Melissa Lusk from Blue Moon Bakery made our wedding cake. Prior to choosing her I was able to review a portfolio of previous cakes and loved her work. We had a vision for our cake but also a budget, and Melissa was able to accommodate both. She crafted an absolutely gorgeous tiered cake with painted mountain design and we augmented this with cupcakes to reduce the cost. Both were delicious in addition to being beautiful! She displayed the cake perfectly for us the day of the wedding and I couldn't have imagined it coming out any better. I would highly recommend her and Blue Moon Bakery to anyone in the area!

Blue Moon Bakery completed exceeded our expectations! We were traveling from MD so there was no tasting and we were not able to see the product before the day of the wedding. They provided the most beautiful wedding cake. It had mountains and trees to celebrate our trip to the Rockies, and it tasted AMAZING! They are wonderful at what they do! I would highly recommend them!

I ordered a three tier naked lemon cake and it was PERFECT! The cake looked gorgeous and tasted even better. The red velvet sheet cake was also amazing. Ben and the rest of blue moon were great to work with and affordable!

Blue Moon Bakery did a great job with our wedding cake! We were able to communicate completely via e-mail and phone as we were planning a destination wedding. They were incredibly helpful in picking out flavors since we couldn't do a tasting and the end result was amazingly delicious! The cake was also decorated exactly how we wanted and it looked perfect for our mountain wedding!

Our wedding cake was gorgeous! We went in with a specific idea for our cake and they made it happen. Delivery was seamless considering the cake was just there at our reception without us having to lift a finger. Prices were fair. We couldn't have been happier with our winter wedding cake. Also, the flavors are delicious!

Blue moon bakery delivered delicious, fast, affordable cupcakes that our wedding guests loved! From our first taste test to our last bit of leftover cupcakes, every bite was fantastic. We had 3 different cupcake flavors for 70 guests, all customizable to our hearts' contents.

In addition to the taste, Blue Moon's timeliness and overall utility really shone through; while many of our vendors required hand-holding to some extent, Blue moon took care of everything with our venue in Breckenridge from start to finish. Even despite a bit of a commute (~20 mins), their delivery charge was reasonable and they needed little additional instruction for a seamless delivery.

Whether you have a grand party in mind or are just looking for a good place to satisfy your afternoon sweet tooth, I would definitely recommend Blue Moon for anybody living in or visiting Summit county.

Our cake was exactly as we had imagined and tasted wonderful. Many of our guests went up to get seconds and thirds.

We were set on having cheesecake at our wedding, as we didn't want the traditional wedding cake and Ben Reil at Blue Moon Bakery did an amazing job! We did a mix of different cheesecakes and dessert bars and not only did they look fantastic, everyone loved the desserts! Ben was so easy to work with, he was very flexible and their prices are very reasonable. It took us forever to try and find a baker that would do cheesecakes and we truly lucked out when we found Ben at Blue Moon Bakery!

Our wedding cake was exactly what I envisioned! We were able to take care of the details via email and phone since we live about 3 hours away. They were creative and our cake tasted and looked amazing! I would recommend them to my closets friends and family.

Blue Moon Bakery provided the dessert for our wedding & we could not be happier. Ben was great to work with - he is extremely flexible & professional. I didn't really have a "vision" for our wedding cake so I left it in his hands & I was blown away by the results. He delivered a beautiful mountain-themed wedding cake & absolutely delicious cupcakes. Our guests raved about all of it. I would highly recommend Blue Moon Bakery to anyone!

Blue Moon Bakery was a dream to work with! Ben the owner is absolutely fantastic! We ordered an eight inch round cake and 3 different flavors of cupcakes for our wedding and everything turned out beautifully and tasted delicious! My husband and I found ourselves stopping by to grab a treat every time we were in the area. I didn't even have to give him a photo of what I wanted. I just explained it, he drew it, I gave him a color sample and he nailed it! Best baked goods in Summit County! Cannot recommend enough!!!

We got our cupcakes and cutting cake from our wedding from Blue Moon Bakery. We got lots of rave reviews from our guests about the cupcakes and they were nicely done. The cutting cake was gluten free and tasted great!!! It was beautifully decorated with snowflakes, we were so pleased. Price was definitely fair for value provided.

I cannot recommend Ben and Blue Moon Bakery enough! Ben was the best vendor we had - very laid back while still very very professional. The tasting was such a treat, but our cake on the day of... so delicious.

As for the design, we had asked for a simple mountain piping design on our cake and what we got was so above and beyond that it left me speechless. My cake wasn't something I thought would be important and now it's the first thing I tell people about our wedding day... it was that amazing.

Very satisfied with the look and taste of my wedding cake. The grooms cake was also perfect. It was a yummy cheesecake with a personalized logo on top. Great value and taste.

I used Reil Mountain Confections (part of Blue Moon Bakery) for my October 2013 wedding. They provided us with free samples and several quotes before we found the perfect order for us. I had a small two tier cake and three varieties of cupcakes. The wedding cake was even more gorgeous than I pictured in my head! And the cupcakes tasted fabulous. Ben was great to work with and executed our idea perfectly. I would recommend this bakery to anyone looking for special event cakes.

My husband and I had cupcakes for our wedding from Blue Moon Bakery. We've been in this bakery several times before, and have never been disappointed in the food, so we were excited to have our cupcakes made by this bakery. Working with Ben was honestly the easiest part in our wedding planning. He was so professional and flexible with us. We wanted a few different flavor options, including some without any icing, and he was 100% onboard with our requests. He was able to throw a cupcake tasting together for us within a few days notice. We know he's constantly busy, but he took the time out for us and devoted that time to us-it wasn't like he was trying to rush through it or acted like his mind was on something else. Let's not forget the most important thing: the cupcakes themselves. They were absolutely delicious and did not disappoint! I felt they were very reasonable in price as well.

My husband and I had our wedding cake made by Ben at Blue Moon Bakery. There were so many options to choose from and every one of them was amazing. The design of the cake was perfect. All of our wedding guests loved the cake. As a bonus, Ben even delivered the cake for us to our reception location free of charge. We will definitely be getting our anniversary cake from the bakery next year!

Ben was beyond fabulous! My husband, who was pretty apathetic towards any kind of wedding planning, was absolutely thrilled when we did our tasting at Blue Moon. I hadn't seen him get excited about anything at all during the planning, and he could not wait until the wedding just to eat our cake and cupcakes! Ben had a great vision of what we wanted and brought it to life. Additionally, I needed a groom's cake at the last minute designed with Jets and Cubs logos. Ben made it happen! Thanks to him, our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner desserts were the hits of the night! Thank you so much, Ben!

Amazing!!

Ben was absolutely fantastic from when we first met with him to taste cake through all of my mind-changing about the cake design. He was wonderful to work with and I cannot recommend him highly enough. In the end, our cake was even better than I'd hoped it would be. It tasted amazing and looked absolutely gorgeous. If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing (except, perhaps, find a way to eat more cake at the reception). It was perfect!

Ben, the owner of Blue Moon was so easy going. He did everything we asked without hesitation. My mom hand made sugar flowers and he drove up to the site early in the morning on a bumpy dirt road with 9 wedding cakes for us and hand placed each flower on each cake. he did a great job...everything looked awesome and tasted fabulous. He has so many flavor combinations to choose from as well, so there is something for everyone. We tested many places before we decided to work with Ben at Blue Moon. Most places are not nearly as accomodating, and surprisingly some are even rude (Sugar for example).

I would recommend Blue Moon Bakery for wedding cupcakes. We had cupcakes for our wedding and worked with Ben. Ben was very flexible and had me mail him a swatch of our colors for the wedding so he could match the icing color, which he did. Although I didn't get a chance to have a cupcake, we heard numerous times that they were wonderful.

The cake was phenomenal. We loved the floral arrangement on it, the pattern, and of course, the taste! Chef Real was really flexible up until the last week even! We would definitely work with them again.

Working with Ben was fantastic. He was so flexible even when we changed our total number of guests from 125 to 160. I have received many comments saying that our cake not only looked good but really tasted good as well - the best tasting wedding cake ever.

We decided to just do a 8 inch round cake for me and my husband to cut. I ordered the cake over the phone and we never tasted it until we cut it at the reception. And it was DELICIOUS. We ordered their carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and it was so tasty. I just wanted to sit there and keep eating. Highly recommend Blue Moon!

Blue moon was extremely easy to work with and were beyond friendly and helpful, not to mention their cake and cupcakes were delicious! It was by far the best tasting cake we taste-tested! The only reason I did not rate this a 5.0 is because of the exterior design. There were a couple colors on there that I didn't want and the decorative pieces that I paid EXTRA for, weren't even on the cake. As far as taste goes however, you can't beat it. The cupcakes were a huge hit and there wasn't a single one left.

After many trials and tribulations with our wedding cake, Ben at blue moon saved our wedding cake nightmare! He helped us organize a dessert buffet complete with assorted pastries, chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, and a small two tiered cake. Everything was delicious. There was some minor trouble cutting one of the cake tiers as it was crumbling but it tasted delicious in crumbled pieces too! We are looking forward to going back and checking out the cafe in Silverthorne on our next visit.

Melissa and the other staff at Blue Moon were very nice folks, but they didn't seem to have things all the way organized and communication was definitely slow. The cupcakes we ordered were just what we wanted though and very delicious!
