, we had a very dance-oriented group and Phil arranged the songs great, so our large dance floor was filled with people almost the entire night. I loved him as a bride because I never had to worry about him for a second AND he even came to our rehearsal so everyone would know when to walk with the music. Very great, just recommend to him to be more engaging and enthusiastic as an MC. Overall, great cost and great equipment. I also wish he would have checked to see how to handle the lights at our venue. Probably not his job, but I don't know who would handle it.. Our lights were bright and a random cousin had to track down how to turn them down, and they were still too bright. But again, probably not specifically a DJ's job.

Phillip indeed was a pleasure to work with. As the bride, my now husband and I met with Phillip a few times before the actual wedding date. We saw eye to eye on most things and seemed to have great chemistry so we went with Phillip right after meeting him. As music junkies that we are we needed an exceptional DJ. Phillip did his best no doubt about it but unfortunately besides the songs given or requested of him not much of his music we enjoyed. He did have a nice ambiance but not what we expected after our discussions. All in all he was indeed flexible and was willing to work with us on our payment as well as on the day of, with schedule changes. He has a great personality and I would definitely recommend him to others.
