Beatrix was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and worked with me. Her presentation of her desserts is amazing along with the taste! Everyone at my wedding RAVED about the cake and wanted to know who made it! I will defiantly be recommending her to others for any party or event! -

We used Blue House Bakeshop for our August 2025 wedding and Beatrix was absolutely amazing to work with. She delivered all baked goods and set up at our Jay Peak venue without any issues and we got great feedback about the desserts from guests. She did a single tier cake and assortment of cupcakes for us, including customized buttercream flavor (maple) at our request.
She was super helpful with figuring out how many cupcakes we should have, and I think we ended up with the perfect amount. There were plenty for guests and we had leftovers afterwards to enjoy.
The maple carrot cake is EVERYTHING. We loved it so much that it was both our main cake and one of our cupcake flavors. The decorations on it were beautiful, which was also feedback we got from guests.
Beatrix provided great customer service and organization from beginning to end, starting with the adorable little tasting cakes she made when we were first trying her out. Highly recommend all around! -

Beatrix at Blue House Bakeshop made an amazing cake and cupcakes for our wedding. The cake was stunning and fit incredibly with the "wild flower" theme of our wedding. Even more importantly, it was delicious. In addition, Beatrix made 150 mini cupcakes that were gone instantly at the reception because they tasted so good. Most impressively, every dessert she made was gluten-free. We would highly recommend Beatrix to anyone who has a food sensitivity, as she was so easy to navigate allergies and intolerances with, while also delivering a product that is amazing. Beatrix was so easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, and made planning for the dessert at our wedding so stress-free. -

Beatrix provided the most delicious desserts for our wedding. We worked with her to design our cake and to provide a variety of cupcakes for our guests. Every flavor combination was great and we absolutely loved the floral design Beatrix helped us come up with. She was wonderful to work with and we would highly recommend her! -

Winter Wedding 2025
Beatrix was the absolute best to work with! From the beginning, she provided us with the cutest sample package to make our dessert tasting perfect and personal. She had great communication and attention to detail with everything finalized weeks before the wedding. On our wedding day, the weather brought it all; snow, sleet, freezing rain, high winds — And she delivered flawlessly. The dessert bar was the talk of the night. We had a personalized cake for ourselves, mini cupcakes, cider donuts, fruit tarts and cream puffs. They were the most delicious treats I have ever tasted, and our guests are still raving about them. We are so thankful we booked her for our day and are counting the days until our anniversary so we can celebrate with her treats again! -

As a sugarmaker and maple syrup enthusiast, it was essential to my husband that maple syrup took center stage in our wedding desserts—and Beatrix absolutely delivered! From start to finish, she worked closely with us to create the perfect maple-inspired treats for our guests. We truly appreciated her quick communication and patience as we navigated our indecisiveness. She even accommodated a special frosting recipe and provided some gluten-free options, all of which were a hit. Everything tasted incredible and so fresh.
One of the best parts about working with Beatrix is that as a local baker, we can continue to enjoy her amazing desserts year-round! We’re grateful for her dedication to making our day extra sweet, and we can’t recommend her enough.

We used Blue House Bakeshop for our wedding cake and it was the best decision we could have possibly made. The cake was beautiful and tasted AMAZING! Everyone absolutely loved it and ate lots of cake. We went with two different cake flavors (two tiers each), and it was perfect. We loved our tasting as well, Beatrix was a dream to work with. We even bought apple cider donuts to give out as a surprise late-night snack, and everyone loved them. -

Professional, Versatile, Delicious
Our guests were talking about our cupcake wedding for weeks afterwards! I loved how we had control over the flavoring of our cupcakes and could match it to our theme. I also loved how we had different choices for different flavor profiles. Beatrix was amazing and completely affordable! -

Beatrix made our wedding extra sweet with some of the best desserts and cake we've ever had! We asked for a custom 4-inch cake for us and a dessert bar for our guests, and everything was a hit—nothing was left by the end of the night! Beatrix worked with us to design a gorgeous cake, and her artistic touch made it even more special. Our dessert bar featured brownie bites, cider donuts, fruit tarts, vanilla cream puffs, and vanilla cake truffles. The double chocolate cake with raspberry filling was simply amazing! -

Beatrix at Blue House Bakeshop was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding! She worked with us to come up with custom flavors and options and hosted a tasting for us before our event. She was extremely professional and prompt with communications. She delivered our desserts to our venue and created the most beautiful display for our reception. Our wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and our guests were raving about how delicious all of the desserts were. Beatrix's baking is delightful. We loved tasting so many flavors, their delivery was seamless, and the baked goods were delicious. We were on a budget and loved that Blue House Bakeshop had options that worked well for our needs. We had about 95 guests and ordered 140 cupcakes in lemon and double chocolate flavors, we only had a few left over to enjoy the next morning ;) One guest shared they had 8, so be sure to order more than you need, people will go back for more! -

We hired Beatrix & Blue House Bakeshop for our wedding in June of 2023 and had the absolute BEST experience. If you're looking for a professional, flexible, talented baker for your next special event -- look no further. Beatrix not only made our wedding-cake dreams come true, but she also baked a variety of treats (cookies, cupcakes, brownies, fruit-tarts, etc.), in a variety of flavors (everything was so good we had a hard time deciding what to pick). She even provided gluten-free options for each! Everything was so delicious that even the gluten-snobs were eating the gluten-free treats to get a taste. Everything was perfect!
Blue House Bakeshop provided the wedding cake as well as chocolate covered strawberries, apple cider donuts, chocolate chip cookies, and blueberry hand pies for our wedding. The cake looked exactly the way I wanted it to. Everything was delicious! My mom said the chocolate chip cookies were the best she had ever tasted!
I was very happy with the communication and set up. Im not from VT so we communicated totally online. Beatrix was very responsive.
Highly recommend!! -

Beatrix made our desserts for our wedding a few weekends ago and we were blown away! From our first tasting in the fall we fell in love with so many different desserts so knew we had to have them all at our wedding. We also wanted a small personal cake and cake for my 30th birthday the next day. We were having a slightly harry potter themed celebration and let Beatrix know. She knocked it out of the park, not only were the cakes beautiful but everyone kept coming up to us to say how delicious everything was! My husband and a lot of his family are gluten free so she was able to make everything gluten free for us and it was incredible. We also ended up moving our wedding date up a few months and she was so easy to work with and flexible with the changes. Highly highly recommend booking Blue House for any of your dessert needs!! We will be back for our next event. -

Working with Beatrix was a breeze! From the moment those cupcakes and homemade Oreos touched our lips, we knew we made the right decision. Her cupcakes are absolutely amazing and the homemade Oreos were a great addition to our dessert table. She even created a custom s'mores cupcake! Beatrix set up the dessert table at the venue too, which took a huge weight off our shoulders. We highly recommend Bluehouse Bakeshop for your sweet treats. -

Great choice for our intimate wedding!
Beatrix was great to work with! After our tasting we decided on a small semi-naked two tiered cake (cider cake + brown butter vanilla buttercream and vanilla cake + raspberry filling), some double chocolate cupcakes, and as favors we got the homemade Oreos to leave in our guests room. Everyone loved it! -

We had our beautiful cutting cake (CHOCOLATE HEAVEN), mini strawberry cheesecakes, the. Eat chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had, cider donuts, mini cupcakes (lemon, peanut butter and chocolate) and we even had ten set aside for our gluten free guest!! Beatrix was amazing to work with and we are so fortunate to have found her. We highly recommend her, your taste buds will not be disappointed!!! -

Gorgeous AND delicious
We have now ordered two event cakes from Blue House and both times they completely exceeded our expectations! The cakes were not only totally gorgeous and delicious, but she has low/no lactose options, is super professional and easy to communicate with and flexible to boot. I can't recommend Beatrix highly enough! -

We are so glad we went with Beatrix and Blue House Bakeshop. When my fiancé tasted the cake from the tasting (one day late) he was so obsessed he threatened regularly to drive 10 hours roundtrip to get more. We went with a semi-naked lemon cake and along with being so tasty, it may have been the most beautiful wedding cake I've ever seen. With all the commotion going on, I definitely stared at it at least 5 times (Also recommend Understory Farms for flowers). They were the only bakery I did a tasting with, because when you know, you know. She also made double chocolate cakes for a birthday surprise for one of my bridesmaids the next day that were delicous. As a bride, there are so many decision to make. This is an easy one -

We cannot be happier with the wedding cake and cupcakes Beatrix made for us! We ordered the maple walnut carrot cakes. Beatrix was able to incorporate our ideas, feedback, and gave us helpful suggestions with regard to the size, quantity, and style of the cakes. She delivered the exact cakes we wanted on our wedding day! Many of our guests came to us at and/or after the wedding, giving compliments on the cakes and asking where we got them! Great flavors and classy design!
I never got to meet Beatrix personally because I planned the Vermont wedding from San Diego but she was incredibly responsive over email and super helpful designing the cake. We opted for mini cupcakes and a smaller coconut cake for the ceremonial cutting. Everything was delicious and the guests raved and couldn't decide which flavor was their favorite. Peanut mocha was the top of my list. Yum! -

We did a taste testing with Beatrix and knew right away we wanted to use Blue House Bakeshop for our cake and desserts. She was very personable and was able to talk with us about different ideas for the cake. We ended up ordering a ton of cupcakes to go with our cake so people had options for flavors. We thought we may have some leftovers, but they were so good there was none leftover after the wedding. The pricing was super reasonable for all of the desserts we good and the quality was amazing. People were still talking about the cake after the wedding. She even made the inside of the cake a camo patter to match our deer cake topper. -

Fabulous Cake, Fabulous Experience
Bea created a stunning cake for my wedding. She was very professional and personable. She responded quickly to any questions. I ordered a 2 tiered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. It is the best carrot cake I have ever had. My guests are still talking about the frosting, it was that good. I will be throwing a reception in the summer and will certainly be working with her again. -

I had received quotes from a lot of different bakeries in the Burlington area, but Beatrix replied almost immediately and with friendly clear information. It was all so simple. She gave me a price, I sent her Pinterest pictures of cakes I liked, and my husband and I picked flavors (blind). They delivered to the venue and when we saw the cake we were blown away. It looked exactly like it had in my dreams. And I am still having people tell me how delicious it was. All around great experience.
