Blandwood Carriage House Reviews

I am very happy with my experience with the Blandwood. Amanda was incredibly responsive and helpful. She was basically like a second wedding planner and was so sweet during the entire process. We switched plans between getting married inside vs outside a few times due to COVID and then due to the rain. Amanda was very accommodating. The Carriage House was a beautiful location for the wedding, and we got gorgeous photos outside when the rain stopped. I would highly recommend this venue and especially the Blandwood staff to any bride.

Everything was perfect for our big day! Amanda was great to work with and the historic nature of the property was an excellent choice for my husband and I.

We had a fantastic experience at Blandwood Mansion Carriage House. Amanda is an absolute dream to work with - patient, flexible, responsive, and helpful. We had a beautiful, intimate wedding in the space and could not be happier with the service we received.

The carriage house at blandwood mansion was the perfect place for our small wedding. It fit our 65 guest wonderfully. The place is beautiful and you can do so much to it! You also get to use all their gardens for pictures! If you want a beautiful place but do not want to go broke, this is the place to go with.

I loved this venue! It was the perfect size for my wedding and you can't beat the price! The contact person was prompt in her responses and worked very hard to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend it.

Overall, my experience with the Carriage House was a positive one, but there are a couple of things that could have been better.

Firstly, I do think that the price is a little high. I think for a comparable price, you could find a much larger venue. However, I will say that this price does allow you access to all the gardens and outdoor areas, which are really nice for photography.

Secondly, I had an issue regarding setup for my event. I was assured, in no uncertain terms, that the tables and chairs for my event would be set up by 9am the day before, so that my decorator could get to work. I arrived at 9:30, and nothing was set up. At all. Honestly, this is just unacceptable. While the venue coordinator was relatively quick to fix the issue, it did result in a lot of added stress for me, and it cost myself and the decorator two hours. Again, the price you're paying for this space is not insignificant, so I feel like this sort of mistake is really uncalled for.

Natalie (our contact) was was very professional, responsive, informative and a "5" in all aspects.

The facility has some issues that prevent it from being a viable choice for us in the future. Someone must make a commitment to that facility - upkeep is critical when you want to attract events. Although parking is a huge issue, it can be overcome with planning.

PLEASE embrace this building and help it continue to be one of the most beautiful spots in Greensboro!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Blandwood Carriage House. Amanda is flexible and easy to work with. The main two downfalls were the bathroom flooding and the temperature during the reception. It was embarrassing for us because our guests were complaining of being hot. However, the issue was resolved in a timely manner!

Not as well-equipped as it could be. For instance, there is no sound system. The one big flaw was that the room was not set up when we were told it would be. They did all they could to make it right quickly.
