The staff was so welcoming and made our wedding day so special! They were easy to contact, responded quickly and were flexible. They helped with the little details, too, and even helped clean up a little at the end of the night :) -

I wish I would have known about the lack of professionalism and experience the owners have before we booked - we would have gone somewhere else. For our 30 day meeting that I had booked a month in advance and I had several people able to come to hammer out final details, the owner told me that morning that it wouldn't work as her husband surprised her with a date night. Also, all emails and documents had spelling and grammar errors and would use ur instead of your, etc. I'm her customer, not her friend. She also had to ask me several times about details we had already either spoken about or emailed about. Thank gosh I had a great coordinator apart from Blue Haven that took off the stress that this owner put on me!Blue Haven Barn and Garden's reply:
I apologize for the disappointment. The email I sent to the bride about our planning meeting said I had forgot my wedding anniversary and if you couldn't reschedule that was fine. I was absolutely in panic that I did this. I hated to even ask. She said it was fine, if not I would have kept my commitment for sure. Also, I am usually not one to challenge a review as there is always room for improvement but during our 30 day meeting I was given no details as nothing was prepared - no seating plans, guest counts, beverage request. My notes indicated several comments "Will let me know." - I followed up with these blanks as part of trying to make details perfect; I did not mean to seem unorganized. The beverage order was changed multiple times and the family kept trying to bargain prices with me, which are price very close or less than other venues. I knew the father was upset about this but I didn't think it would be fair for other brides. In addition, we made further arrangements to only sell Budweiser products as a special request for this wedding. I agree this wedding felt completely unorganized and I tried my hardest to make sure we had all the details perfect. I even took time to contact the wedding planner and ask for a seating chart so I could make sure set up was ready for them. The mom called me the next day to tell me how happy she was and was so thankful we stayed with them until 1am on a cold night while they waited for there shuttle that was delayed. I apologize for the lack of service, we do strive to be extremely detailed which is why my planning list is 4 pages long. I have made some changes after this occurrence and am extremely clear with brides to try to have as many details as possible for me for our 30 day meeting.
